This past Sunday around 6pm plain nachos were ordered. Nothing fancy! Many employees standing around talking and carrying on! The bar was full of old used glasses and plates, etc! At least 20 minutes had passed and no nachos! We then asked the waiter to bring the check for the drinks and he said don't worry about it. I said no I want to pay and even after that leave a tip. He then took the order again and in less than 4 minutes we had nachos! I don't usually post this kind of thing but that was ridiculous! I posted this hoping someone that owns this store or manages this store sees it! read more

We were greeted and seated immediately, which was great for a large group of 8. We were able to get our orders and quickly and the food arrived hot and fresh. I ordered the burrito el amigo. It's a little bit outside of my comfort zone, but my son enjoyed the mangoes on top. The steak was cooked a little tough, but I ate around it and everything else tasted really good. If the state part was a little bit more digestible, I probably would have given five stars, but I couldn't eat any of them meat just because of how tough it was. But the service and everybody else's food was great. I even picked up a to go order for my husband. read more

Ok, this is our families favorite local Mexican restaurant. The food is always great, the drinks are strong, and the people are kind. It can be a bit crowded especially on Tuesdays and not spotless but the atmosphere is warm and we truly enjoy this location. read more

Came here for Cinco de Mayo, was the perfect spot for that Mexican craving. The California Quesadilla was great, a little more cheese on it and it would be perfect. My server brought out chips and salsa right away, and was helpful and attentive the entire time. Inside has well designed wooden booths and tables, very authentic feel for Hickory. read more

Tried 3 Amigos for the first time tonight and it was excellent! We had the carne adasa tacos, enchiladas, and kids had the chicken tenders and fries and nachos. We also tried the guac, pico, lava cake, and fried ice cream. And took the birria tacos and al pastor tacos to go. Everything was delicious. The restaurant is clean, service was prompt, portions are large, and prices are good! We all had leftovers for tomorrow's lunch. We will definitely be back! read more

First of all....staff is amazing! "Why not take a tequila shot too?" Plenty of parking. Great for large groups. Huge food selection which is always a good thing lol. Service was quick and on point. No mistakes with our large group during a busy dinner time. Large alcoholic menu for those much needed happy hours from margaritas, beer, wine and various cocktails. Only down fall would be leaving the parking area during rush hour. Just pop in a good song and enjoy! read more

Always great service and amazing food. I've had most of the popular items from the menu and everything has been great. Friday night 6:00. Restaurant was packed at 6 o'clock. We were seated within 10 minutes. Service was exceptional. The food servers were almost running. It seemed like. And the food was as good as any authentic Mexican food I have ever eaten. My wife had chicken fajitas with flour tortillas and I had a California burrito With steak shrimp and chicken. Highly recommend. read more

The food is always good this time I got three chicken and cheese tacos and the waitress named Veronica was very nice

Great drinks and food. we go there a few times a month and are always satisfied with the staff too.

Hickory location. Service is always quick, food is always full of flavor, the margaritas always make the night better

Delicioso! Food here is very tasty and the service is great! Not a bad dish here and the chips and salsa is soo good!

We are locals and come in regularly. The food is always awesome, the margaritas are always strong, and the service is ALWAYS amazing! Plenty of staff, but how they maintain the pace they do is a mystery. just wow. Always a line to get in from Friday through the weekend, and always locals. Don't panic, though, they knock that line down quickly! If the locals love it, that should tell you something. thank you for coming by, see you tomorrow! read more

On our way to OBX we stopped at Three Amigos while taking the business portion of route168 to avoid the 168 toll section. It was worth the diversion to avoid the $9 toll and to have a nice meal. The lengua (beef tongue) tacos and shredded beef burrito were delicious with very large portions. They also provided both salsa and a white sauce dips for the chips. Plenty to eat and prices were reasonable. Servers were helpful and even arranged for substituting shredded beef in the burrito. Only glitch was that servers disappeared when time to pay the bill. read more

Great service. Food, fair. Had the seafood chimichanga for lunch. More like an appetizer. 3 shrimp, and a little other pieces of something. The small tortilla it was wrapped in was probably 3 times the size of the contents. Taste was mostly the white sauce. Tropical salad, mostly canned pineapple with the juice spilled in. 5 shrimp, ample chicken was very good. Mango was fine and dressing was sweet but unclear flavors. Chips were good, salsa was fine, white spicy ranch dressing with the chips, different. Two stars for food. read more

