This is definitely a local's favorite. When we got there it was pretty busy but luckily we were able to get a table. Within minutes of us sitting down, the line was out the door. The place hasn't changed much over the years. Our waitress (Bri) was very friendly and welcoming. She continuously checked on us to ensure we had everything we needed. Considering how busy they were, our food came out in a timely manner. Everything was exactly as we ordered it and it was delicious. I don't frequent this establishment as much as I would like because of the limited vegetarian/vegan options but it's obvious that everyone enjoys it. It's a very relaxed vibe and very family oriented.

The Egg Bistro is located in the Strawbridge Shopping Center in Virginia Beach. The place is easy to see from London Bridge Rd. Since they are in a shopping center, parking is generally available, but they can get filled quickly near the entrance. Additional parking is available across the road in the shopping center with a crosswalk. I hadn't been here for a while, so I wanted to come back for another visit. This visit was on December 26, 2025. My mom and I had gotten here around 8 am. Parking was readily available, and it wasn't too busy inside yet. The outside of the place is easy to see with the large lettering and logo. Since this was still around the holidays, there were snowflakes on the windows. When coming inside, there was a Disney themed holiday display. That was a great touch. We came up to the host stand and they said to just sit where we wanted to. A host came over and gave us menus to start checking things out. Shortly thereafter, our server Grayson came to the table. He asked us what we would want to have for drinks. I decided to go with the Proud Mary since it was half off at that time of day. My mom had gotten a soda. After he came back with the drinks, I asked if there would be a charge to swap the cheeses out, and had to go check. He was able to do it without an upcharge, so I decided to go with the Southwestern Omelet with dressed greens, as I don't normally do potatoes or grits. My mom would go with the Dig In Bowl entree. After about ten minutes or so, the food came out to the table. The food looked really good, and it was definitely hot. The Southwestern Omelet was really good. The ingredients complemented each other very well. This made it a great item for me to have. I will have this again in the future. The funny thing is I had forgotten about the dressed greens, and Grayson brought them over after I had finished the omelet. My mom really liked the Dig In Bowl she had too. Overall, I am glad that I made my way back here. The food and service were on point this time. If you are looking for a place for breakfast, brunch or lunch in this part of the city, this place is worth coming to.

I love a good brunch, and The Egg Bistro was the perfect stop while visiting VA Beach and heading to the Zoo. It's such a cute colorful place, with a long indoor bar, group seating, and outdoor patio. They're known for their mimosas and they were great! I tried a traditional one with orange juice, and spiced it up on the second one with lychee. The food satisfied my cravings. I had a Belgian waffle, scrambled eggs, sausage Pattie's, and shredded hash browns. Everything was fresh and the waffle was nice and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Overall, will definitely come back here on my next VA beach trip. I wish I found them sooner! The service was amazing and they have easy parking in the shopping by center.

Seated, served, and taken care of all by the lovely Miss Cameron. Egg Bistro is the best brunch around. Sit on the patio for half-off mimosas

It was around 11am when we decided to come get some food and we did call ahead for a wait time and they estimated 10-15 min. We got there and unfortunately, it was 35-45min. We were a bit confused per our pre call but yk what. They made up for it because that food was way too guud. The place was poppin forsure, therefore, you would think the service would lag but our waitress was on IT. I think her name was Haley if I recall correctly. She was super sweet. Even the manager/owner came around all the tables to make sure we were taken care of and to say the least, next time I visit my friend, we're coming back!!! thanks egg bistro, I can't wait to try something else off your HUGE menu!

This is a pretty cool breakfast place. The atmosphere and service are very lively. If busy, check the counter for open seats. The Alpine croissant was unique and very tasty. It has ham, caramelized onions and gouda cheese. The southwestern omelette was ok because the chicken was a bit dry. The service was outstanding. Haley was our server and was very nice.

The place is big and has plenty of seating. Our server was friendly and efficient. The country fried steak was super tasty and fried to perfection but my scrambled eggs were a little dry. The Philly omelette was good but could have used more cheese.

