I finally came to Brick House Diner for the first time I walked it was spacious and clean. There was booths and bars to sit at I got walked to a booth which is usually what I like. My server was nice and friendly and came to check on me a few times. i ordered orignal eggs benedict and dr pibb. The glass jars for drinks is very cute. I would have love a bigger glass jar it would have been better. I only had one glass I didn't need a refill though. I thought it was all day breakfast and lunch and dinner but it was for breakfast when I came in only. I came around 10 something am so it was to be expected. The food came out quite fast after ordering. We woke up on a Saturday morning and decided to do breakfast instead of our usual coffee date. We kept driving by Brick House Diner and have never stopped so we figured today was the day! When we arrived it was busy but not full. The staff was polite and we were seated quickly. We ordered some coffee and took a look at the menu. At first glance, my daughter was stated the menu reminded her of waffle house at school. Gotta love college kids! I ordered a bacon and cheese omelet but omited the sides because I wasn't sure if they were gluten free. My husband also ordered an omelet, his was the meat lovers. He had toast and potatoes as his side. My daughter enjoyed a Eggs Benedict. The food came out pretty quick which was nice because it started to get quite busy. Great little spot to grab lunch. The windows are wide and give off great lighting with views of the parking lot and shopping mall. The inside has plenty of seating and just has a clean look to it. I was able to seat wherever I wanted and the waiter greeted me as soon as I sat down with a menu in hand. My drink order was taken and I was told about the special and even offered a few personal recommendations. I placed my order and my food came in about 10 minutes. A nice find. Sitting on dry land amongst all the other popular restaurants in Virginia Beach is The Brick House Diner. A cozy place that is clean and being continously cleaned restaurant.they are open from 7 am to 9 pm. The breakfast menu is nice. I chose a mushroom a nd cheese omelet with potatoes and rye toast. I also had a cup of coffee and water. All of it was pretty good, but after looking at the menu board, I saw fresh Orange Juice! So, what the heck, I had a glass. The misses and I eat here a lot. 1. Lots of seating, even when they look full they seem to have room. Been there at 90% capacity several times. 2. Breakfast - Oh my, eggs benedict - deelish. I really like the skillets too. 3. Its not hard to find a larger or smaller meal size for your appetite. 4. Burgers - had at least six different configuraitons, all good. 5. Bang Bang shrimp - was not at all what I expected. Some sort of red sauce, vinager-y, I imagine that many people like it, not at all what i expected and won't get it again. 6. The staff were very nice from the hostess to the server! The decor is modern, and the restaurant is very clean. The service was fast as well. The Brick House Diner is located in the Providence Square Shopping Center in Virginia Beach. This shopping center is accessible from both Providence Rd. and Kempsville Rd. I have had a few visits here now, and the most recent visit was on January 12, 2026. At the beginning of each new year, I like to try a place that I have never been to before, so January 1, 2026, was the first time I had come here. My mom was with me. Depending on when you come in general, parking can be limited at times with all the other businesses in this shopping center. Upon first look at the place from the outside, you can see the name and logo pretty easily. It looks similar to other places that happen to be in this same shopping center. We got here around 8 am on that first visit. When we came inside, it wasn't too busy yet, likely due to others probably still sleeping after being up past midnight for the new year. The inside of the place has a modern diner type of vibe, which fits the restaurant well. We were greeted and seated immediately. Our server Brooke came over pretty quickly and asked us what we would like to drink. I just do my usual of water with lemon, and my mom had gotten coffee. It would take us a little while to choose since there lots of good items to choose from. When she came back to check again, we were ready this time. I figured I'd get something I don't normally do, so I went for the French Toast Combo with scrambled eggs, bacon, and baked apples. My mom decided to go with the Ultimate Skillet with rye toast. The food would come out pretty quick. It was around ten minutes or so. Both breakfast entrees looked really good and they were hot. It felt like an indulgence when I started on the French toast since it has been a long time since having it. The baked apples were great too, and something else I don't normally have. I will note that I didn't get a blood sugar spike after this meal either that day. My mom enjoyed the Ultimate Skillet as much as I did with the French Toast Combo. After the experience from that first visit, we came back to try the lunch/dinner menu options for dinner that day. This visit was on January 12, 2026. After being seated initially, we moved over to a table since the booths were a bit tight. Kellie was our server on this visit. She asked us what we wanted to have to drink, and I went with water with lemon and my mom went with a coke. After taking some time to look over the menu, we were ready to order. My mom decided not to have too much, so she just went with the Loaded Baked Potato side item. I decided to try the Chipotle Chicken Ciabatta Sandwich with the homemade chips as the side. Just like the last time, it took about ten minutes or so for the food to come out. The sandwich I had was really good, and so were the homemade chips. This time, this meal did spike my blood sugar levels, but it was so good. My mom told me afterwards that the loaded baked potato she had come out cold. It was then that we let the server know, and she asked if she wanted to get it redone. She said no but wanted to take it home instead. The server did take off the cost of that item. It was likely due to it sitting before my sandwich was ready to bring them out together. Mom did get a box to bring it home and had it later that evening, and she said it was good when it was heated up at home too. Overall, we have had a few very good experiences here. The food and service were good, and the issue for my mom was handled well too. That shows they truly care about the experience of the visitors here. Both menus may be just two sides, but there is quite a bit to choose from. I think anyone would find something they would like here. There is one thing I want to note when it comes to paying. There is a 3% surcharge added to the total including taxes if you use a credit card instead of cash. In the end, if you are looking for a diner type of place, this one is worth checking out. read more

