I would highly recommend Affordable Insulation. I wanted to "top off" and increase the insulation in my attic as well as add insulation to my 3 car garage. Marcus came out to do an estimate very quickly. He inspected the attic and told us we were at or over code and he didn't recommend adding any more. He also recommended we reduce the R value over the garage since I wasn't going to run climate control in there 24/7. That was fair, and honest. Hard to find in business this day and age! Jason came out and ran the crew on installation day. They did the insluation over the garage, and blew insulation into two walls and some random spots and were done in less than 2 hours. The two friendly technicians added the requested amount of new insulation to our attic in less than two hours, respected the cleanliness of our home, and provided an assessment of our old 90's insulation's shortcomings and how they resolved those issues. Their pricing is very reasonable, and, what I appreciate the most, is that they don't push for extra services/projects that aren't necessary. Marcus came out on the agreed date and time to give me a quote. I was concerned that the house insulation may have settled in the 7 years I had lived there. I also wanted to have the garage walls and ceiling insulated. Marcus looked in the attic and told me that the house insulation was over the city's required level of insulation, and informed me I didn't need insulation in the house. I contacted Marc Truxillo with Affordable Insulation for a quote to insulate my attic. I simply gave him my address and approximate square footage of my house. Within 24 hours, Mr. Truxillo sent me a quote. It was more reasonable than quotes I received from other companies in the area. He was able to provide a lower quote for payment made with cash vs credit card. This saved me more money. He was able to schedule his crew to fit my schedule and my availability. Jason and Marcus arrived as scheduled. They inspected the attic then put out some protective blankets to prevent damage to my paint and flooring. They ran a 6 inch hose from their service vehicle, through my living room, and up the stairs into the attic. Jason spent about and hour in the extreme heat of the attic while Marcus ran the truck pumping insulation. I was surprised that there was very little noise. They added between 10 and 12 inches of insulation. Marcus added a 10 inch insulation pad to the trapdoor to my attic. After they finished, they vacuumed away the debris that fell out of the attic opening. From the time they arrived to the time they left my house was an hour and 20 minutes. Used Affordable Insulation to blow in fiberglass insulation into attic above 3 car garage. They were quick to reply to my initial inquiry and follow up questions. Marc had the estimate to me the same day I contacted them. I already had installed the soffit baffles myself so they only needed to blow in the insulation.
