Stopped in for brunch while visiting family. Definitely a busy spot, but we didn't end up waiting very long to be sat. Our server said she was new but she did an excellent job. Orange juice was nice, fresh and cold not too much pulp. Bloody Mary had a good balance of spice but not too spicy. The 2E's Two Step was excellent loved the bacon wrapped asparagus and the hollandaise sauce was excellent. I do wish it was served on the same plate as everything else from the breakfast. The surf and turf benedict was excellent, the steak was cooked perfectly, perfectly poached eggs. There was a lot of other dishes that looked great that I would want to comeback and try. read more

First timer, food was good, service was great. Giuliana was wonderful. Very kind and helpful. I will be back.

Clean, and welcoming. Even when they're slammed (which is often), the staff is efficient and genuinely friendly.

Service food everything was really good. Will continue to go. we went on a Saturday last week and believe it or not we were in and out in an hour and 15 minutes I think that's awesome. read more

Always excellent food and vibes. You won't find a friendlier staff or a better place for brunch with your girls or your family.

Stopped by for a girls brunch this morning! I love when it's not busy you can seat yourself. We arrived around 9am on a Wednesday, by the time we were leaving around 1130 they had gotten a little busier, but still didn't seem to have a much of a wait time! We all got coffees and food. Our server Stephanie was super helpful, attentive & friendly! She made ordering my modifications (no dairy) easy. It's a great environment for girls brunch, birthdays or families! I love the food and drink options as well (next time I'm getting a mimosa). read more

The egg bistro was pretty packed on this Saturday morning but still our wait time was only about 20 minutes which was perfect because we were hungry! Starting out I hit the restroom to wash my hands and red alert, it was disgusting. This was during peak hours but I do believe someone should have popped in to tidy up mid-day. Once I made it to my table, our server Vanessa was polite and offered great recommendations right away. She suggested the "one love" mixed drink which was very pretty and had a nice sweet and perky flavor to it. We also opted for the mimosa flight which had fun flavors like watermelon and pineapple, but my partner felt they were lacking on the champagne side and tasted closer to regular juice than mimosas. For breakfast I opted for the Citrus Cream Crullers, which were topped with sweet crème and fresh fruit (strawberries and blueberries.) The dish also came with eggs that I had scrambled with cheese (very cheesy :) as well as peppered bacon and their home fries which were absolutely delicious. The citrus in the crullers tasted of lime, which was just ok but I feel they would really shine with an orange base. The home fries with onion, peppers, rosemary and garlic were no doubt the star of the show! My partner enjoyed the breakfast chimichanga, which was stuffed with blackened chicken, cheese, their home fries, egg and pico de gallo. It's then fried and topped with chimichurri aioli. Everything about it was delicious except the chimichurri aioli which for some reason had a sour taste to it (try on the side) but none the less we were impressed with them and their menu and grabbed a couple extra dishes to go. In our to go order we grabbed the Steak Bowl which was *perfection* (chimichurri aioli on the side) and the Bennie & the Grits which was excellent. The hollandaise made the dish even more tasty and bonus! it came with another side of potatoes :) Overall this place is worth a visit and we'll be back for sure. Thank you! Update: I enjoyed my leftover crullers cold (straight out of the fridge) and they were superb! read more

I've been here many times but never leave a review... until now! I love this place. Yes, it's usually busy and there's a wait time, but on a week day, the wait is usually not that long. Anyway, I've ordered different dishes off the menu, but my favorite.. absolutely favorite is their Banana Nut Bread French Toast. OMG! So good. The crunch from the pecans, that caramel sauce, that banana bread (I want the recipe!!)..... if I'm ever in prison, and about to be executed, this will be my last meal.. well, maybe with some Laksa, and sushi.. this could be dessert.. I digress. It's that good. Portions are big. The banana nut bread French toast, comes with eggs, potatoes and bacon/turkey links/sausage... easily can be shared or divided into 2 meals. But I'm greedy. I can eat this in one sitting. read more

Popped in here early enough where it was only a 20 minute wait. The message you when your tables ready, so that's nice because you can relax in the car. Our waitress was super awesome (Rachel). Very attentive! The place had its usual buzz with great music playing. I had the North End Bennie which was A LOT! Medium cooked sliced steak on top of yummy bread with perfectly cooked poached eggs and bernaise sauce. Topped with a huge amount of lump crab! It was worth every penny! The Mediterranean salad on the side was a nice light refreshing accompaniment to the pile of protein and carbs!! Kalamata olives, nice spring mix, with fresh cherry tomatoes, a light vinaigrette topped with feta cheese made this a perfect dish. Overall 5 stars due to everything being cooked perfectly and it was nice and hot. My wife had the ham and cheese omelet, which she loved. GREAT brunch spot! read more

Great food and good prices! Friendly service and big portions. Been there twice and no complaints.

