My daughter ordered 1 lb of crawfish (with the cajun sauce) with potato and corn. It was quickly demolished so I'd say it was a winner! She also got a side of sweet potato fries that went with her back to school :D I enjoyed snow crab legs (with the garlic butter) which also came with a potato and corn and it also was very good. My husband ordered the catfish and enjoyed it. His only feedback was that he wished it came with clarified butter, we had some home but I agree, it should have been included with his hush puppies. Overall it was pretty good. When she wants crawfish again, we will likely come back but I do feel that there are better local places around that I could get more for our money at. read more

Went here Monday night after 7:30 pm, restaurant barely had anyone inside except for a big party table and a few other customers. Pretty dull atmosphere and the service was surprisingly slow. Took a min for our orders to be taken after we were seated. Barely even seen any workers on the floor either. Server wasn't very attentive and also forgot some of our items we had asked for, multiple times, so it took multiple attempts to try and get their attention and get what we needed. Pretty disappointing service, especially with the restaurant being empty. To drink, I got a Margarita (10/10) it was strong and had good flavor. To eat, I decided to try T2 (8/10) it came with corn, potatoes, a lobster tail, shrimp, mussels, and sausage. I enjoyed the flavor and everything was cooked well, there was just little to no sauce in the bag though. I like to have a good, decent amount of sauce to dip my seafood in while eating, but there wasn't much even in the bag. First time trying this restaurant and so glad I did! I haven't had a bpil in a while and herd they we're pretty good. When you first walk in you have nice big space with plenty of seating. Nice modern decore. The service was top notch. I ordered the "snow crab legs, shrimp, crawfish boil with garlicbutteras the sauce" it also came with corn and potatoes. They came out with a big giant bucket for shells, and inside was the order in a plastic bag. I couldn't wait to dig in! My word...everything was done perfect! My husband wanted seafood so we came here. It was early around 5 on a Friday so it wasn't crowded. We were seated quickly. And our server took our drink orders. The sweet tea was very sweet, which I enjoyed! We got boils off th happy hour menu and added crab legs to it. I got a shrimp and sausage boil and added ramen. My husband got the shrimp and crawfish boil and added 1/2 lb of crab legs. The sauce flavor was great. The corn was severely overcooked and flavorless. We ordered some really tasty and creative Halloween themed drinks while we waited. We were served our drinks quickly. When the remainder of our party arrived we ordered our various seafood combo with a choice of different seasoning. I ordered shrimps, clams, mussels, red potatoes, and vegetables with garlic sauce steamed in a bag. When I opened the bag I could taste the aroma. Have you ever deeply inhaled a scent that you could actually taste it in your mouth? Yep (breathe in), that was definitely it. Around 6:39pm , I called the establishment inquiring about an order being put together & first whatever female answered the phone answered it with an attitude saying "hey , what?" like I was bothering her for calling , she was rude & it was unprofessional for the establishment. Came to The Twisted Crab in Greenbrier Mall for lunch while Christmas shopping. I was greeted by Sam, a friendly host who seemed genuinely happy to have me. My server was Will and when I told him I hadn't been here before, he offered to help me decide based on what I usually like. Very helpful! I went for the crab cake basket with fries and a glass of Pinot Grigio to celebrate the joy of the season ;) the food came out promptly and was warm when served. I'm a Maryland girl so the crab cakes have less lump crab than I'm used to but the flavor is top notch. The fries were crispy and delicious, and the sauce served with them was really good. They gave me two, which I appreciated! The atmosphere is friendly and casual with nice music playing and families enjoying the day. Don't sleep on this spot. On February 26, 2025, two of us entered the restaurant around 4:45 PM for our first visit. There were no other customers visible, and we were seated immediately. Several waitresses passed our booth, but by 5:10 PM, no one had approached us. Three other customers arrived after us and were quickly served. One waitress attended a booth nearby, issued a receipt, thanked them, and wished them a good night. She then began cleaning that booth and sweeping the floor. After waiting for 25 minutes without any service, we decided to leave. As we began walking out, no one acknowledged us. Before exiting, I