This past Sunday around 6pm plain nachos were ordered. Nothing fancy! Many employees standing around talking and carrying on! The bar was full of old used glasses and plates, etc! At least 20 minutes had passed and no nachos! We then asked the waiter to bring the check for the drinks and he said don't worry about it. I said no I want to pay and even after that leave a tip. He then took the order again and in less than 4 minutes we had nachos! I don't usually post this kind of thing but that was ridiculous! We were greeted and seated immediately, which was great for a large group of 8. We were able to get our orders and quickly and the food arrived hot and fresh. I ordered the burrito el amigo. It's a little bit outside of my comfort zone, but my son enjoyed the mangoes on top. The steak was cooked a little tough, but I ate around it and everything else tasted really good. If the state part was a little bit more digestible, I probably would have given five stars, but I couldn't eat any of them meat just because of how tough it was. Tried 3 Amigos for the first time tonight and it was excellent! We had the carne adasa tacos, enchiladas, and kids had the chicken tenders and fries and nachos. We also tried the guac, pico, lava cake, and fried ice cream. And took the birria tacos and al pastor tacos to go. Everything was delicious. The restaurant is clean, service was prompt, portions are large, and prices are good! We all had leftovers for tomorrow's lunch. We will definitely be back! read more

On our way to OBX we stopped at Three Amigos while taking the business portion of route168 to avoid the 168 toll section. It was worth the diversion to avoid the $9 toll and to have a nice meal. The lengua (beef tongue) tacos and shredded beef burrito were delicious with very large portions. They also provided both salsa and a white sauce dips for the chips. Plenty to eat and prices were reasonable. Servers were helpful and even arranged for substituting shredded beef in the burrito. Only glitch was that servers disappeared when time to pay the bill. read more

The small tortilla it was wrapped in was probably 3 times the size of the contents. Taste was mostly the white sauce. Tropical salad, mostly canned pineapple with the juice spilled in. 5 shrimp, ample chicken was very good. Mango was fine and dressing was sweet but unclear flavors. Stopped by for a work lunch.. the restaurant opened at 1100. It wasn't packed and we were seated right away. The waitress was really nice and ensured our party was well taken care of. Our drinks came out right away and the chips and salsa was on the table before we could even sit down. So that was good because everyone was really hungry. I ordered the the beef taco salad. The toppings were fresh but the taste was really bland. I can describe it best as browned ground beef with no flavor. Needed salt, pepper and taco flavoring.. the bottom of the shell was watery. We sent back two meals and my husband didn't even get to eat for at least five minutes because he didn't have utensils. Once we got to the counter there was a 15% gratuity added! Absolutely the BEST Mexican place ever. I have been to many many places and this was soooo good. My husband and I passed through on our way out of town, and If I lived here, we would be eating at this place every week. Our waiter told us that they have a new menu and I enjoyed looking at all of the items shown on it My favorite things were the homemade cheese sauce on top of my chicken, shrimp, rice plate with tortillas on the side. I also loved that sweet sauce offered with the chips and salsa. It tasted like a sauce they'd put on fish tacos, and I overall really enjoyed the high-end feel of the restaurant. Una coworker told me about this restaurant. Told me that was the best Hispanic food in the seven cities!!! Well she wasn't lying! OMG we had the best food!!! I only regret not taking a picture and writing the name down!!! I can tell you that I ate cactus for the first time!!! It all came in a large hot bowl with melted cheese, shrimp drowning, surrounded by beef and chicken strips made to be wrapped in tortilla. I have had the pleasure of tasting the chicken and steak fajitas as well as the seafood chimichanga. After noticing our appreciation for heat, the server brought out a platter of Chiles Toreados and Onions and I fell in love. Worth the drive just for these. The table side guacamole is both flavorful (they ask for your preferences as it is being prepared) and the portion is generous. We were greeted by a friendly hostess and then by our server with chips and salsa (which was too spicy for me to eat). The restaurant was very clean, the tables and chairs were very nice and comfy. Unfortunately, the men's bathroom smelled very bad like urine (so my husband said). I ordered the 2 enchilada & taco combo meal. It was good, however, my chicken enchilada was very salty. My son very much enjoyed his hot dog and french fries. Hubby opted for the California fish tacos. He loved them!