Absolutely the best breakfast and dining experience! The food was incredible, and the service was spot on! It reminded me of how eating out used to be, where customer service was a priority and the taste, preparation and presentation of the food was sublime! Be prepared for a busy environment, but you expect that when a restaurant is this good! Highly recommend the Egg Bistro! read more

Dropped by for lunch because we were feeling breakfast food and this place hit the spot. It was pretty busy on a weekday around 12pm but was able to grab a table with a 5 minute wait. The menu is pretty large. Lots of very good items for both breakfast and lunch. I ordered the corned beef with eggs. The corned beef was very good, hardy and house made. My husband got the country fried steak which he devoured so yes, that was good as well. Our waitress was super friendly and checked on us often. The food came out quick and we were done in no time. read more

Food is good and staff are pretty nice. I really enjoyed my time because my family took me and had a good time.

We were feeling eggy. *I wish Yelp would allow half stars because our experience would be a 3.5 instead of 3 stars* To be completely honest, The Egg Bistro was a second brunch option because another local business's wait for brunch was about 50 minutes, but The Egg Bistro's wait was only 20 minutes. I'm the type of person who does not like waiting more than 30 minutes for a table especially if you cannot chill at a bar and grab a couple of cocktails while waiting. I'll start with the good. Our waitress, whose name I cannot remember, was the star of the show. She was friendly, engaging, fast, and funny. Actually, everyone on the staff seemed pretty nice. While the restaurant was packed with customers, the majority of the service staff had smiles on their faces while engaging with the restaurant's patrons. Also (and very important), the ambiance of the restaurant was nice and clean. On to the so-so. For my dining pleasure, I went with the Swanky Benedict. I guess, with the fried chicken, it is a Southern take on Eggs Benedict. While the presentation of the dish was very nice, I found the dish itself to be a bit blah. For my preferences, the chicken was really bland and the eggs were poached too hard. While the food for my brunch was not the best during this visit, it definitely was not the worst that I've had in the area. I have a feeling that I'll return in the future to try some other things from the brunch menu. read more

I'm going to keep this short and sweet. I ordered the Steak Bowl (rare with two over easy eggs) and this was hands-down the best breakfast steak I've ever had. Usually you get some cast-off piece of beef smothered in toppings so that you don't taste the mediocrity. This would've been able to stand alone, but the rest of the components lifted it. Our waitress was fantastic, despite a completely packed restaurant. She was very personable and on-top of everything. The water glasses never went lower than half-full, and the mimosas were on a merry-go-round. The restaurant itself was clean, crisp, bustling, and interesting. The eye was never left lacking. read more

This is a breakfast /brunch dining gem! The restaurant is super cute inside and the menu has something for everyone. They have menu board specials for the day as well as discounts on brunch drinks before 9am. Our server, Kristin C. was super friendly and took great care of us. Our food came up quickly and the service was great. We had an egg breakfast sandwich with sausage and a side of cheese grits. The grits were southern perfect. We also ordered a la cart 2 poached eggs with a side of Avocado and 2 sides of Edward's Sausage. The sausage was grilled perfect and the Avocado was fresh and served in slices. I am glad we found this restaurant and hope to return the next time we are in town. read more

Love this location! Staff is very attentive and upbeat. Order was made perfectly the first time. Monte Cristo is a big portion so bring your appetite. Otherwise it does reheat well. I would recommend extra of the jam that comes on it. Virginian's are serious about breakfast so of course it was busy and loud but isn't that part of the fun going here?! The artwork on the walls have such vibrant colors. Lots to look at while waiting for your food. read more

Food is usually pretty decent, today, not so much. Chicken fried steak tasted like the box it was frozen in, and the hard boiled egg on my wife's avocado toast was boiled to the point the yolk looked like the core of a golf ball (green). Service was great, and the fried eggs, shredded potatoes, and sourdough were fine. read more

