Fish n chips in Va Beach! I've had authentic fish n chips and this IS that. Delicious! And in order to bring you the type of review you deserve, or course I had to get a burger too! Also top tier, the burger was juicy and delicious - and a nice size burger by the way not one of the puny ones that are getting more and more popular these days. Tasty, seasoned fries with both made this a great meal. The service was very good, all of our orders were on point even with a large party. Parking is ample and seating is as well so big group or a couple you can be accommodated. Definitely will be back!

Service was a mixed bag: I was seated for about 7 minutes before anyone came by to my table even to acknowledge that someone would come by. But once when the waitress came, she was nice and friendly. It felt like they don't know what to do with solo diners. The place needs some updating, yes while it's a tavern could use better lighting and updated trendy decor. There was a time when a waitress adjusted the blinds by standing on table to roll it up, couldn't it be done before the restaurant opened? My food was good, I got the steak salad. Dressing was orange cranberry. One more thing - the bartender was sneezing like crazy into her hands and not a single time did I see her wash her hands before she picked up the glasses to serve drinks at the bar - thank goodness I wasn't getting anything from the bar!

I regularly eat at Park Lane. The food is good, especially the fish and chips, and the price is reasonable. For Dry January, I had a Berry Nojoti, which was very tasty. I highly recommend this restaurant.

I visited Park Lane a few months ago and really enjoyed it, so I decided to come back and I'm glad I did! I saw their Fluffy Seagull Espresso Martini featured on social media as a Thursday martini special. It was made with Peanut Butter Whiskey, Kahlua, Espresso and Fluff and looked amazing, so I called on a Friday to see if they could still make it for us. I was told they could, so we headed over to try it out. Unfortunately, once we arrived, we were told they ran out of Fluff, which was a bummer! We had them make the espresso martini anyway, and it was still pretty tasty. We started off with the Firecracker Shrimp and Florentine Mushrooms and both appetizers were absolutely delicious. The shrimp were fried to perfection, definitely a 10/10! For my entrée, I went with the Maker's Mark Bourbon Chicken and it was just as great. I ate the entire plate with no regrets lol! Our server was friendly and attentive, which made the whole experience even better and the vibe is always nice and lowkey, which I enjoy. I'll definitely be back and next time, I'll make sure to visit on a Thursday to try one of their specialty martinis when they're fully stocked lol.

I really enjoyed my visit with the hubby. We were gonna catch a quick movie at the Cinema Cafe nextdoor and really wanted a filling meal first. We were not disappointed. The place was full and wonderfully boisterous! I love that kind of environment. Also very nice servers!

Came back for some shepherds pie. Turns out Thursday is a $6 martini night and I was not disappointed. Food is great, service is friendly. I love the decor, esp the table for large parties that has a royal throne like chair. I would say the meat in the pie could be a little less strongly flavored with rosemary and/or thyme but that's arbitrary. Still very delicious.

    Crab Benedict

Came for brunch and it was delightful, quick service and great food. The spicy bloody Mary was perfect, and really affordable at only $5. The steak Benedict was tender and cooked to my liking. Each Benedict comes with cheesy creamy hash browns. The crab Benedict was great, big pieces of crab and the Benedict sauce was a balanced touch. Inside is very cozy and pub-like. Lots of cool stuff on the walls.

We stopped in for a late lunch and enjoyed the goat cheese dip, and Jagerschnitzel - both were absolutely delicious. Before leaving, we treated ourselves to a quick drink, and the Pineapple Upside Down Martini along with the S'mores Tini are definitely must tries. Will definitely be returning to explore more of the menu. Alexis was very sweet and made sure we were taken care of.

Food was delicious! I love my french dip and the pretzel appetizer. Our server Trista was AMAZING! She knew so much about the menu and she knew everything we needed before we even had the chance to ask! CLEANED THE PLATE

We were in the mood for burgers and made the right choice. I got the bacon stuffed Gouda burger and it was delicious. I ended up having to share it with my family because they had entree envy. The kids fish and chips is the same food as comes with the adult meal. I checked because my kid has an appetite and sometimes I order the adult entree instead. It was a good portion and I would come back for the fish and chips if I wasn't in the mood for a burger. The restaurant has some interesting Irish decor. People were eating outside and at the bar. It was pretty busy but the service was good.

