    Curry cauliflower app

First time visit with friends for their "Glamertines" special occasion. The place is a lot bigger than I expected. It had a nice cozy and casual feel. They had a special menu for the night along with their usual menu. Everything looked looked delicious and I ended up getting 3 different tacos. You can order individual/singles with a choice of flour or corn tortilla. I ended up getting the a birria and duck. For the third, I want to say fish but I can't remember if it was fish or a pork. Mind you I also ordered a cocktail so forgive me. My only real complaint was the duck was a bit tough to chew and too salty for my taste. Other than that, the meal was pretty good. My friends and I also tried out their curry cauliflower app and 2 desserts-churro with ice cream and a dessert nacho. Both came topped with a creamy and rich vanilla ice cream. Defiantly the highlight of the entire meal.

Had to come back to this review and add a picture of the Mexican street corn fritters. Amazing and delicious drinks and food on Cinco de Mayo!

This place is my go to for a fun evening with friends. The food is good, fresh and very flavorful. I don't usually like a lot of fusion restaurants but I think this one does a really good job of balancing Asian and Latino flavors and styles. Very innovative and the drinks are so much fun. Staff is great and attentive and the ambiance just exudes a good time. Plan on coming back again and again!

First time coming here and I must say I was impressed. The restaurant/bar was very new and nicely decorated. There's 2 hr free parking in the garage nearby. The whole area looks nice and new. The waitress said until recently, the area was a park. The bar looked like a good place to drink but I was only there to eat an early dinner so I had the carnitas and the Peking duck taco. Both dishes were very delicious. I tried all three sauces and couldn't tell which one was the best so used all three of them since they were all tasty and mildly spicy. I probably should have just got the carnitas because I was really full after eating everything. The bartender/waitress was very friendly and great. The bar atmosphere was good too. They had happy hour specials that were good Mon-Friday from 4-6pm which was good drinks and there was a drink and food specials menu as well. Overall, very good experience and probably be back again and maybe try the burger or just stick to the carnitas which were great. A+ dining experience!

Oh man, my meal was great!! Had one Baja (fried flounder) and one Mahi taco and both were awesome. It was more than enough for a lunch meal. Kind of messy, but worth it. The prices for the tacos were reasonable and they were a dollar off because of Taco Tuesday!! I loved the outdoor seating, there was a border with flowers, which I loved. Much better than looking at a street or parking lot. The music was great, but not too loud. I can't wait to come back during happy hour!

We recently had dinner at Union Taco, located at the all new Summit Pointe, in the heart of Chesapeake. We have been here many times since they opened and we have never been disappointed. The staff is friendly, helpful and very prompt. Their ticket times are very fast, so beware if you order a hot appetizer because unless you mention it, you might get your entrees before you finish your appetizer. They recently opened up for outdoor dining over the Summer. One a nice evening, I would definitely consider sitting outside. I'm a big fan of Birria Tacos and they make an excellent version of this classic dish. We always have a great experience here, and I highly recommend checking them out when you're in the area, or even just make a special trip, it's well worth the drive...

    Chicken Tinga Taco

The food, service and ambiance was amazing. I've been there a few times already and every single time I truly enjoyed every entry I tried. The chicken Tinga is my fave and the hibiscus margarita! The bartenders and waitresses are fun and resourceful. Cleannnnnnn bathrooms! Big plus!

So pleasantly surprised by this taco place! First of all live music, absolutely obsessed. Perfect on a saturday night! He was so fun and talented making the vibe fantastic. The mix and match tacos made it so fun and the burritos are HUGE! Will definitely be going back when in the area. The panko coated shrimp was my absolute fav!

Let me start by saying Mateo was great at answering my questions and helping me with the menu. The establishment was nice and spacious. The chicken tortilla soup was really bland, lacking flavor. The tacos were good but the portions were small and the meat was skimpy. I do not know if it was because it was a to go order that it lacked meat but I will try them again and maybe dine in. The prito shrimp and blackened taco were delicious!

Sadly I have to update my previous five- star review. Before our most recent visit, we had always visited this place during happy hour and there weren't many people in the restaurant. Last night we went during dinner and it was full of people. Service was atrocious. We were seated and then forgotten about. After sitting there for about 20 minutes, we got up and went to find someone that could help us with drinks. It turned out to be our hostess. Which she did a great job of, but she wasn't our server. The rest of the dinner turned out to be very disappointing. We had to go find someone again when we were ready to order. Drinks were not refilled all night without us asking. Mine sat empty for what seems like forever. And to top the night off, a waitress was bringing beverages to our table and spilled beer all down my back. We let the waiter know, and all he did was bring over a few napkins. So disappointing. Because I really thought this was a great establishment. So I've sadly updated my five star review to a one star. If you want to go, I guess you have to go when they're not busy, because they can't handle a full dining room, and you might go home smelling like beer.