It has been a while since I have been to The Egg Bistro since moving to Suffolk. I remember the service use to be memorable and it was nice that some servers would remember us. The whole vibe of restaurant has seemed to change. The service isn't what it used to be. My most recent visit, the server was unaware they had opened up the back of the restaurant, so about 4-5 tables (including my husband and I) were sitting there for about 10 minutes before we saw the server. We ordered our drinks, but you could tell that the server was a bit flustered, which is not a big deal, but she ended up forgetting to take my order, so I politely stopped her before she left the table (it was just 2 of us). After about 30 minutes, my husband's food was delivered to our table and he was waiting for mine to come out so we could eat together. The server checked in on us about 15 minutes later and saw that only 1 order was delivered to our table. At this moment my husband's food was cold and my food was lukewarm. Needless to say, as much as I love half of mimosas, we most likely may be taking a break from this establishment for a while. The 45 minutes it took to get there was not worth the trip at all.

whole banana nut French toast $7.99 (instagram: @issa.cheatday)

Thursday 8/15/2024 I found about this spot last year and became highly intrigued after exploring the menu highlights to discover their banana bread French toast, cronuts, and cinnamon swirl French toast. I made a takeout order via toast and got the whole banana nut French toast $7.99 and the whole cinnamon French toast $7.99. The service was nice and easy but unfortunately I wasn't able to get the Cronuts due to them no longer being on the menu. - The banana nut bread French toast comes with vanilla sauce, caramel sauce, nuts, and bananas. The French was pretty good and I enjoyed the creativity. As a rating, I'd probably give it like a 7.8/10. - The cinnamon swirl French toast was a HUGE disappointment: it was mediocre and the taste & flavor were underwhelming. All in all, the banana nut bread French toast completely carried and saved the experience from being a low rating. I'd definitely recommend the banana nut bread French toast.

I got a blood orange drink that was OK, but I wouldn't get it again. The second drink I got was with Rose and lavender and I would definitely get that again. We love this place. This is our second time going and we will be back!

Our server was Lauryn, and she was great. She was nice and attentive but not worrisome. We had the Wisconsin Cheese Curds along with the house made Sangria. As an entree, I had the whiskey burger with truffle fries. I really liked the cheese curds; they're a lot flavorful than traditional mozzarella sticks. The house made sangria was really good too! We had to stop ourselves from just sucking it down. The burger is where I had the issue. It was a little on the dry side.... Too well done despite asking for medium. It also wasn't seasoned well. The only flavor rally came from the bbq sauce and onion straws. The truffle fries were good though. The menu said they won't best burger of Virginia Beach, and that was made me get a burger. Not the best burger I've ever had. Next time, I will try the pizza and probably go to the Shore drive location since that is closer to my house. Again, the vibe, service, and scenery was worth the drive.. the food not so much.

Our lamb chops weren't originally cooked to the temperature we requested, but the flavor was good and they quickly re-prepared them with no issue, which we appreciated. When I arrived I walked to the back, and it was a cute setup for all our little furry friends to have fun, but for adults and kids to. There were lawn chairs, picnic tables, games, a side for leashed and unleashed dogs, and even a little wet area for the pups. It was also a bar/restaurant where you could eat inside or outside. The dogs aren't allowed in the inside part of the restaurant. The restaurant has hot dogs, sausages, Mac n cheese, burgers, tacos, and etc. The meals are reasonably priced. The hot dogs are thick, so your not getting a wimpy hot dog, it's meaty!! Lol. It might have been too much meat for me almost. You definitely get your money's worth!! The Mac n cheese was pretty good and cheesy, and the portion was great for the price. The fries we ok also. The area is really a vibe. It's chill and everyone is doing their own thing. They even have pup cups!! The dogs all seemed to be having a good time. When you walk in the smell of dogs hits you, but I don't have a dog so maybe that's why it's so strong. If you have a dog you probably won't even notice. Once I got used to that, it was fine. I think this is a fun little place to come wether you have a dog or not. Beer and alcohol are also served. The cocktails seem fun. My friend liked her spicy mango drink. The staff was also friendly! So yeah, check them out!!!!
