It has been a few years since I updated this review and I have to say that this place is STILL going strong. We have yet to find a place that beats the value and quality of the food here and it's just THAT hard to beat. Our typical go-to is still the burrito chipotle and we've tried other Mexican restaurants in the area and nothing compares. We have no idea what they put in it, but sheesh.. Our daughter is starting to dabble into other things outside the kids menu and we're glad this place is one of our staples of deliciousness. :) Again, if you're looking for a solid place that has delivered consistently - here it is! The line was out the door for Cinco de Mayo but they handled it well! Wait was about 20-30 minutes but once we were seated the service, food and drinks were great! Tacos were filled well and my house margarita was perfect. They kept the chips coming! read more

El Puente has polite and attentive servers, an extensive menu, and a comfortable and clean ambience. The food is a bit higher in quality than other similar restaurants. Be careful as you pull into the parking lot or out of your parking space. Although the lot appears large, the room to maneuver your vehicle is less than ideal. read more

Chips (for cinco de mayo) had red and green artificial coloring which I did not find appetizing or eat. The menus were slid under my elbow - if it's proper service, the menus are there to begin with or they're handed to the patrons. The margaritas are the sweet, weak, watery mix that seems to be the go to for all Mexican restaurants now. The draft Dos Equies lacked carbonation. For being happy hour, a $5 beer was not a deal. $4.95* The manager did not say thanks or make eye contact with us as he walked by us on our walk out. Maybe he was disappointed with my 30% tip. When you walk into El Puente Mexican Grill you get greeted like a long lost cousin. The customer service here was amazing. They are very friendly and polite and always making sure you are filled on your drinks. The inside was nice and clean. I got the taco plate with steak, I was kinda disappointed it tasted bland to me almost like it had no seasoning 3/5 but other than that I really had no other issues. The chips came out hot and fresh. The cheese dip and sauces were really good. I'm going to give this place another try and order something different. read more

I came here on a Wednesday afternoon for lunch. We were sat immediately and the chips and very delicious salsa came out right away. The salsa was so fresh, little spicy and full of flavor. I got the lunch special #9 and my friend got the Pollo Con Queso dip. The dip came out sizzling hot and was so good. The #9 was an enchilada and spinach and chicken quesadilla. We got margaritas which were so fresh. I think it was passion fruit. Not too sweet and huge. They also have a good HH Mon-Thur from 4-7. I definitely want to check that out. This is not Mexican food, when I asked the waiter why did my food look the way it did. He replied it's texmex. That explains why it's so salty and cover led in sauces. Never have I ever eaten slop. I love it here! I am not sure what authentic Mexican food tastes like, but this spot here is pretty on the money. The staff is friendly and there is never a wait to be seated. My husbae and I have dined here twice this year and both times have been great dining experiences. The cocktails are great. I love the chips and salsa too. The tacos are very filling. I can eat two and have a cocktail with a few chips and I'm straight. Parking has never been an issue. The service, on point each time. Now, the air condition, it really works inside! Bring a jacket if you get cold easily. My husband usually loves cold weather, but it was even uncomfy cold for him when we visited last. Have fun and enjoy life :) read more

This is my first time coming here, the restaurant itself is decent size with plenty of seating, and parking. It's off of a busy road so depending on which way you come from it can be difficult to pull out of the restaurant. Inside it's very clean and decorated like most Mexican restaurants. The food was good, I got shrimp nachos and they were good. The service was great no complaints- food came out fast, and was fresh and hot. A few months ago I ate at El Puente. The food was fabulous, the service excellent. Yesterday a friend and I found the salsa too highly spiced. Hot! I asked the server if he could get us something less fiery. He said you don't do that. I ordered the shrimp taco, which I ordered previously. In fact I recommended it to a friend online. After wanting to try it for 2 months after church, but never late enough for their 11:30am opening, we FINALLY tried it today, 12/26/21. Here comes my honest and frank review... It looks small on the outside and the word "grill" in it's name perhaps had me expecting something different. We had 4 in our party, ages 53, 49, 14, and 12. And we were pleasantly surprised once we entered. It was nicely decored, spacious, big roomy booths. Their outdoor patio looked inviting. Their waiting area had plenty of seating. A well thought-out and designed establishment. But of course, none of that means ANYTHING if the food isn't up to par. And so...was it? Starting with the chips and salsa, we agreed they were a notch above what most places give. The chips were extra good and the salsa was extra good. And they included white sauce, which was good. This is worth mentioning, because we have noticed a definite trend the past year, that most Mex restaurants only give white sauce if you ask, and with 2 kids, we always need white sauce. The kids got a lunch combo #8 for the 12yo, #8 for the 14yo. They both report it was very good. The only issue was the 12yo like chicken in his quesadillas, but this was beef and while most places ask your preference, they didn't ask and we assumed, so it's really our oops, but my son still liked it. My wife got the Veracruz dish, which was mahi mahi and shrimp with peppers, spinach, and onions in a cream sauce with Spanish rice. She did like it, but found it overly salty. She ate half and liked it, but gave the remaining half to me, and I really enjoyed it. The mahi and grilled shrimp were cooked perfectly. It was brimming with sauteed peppers, and I ADORE them, so yeah, I like it. It was a little over salted, but certainly within limits and.....yes, good. Lastly, was my Burrito Mexicana. Whoa Nelly! I nearly always get Fajitas at a Mex place, and never had a jumbo Burrito, but today I did. This thing was at least 12" long, 4" wide, and 2.5" deep. Packed full of grilled meat, rice, refry, etc. Covered in 3 colorful sauces, and a good amount of pico/lettuce/sour cream, which is mandatory for any Mex I eat, that gave plenty that lasted the duration of the burrito slaughter. IT WAS AWESOME! Im so glad I tried it. The food came out extra quick. Our server was attentive and kept drinks filled. The host was extra friendly. It was a good experience as we shall be back for sure. I gotta try their fajitas and chili rellanos next. read more

There are several that are outstanding, most all of them are good. this restaurant is the worst for taste. everyone was really nice. it was clean. the iced tea was good. the over use of garlic was a surprise though. the salsa had lots of garlic, the pico had lots of garlic too. the taco seasoning was one that could be used over pasta as an Italian sauce. not that good for tacos. We're new in town and someone recommended this place. We went on a Wednesday evening & were absolutely surprised. Service was fast and good. We got chips and salsa as we sat down! We moved to the area about a year ago, luckily found this restaurant and it's become a regular go-to for our house. Love this place! Always great service, food is awesome. Hardly ever have to wait. We eat here pretty frequently and even order chips and dip / sides to go when we have tacos at home. They do $1 tacos on Monday nights. You can tell there's a lot of regulars that come here. Yelpers for the win, again! Sunday Funday was a "me" day and I was craving shrimp enchiladas and a nice margarita. If you drive too fast, you'll miss the parking lot entrance. Upon entering, the first thing I noticed was how clean, bright and welcoming the restaurant is. I decided to sit at the bar. Something else I noticed and appreciated is that the bar counter wasn't sticky and didn't smell of the typical dirty bucket rag. Win win! I ordered Enchiladas Cozumel and a Sangrita. While waiting for my meal, they served some of the freshest salsa I've tasted in a while. Service, food and drinks were 10/10!!