thanked one of the waitresses for their service. She responded by asking if something was wrong. I commented that we did not receive any service and no one had waited on our table, but she did not reply. Think I popped in at the right time. It's rare to catch them on a Saturday not super super busy. Had their menu combo T1 that included 1/2 lb of snow crab legs (1 cluster), 1/2 lb shrimp and 1/2 lb of sausage with 2 potatoes and 2 pies of corn on the cob. I like my seafood with a tad bit of smoke so had the seasoning of Cajjn with Hot for spicy level. My husband had a 1 lb shrimp with Cajun and mild seasoning. John was our sever and bartender and man that drink was delicious "pineapple something," fruit with just the right punch of spirits. It was a steady flow of customers of various ages here. Not super loud so the ambiance was very personal and the servers were attentive without being overbearing. Twisted Crab is located at the front entrance of Greenbrier mall so you will have to compete for close parking but there is an abundance available to shoppers and restaurant guests. This place has no customer service. We walked in and the people at the host desk had blank lifeless looks on their face. The person who took us to the table basically walked by the table and literally slapped the menus on the table with a loud smack and just kept walking. It was as if we'd inconvenienced them y coming in. The waiter had no personality and mumbled the whole time. We didn't feel like giving our business to them so we paid for our drinks and left without ordering anything else. I've been coming to the Twisted Crab for almost a year now, and so far they have been pretty good. My husband always gets the T1 and I always get the T5 with the twisted sauce. If you like seafood boils, then this is the place to come. I've tried other items on the menu, and it's good. The hush puppies are crunchy, and delicious. The chicken wings, are just okay. I tried the lemon pepper, and nothing lemon pepper about the wings. I'll stick to the seafood. The fried cat fish is awesome. Everything comes out to you hot, so when I say that fish was hot, it was and just amazingly delicious. The rice is nice and sticky, I usually add that to my meal on the side when I get the seafood boil. The staff: You're greeted at the front, staff is nice. They can accommodate small to large parties. In our group we had eight. Our wait person was absolutely nice and patient. I have no complaints about service. My niece gave her mother a birthday party here on the 28th of December. It was about eighteen of us. The food was delicious. Some of us who were sick of eating seafood from earlier in the week chose to get the wings. They were very good. An order of ten was about $13/14 depending on the flavor. My new favorite seafood boil place in VA! I'm giving it one star less because upon arrival the hostesses seemed very confused about seating us. My husband and I walked here after attending a play at the Well's Theater. It was our first visit. The service was fast, friendly, and effecient. My husband got fried fish and french fries. The fish was delicious and the fries were amazing. I ordered a shrimp boil bag with broccoli added. The broccoli really absorbed the flavors. I haven't been to Greenbrier Mall this year so I was very surprised when I found out that The Twisted Crab Seafood & Bar is a new addition to the mall. We were searching for a restaurant for my SO's birthday and this restaurant is perfect because they close at 10:30pm on a weekday. We ordered the Cajun Shrimp , Twisted Sauce Shrimp, and Cajun Fries. We were disappointed that they do not have rice. For me, rice is a staple when I eat seafood in a bag meals like this. I asked for a medium spiced Twisted Sauce and was kind of disappointed that it wasn't too spicy for my taste. Maybe I will ask for the "hot" spice next time. The sauces were delicious and are very butter (I know I shouldn't be having that much butter, but it is really good). The service was great. Our server was funny and friendly. She also agreed with me that they need to add rice on their menu. Maybe, she'll convince her bosses to add it in the future or maybe they'll make it a secret menu. First time to The twisted crab. We're we intetend on dining was a 1hr wait. So this was right on time when we remembered it was there. Just a 10 minute wait. I had to wait for it to cool down, but it smelled sooo good I couldn't wait and popped a scalding shrimp into my mouth...burned my tongue wit flavorful delight! Haa haa haaa... the flavor was so good. Garlic and butter with Cajun spice!! Needless to say I totally thought I could eat it all but was unable to finish my bag o seafood. The corn cob was succulent swimming in the dipping sauce that lined the bag.. I thought of a Muck bang that you see on social media.
