We came here on a Saturday night. It's located inside the Aloft Hotel in Chesapeake. Once you enter the hotel there are different seating areas, a bar, a pool table, and live music. We arrived around 10:35 p.m. and were told the kitchen closes at 11 p.m., so we quickly we ordered our food. It was about a 15-minute wait for our order. Upon arriving we were greeted by the front desk representative, he was nice and answered all our questions. They have a menu with different wines, mixed drinks, and beers. They also have an appetizer menu. They offer wings, egg rolls, salads, burgers, fries, quesadillas, and things of that sort. We ordered a burger and fries, a quesadilla, cauliflower bites, a tiki sangria, a street mule, and an orange crush. The mixed drinks range from about $9-11. The wines are about $7-8 dollars. When our food came out it was warm. My burger was okay, but it was kind of bland. The fries were delicious. They were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and the batter was good. The cauliflower bites were weird. We assumed they were fried but they weren't, they were tossed in Buffalo sauce with blue cheese. The flavor was good but my daughter was not digging the texture. She said her quesadilla was also good it came with salsa and sour cream. The drinks were good as well. My Orange Crush was pretty strong. I couldn't taste all the ingredients in the drink, but it was fine. The drinks were not a bad price, but I feel that they could have been slightly cheaper. When we arrived there was live music. There was a nice little crowd and the atmosphere was nice and laid-back. The live music ends at 11pm and the bar closes at midnight. We also used the restrooms there and it was nice and clean. There was only one bathroom they had toilet paper though. All in all this is a nice hotel with a nice place to just hang out and have a good time. I will definitely return.

The bar staff is great. The issue I have is the pool cues are broken and miss sized. The table is on the down side as well.

I ordered the Texas Burger with fries and my wife ordered the Mushroom Swiss Burger. Both orders were delivered with efficient speed and both the fries and the burgers were piping hot upon arrival! It's in the same group of buildings such as Michael's (around the corner). My visit here was on October 27, 2025. The outside view of the business is simple, but effective. They have a specials chalkboard next to the entrance. Parking wasn't an issue on this visit, but I'm sure it can fill up at busier times. My mom and I were both in the area as she wanted to go to the Michael's store here. When we came inside, it wasn't busy, as it was around 3:30 pm when we got here. We were greeted by the one who would be our server for this visit. He gave us menus to look at and asked us for our drink orders. I generally stick with water with lemon, which I did here. We were there during the time where it was still the lunch menu (though for us, it was more like dinner for us that day). When he came back with the drinks, he asked if we were ready to order, but we weren't just yet. He also asked if we had any questions about the menu and options and gave us more time to mull over the menu. When he came back, we weren't completely ready, but asked a question about the specials of the day. After that, we knew what we would get and placed our food order. My mom ordered the Meatloaf Lunch Special with mashed potatoes and spinach. I went with the Meatball Sub Lunch Special with mashed potatoes, though I don't normally do potatoes that often. After about ten minutes or so, the food came to the table. The food looked really good, and it was hot too. The bread for the Meatball Sub was very soft and easy to eat. The meatballs were huge and made for a worthy meal. The mashed potatoes with gravy was really good and fulfilling too. My mom loved the meatloaf, and their meatloaf doesn't have ketchup on it like some other places do. She loved the meatloaf, spinach, and mashed potatoes too. After we were done, he asked if we wanted any desserts. We both declined as I normally don't do them anymore. Overall, we both had an excellent experience here. The food and service were on point. The food I had that day did spike my blood sugars, but I expected that with bread and mashed potatoes. I don't make a habit of that though. They are a great local business. There are lots of food options to choose from. If you are looking for a place to eat while in this part of Chesapeake, this place is worth coming to.

The huge bar is definitely a centerpiece,…read moreand there's plenty of comfortable restaurant seating, perfect for groups or a fun night out. We started the night with drinks: I went for a cold Modelo, while my friends both ordered margaritas, and wouldn't stop raving about how good they were! For appetizers, we shared the Union Trio! Fire roasted tomato salsa, creamy guacamole, and queso served with crisp tortilla chips. All three were fresh and delicious, a great way to kick off the meal. For my main, I mixed things up with a taco trio! Carne Asada (marinated steak, onion, queso fresco, avocado, cilantro), Chicken Tinga (marinated chicken, refried black beans, avocado, greens, queso fresco, cilantro) and Blackened Mahi (mezcal pickled onion, red cabbage, red pepper pico, chipotle sauce, cilantro). The blackened mahi was my hands down favorite. It was super flavorful with just the right amount of heat. My friends tried some awesome dishes too! One had the Coconut Curry Mahi (blackened mahi, jasmine rice, edamame succotash, with a rich coconut curry cream sauce) and the other had the Duck Confit Taco (with cherry salsa, pickled carrot salad, and cilantro-lime creme). Our waitress was phenomenal and definitely suggested great choices. If you're in the area and craving something a little more elevated than your average Mexican spot, Union is absolutely worth checking out. Great food, tasty drinks, and a stylish atmosphere!

My daughter ordered 1 lb of crawfish (with the cajun sauce) with potato and corn. It was quickly demolished so I'd say it was a winner! She also got a side of sweet potato fries that went with her back to school :D I enjoyed snow crab legs (with the garlic butter) which also came with a potato and corn and it also was very good. My husband ordered the catfish and enjoyed it. His only feedback was that he wished it came with clarified butter, we had some home but I agree, it should have been included with his hush puppies. Overall it was pretty good. When she wants crawfish again, we will likely come back but I do feel that there are better local places around that I could get more for our money at.

Pretty dull atmosphere and the service was surprisingly slow. Took a min for our orders to be taken after we were seated. Barely even seen any workers on the floor either. Server wasn't very attentive and also forgot some of our items we had asked for, multiple times, so it took multiple attempts to try and get their attention and get what we needed. Pretty disappointing service, especially with the restaurant being empty. To drink, I got a Margarita (10/10) it was strong and had good flavor. To eat, I decided to try T2 (8/10) it came with corn, potatoes, a lobster tail, shrimp, mussels, and sausage. I enjoyed the flavor and everything was cooked well, there was just little to no sauce in the bag though. I like to have a good, decent amount of sauce to dip my seafood in while eating, but there wasn't much even in the bag. With the service being slow already, I didn't want to sit and have a long wait for extra sauce, so I didn't ask for any extra. My overall rate of experience : 6/10
