I truly need to come back again. The service was excellent but I can't say that I enjoy the Cesar Chicken salad I had because I did not. The dressing was rather watery and didn't really have good flavor. Thankfully the chicken had a little flavor on it so I was able to stomach as much as I could. I said maybe because I was there for a going away event for a LT. I saw someone eating a rather tasty looking pizza, so next time I come back I plan to order the pizza because they sat across from me and he appeared to rather enjoy his pizza and that sealed my return visit for me if nothing else. I visited this restaurant for the first time. The cauliflower crust pizza is delicious!! I tried the pesto chicken with a hot honey and balsamic vinegar drizzle...yummy!! I also split a Caesar salad. My friends had the beignets. They looked amazing. That service was good though it took a minute to get the pizzas. My friends had the pepperoni, and they enjoyed it. The staff told us they have different themed nights. They have a bar area and several tables. There's also a huge event space with lounge seating. This is a very cool spot! I got their pesto chicken pizza to try, and while it sounded right up my alley, it was just ok. Tomatoes were fresh, pesto had good flavor, and the crust was nice. I just think the feta was bland, chicken was overcooked and bland (I'm really picky about chicken), and it needed more balsamic, or a more vinegary type of balsamic. The pizza altogether was average and it could've been cooked a little longer to make it a tad more crisp and add more color. I really liked the bounciness and airiness of the bread, it was like a focaccia. Ambiance wise, it felt a bit sterile. I was there when it was just opening for the day, so it also was bare on customers. I'm sure it could be better on a Friday night, but today was just average. My husband and I came here for a date night a few weeks ago. Upon walking in, the employees were not super welcoming and it was a little loud. We weren't really sure what to do but soon found out that we just needed to order at the counter and they give you a number to take to your table. I asked for a cider recommendation but the cashier did not seem like he wanted to talk too much. I ended up ordering the plum honey buzz and as a non beer drinker it wasn't too bad. We mostly came for the pizza, which I definitely recommend. We just got a pepperoni pizza and the pretzel bites with beer cheese. Both were very good. First off. It looks like there are a lot of haters. I can only speak for the beer, but the beer is really good. Actually better than really good. The Helles tasted like exactly like the Helles should. In fact, the 6 beers we got were exactly what we ordered..very well made beers to style! I also saw comments about staff. The Bridge Road area of Suffolk needed a craft brewery and Sojourn Fermentory does it right. They have a wide variety of their own craft brews and ciders as well as about a half dozen guest taps. They serve their brews in a glass which they select to suit the beer and the serving sizes vary. The food menu is not extensive but they offer enough variety with pizza, sandwiches, and salad to satisfy most tastes. We really enjoyed the pizzas on our first visit. Today, they were left in the oven a few minutes too long and the crusts were over cooked to nearly burnt. It's a clean, open, refreshing atmosphere and the staff are very willing to assist. read more

The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. They had a scheduled Christmas party and were due to close at 7pm. They allowed our circus of 4 to come in & order around 630pm, and eat at our leisure. I promise we ate as quickly as we could as not to intrude on their celebration though they assured us it was okay - so nice! Although, I bet they're a fun bunch to party with! Our youngest gave his chicken nuggets and fries a thumbs up. Our oldest was happy that they made him his pizza of choice, bread & cheese. My husband and I shared "The Sojourner," which hit the spot. Decided to try this place again after giving it a couple months. No change in service level with only 1 way to order drinks or food while other people stand around. The beers are very average at best but the most annoying is they don't serve average sizes and they are priced as full size beers. I am used to a high ABV beer coming in at 10oz. The picture below is an actual $10 beer that comes as a 6 oz pour! I chuckled when she served it to me and asked "where is the rest?" Definitely feels like a rip off. Update: in answer to the owner response: The picture was from Nov 4th 2024. The response was not accurate. This was a 6oz pour as explained by the associate. I was served a $9 IPA that was a 10oz pour. My review is accurate and the buyer should be aware of this practice for average beer. read more

