We came here for an early dinner on a weekday and we were seated right away. The ambiance was typical of a Mexican restaurant. The service was fast and friendly. The food was okay overall. We had the chips and salsa and for entree the chicken and rice. The salsa and white sauce were runny and tasted okay. The Arroz Con Pollo(chicken and rice) tasted good not great. Drinks, we had Moscow Mules which were great. Desserts- The Tres Leches Cske was amazing. I would recommend this place if you want Mexican food and don't feel like driving the extra miles to better spots in the area. This is my go to mexican spot. Ive been here so many times and have tried something different each time. AND THEY KEEP DELIVERING. I have 0 complaints about this place. I even brought my mexican friends here to get their opinion, and im talking real mexican, not the no sabo kind and they all loved it. They say its authentic, real deal. One even stated it tastes like his mothers cooking. Service is great and the atmosphere is pretty chill as well, no complaints. Delicious lunch- I had never been here and normally went to La Parrilla- no more, now that I know this is here. They have a huge vegan/vegetarian menu, and I ordered the vegan aqua tacos. The food came quickly and hot. The Mrs ordered Bria tacos and the Margarita Flight. And I had the Fajita Del Mar. Both meals were outstanding! The decor was very clean and bright. A modern restaurant with a full bar. Lots of space and a room for larger parties. They have Televisions with sports for the sports fan and just an all-out peaceful atmosphere. Heard/read some good things about this place and was eager to check it out. The look of the place is very modern and I was ready for a exceptionally delicious meal. Now they were very accommodating to let us eat at the patio with our dog even though it was a bit chilly outside. With that being said the wins are cool happy hour, dog on the patio, and their white sauce is pretty on point. I never knew that the whole white sauce thing was a regional only delicacy. Makes sense why I never see it on travel. However, I'm not confident we'll come back. The food was decent. No serious complaints there but for what you get, I'm just not sold on the value to food quality ratio. As I mentioned, the food wasn't "bad" persay, however, you're paying quite a premium for this food and for that premium, the expectations get elevated. Considering the amount of competition for this specific food market, I would've expected my tab to be cheaper. For us: -I had a basic chicken and rice with cheese -wife had burrito bowl -daughter had a mac and cheese -one small beer (happy hour) Total tab - $39 / $47 with tip (it was chilly outside and our server was nice). So basically for that meal, it was just under $50. That's quite lofty in comparison to what's in the area. Like I said, it's a "good" place.. but expect to pay a premium. Solid 3.5 for sure. This place has a sleek and modern look. Not what you would typically expect from a Mexican restaurant. Very clean throughout. I was a bit gobsmacked though that not a single employee was wearing a mask. Something to take into consideration if you are uncomfortable with that, especially if you are only entering to pick up takeout. Everything we ordered was on par and delicious. I ordered the most basic thing on the menu- a beef taco salad. You would be surprised how many restaurants actually mess it up though. This taco salad was on the smaller side but it was quite good. My husband had the San Jose burrito and it was massive. Like close to the size of a newborn baby. I'm still not sure how he managed to eat that thing. read more
