love how they "show me the donuts"

I'm still very impressed with this location. It is the only one that offers off menu options such as Ube and Padan glaze. The store itself is always very clean and the employees are very friendly and helpful in making selections. They host special events for the community. They also cater weddings and parties.

Everybody's been telling me that I need to try this place. I've been here almost a year. I don't know why it took me so long to try duck donuts may because I knew that they were gonna be good. Greeted right away with a Good morning welcome to Duck Donuts. The team member asked me have I ever been to a duck donuts? I informed him that I had not. He took the time to explain to me how their donuts are made in the process of how they do their donuts. Such a big selection I didn't know where to begin, so I order two dozen of just random donuts . The best part is watching them make all of your donuts right in front of you. After bringing them home, they taste as amazing as they look. If not even better. I think I'm hooked. I think I have a new donut home. I cannot wait to go back. I really want to try their frappe. It looked so good and of course has more varieties of donut said I need to try could you could try them all in one day. Even though donut Sundays look and sound good now I know if I want an ice cream fix I might just have to try them as well. If you haven't been, I highly recommend and please don't take as long as I did to go and try them because they are definitely worth it. Unless you're afraid of getting hooked on them.

I am glad I remembered to stop by at Duck Donut today, as they are making special donuts to celebrate Philippine Independence Day. And just for today in the Chesapeake & Norfork locations only they are making special Ube & Buko Pandan donuts (Wed -6/12/24). They are making them all day. I rushed in early this morning, and soon as I walked in the door you just get that fresh smell if cooked donuts and sweet smell of toppings. I only focused on the special donuts today, and I have to say they are tasty. I tried both, but I'm just an "Ube" kinda girl. Lol If you have a chance stop by and give them a try. I always believe in trying something new once. And happy I did!

This will always be our go-to donut place whenever we're back in the 757. And honestly, probably our favorite donut spot ever until another pops up. YES, they ARE pricey but I definitely think it's worth it. Their donuts are like little cakes in donut form. They're moist and delicious, and they have endless flavors to choose from. The staff was friendly and they worked fast despite the long line. The space itself was mehh. Nothing too fancy about it, just basic. I do like how they have the history of the franchise displayed on the walls. Overall, come here. You won't be disappointed.

This place was awesome! I highly recommend going there if you are in the area. Super friendly and nice staff. And the best donuts I've ever had.

Literally, some of the best donuts I've had. The donuts come out, fresh, and hot, and they make them right in front of me. There are several different flavors that you could choose from. I was literally in heaven. They also have several different other items on their menu, like milkshakes, or donut cakes, you name it. The Young girl, working behind the counter was very sweet as well. Everything inside the store was very clean, and made me feel At ease. Bathrooms are clean as well! Definitely recommend this to anyone looking for some delicious donuts anytime of the day.

these delectable donuts are a flavor explosion for your taste buds. The perfect blend of various flavors makes each bite a delightful experience. Whether you crave classic tastes or adventurous combinations, this place has something to satisfy every donut enthusiast's palate. Highly recommend!

always made fresh to order. Plenty of choices, probably the hardest part of getting these donuts, what to pick. Whatever you get, you can't go wrong. If you love cake donuts this is your places to go. They offer donuts sandwiches for breakfast (eggs bacon cheese) coffee, milks, and donut ice cream sandwiches. Literally could eat here everyday ! Clean restaurant. Great customer service. If you've never been here, you're missing a piece of heaven in your life.

It's been about 5 years since I've been here. This was mostly an impulse visit since I was getting take out next door. It was late afternoon on a Friday, I decided to get 6 donuts and bring them home for my guys....(and maybe 1 for myself). wink wink. What really did it for me was their fall menu..OMG...pumpkin coffee cake, blueberry crumble, and more!! They were super friendly and the donuts...delicious!!

What a fun find. We were driving around the area just to see things and were intrigued by the cute name. Well the decor and donuts did not disappoint! We were met with a smile and given some excellent recommendations by a very friendly worker. We got a glazed, cinnamon sugar, maple bacon, apple pie, French silk pie and chocolate covered strawberry...how do you pick a favorite?! If you're nearby it's definitely worth the stop.

