Onion bagel with scallion cream cheese schmear

I stopped by the Baker's Crust Bagels to see what they had to offer. They just recently opened. They're right next door to the Bakers Crust Artisan restaurant. They serve bagels, sandwiches, desserts, and more!!! When I walked in, the friendly staff greeted me. All the young ladies I met were really nice! Customer service is good!! I chose the onion bagel with scallion cream cheese. The bagel was pretty good, although I wish it was toasted a little longer. There was a good amount of cream cheese on it, and it was tasty. I'd get it again. I definitely want to try the Oreo cream cheese next time. They have cream cheese you can purchase to take home also. The restaurant was clean with tables on one side. It's not a huge restaurant, but it's big enough. They had cups set out for free water which was nice. It's a Einstein bagel, Panera type of vibe, just smaller. I'll be back to try more!! Check them out!!

I'm already in love with this Bagel shop! I visited during the grand opening & was thankful to have met the owner John. He's super kind and really has a heart for the community. The entire staff was kind and courteous despite the large crowds! They handle everything perfectly and the food was perfectly fresh! I can't wait to try their catering!

This is a nice bagel place. There is room to eat inside and outside with a ton of options. There are sandwiches salads and regular bagels. The veggie cream cheese was very good and flavorful. The jalapeño cream cheese tastes great but very minimal spice. Service was pretty solid as there were a ton of people in there. Definitely worth the stop.

I remember when this place initially opened. Being EXTREMELY skeptical, with places adding "NYC" in…read moretheir name as a BS way to get you in. Having "NY Bagel" is literally, sacrilegious to those of us that know WHAT a true "NY Bagel" is. Their name hold true to form, what a NY Bagel is. I initially wanted Bagels & Lox, but changed my mind when I saw what I was also craving... PASTRAMI. I got "The DON," pastrami piled high (NOT "Katz" high, but a Chesapeake high, with Cold Slaw and a pickle. When I tell you delicious!! The WATER's PH balance is the same as NY, making the bagel, an authentic "NY Bagel." The Cold Slaw... my god today... I haven't had slaw like this since I left NYC!! Ambiance, basic, not very reminiscent of NYC, BUT, every menu item is named after an area in NY. So pleased. I'll be back!!!

A Longtime Favorite That Has Started to Slip I love this…read moreplace and have recommended it often, but the quality of one specific sandwich has noticeably declined over the past few months. What Made It Memorable Photo 1 shows the Reuben sandwich from October 10, 2024, and it was unforgettable--the kind of sandwich I could not stop thinking about. Since then, my family and I have returned at least once a month. When family visited from out of town, this was one of the first places we wanted to take them. What Has Changed Fast forward to 2026, and the quality over the past few months has gotten worse with each visit. The sandwich no longer feels like the same thoughtful, well-made item that made us keep coming back. * The bread seems different. * The ingredients feel sparse. * Today's sandwich was burnt. * The dressing was missing. Overall, the quality control just does not feel consistent anymore. I truly enjoyed this place, but I cannot justify paying $17 for a sandwich that is so clearly not what it used to be. A Hopeful Note The employees are kind and friendly, and the service is usually quick even when the restaurant is busy. The food used to be amazing, and I am genuinely hoping this is just a bump in the road and that the team can make a few adjustments to bring the quality back to what it was.

I ordered the Williamsburg Bagel, which consisted of lox, plain cream cheese, tomato, capers, and red onion. I originally wanted it on an Everything bagel, but since they were out, I went with a Garlic bagel instead. Even though it was a tad bit crowded, my sandwich was ready in about 5 mins. I've had the Williamsburg Bagel before so I was excited to enjoy it again but I wasn't a big fan of the thick-cut red onions they added on there, and I actually love onions! Unfortunately, I ended up taking most of them off. I also wish it had more cream cheese, the thin layer on the bottom just wasn't enough for me. That said, the bagel itself was fresh and overall, the sandwich tasted good. At almost $20, it did feel a little pricey for a bagel sandwich, but I enjoyed it. I'd definitely come back to try other options. The interior is full of Brooklyn pictures, which I love! Definitely check them out if you're in the area!