5 for the customer service and attentiveness of the staff. This place was buzzing with energy and a crew that looked like they enjoyed their jobs and wanted to be there. Food was hit or miss but im not deducting any stars. The Wellington I think is a personal palate issue. Loved the flaky crust and the steak when eaten alone was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. Wasn't a fan of the mushrooms or sauce. My wife was not a fan of her sandwich. Was edible, but in the do not order again category. The star was the fish!! Its MASSIVE white GLOSSY AND FLAKY The crunch on that thang was out of this world. The flavor of the batter was perfection. Will be back for family fish night for sure!

I stumbled across this place during a work trip and wasn't disappointed. We went in with a small group and unknowingly popped in during Fish and Chips night which is quite busy. Food: the food was great pub style food. I ordered a burger which was cooked perfectly and the fries were seasoned just right. A co-worker ordered the fish and chips to see what the hype was about and boy were we impressed. It was a single piece of fish the size of her forearm. It was cooked golden brown and crispy. Well worth the money! The bread pudding was a huge hit with the group however I did not partake. The service: our server was very to the point and knowledgeable about the menu. She checked in regularly and made sure we were taken care of. Overall, fun atmosphere, solid food options and seems like it would be a blast to catch a game at the bar.

Loved this visit! We were visiting from out of town. And based on previous reviews, we decided to stop in. Our waiter was so kind in explaining some of the featured entrees. Additionally, he was very knowledgeable about cocktails that were offered that may not have been on the menu, so that helped us to narrow down what we wanted. We settled on the brisket burger and the monte cristo sandwich, starting with fried pickles as the appetizer. In my humble opinion, the pickles could stand to be a little more tart, with a little less breading, but we're still tasty all around. I ran into the same overall breading issue with a monte cristo sandwich. There was only one layer of meat and cheese, the standard being 2-3 layers. Not worries, though, as it was still very good. Our drinks were well made and the dining experience was really amenable to groups as well as quiet conversation. Would definitely recommend!

Yummy chocolate martini. It was filled to the brim, but of course I had to try it before the photo!

Ask the Community - Park Lane Tavern

    Do they do reservations?

Yes, you can set up a reservation by calling the location directly. This applies to regular and large party groups.

    What is the price range?

Depending on what you want, I'd expect the cost to be between $11 and $30 per person. Though there are some items that would be on the higher end, that range is in the norm with what I have experienced here.

    Do they have a brunch?

They have a "make your own Bloody Mary bar" that coincides with brunch.

    Are there Vegetarian food options?

Yes, absolutely. While the breadth of your options might depend on how strict your vegetarianism is (i.e. dairy, eggs), there will be options for you, even if you have to ask for alterations to existing menu items. They're very nice!

    Do they have brunch specials?

Yes. On Sunday, they have a brunch menu. Lots of benedicts and breakfast items. Plus a build your own Bloody Mary bar and mimosa specials.

Is this a good place to watch Sunday football?

They have a good selection of beer, and some pretty good appetizers. Your tv selection is mostly limited to around the bar area, there aren't any on the patio or closer to the back of the restaurant. Depending on what seat you get I would say it's a… Read more

Are there any happy hour specials--food/ Drinks?

Not yet. From what I understand, they will begin happy hour in about a month.

Is smoking allowed on the patio?

    Yes

Are dogs allowed on the patio?

Yes we love well behaved dogs. 😁

The volume on her TV is at 80 and she can't hear it but can hear the kitchen noises. 3. The seat was too hard. Once again....grain of salt. She is skin and bones but I will bring her something to sit on next time. She actually did enjoy the food but I got the leftovers. :) We will be back.

It was a beautiful evening. Our server was Lauryn, and she was great. She was nice and attentive but not worrisome. We had the Wisconsin Cheese Curds along with the house made Sangria. As an entree, I had the whiskey burger with truffle fries. I really liked the cheese curds; they're a lot flavorful than traditional mozzarella sticks. The house made sangria was really good too! We had to stop ourselves from just sucking it down. The burger is where I had the issue. It was a little on the dry side.... Too well done despite asking for medium. It also wasn't seasoned well. The only flavor rally came from the bbq sauce and onion straws. The truffle fries were good though. The menu said they won't best burger of Virginia Beach, and that was made me get a burger. Not the best burger I've ever had. Next time, I will try the pizza and probably go to the Shore drive location since that is closer to my house.