Hot, fresh, customizable donuts. What could be better? You can choose from dozens of options, or you can create your own from scratch. The donuts are prepared right in front of you, and they are served piping hot. I'm always a sucker for a sweet and savory combination, so I'd recommend the Maple Bacon. My husband also enjoyed the strawberry and vanilla donuts. We will be back the next time we're in town!

Their flavor schedule changes, so follow them on Facebook. This week they had cinnamon sugar, klassic glazed, and strawberry. I got glazed and strawberry. I got a dozen last time and realized the texture changes after the first day. You can pop them in the microwave, but it'll never be the same as the fresh ones because they thicken up. So I highly recommend eating some before you even get out of the parking lot to get the best melt in your mouth experience!! The glazed is one of my favorite. It's a little crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. It sincerely melts in your mouth. They're also pretty big, and while waiting you can see them making the donuts, with the glaze dripping off. It's exciting to get to the front after waiting in line. The strawberry one was good, but not better than the original glazed. I can't wait to try the lemon one. The staff is always friendly and they keep the line moving!! You can also preorder to skip the line. If you see them, I absolutely recommend stopping to try at least 1. You won't regret it. Lol. Check them out!!!

Everything I've had here is delicious, but here are some of my favorites: UBE BLONDIES *** Probably one of their most signature items that stays on the menu season to season, this crumbly, satisfyingly dense, soft baked good with that nice punch of ube flavor will really have you coming back for more. The frosting glaze is just perfect, adding that sweetness that carries the ube flavor really nicely. The texture is just soooo satisfying, you can just tell when you cut your fork through it that it has this airy, yet dense and crumbly texture. TURON FRITTER Kind of like an apple fritter, but oh so crumbly, delicious, bright, and soft on the inside. Also had their brown sugar boba pudding cup when it came out, and it was really good; the tapioca actually blended quite nicely and was chewy and fresh, which means you're not stuck chewing it forever. Definitely on the sweeter side, but brown sugar items tend to be that way.

Needless to say the food was so good, pics proved to have zero chance. Sooo after a rough week, a Saturday late morning breakfast was calling for a much needed downtime to sit and enjoy... and well here we go: Some say happiness in a bottle, I say Happiness in a glass! Their iced praline mocha is soooo good! The right balance of mocha and coffee, not overly sweet but enough to give you a pick me up while enjoying their amazing food! Next time must try their lavender latte or pistachio... but gotta get it before 5/31 as it's available for a limited time! Definitely recommend the brekki bowl with cheese grits and fried chicken! You will not be disappointed. Cheese grits like "buhhhttah" without the oily and maybe the calories?! But honestly, so flavorful and creamy without the guilty feeling for having something that tastes so good. The veggies are fresh and perfectly cooked to give you great texture contrast. And let me tell you about their fried chicken!! Chefs kiss! Moist, flavorful lightly breaded chicken fried to perfection that had a slight kick for this girl. In full disclosure black pepper is spicy for me so take that with a grain of salt. And for those of you like me that believe there is never too much salt and add salt to your salt but need to cut that bad habit... this whole dish is the perfect amount of salt. I literally never had to add just a little more. The goat cheese crumbles gave each bite the little extra tah-dah pop that might have been otherwise gotten had you like me added a few more shakes of salt to the dish. Seriously though, if you are watching to slowly cut back on having to add salt to your food, this dish is for you! The service was great and everyone was friendly and hustling! This place is the best for a quick sit down or a group brunch. I saw a table of like 10 menly bros enjoying a huge selection of food, drinks, and catching up. Really awesome to see that as the next few tables were a mix of families with and without kids, in laws, aunts and uncles just coming together for amazing food, great and accurate service, and overall fantastic experience ina random Saturday morning!