Prito Hipon Taco, Bulgogi Taco, Korean BBQ Chicken

Came here for dinner with a group of friends. I had made a reservation so we were seated quickly. We were there during happy hour so we tried the $5 margaritas which were good. We also got the union trio for an appetizer. The queso was everyone's favorite out of the three dips. I tried 3 of the tacos: the bulgogi beef, prito hipon, and Korean bbq chicken. The tacos were great and flavorful!! The shrimp was fresh, the sauce on the chicken was yummy. The bulgogi was good, a little over cooked. We got the Brookie skillet for desert which was yummy!! Service was a little slow but overall a great time. Definitely will go back to try different items!!

3.4 but by Chesapeake standards this is an above average option in the area. Skip the ahi tuna (not particularly fresh), but the carnitas entree is surprisingly good. The rice and beans are really good too. Service can be slow on Taco Tuesdays and during the lunch rush so order ahead if you're on a time constraint.

So, I was hopeful that the WXYZ lounge and bar in Chesapeake would be similar and provide a great atmosphere to get together for a fun, chill hangout with our friends. We were not disappointed. There was ample seating and a large table where we were able to share a meal and play board games. The lounge has games in the lobby area, which we weren't expecting, but was nice to see. We had brought our own games. My friend ordered a mocktail and enjoyed it. The four of us ordered chicken buffalo dip and fish and chips to share. I couldn't eat the chicken buffalo dip because I have a dairy allergy, but everyone said it was good. I did really enjoy the fish and chips. The fries were hot, thick, and well seasoned. The cod was very tasty as well, the skin was perfectly crispy but the meat was tender inside. While we didn't take pictures of the menu this time, I took a look at the menu online and there are some options listed on the website that were not printed on the physical menus we saw, but for what was the same the prices matched. The fish and chips isn't on the website but was on the physical menu and was affordable (two pieces or cod and ample fries). Our server (also the bartender) was nice and provided good service. The hours that they're open make it a great hangout spot for Friday nights and weekends. The restrooms are clean. The noise level was moderate and fine. We definitely recommend for hanging out with friends and will be coming back in the future.

My daughter really enjoyed her grilled cheese. The chicken fingers were more of the bread crumb breading compared to batter so it came off as she tried to break the chicken in half. It's in the same group of buildings such as Michael's (around the corner). My visit here was on October 27, 2025. The outside view of the business is simple, but effective. They have a specials chalkboard next to the entrance. Parking wasn't an issue on this visit, but I'm sure it can fill up at busier times. My mom and I were both in the area as she wanted to go to the Michael's store here. When we came inside, it wasn't busy, as it was around 3:30 pm when we got here. We were greeted by the one who would be our server for this visit. He gave us menus to look at and asked us for our drink orders. I generally stick with water with lemon, which I did here. We were there during the time where it was still the lunch menu (though for us, it was more like dinner for us that day). When he came back with the drinks, he asked if we were ready to order, but we weren't just yet. He also asked if we had any questions about the menu and options and gave us more time to mull over the menu. When he came back, we weren't completely ready, but asked a question about the specials of the day. After that, we knew what we would get and placed our food order. My mom ordered the Meatloaf Lunch Special with mashed potatoes and spinach. I went with the Meatball Sub Lunch Special with mashed potatoes, though I don't normally do potatoes that often. After about ten minutes or so, the food came to the table. The food looked really good, and it was hot too. The bread for the Meatball Sub was very soft and easy to eat. The meatballs were huge and made for a worthy meal. The mashed potatoes with gravy was really good and fulfilling too. My mom loved the meatloaf, and their meatloaf doesn't have ketchup on it like some other places do. She loved the meatloaf, spinach, and mashed potatoes too. After we were done, he asked if we wanted any desserts. We both declined as I normally don't do them anymore. Overall, we both had an excellent experience here. The food and service were on point. The food I had that day did spike my blood sugars, but I expected that with bread and mashed potatoes. I don't make a habit of that though. They are a great local business. There are lots of food options to choose from. If you are looking for a place to eat while in this part of Chesapeake, this place is worth coming to.

The restaurant was very colorful and vibrant and I loved all the Jamaican decor. The bar was just as packed and it took a while for someone to get us menus but after looking over the menu, we decided on the Brown Stew Chicken and the Curry Chicken. We also ordered Frozen Bob Marleys, which were very good. As we waited, we were able to hear the sounds of the band nearby and it made for a nice vibe. It took an hour for us to get our food but our server/bartender, Meka, was very sweet and apologetic. The Brown Stew Chicken was amazing! It was seasoned wonderfully and extremely flavorful. The Rice & Peas and Plantains were just as good. My daughter enjoyed her Curry Chicken as well. Neither one of us cared for the Mac & Cheese. Wednesdays are Groove on the Green, which is a free, Music Concert Series that Cutlass Grille hosts so I believe that's what caused it to be busy. Plus, we saw a few graduates out there as well having graduation dinners. Overall, I enjoyed my food but we definitely picked the wrong day to go.
