Their French toast is delicious! I'm not even a "French toast" girl, but this totally made me one! They give you a healthy portion! They also have flavored coffee creamers!

Pancakes w/ grits, bacon and eggs. Deep fried French toast w/ has browns and turkey sausage.

Food was great and abundant. The grits were on point. Did not need to add anything extra for flavor. Will be returning soon.

if your looking for a nice, clean, family style type of brunch/breakfast this is the spot! let me start with our amazing server Saniyah, she was extremely sweet and recommended us the french toast and byo (build your own sandwich). I ended up getting the french toast, grits, potatoes, and bacon with an arnold palmer. Everything was delicious, the french toast had a light crunch which added to overall flavor. This is a wonderful establishment and i highly recommend going with friends and family!!

The restaurant space is inviting, spacious, clean and comfortably minimal. Our server was patient, attentive and very welcoming. Service was slow and she acknowledged there were only two servers this morning. We ordered several items including : Fresh Fried green tomatoes with a bright basaltic glaze and a sauce that tasted more like a tartar sauce. Pecan pancakes were light and fluffy, Hash browns were seasoned, crispy home fried potato squares. Fried shrimp and grits "pearls" were deep fried "balls" appetizer. - not quite what we expected. Wanted more of a traditional dish but tasted okay. Eggs, bacon and sausage were average. Spirit of the fruit drink was $5 a glass w no refills fell short. More like fruit flavored water. Over all the food did not thrill us but was not horrible- just expected great food from the other Yelp photos. Some portion sizes seemed average but my egg and grits meal called " the basic breakfast" was basic with a small ramekin of grits and a little bit of eggs was not much in size or flavor.

Fairly new restaurant very close to home! It's clean and has a beach theme, with a diner feel. Tables are nicely spaced apart so you don't feel like you're sitting on top of each other. I went on a Saturday morning and walked right in and sat down. Absolutely no wait It's in a shopping center so the parking is great! We received great service. The wait staff asked if we had been there before and because we hadn't, explained the menu. You definitely have to read the descriptions because the names of the dishes do not say what they are. We had The Mast which can be done different ways. I had the bowl with potatoes and mother in law had as omelet with grits. We both ate everything! Only thing is that it could have been seasoned. I also had a pancake and it was DELICIOUS! I ordered one pancake and it was the size of the plate...big! They also have alcoholic beverages there. I saw Bloody Mary's and mimosas on the drink menu for breakfast. They also have lunch/dinner food and drinks. I will definitely return. I'm certain I'll get a pancake but excited to try something else also.

Diner atmosphere. Called ahead 2 hours for a party of 10, they were very accommodating and we got seated immediately. Service was good, food was amazing. We had the blt, omelettes, biscuits and gravy and country fried steak-all were amazing! I had the cinch to drink and it was great! Would definitely go back!

We we're promptly greeted upon entering the restaurant and seated. The wait staff were friendly and attentive. Food came out in a decent amount of time and was fresh and hot. Prices are very affordable and the decor is also eye catching.

    Fried Green Tomatoes! Soooo good!

Service and the food were great! We decided to try a new spot on our list and this place definitely was a hit! Service was fast and our waitress was really nice. My 1st time having Fried Green Tomatoes and they were so good!!! The pancakes were humongous and so fluffy! I really loved the decor and meaning behind the restaurant.

First of all can I just say WOW!…read more We were excited at the first because we thought the Neat Bird from Chesapeake had a new location in Norfolk Colley Avenue but there chicken sandwich was even delicious here too with a different owner! We met the owner, he is a cool band guy with a mustache name Dand. The drinks he made for us were so good and so was the way he talked with his staff and the way they worked together. My parner and I had seen that they pride themselfes on Scottish eggs, which we were lucky to try and it was also very delicious! We like that they have the vibe and also a board with many events of the community on the wall to check out while you sip on a delicious expresso martini. Good job to the Bird! now dont go opening another restaurant in Chesapeake or we will all be very confused!

You order at the register, and the staff brings the food out to your table. Everyone was attentive, and we had no issues with the service. We ordered the waffle plate, which came topped with fruit alongside eggs and their house sausage. We also tried the Huevos Rancheros, the Sausage Egg & Cheese sandwich, and a build-your-own omelette. For drinks, we ordered the brown sugar cold brew, dulce de leche cold brew, drip coffee, and an espresso martini. The waffle was huge, and the sides were great. My only complaint was that it could have used more fruit, as there were only a few small pieces. The Huevos Rancheros were delicious and came with a generous serving of avocado. The only thing that caught us off guard was the lack of salsa, since in traditional Huevos Rancheros the salsa is a key component. Even so, the dish was still flavorful and filling. The omelette was excellent, and the breakfast sandwich was equally delicious. I was especially impressed by the house-made jam, house-made hot sauce, and the perfectly seasoned home fries. As for the drinks, the brown sugar cold brew was excellent, but the dulce de leche version was far too sweet for my taste. From what I understood, they use two flavored syrups to make it, and I think using smaller portions of each would create a better balance. We ended up adding oat milk and some drip coffee to tone it down. The drip coffee itself was solid and came with free refills. The espresso martini really tied brunch together for me -- strong, well-made, and delicious. Overall, we really enjoyed both the food and the experience, and we'll definitely be back.

