What a great hole in the wall diner. There were plenty of specials and the regular menu was loaded as well. I would have had the shrimp and grits, but they were out of shrimp. So I had the sausage gravy special. It was great! Their sausage gravy is one of the best I've had. I will return if I get back here.

We stopped by Terrie's for a easy breezy late breakfast, and I thought everything was great. The restaurant has a very Mom n Pop vibe especially with the paper placemats displaying ads from local businesses. Both of our waitress were extremely nice and chatty. For my dining pleasure, I went with the meatlovers omelette, which was served with potatoes and a biscuit. My meal was pretty tasty, and the omelette was loaded with a lot of ham, sausage, and bacon. So, it definitely kept me full for most of the day. The prices are pretty reasonable for the area, I think my breakfast was less than 15 bucks. I'm giving them 4 stars because they didn't use the cheese that I requested for the omelette but it was not a huge deal. I would have brought it up to the waitress, but I was starving and did not want to wait for the kitchen to prepare another omelette. Overall, I highly recommend Terrie's for your breakfast needs. Since I found out about Terrie's from a nearby car dealership. I'll definitely return while getting my car serviced during breakfast and lunch hours.

The parking out front is tight but there's more in the back. Staff is friendly af. Down home mom & pop spot for real. Loved the vibe. Food was tasty like and old school diner vibe. I got everything for under $15. Great place and budget friendly in this day and age.

When you're hungry for some good old fashion breakfast make sure to stop by Terrie's Breakfast & Lunch. It is located off Military Hwy near the dealerships, but don't drive too fast because this is a hole-in-the-wall establishment. This restaurant is a family owned restaurant. There were about 2 waitresses, 2 cooks, and a hostess. It is a very small location, I wouldn't say it fits a party. We ordered a strawberry lemonade mimosa, kids pancake, French toast combo, side of home fries, and a pancake combo. For the price, can't beat it! Also, I saw some reviews say they are cash only. This is false. They have added a credit card machine.

I stopped by today for a quick bite to eat for lunch and everything was wonderful. I decided to try the Club Sandwich with French Fries. This is a real Club Sandwich (properly served with 3 pieces of bread) piled high with Ham, Turkey and Bacon. All of the ingredients were fresh and delicious. The French Fries came out piping hot and they were awesome. You can pay a lot more for food around town and not get the quality that you receive here.

I enjoyed my experience at this spot. I has a warm atmosphere and the server we had was very inviting. Our food was hot and tasted good. I am giving 4 stars because they have a limited menu. Other than that I will be returning because it is super close to me house :-)

Today's craving was a good ol fashion Juicy burger and not a fast food one. I decided to give Terries a try. They didn't fail me. I normally just get breakfast sandwiches from here. They have me sold on lunch now. This burger was just like making one at home minus the clean up and the lingering grease smell in your house.

Staff were accommodating and friendly. The restaurant has a nice ambiance fit for an enjoyable fun night of drinks and food. To drink, I tried their $5 Cranberry Crush (7/10) it was refreshing and slushy, but not strong at all really just a slushy juice and the Georgia Peach (10/10) loved the flavor and was a decently strong drink. To eat, we started with the Pork Rinds appetizer (10/10) they were definitely fresh and flavorful; I loved the sauce that came with them. I also ordered the Catfish basket (5/10) I was excited when this came to the table because it looked as though it would taste good and was a great portion size; however, it didn't meet my expectations at all. There was no flavor to the fish or batter and the Mac and cheese was very much the same way, bland. Though I am giving a lower rating, I would come back for drinks and to possibly try a different food. Feel like I must've ordered the wrong thing or the cook was having a bad night? I have no clue, but I'm open to returning in the future. My overall rate of experience : 6/10

When we got to host stand to order, I was told that Grits and waffle cut off at 4pm daily... this upset me because I had looked at menu prior to coming and that's what I really wanted. Im visiting from out of state, so it's not easy to come back. I ordered at 4:17pm. We were seated after ordering. The process is interesting. Around 4:23pm, I saw another table get chicken and waffles and it just irritated me because that's what I wanted. Plus, I was very VERY hungry at this time. The menu really should indicate time cut off for food. Also, pasta doesn't get sold until 2pm. Kids shrimp came at 4:56 and kids chicken came a couple minutes later. Kids meal come with caprisun. Seafood platter (my meal) came at 5pm. The staff was friendly and the food was enjoyable, nonetheless. Service could've been better. I would return for the food.

I've been to Sweet Jam a time or three and each time was just as perfect as the first time. After several visits, I would have to say that my two favorite dishes are their Chicken and Waffles and their ridiculously creamy and delicious Shrimp and Grits. Today is the 2'nd Friday during Lent, so for me that means no red meat. With that being said, if you are looking for a dangerously delicious red meat free dish I would recommend Sweet Jam Cafe's Shrimp and Grits. Let's start with the Chicken and Waffles- the chicken and waffles is a plate of one waffle that is cut into quarters and plated with three full size wings. The waffle is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I think their might be a hint of vanilla in the batter and I love it. The chicken, oh my gosh, sooooooo good. The chicken is crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. If they sold just that flavorful chicken skin, I would buy a whole bucket of it. So good. The Shrimp and Grits are...... All I can say about the Shrimp and Grits is to go to Sweet Jam and order a bowl. It is so creamy, the grits are cooked perfectly and the shrimp.... Oh the shrimp. Do your mouth a favor and try this dish. You will not be disappointed.

Really everyone was friendly. I even loved when we left the chefs were telling us "thank you" and "have a nice night." The food, OMG!!! Hands down THE best food spot I've had for dinner in Norfolk. This place even beats out the BC. We started with the pork bites and baaby before I knew it, it was devoured (10/10). You would think this would earn the restaurant points, but it just further added to the dissatisfaction. How can a restaurant with such good food be so unpleasant to be in? From the moment I stepped in and interacted with the curt hostess everything was so tense and stressful. Unfortunately the last two reviews of this restaurant completely match my experience tonight. We were rushed and pressured to place orders quickly or lose our right to eat there. I will admit that not all of my party was present on time. But I (the one who made the reservation) and another guest arrived right on time to claim our table. This establishment's policies around ordering are so strict and rigid that it's impossible to relax and enjoy yourself. Life happens, people show up late and things don't always go to plan. The inability for the staff to adapt and accommodate leaves the guests feeling as if their presence is a burden. No one goes to a sit down restaurant to simply get their food and leave. Fine dining is also about the experience. I specifically sought out a Black-owned restaurant to patronize in recognition of Black History Month. To be made to feel so unwelcome after being so intentional about being in that restaurant was the worst part of the whole thing. 350 Grace, do better. You've got the food down. Get the experience down, as well. If managing a busy dining room of patrons is too difficult, might I suggest converting to a drive-through?
