Wow! We had an excellent late breakfast. We had the crabcake special with poached eggs over delicious artisan bread. The special offering of a fruit and juice mismo flight of 5 choices accompanied our meal. Our server Juan was outstanding and attentive without being overbearing. He was a very pleasant person. The manager was assisting with service and checking in on the tables to ensure everyone was enjoying themselves. Top notch coverage. Headed out to Egg Bistro, my favorite breakfast spots in Chesapeake. Parking was a breeze on a Sunday morning as they are the only business open in the shopping center. The Staff was Awesome as always and they have a new seasonal menu for winter. I opted to go with the seasonal menu and ordered the Brisket benny; a version of eggs benedict on toasted baguette, topped with brisket slices, poached egg, hollandaise sauce, BBQ sauce, and fried onion straws. I elected to sub my hashbrowns for home fries and DANG glad I did. It was so much food I had to take some home to enjoy later. I will definitely have to get this again! read more

Great quick diner service, with amazing food and rotating specials. The Smoked Brisket benedict was one of their specials and was tasty. The toasted baguette was a little tricky to cut cleanly, so a bit messy, but still delicious. The spicy bloody Mary was perfect. The Country Ham was good, perfectly salted. We are so glad this little gem is near our home! Their menu is super extensive, and also comes with some lighter fare, healthier options. I love that they offer dressed greens (arugula salad with a super good lemon balsamic dressing) as a breakfast side, so you have a low carb alternative when ordering in the morning. This time we had the Alpine, which was a featured/seasonal entree: ham/cheese croissant that came with the greens and red pepper Gouda soup. So much food!!!! (Consider sharing) -parking lot is for the plaza but there are cars constantly in and out. After a small wait we parked with no issues. -no online waitlist. The business should really look into that because their entrance is only so big and they do have benches outside but I mean waiting as you drive is a lot better then to sit and wait after you are already there... -staff was very friendly and accommodating (we had a large party). -large parties do have a 20% gratuity included in the bill. -they have mimosas with fruit purees!!! The food was overall delicious, though our group wasn't too impressed with the house potatoes--nothing major, just something to swap out next time. And that's not because it was bad, my sister loves these biscuits, I prefer mine soft and she likes hers well done All in all another wonderful experience here. I would first like to say that I've been a regular and loyal customer since moving here. The host and the young lady who brought me my order, their service was top tier! My order was promised for 9:52. I showed up at 9:55, only to end up waiting an additional 25 minutes. By the time I finally got my food and drove the three minutes home, it was already cold. Not warm. Not edible. Cold. And let me be clear: I always tip. Every single time, but this is the first time I have ever wished I could take my tip back. The frustration only got worse when I opened the container. My portion was noticeably smaller than what I ALWAYS get. I order this exact meal every visit, so I know what a normal serving looks like. This was borderline disrespectful. Then came the final straw: the potatoes. Hard, undercooked, and still with that unpleasant bite to them. On top of that, they had old black and brown spots--completely unappetizing and something that should never leave a kitchen if anyone is actually checking food quality. When we got there it was about 9am and it was already super packed. Luckily we were able to be seated immediately. The waitress was nice and helpful with the huge menu. I didn't get a cocktail but from the table around they had very nice drinks. The food was good, but I think the best dish by far the blueberry infused pancakes. They were not only huge but also very nice and fluffy. The shrimp and grits were good, but the grits weren't as creamy as I would like them. Overall this was a 4/5! read more

This place is always a hit and you know by the wait time there's always a wait but it's well worth it. The food is always consistently good and the service is always amazing. The waitress is very friendly and the food comes out very fast. Fresh and hot I went for banana bread, French toast, one of my favorites and a side order home fries!! Had never heard of this but when we arrived at 10 on a Friday it was packed! Was able to find an open table on entering and was immediately helped. It doesn't look like much from the outside or the inside, but the food was delicious! Definitely a good, local, less expensive brunch option than others in the area. My daughter had the omelet and allowed me to try it, and it's a must-have on my next visit. The variety of coffee is fantastic for me! I love coffee on the weekends when we dine out for breakfast. The wait time was around 35-40 minutes, but they told us upfront, so it wasn't like we weren't aware. But there's seating outside, or you can wait in your car. read more