When we were stationed here the last time, we used to go to The Egg Bistro often. It was pretty close to our old home. Our first visit back since moving back to the area. Glad to see that they are still dishing out good brekkies and have expanded with multiple locations. We headed out early to beat the Sunday Brunch crowd to grab some breakfast. It wasn't even 9am and the place was packed already, but we were seated pretty quickly (must have gotten one of the last few tables - phew!) - Parking - Center lot - TLC - Our waitress was fantastic! Super friendly and upbeat, made recs when asked and just super attentive. Great with our kids too. I even asked if their Hot Chocolate was made with water or milk (my biggest pet peeve when Hot Chocolate is made with water, like what the heck?! - It's probably my French side LOL, but anyway). She said she could make it with milk and she delivered! Also, other staff members assist with food coming out and other needs. Great team work...because it makes the dream work! ;) - Noms & Sips - Carnitas Burrito with Hash Browns - my husband ordered this one. His go-tos are usually breakfast burritos and he found this one to be ok and the Hash Browns was a bit bland. He really just didn't order right this time, I guess. I felt bad, because mine was BOMB LOL. He kept stealing our kids' cubed potatoes. Those were tasty! Steak Bowl with home fries - I ordered this and thoroughly enjoyed this! This was our waitress' recommendation too, so good call, Lady! The steak was cooked to my preference and the combo of the runny over easy eggs, the perfect steak their version of the Chimichurri sauce and the potatoes (cooked with rosemary, mushrooms and peppers). The portion was huge too. I ended up bringing half of it home to enjoy the next day! It'll be hard to order something else next time. I really liked this one! Hot Chocolate - like I said, the waitress was a doll to even make this with milk for me. I would have just picked something else, but she made it and it's those little extra gestures that I truly appreciate! Thank you, thank you, Lady! - Kids - They have a pretty extensive menu for the little humans! Like I mentioned in previous reviews, I pay close attention to the menus for my littles. I mean, I know little humans are picky little creatures, but don't encourage the behavior more by giving them shitty food! Yes or yes?! They also have lunch options if the littles are not in the mood for breakfast. My kids each ordered the pancakes and they are huge and they draw a smiley face with the whipped cream. The faces on my kids! Priceless and for everything else, there's Mastercard LOL (am I dating myself with that commercial? LOL) Overall, a solid spot for breakfast/brunch! Glad to have it nearby! Just go early on weekends. Early bird gets the worm! Stay safe, Friends! read more

This was my first time at The Egg Bistro! I no longer live in the area but I am looking forward to visiting again to come for another plate! The staff was pretty cool and chill. They were helpful and efficient with taking the orders. Now let's get down to business! The menu had a QR code for the C0vid cootie protection measures, thumbs up for that! The main point is that the food was GOOD and the mimosas were not! The bacon was TH-TH-THICK and peppered to perfection. The eggs were cooked well, not soggy, and not burnt. The french toast was so good I was just eating in silence! Chicken & biscuits were also a hit! The only thing I was not a fan of were the mimosas. They were made with Verdi, which is very sweet tasting. When they were mixed with the fruit syrups it gave the mimosa a very syrupy-sweet taste. Grapefruit and forbidden fruit were the best flavors. Strawberry could've been great if the sparkling wine was not Verdi. Cue music *we coulda been superstarsssss* read more

One of my favorite places for breakfast/brunch when I lived in the 757. They are pretty busy during the weekends, so try to get there ASAP to secure your spot in the wait line. The service is great, a lot of great options for a descent price, and they give you a sufficient amount of food. I love how you can create your own mimosa flight as well. I highly recommend! read more

Dave my man, you sincerely made me and my wife's brunch today a million times better than any other time visiting. The service was wholesome, friendly, and impeccable. The ambiance was rustic and warm and the entire place felt like it was wearing a cool pair of shades on a sunny day. The food was out of this world like usual, chefs always are killing it back there! Will for sure be back and I'm asking for Dave. Loved every second of it. read more

The Egg Bistro - Mary Mary (Why you buggin?) - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Chesapeake, Virginia

I came here with family for a graduation celebratory brunch. Although they do not take reservations they were accommodating. We had a large party 15+ and staff made sure to seat us at tables close to each other. The food and drinks were okay. I ordered the Don (scrabbled eggs, bacon, home fries, and wheat toast). The home fries were a little disappointing and a little on the charred side. I wish they would have added some seasonings, peppers and onions for flavor. For drink I ordered the Jolly Rancher Mimosa. The drink also lacked taste and was watered down. I liked the idea of creating fun flavors for mimosas if they could just perfect the taste. read more

The egg bistro is one of my favorite local restaurants. The mimosa flights is a must EVERYTIME. For 12 dollars you get 4 mimosa flavors of your choice and each glass is about 4 to 5 ounces. My favorites are the Apple orchard, cranberry, passion fruit and strawberry puree. I've never had a bad experience or had food that I didn't like at the egg bistro. My goal is to try everything on the menu!!! Great service all the time . Lots of seating . All the waitresses are nice and efficient. Overall great place. if you go on a weekend be prepared to wait a little bit but grab a drink from the bar while you wait . You won't be disappointed! read more

Wait on weekends always sucks, but can't expect less of a wait when the food is good. We arrived around 11:57 and had a 50 hour wait, but they text you when your table is ready so I tan next door to Walmart to grab a few items and returned to wait. Definitely could use some seats in the waiting area, but not too bad. After being seated the menu was a little overwhelming and hard to read with a glass, but I LOVE the variety of options. Were out of fried green tomatoes. Got the mimosa flight which tasted like juice, but the alcohol was definitely in there and snuck up on me. Food came out but couldn't dive in immediately because we didn't have our spoons and forks and napkins. Had to call on our waitress for it. Other than that, food was great and filling. Check came out and noticed they charged us for strawberries that we never got, but they did remove it from our check. read more