This place is amazing. I can't get enough of their California Burrito. It has the right combination of chicken, steak, and shrimp. The rest of my family get the burrito or quesadillas a la carte and those are really tasty as well. This establishment also supports the community and local non-profits. read more

I've been to this location several times, but was truly disappointed this time after ordering my usual Mango Habanero wings and trying the Pineapple Habanero wings. They lacked flavor, spice and quality. I was very disappointed this time and wasted my money! The only reason I didn't rate these a 1Star was because in the past the wings were amazing. read more

Stopped by for a work lunch.. the restaurant opened at 1100. It wasn't packed and we were seated right away. The waitress was really nice and ensured our party was well taken care of. Our drinks came out right away and the chips and salsa was on the table before we could even sit down. So that was good because everyone was really hungry. I ordered the the beef taco salad. The toppings were fresh but the taste was really bland. I can describe it best as browned ground beef with no flavor. Needed salt, pepper and taco flavoring.. the bottom of the shell was watery. I would give them another try but I hope the food is better the next go around. The service was top notch. read more

Walking in it smelt great and the atmosphere was nice. That's about the only thing we enjoyed about our dinner. The food was TRASH. Enchilada that were just rolled up corn tortillas with meat inside hardly warmed hardly cooked. Chimichanga that only had the ends fried not the center. Like it got dipped in grease on each end. We sent back two meals and my husband didn't even get to eat for at least five minutes because he didn't have utensils. Once we got to the counter there was a 15% gratuity added! We were a family of five, service was horrible and food was worse. Would not recommend this place to a single person. read more

First time coming here. Hubs and I were out doing a delivery and got hungry so we stopped in for an early dinner. The food and service was a pleasant surprise. Absolutely the BEST Mexican place ever. I have been to many many places and this was soooo good. My husband and I passed through on our way out of town, and If I lived here, we would be eating at this place every week. Our waiter told us that they have a new menu and I enjoyed looking at all of the items shown on it My favorite things were the homemade cheese sauce on top of my chicken, shrimp, rice plate with tortillas on the side. I also loved that sweet sauce offered with the chips and salsa. It tasted like a sauce they'd put on fish tacos, and I overall really enjoyed the high-end feel of the restaurant. Great servers, clean place, out-of-this-world food. 100/10 read more

The literal only reason I'm giving these guys a 4-star is cause they constantly forget stuff. But if its brought up to them they fix it right away. Una coworker told me about this restaurant. Told me that was the best Hispanic food in the seven cities!!! Well she wasn't lying! OMG we had the best food!!! I only regret not taking a picture and writing the name down!!! I can tell you that I ate cactus for the first time!!! It all came in a large hot bowl with melted cheese, shrimp drowning, surrounded by beef and chicken strips made to be wrapped in tortilla. And don't forget the homemade salsa and avocado dip handmade in front of us. (Don't forget the tip!) This spectacular dish was only $21 and we had leftovers!!! My wife and I had a great time... We came here for dinner on a Monday evening. The place was empty except for one group. We were greeted by a friendly hostess and then by our server with chips and salsa (which was too spicy for me to eat). The restaurant was very clean, the tables and chairs were very nice and comfy. Unfortunately, the men's bathroom smelled very bad like urine (so my husband said). I ordered the 2 enchilada & taco combo meal. It was good, however, my chicken enchilada was very salty. My son very much enjoyed his hot dog and french fries. Hubby opted for the California fish tacos. He loved them! All in all, service was great, very clean restaurant, but the food was mediocre. read more

This place has quickly become one of my favorite places to get Mexican food. The service is efficient and friendly. I have had the pleasure of tasting the chicken and steak fajitas as well as the seafood chimichanga. Both dishes are full of flavor and taste amazing but it's that chimichanga that has me coming back again and again. A margarita on the rocks pairs so nicely and is so refreshing on a hot day. Nice work Three Amigos!! read more

Wasn't sure about trying since southern Chesapeake has its share of Mexican eateries, but I would highly recommend. The food is fresh, the people are friendly and knowledgeable. After noticing our appreciation for heat, the server brought out a platter of Chiles Toreados and Onions and I fell in love. Worth the drive just for these. The table side guacamole is both flavorful (they ask for your preferences as it is being prepared) and the portion is generous. I must admit that we've become regulars and writing this review has me thinking I'll be heading there for lunch today! read more