An early Saturday evening, and it was pretty good. The service was okay, but the server wasn't particularly kind. The food was good. The burger was cooked all the way through, just as I ordered, which was notable and appreciated. The milkshake was good too. I had the Cookies and Cream. There was no section on the menu for drinks. They certainly promote their alcoholic beverages, but not their soft drinks. I had to ask what kind they had. That's never happened before. I would suggest putting those on the menu as it makes no sense not to. The interior seemed fairly clean. They played mostly country music, which i thought was odd. I'd definitely go back and try some more stuff as the menu was really big! Lots of options and a decent variety. I had the pleasure of having breakfast at the Brick House Diner this morning for the first time. This was the first time I've been to the restaurant, and I was thoroughly impressed by the food, the weight staff, and the overall feel of the restaurant. Their portion sizes were absolutely amazing for the price and their staff was extremely friendly. The interior felt rustic, but modern at the same time. I would highly recommend going to this restaurant, and as this was my first time that I had ever been, I'm even now more curious to see what their lunch and dinner options are like. When I am in the area in the morning I always stop by the Brick House Diner as I did this morning, Tuesday, June 23, 2026 for breakfast. This will be my last visit. My wife and I ordered omelets which were so-so quality and served cold. The troublesome part was when the waitress served the omelets she told us the toast was not ready but would be out shortly. Halfway through our breakfast my wife got up to find the waitress and ask where our toast was. The waitress said she would check. The waitress appeared a few minutes later with two orders of blackened toast, and I don't mean over toasted, I mean burnt. We refused to accept the burnt toast. When we had 3-4 bites of our breakfast left she appeared again with acceptable toast. Poor service, cold omelets and burnt toast. Our last visit to Brick House Diner. read more

Herd this place is pretty awesome! So I had to try mostly cause I'm all about breakfast. The inside decor clean and modern. The service was great. I ordered the "BHD Crab Benedict " and it was the bomb! Most places do not auto add tomatoes and spinach, but this place does. And no skimping here. Just look at my pic. I always have the hollandaise sauce on the side, cause I like to add my own amount of sauce.Home fries also tasty! Also side of bacon and they gave about 5 strips most places only give you 3. The food is good. Not great but good. The interior is very nice and clean. The service on the other hand is hit or miss. I was here on a Monday @ 10am. They are not busy especially for the amount of staff they have here. My food was delivered to me fast. Ok great. But the waitress dropped off the food and never came back to check on my party. Oh and it was a party of 2. I got toast with my breakfast and you didn't bring me jelly or stop back to check to know I'd like jelly. My coffee was then left to sit empty for half my meal. The only reason they are getting two stars is because the food was good. Then when I'm done eating you bring me the bill. Never was asked if we wanted anything else. Just dropped the bill and walked away. Then 1 minute later you're coming to ask if you're ready for me to pay. No, no I'm not. You paid more attention to me to get money than to provide service. She had the best personality from the moment we were seated. He ordered a combo with scrambled eggs, 1 sausage link, one piece of ham, 2 slices of bacon, grits, and a piece of Rye bread. I got a bacon and cheese omelet, home fries (the good kind with real potatoes cooked in bacon grease), and a slice of wheat toast. We both enjoyed our meals. Came here with family for lunch. They tell me that it is always busy when they come for food. We all ordered a ham and turkey sandwich on ciabatta with potato salad instead of fries. The sandwiches were hot and tasty, with perfectly crusty ciabatta. The potato salad was delicious and well seasoned. The sweet tea perfectly southern style and not at all overbrewed. I did grab a slice of German chocolate cake. The icing was light on the shreds of coconut and nuts, it was OK but left a little something to be desired. It could get a little on the loud side- not terrible, but you can tell it is busy and packed. You can converse with your table, despite the background chatter. I have been going here for the last two years now and no matter what I order it's been hot fresh, and consistent. The inside is so cute, clean, and modern. I haven't come across a server that wasn't quick, efficient, and friendly! They are all very sweet! Onto the food menu, it is pretty extensive. Lots of choices, but have yet to come across an item that isn't exceptional. Husband, children, friends, as well as myself love all the food options! My kids love the chicken tenders and fries, and I have tried everything from burgers, to sandwiches, to salads, to loaded fries, tots, nachos, and ribeye steak! The Burgers are perfectly made and the Pattie's seem to be made in house. They are juicy but not compacted. Ribeye was really good especially for a diner. It was medium rare and juicy with great flavor. Oh and the onion rings are excellent. Crunchy, hot fresh, and well seasoned. The fries are thin and crispy and are always hot and crunchy. The gyro sandwich, salad, or nachos are filled with all of the Greek flavors like feta, Kalamata olives, banana peppers, tatziki, lettuce, tomato, and onions. The tatziki sauce is well made and refreshing with cucumber and herbs. Service and ambiance is all you feel good about at the Brickhouse Diner. Be warned the breakfast menu is well beyond subpar, it was tasteless. To add insult to injury, the manager stated that they don't use seasoning. I ordered grits that were beyond tasteless and substitute them with baked apples that were clearly right out a can, no baked apples or seasoned. The manager suggested they bring me some cinnamon. Not once did the manager apologize. Why would I want to season my own food when I am paying for it. IHOP and First Watch will be my next breakfast spot.