It has a very clean minimal decor vibe but is still very welcoming and comfortable. There are large tables, sofas, a nice bar and arm chairs to gather in and the music is loud enough to mute conversations but not so loud as to disturb the vibe. The menu is simple. Coffees, teas seasonal drinks, sandwiches and pastries. My husband and I were taking a quick break from. Hopping and decided on drinks and a pastry. We ordered the grinch matcha latte, a gingerbread latte and a spinach feta pastry. Omg both of us loved the grinch. I've been searching for a matcha I could enjoy and this is it! All the right notes: not too sweet, creamy and the matcha well blended in the milk-think no grainy residue at the end. If I'm in the matcha mood I'm coming to get this. The grinch was so good I think it made the gingerbread latte less exciting but it was still delicious! The expresso was strong so for a non Coffee drinker like me it wasn't my favorite but my husband thought it was great. The pastry came out hot and was delicious. Everything came out fairly fast so even with the crowd we were there less than 30 minutes. I want to come back and try more drinks and a salad that seems up my alley. Please check out this locals establishment. You won't be disappointed!!

First the location: it's in a strip mall, which it shares with Kroger, a thrift store, and one of the last Roses stores around. The inside was very nice and had a real country atmosphere. Everything appeared well-kept and clean. As we entered we were quickly greeted and taken to our table. Within a few moments, we had our two sweet teas, and our order was taken. Let's say wow - our order was delivered to our table in maybe 7-8 minutes. I was in total shock. The meals. The wifey has the Monte Cristo French Toast meal. I could tell she liked it a lot. As I look at her taking her first full bite and her eyes are blasting open. She said it was absolutely outstanding. As for me, I had Biscuits & Gravy with potatoes and bacon. I will also tell you I was very happy with the taste and the portion. As for service: We had a young lady named Stephanie. I bet she checked on us 6-7 times during our stay and we were not her only table. She was just that attentive. Total for two of us - $33 which include includes a hefty state and local tax. 12.25% - Virginia and localities have gotten out of control. Love it here!…read more Yesterday my husband and I dined at this restaurant for the prime rib special. Today Monday the day after is National prime rib day so the restaurant decided to feature a special on prime rib for Sunday dinner. My husband made reservations online for 5:00 p.m. we arrived on time with no wait and because the restaurant was fairly empty we decided to dine at the bar instead of a table in the actual dining room. Our bartender/waitress, Lizzie, she was on point held the whole bar area down punctual assertive and had everything under control. I ordered a margarita I did ask her is it a fresh Margarita and she said yes and my husband ordered his normal crown with a splash of Sprite. My margarita in my opinion it didn't taste as fresh as I would like it to be and then I don't care to have a margarita in a tall glass that just screams mix not fresh to me. Nevertheless I just know not to order that again going forward but my husband's cocktail... Crown Royal with Sprite he enjoyed it! I wasn't super hungry so I decided to order a salad and add a piece of blackened salmon to it it was very good finished it all up... ordered it my way. My husband ordered the prime rib I believe medium his was a little bit more than medium but nevertheless he said it was good and he ate every last Fork full. We decided to make room for dessert so we share the creme bruelle which was pretty good ...not the best ever tho. Our dining experience took about 90 minutes we were able again to sit at the bar and catch some of the NBA Playoffs that were featured on TV. Overall the dining experience was a 10 out of a 10 five stars as usual of course a few bumps, but nothing to take away from this experience. The Ambiance is always lovely very inviting love the low lighting that it gives as well as the natural light that comes through the windows. The service always on point! And downtown Suffolk is just beautiful and quaint, it feels friendly and idyllic. *Ambience: Extremely comfortable, super approachable, but also refined with lots of wood and brick, but open and airy, and lots of light. You walk in to a cocktail and bar area, with an incredible painted sign on the brick wall behind the bar, that is a total throwback. The bar is incredibly comfortable and open and warm feeling. There are hardwood tables and beautiful booths along with a private dining area in the back. Really couldn't ask for or want for a more comfortable environment. *Service: absolutely stellar, super friendly staff, our server could not have been nicer or more genuine, or had more of an "ownership attitude" as if the restaurant meant everything to her, and so did us being there. She knew everything on the menu, had great recommendations, and insured we were consistently taken care of. She truly missed nothing. Harper, the owner, came over to check on us and ensure we were enjoying ourselves. He couldn't have been nicer or kinder or more humble. Service was outstanding. *Food & Drinks: The food! The drinks! Oh man! I've been a "Yelp Elite Member" for almost 10 years and the food here at hT is near the top of all my reviews, hundreds of them. The highest quality ingredients, impeccably curated, ingeniously but simply paired, created with a true love for the art of cooking and the true joy of the consumer. This was obvious. We started with a Mainstream Manhattan and Old Fashioned from the bar. No ordinary bartender, she's a true mixologist/professional. Both drinks were excellent, no "simple syrup" used here, raw sugar cubes melted into the finest spirits, yummm! We order brussels sprouts from the appetizer menu everywhere we go and compare them. None have ever come close to our favorite, for a dozen years, until now. These were crispy on the outside, but juicy inside, flash fried to an al dente bite and finished (almost injected) with a cherry vinegar glaze that permeated every bite with sweet, tart perfection. We also started with the vibrant Camden County May Pea & Truffle Toast which was like a celebration of spring with a fresh, grilled baguette topped with fancy Italian truffle cheese (insane!), sweet tender may peas, and fresh pea shoots, all drizzled with olive oil for a fresh, earthy, and simple bite that captured the essence of this farm-to-table cuisine. For entrees we ordered the Ben Johnson's Soft Shell Crabs with remoulade and the Brown Sugar Brined Porkchop with pimp cheese, grits, and chard tomatoes with a side of hand cut fries with roast shallot mayo. Everything was stellar, no exceptions. I can honestly say this was **the best pork chop I've ever eaten, ever.** Tender, sweet, meaty and paired perfectly with the creamy cheese grits and the tang and smoke of the charred tomatoes. Ridiculously good! See my photos, too bad they don't come with "taste-o-vision", because, wow! The hand cut, skin on, double fried potatoes and roast shallot mayo were fantastic. As if that wasn't enough food, they also brought us stone ground cornbread, with a massive slab of rough salted butter, steamy, warm, soft, buttery perfection. I'm ready to go back now! *Value & Overall: I posted pictures of all menus and all prices. Their spirits and mixed drink selections from the bar are incredible. The food, service and ambience simply couldn't have been better. Prices, as you'll see, are exactly in line for what you get and an excellent value. Portions on everything were excellent and we ended up taking home quite a bit of food, which was also stellar the next day. I absolutely cannot recommend Harper's Table highly enough. This establishment, all parts of it, truly earn a five star review across the board with no exceptions. Have no hesitation, make a reservation, go, it will become an instant favorite.