Café Nectar is a cute quaint little shop on Virginia Beach Blvd. It is definitely tucked away so keep that in mind when making a visit. We were greeted by a really nice lovely staff. I ordered the Banana Amber. The menu didn't specifically differentiate what the drinks were as far as whether it was a latte or not so I had to kind of confirm that with the person taking my order. I initially requested to order cold foam that was on the menu, but I was told that they didn't have any cold foam so I just got the drink iced as is. I also ordered a blueberry lemon cake as well. Overall they had a solid selection of donut and cake flavors to choose from. My order was done rather quickly and I was second in line. I enjoyed the blueberry lemon cake. It was a large portion and super moist and very yummy. The latte however I was not a fan of. I ordered it iced and there was only a little bit of ice floating up at the top of the drink and there was a lot of milk in the latte. The color of the drink was very light so I was expecting this upon receiving. I was excited to try the drink as the menu stated that the syrups were homemade. It did definitely taste fresh, but the banana syrup seemed to be not sweet enough and and that is coming from someone who likes a really well balanced coffee. I think it could have been sweeter, as well as the banana flavor kind of tasted a bit under ripe/under developed. The owner did end up coming to me a few sips through my drink and asked if I still wanted the cold foam and she whipped some up for me. I tried the cold foam on its own and it just tasted like cream cheese mixed with heavy cream. It wasn't sweetened at all. It was just essentially thick cream which diluted the flavor and sweetness even more. I recommend the shop edit their menu a little bit so it can be clearer for understanding. Also moving towards having a little bit more product available as they did run out of cakes about 10 people into the grand opening. I recommend there be a sign upfront where you turn in pointing to the direction of the café so people are aware that it is there in the cut if that's an option. I know different areas have certain restrictions. Overall, I wish this café the best and I'm sure they'll be able to work some of the kinks out overtime. I think this spot is really cute for a nice stop in for a pick me up and the staff and owner were really nice.

There is a direct indoor passage from La Taqueria Hacienda to MRTL, my youngest and I went to take a peek while we waited for our takeout order. It's a small store but lots of great stuff packed into it. At the front, there are some freezers and fridges with frozen treats (paletas, mangonadas etc) and other prepared goods from local businesses like flan and tres leches from Jessy's. The first front aisle is dedicated to a showcase of Mexican baked goods also brought in from local bakeries. The next few aisles are filled with grocery store items. I love seeing the products that familiar brands release in other markets. Will have to go back for the Palmolive fruity bar soap. It smelled so good ! All the way back, is the butcher with all sorts of meats, both plain and marinated. After we did a once over to see what the store offers, I couldn't help myself with the baked goods. I see/hear about baked goods and it's a trigger word (a good trigger). My eyes start to glaze over and I start making my way over LOL. I stopped a staff member and I asked her about all the goods. I wish she could truly understand the level of my enthusiasm and curiosity and I think she did the best she could to describe all the items, but I made do with what she shared and I just went with what looked good. She said that the case under the La Sabrosita had been delivered that day, so she didn't need to tell me twice. We got 4 things (these are not the proper names as I have no idea, just descriptions): - sugar donut with custard - classic sugar yeasty donut with custard, except, they don't poke a hole and fill it, they slice it in half and slather the custard. I loved this one. - puff pastry with cream inside and then a thin layer of icing type coating on top, and then rolled back in the puff pastry crumbs? These type of pastries tend to be on the dry side. It was pretty straight forward and it was pretty big. - cake/bread with sesame seeds - this reminds me of a homemade pound cake (not store bought) or madeleine type texture, not cake and not bread, in the middle. The size is pretty large (picture those jumbo muffins at Costco that you have to buy two packs) and it's topped with sesame seeds. Great morning item. I loved this one too. - Cinnamon cake - there was a thin layer of a cinnamon mixture at the bottom, majority of the cake/bread and then the top had a crack-ly crust, piped with what looked like a cinnamon stick, but it's actually another edible cake thing. On the drier side, but more meant to be another morning item with coffee or tea. My youngest loved this one with her milk. The items were not small either. The best part of all this, was when I went to pay, I was floored at the final total. I thought she had made a mistake. It was SOOOOO cheap! It was $8 and some change. The girl chuckled at my disbelief and she said the price had gone up. Well, don't mind if I do. I'll definitely be back and check out their meats back there too. Enjoy friends and Happy Latinx Heritage Month!