My husband and a friend came here on a Thursday morning to order 6 items and they were gone for almost an hour (it was a 10 minute drive from where we stayed). They come back with a bag of "bagels" (if that's what you want to call them) drenched in ketchup. Our orders were extremely simple: BEC w/PK on a plain bagel Egg and cheese on a croissant BEC w/PK on an asiago bagel Taylored Ham, egg & cheese on a bagel Toasted everything bagel with lox & cream cheese Here is everything that went wrong: 1. The bagel store didn't offer BACON, so we ended up substituting for sausage. The sausage patty was probably the size of my kid's palm- that's how small it was. The eggs were overcooked and had no taste, but don't worry, they'll make sure to smother the entire bagel with ketchup to make up for it. 2. TOASTED bagel with lox & cream cheese- bagel was not toasted, and there wasn't any lox available. 3. Egg & cheese on a croissant- the place didn't have any croissants... so had to substitute this for a roll 4. It was the chef's second day in the kitchen. Bagels alone wasn't great quality..it was edible enough, but extremely chewy and stiff, especially after taking so long to prepare the orders and with two people working in a place that is seemingly popular with the Yelp Community, the amount of time it took this order to be ready was a little ridiculous. I ordered the same thing back home the following day and it took less time to make here in NJ than it did here on a non-busy day with just my husband and friend as their sole customer at the time.

It's the perfect combination of sweet, tangy, and open gooey deliciousness! Today, Baker's Crust catered breakfast at my office, and I was excited to see a table overflowing with bagels and cream cheeses. It was like Christmas morning for carb lovers! Unfortunately, none of the bagels or cream cheeses were labeled. My excitement quickly turned into confusion when I took a big bite of what I was sure was my beloved strawberry cream cheese... only to discover it was definitely not strawberry. And let's just say an onion bagel paired with the wrong cream cheese is a combination I wouldn't recommend. The food itself was great, but a little labeling would go a long way. A simple sticker or note on the bottom of each cream cheese container and small tent cards identifying the bagel flavors would save future customers from accidental flavor roulette. Still a fan, but next time I'd like to know whether I'm biting into strawberry bliss or an unexpected onion surprise! For a side note it's so easy to order online for a quick stop on the way to work. Perfect every time!!!

I don't want to have to think nor be confused. I want SERVICE and facing screens on a wall (two of which didn't work properly btw) is not providing service to customers especially with a group of young men on the other side of the glass wall any one of whom could have taken our orders. Sticker shock slammed me when I saw the price of a 12 ounce black coffee... it was almost the same cost as my bagel with cream cheese. Speaking of my premium highly priced black coffee ... it tastes as if there was sweetener of some sort added in ... oh well. When picking up my order to eat in ... I repeated that I was eating in ... the young man said "let me put it in a bag for you. ' I am eating in ... don't need a bag for my bagel ... take a dime off my coffee price and save the bag. The raison d'etre for this visit ... a bagel with veggie cream cheese... well it was a very good bagel with crunch and a decent schmear of veggie cream cheese. The bagel shop itself has a huge empty except for me dining area with lots of room to work if you choose to do so but I'd pick a place with reasonably priced coffee that includes refills if I was working. Sugar in my coffee uh no ... having to order off a tablet on the wall ... no ... a good reasonably priced bagel yes... maybe call in an order for bagels and get your coffee elsewhere or better yet find a nice diner with a waitress who comes to your table. And, this starts my VA BEACH Friday ... blah ... I really don't like sweetness in my coffee and hate over paying for coffee too. Oh I am taking that bag with ... a small white paper bag just might come in handy and after all he insisted that my eat in bagel needed to be that very special bag.