When I walked in, the vibe was relaxing with the good music playing--just three tables and one person at the bar--but that didn't last long. Within ten minutes, five more parties dropped in, and the place went from zero to sixty real quick. The Service: A One-Woman Show I have to give a massive shout-out to Casey. For the first hour, she was "The House." She was greeting everyone, tending bar, taking every order, and running food. Even as the crowd swelled, she stayed on top of it. She got my drinks out fast, and while there was a wait for the food, it was totally reasonable considering she was flying solo until backup arrived an hour and a half later. The Food: Seafood & Southern Staples The kitchen is run by a single cook who clearly knows their way around a fryer. Even with a mountain of large DoorDash orders stacking up, my meal arrived hot and fresh about 20 minutes after ordering. The Main Event: Egg, Catfish, Shrimp & Grits with Texas Toast The Seafood: The catfish and shrimp were fried to perfection. Those shrimp are truly colossal and packed with flavor. My only minor gripe was that both were a bit on the greasy side, but the taste was spot on. The Sides: The soft scrambled eggs with cheese were a little too soft for my personal preference, but still tasty. The grits were standard, and the Texas toast was exactly what it should be: perfectly toasted and buttery. The Drink: I ordered the 50/50 tea. It came in a 12-oz plastic mason jar and hit the sweet spot--refreshing without being overly sweet. The Bottom Line Be prepared for the "fine print" on the bill. There is a 16% automatic gratuity and a credit card service fee. My total came to $41.33. Tea: 2.99,2 egg & Catfish:16.99, add cheese:.99 and side of fried shrimp: 9.99, service fee: 1.24, 16% gratuity: 4.95, and tax: 4.18 Honestly, even with the auto-gratuity, I had to slide Casey some extra cash. Watching her manage a sudden rush while keeping the wheels from falling off was impressive. If you go, expect a bit of a wait if it's busy, but know that the staff is working their tails off to get you a solid, hot meal.
