Tried 3 Amigos for the first time tonight and it was excellent! We had the carne adasa tacos, enchiladas, and kids had the chicken tenders and fries and nachos. We also tried the guac, pico, lava cake, and fried ice cream. And took the birria tacos and al pastor tacos to go. Everything was delicious. The restaurant is clean, service was prompt, portions are large, and prices are good! We all had leftovers for tomorrow's lunch. We will definitely be back! read more

Meeting up with old friends and this location was recommended. It did not disappoint for filling that Mexican craving and washing it down with a spicy margarita is never a bad thing! First of all....staff is amazing! "Why not take a tequila shot too?" Plenty of parking. Great for large groups. Huge food selection which is always a good thing lol. Service was quick and on point. No mistakes with our large group during a busy dinner time. Large alcoholic menu for those much needed happy hours from margaritas, beer, wine and various cocktails. Friday night 6:00. Restaurant was packed at 6 o'clock. We were seated within 10 minutes. Service was exceptional. The food servers were almost running. It seemed like. And the food was as good as any authentic Mexican food I have ever eaten. My wife had chicken fajitas with flour tortillas and I had a California burrito With steak shrimp and chicken. We are locals and come in regularly. The food is always awesome, the margaritas are always strong, and the service is ALWAYS amazing! Plenty of staff, but how they maintain the pace they do is a mystery. just wow. Always a line to get in from Friday through the weekend, and always locals. On our way to OBX we stopped at Three Amigos while taking the business portion of route168 to avoid the 168 toll section. It was worth the diversion to avoid the $9 toll and to have a nice meal. The lengua (beef tongue) tacos and shredded beef burrito were delicious with very large portions. They also provided both salsa and a white sauce dips for the chips. Plenty to eat and prices were reasonable. Servers were helpful and even arranged for substituting shredded beef in the burrito. This place is amazing. I can't get enough of their California Burrito. It has the right combination of chicken, steak, and shrimp. The small tortilla it was wrapped in was probably 3 times the size of the contents. Taste was mostly the white sauce. Tropical salad, mostly canned pineapple with the juice spilled in. 5 shrimp, ample chicken was very good. Mango was fine and dressing was sweet but unclear flavors. Walking in it smelt great and the atmosphere was nice. That's about the only thing we enjoyed about our dinner. The food was TRASH. Enchilada that were just rolled up corn tortillas with meat inside hardly warmed hardly cooked. Chimichanga that only had the ends fried not the center. Like it got dipped in grease on each end. We sent back two meals and my husband didn't even get to eat for at least five minutes because he didn't have utensils. Once we got to the counter there was a 15% gratuity added! We were a family of five, service was horrible and food was worse. Would not recommend this place to a single person. read more

Stopped by for a work lunch.. the restaurant opened at 1100. It wasn't packed and we were seated right away. The waitress was really nice and ensured our party was well taken care of. Our drinks came out right away and the chips and salsa was on the table before we could even sit down. So that was good because everyone was really hungry. I ordered the the beef taco salad. The toppings were fresh but the taste was really bland. I can describe it best as browned ground beef with no flavor. Needed salt, pepper and taco flavoring.. the bottom of the shell was watery. I would give them another try but I hope the food is better the next go around. The service was top notch. read more

Absolutely the BEST Mexican place ever. I have been to many many places and this was soooo good. My husband and I passed through on our way out of town, and If I lived here, we would be eating at this place every week. Our waiter told us that they have a new menu and I enjoyed looking at all of the items shown on it My favorite things were the homemade cheese sauce on top of my chicken, shrimp, rice plate with tortillas on the side. I also loved that sweet sauce offered with the chips and salsa. It tasted like a sauce they'd put on fish tacos, and I overall really enjoyed the high-end feel of the restaurant. Great servers, clean place, out-of-this-world food. 100/10 read more

Una coworker told me about this restaurant. Told me that was the best Hispanic food in the seven cities!!! Well she wasn't lying! OMG we had the best food!!! I only regret not taking a picture and writing the name down!!! I can tell you that I ate cactus for the first time!!! It all came in a large hot bowl with melted cheese, shrimp drowning, surrounded by beef and chicken strips made to be wrapped in tortilla. And don't forget the homemade salsa and avocado dip handmade in front of us. (Don't forget the tip!) This spectacular dish was only $21 and we had leftovers!!! My wife and I had a great time... This place has quickly become one of my favorite places to get Mexican food. The service is efficient and friendly. I have had the pleasure of tasting the chicken and steak fajitas as well as the seafood chimichanga. Both dishes are full of flavor and taste amazing but it's that chimichanga that has me coming back again and again. A margarita on the rocks pairs so nicely and is so refreshing on a hot day. Wasn't sure about trying since southern Chesapeake has its share of Mexican eateries, but I would highly recommend. The food is fresh, the people are friendly and knowledgeable. After noticing our appreciation for heat, the server brought out a platter of Chiles Toreados and Onions and I fell in love. Worth the drive just for these. The table side guacamole is both flavorful (they ask for your preferences as it is being prepared) and the portion is generous. I must admit that we've become regulars and writing this review has me thinking I'll be heading there for lunch today! read more

Nice place. The price at lunch time is great . You get a good portion of food for the money. All the comes with chips and salsa. The white salsa is awesome. I got the lunch special two taco and a quesadilla. The chicken quesadilla was terrific !! Chicken well seasoned fried peppers and lots of cheese. But I didn't care for the beef taco too much . We came here for dinner on a Monday evening. The place was empty except for one group. We were greeted by a friendly hostess and then by our server with chips and salsa (which was too spicy for me to eat). The restaurant was very clean, the tables and chairs were very nice and comfy. Unfortunately, the men's bathroom smelled very bad like urine (so my husband said). I ordered the 2 enchilada & taco combo meal. It was good, however, my chicken enchilada was very salty. Best Mexican Food in Hampton Roads. Hot, fast, delicious and reasonably priced. My husband had cheesy enchiladas with green peppers and onions and it was amazing. I had a delicious taco salad topped off with some really tasty salsa. These folks know to cook and provide good service. It's very modern yet with a classic vibe. Sorta steam punk esque if you will. I had several classes of Jameson (my favorite) and my friend tried the Violette and the Mr. Pink (play on a Negroni) which were both very good. We also shared some Old Bay French fries which were very yummy. The service was great! The bartender was very knowledgeable about the drinks and was even able to offer substitutions for ingredients in the drinks. We stayed until the lights came on and the manager kindly told us it was time to go lol. Love the experience!

The fish and chips isn't on the website but was on the physical menu and was affordable (two pieces or cod and ample fries). Our server (also the bartender) was nice and provided good service. The hours that they're open make it a great hangout spot for Friday nights and weekends. The restrooms are clean. The noise level was moderate and fine.
