Cue the arrival of Marcus and Jason, two of the nicest, most respectful guys I've ever had the pleasure to meet. After crawling around in my attic, checking out the upstairs, going room to room - they told me the cold, hard truth... there's nothing wrong with my insulation. The heat/cold distribution is a byproduct of the setup of our a/c unit and duct work and they wouldn't have added any more to what I already had. The two friendly technicians added the requested amount of new insulation to our attic in less than two hours, respected the cleanliness of our home, and provided an assessment of our old 90's insulation's shortcomings and how they resolved those issues. I also wanted to have the garage walls and ceiling insulated. I contacted Marc Truxillo with Affordable Insulation for a quote to insulate my attic. I simply gave him my address and approximate square footage of my house. Within 24 hours, Mr. Truxillo sent me a quote. It was more reasonable than quotes I received from other companies in the area. He was able to provide a lower quote for payment made with cash vs credit card. This saved me more money. He was able to schedule his crew to fit my schedule and my availability. Jason and Marcus arrived as scheduled. They inspected the attic then put out some protective blankets to prevent damage to my paint and flooring. They ran a 6 inch hose from their service vehicle, through my living room, and up the stairs into the attic. Jason spent about and hour in the extreme heat of the attic while Marcus ran the truck pumping insulation. I was surprised that there was very little noise. They added between 10 and 12 inches of insulation. Marcus added a 10 inch insulation pad to the trapdoor to my attic. After they finished, they vacuumed away the debris that fell out of the attic opening. From the time they arrived to the time they left my house was an hour and 20 minutes. Used Affordable Insulation to blow in fiberglass insulation into attic above 3 car garage. They were quick to reply to my initial inquiry and follow up questions. Marc had the estimate to me the same day I contacted them. I already had installed the soffit baffles myself so they only needed to blow in the insulation.
