What a wonderful bagel shop! I finally made it here and really enjoyed my brunch. I had the Hot Honey Bagel Sandwich with a Chocolate Cream Iced Coffee and both were delicous. I'd prefer more spice but that's a personal preference. Food was made to order so it came out hot and fresh. My iced coffee had a nice, chocolaty, refreshing taste. Yummy! The staff were awesome. Very welcoming, friendly, engaging, and very patient and helpful while I was deciding what to order. It was my first time here but won't be my last. We went out of our way to grab some bagels before our road trip and I'm so glad we did! I love a bagel and they do them well. The customer service is very good, too. It's a bit small inside so it gets crowded quickly but the food comes out fast enough for it not to feel overwhelming. Extremely disappointed. The staff neither had good nor bad points. They provided the service necessary but seemed a little lost when questions were asked. I was a bit surprised seeing the size of a small smoothie. I think I may be used to other fast food chain restaurants having their small be a lot bigger for the same price, but the small here is kid size and something you can gulp down in 4 sips... What really made me mad though was the fact that they forgot to put egg in an egg sandwich I ordered... my order wasn't hard. It was a drink and an egg sandwich. An item they make plenty of times. So I'm a bit confused how this got missed. So I'm a big fan of the everything bagel. I ordered that with some general core stuff and seriously, it's worth a good shake down. If you're from the North East, you'd be hard-pressed to put these on the same platform but not everybody gets to be blessed with water from the Catskill Mountains (it's a thing). First time trying this place and I have to say, the server was extremely nice but the place was too darn dirty for me. I ordered the Texas brisket because the advertising showed slices of brisket on the sandwich, I got chopped brisket that was a small small portion stuck to the top of the bagel with egg and cheese. Completely flat, not mouthwatering bagel.... especially for the price. We way with eyes until we get a surprise of our life. The Bagels were hot and delicious. I got the Texas brisket and my wife got the bacon and cheddar classic. She wanted the Maple house but wanted to ease in for the first visit. There were so many delicious looking choices. The service was on point and Nia gave great recommendations. She was very nice and helpful. Eugene even gave us some options to consider for next time based on our preferred taste. I originally went on opening day, which was a little chaotic & of course busy, but the bagel was delicious. Today I definitely can't say the same. The employees were honestly rude & not friendly at all. Both my bagel and my husbands weren't good. They were cold, which is weird because the eggs are cooked to order, so I thought. The cheese wasn't melted at all and the bacon definitely was not cooked. Now it probably comes "pre cooked" but it was flimsy and cold. As a pregnant woman, this is so dangerous for me to eat. Even for non pregnant people, this isn't safe. Even if it comes "precooked". You'd think they had some extensive training prior to opening. Even with how busy it was this morning (Saturday) it only took 15 minutes! We got coffee, cold brew, two bagel sandwiches, and a plain bagel with butter and inhaled our food! The plain bagel is small kid approved! The Garden Avocado on a Cheesy Hashbrown bagel was great with just the right amount of crunch! It was a great portion for the price! The Bacon and Cheddar Egg sandwich (also on Cheesy Hashbrown bagel) was good. The bacon was super crispy which was a little bit of a downfall, but definitely get the two egg option! There is plenty of parking in the lot in front of the building! My daughter brought me home a cinnamon roll from this shop. I must say I was pleasantly surprised. I usually only eat Panera's cinnamon rolls so this was a surprise but it was really good! It wasn't extremely sweet although the cream cheese was sweeter than I'm used to . It had a good balance of cinnamon and it was crisp on the outside and chewy on the inside . This was my first experience with Einstein Bros Bagels and my family was so excited to see that there was a bagel shop in northern Suffolk. We tried the shop twice and placed our orders to go both times - there was no issue with the inside, but we chose to take and go. I will say that the staff did welcome us both times but the food just wasn't good. Our first order was three breakfast sandwiches which had no flavor and the bagels were super thin as if they were low carb. I'm fine with a thin bagel, but we couldn't even finish them because of the absent taste. We did try again, knowing that the bagels weren't the typical full bagel but again the flavor wasn't good. To make it worse we didn't receive the correct order although the receipt on the bag was correct. I could have gone back and would have but it just wasn't worth it since we didn't like them. I know that most businesses have issues at first and are challenged getting the staff working together and building the loyal customers following so I may try again. I'm not sure I'll go out of my way to try these again, but if I do, I will update this post if there is significant improvement. I'm very disappointed and hope that they can turn this around quickly. read more