5/5 August 2024. We stopped here on the way to the Outer Banks. We had heard about this place from a podcast as a project involving one of the owners of a really cool beer bar in Fairfax. They had only opened a week or two before our trip but we had to take the opportunity to stop by. We had a late lunch on our trip, it really is pretty convenient if you're heading from the DC area to the beaches. It was well worth the stop. They have a lunch special that was a great deal. The service was good, especially for a new place. The pizza was good and fairly filling for a personal size. They are going for a more upscale feel and that comes through. This was Friday 11/25/24 and the area was having their Octoberfest celebration. You'd think the staff would have been better prepared but they seemed lost and uninterested in customer discourse. Getting food to the respective places seemed to be a challenge with their system. The owner also did not seem concerned as he only spoke to one table that I believe were friends of his. Also, the beer list doesn't tell you the ingredients to its seasonals which was strange cuz I ordered not knowing partially what I was getting or if I'd like it, which I did; I got the hefeweizen. It taste the spice but I can't be more descriptive like was it pumpkin spice or what?? The place has potential and should be a happening spot for the sports and family crowd. Great place for groups! Lively atmosphere with lots of indoor seating, a good selection of beer, and solid pizza. This place was pretty packed on a Saturday night, with a long line to order and most tables filled up. However, despite how hectic it was, the staff was super friendly and provided good recommendations. You place your order at the counter and take a number to a table of your choice. We had a very large group of 20+ people, but were able to push a few tables/benches together. I really enjoyed the cider that I ordered, but the food took a veryyyy long time to come out. For context, this was the weekend before St. Patrick's day and it was a really busy night, so they must have been backed up in the kitchen. However, they rolled out the pizzas one by one, and luckily we weren't in a rush so we did not have a problem with waiting. We ended up taking a lot of the food home because by the time it came out we were ready to leave. Luckily the pizzas are filling so we walked away full and satisfied regardless. The pizza was freshly made and came out hot. Super cheesy and the dough was the perfect texture. The BBQ chicken was my favorite, but the tomato sauce on the Pepperoni was a little sweet for my liking. Overall, I thought the pizzas were well made, and I can understand the hype with the crust. Despite the long wait for food, we enjoyed our time here. I would definitely give it another chance on a less busy night, and can appreciate that the staff remained friendly and composed despite the craziness. The service is so horrible, no one answers the phone and when I go inside there may a may not be someone up front to help you out. I ended up here for dinner when my daughter went to the library for a teen lock-in. It's very confusing when you walk in, like not quite sure where to sit or order. My friend and I sat ourselves, I asked the young man at the kitchen window where we order and he pointed me to the bar area. I wanted to like the pizza, the crust was a bit thick and tough to bite. The overall flavor of the pizza was good, I had the pesto chicken and added a drizzle of the hot honey. Everyone had fries at their table it seemed so I ordered some for us to share, they were good. Charging for a tiny side of ranch seemed a little ridiculous but at least it was good. The young men who were food runners were the most helpful and nice. If I had young kids, I would have appreciated the little play area near our table. Mediocre beer and terrible pizza. I might come back for a beer but definitely not be getting pizza again. The pizza was "Roman" which is interesting since I've been to Rome more than once and never seen pizza like this. In reality it is a dense, flavorless, chewy, dough with little flavor. Then after you choose same rather terrible pizza choices (IE honey should not be on pizza) they are covered in not nearly enough toppings. They then cook it too hot for the thickness of dough so it remains undercooked inside but almost burnt on the bottom. The beer issue was mostly that many tasted very similar. Over all I'm sad that this new business added little to the area since I live near by and it is clearly growing. It is unfortunate you would be better off ordering papa John's and you stopping at the store for better cheaper beer. I great brewery and pizza place would have been great. Went Saturday (7/12) evening around 6 and the place was packed. The band was starting up and really loud. So, the seating in there was out of the question for the four of us. We passed by 3 tables that had reserved for someone at 4:30. Found a table in the children section that was not ideal, but only table available. When we placed our order, I asked about the reservation tables and was told she'd have to check with the manager. Which she promptly did after pouring my beer. Good thing I checked, they promptly removed the three reservations and it provided us a table. Along with two other families that were looking. So we sit down to wait for our food. The beer service and selection was great, my wife enjoyed her wine, the other couple enjoyed their drinks and got their food fairly promptly. The other tables got their food and my wife and I still hadn't. The waiter came and picked up the numbers from the table and I told her we still hadn't gotten ours. Upon checking, they discovered it was not submitted. She apologized profusely several times. The manager apologized and removed the cost of the two pizzas, gave us complimentary Parmesan fries (excellent btw) and a gift card to come back. We will be back. The food is good and fresh, the staff were really helpful and nice and accommodating. Especially after they realized they messed up. You don't find that much anymore. Like I said, we will go again. The beer Illuminate Helles was amazing, the pizza was probably the best in Suffolk, the Parmesean Fries great and we finished with the Beignets also amazing.
