Military friendly spot with great beer and amazing food. The lumpia came out piping hit and crunchy. The pork rinds came out still popping. I got the Nashville Hot but I underestimated how spicy it would actually be. Inside has a lot of cool old military tributes, they seem to have a lot of command sponsored events. The burgers are thick, tasty, and perfectly cooked to eachs preference. The PB&J burgers, you get a slightly subtle hint on peanut butter and a nice hint of sweetness from their habanero fig jam, definitely a must for those sweet/salty seekers. I came here for trivia on a Wednesday night, and the trivia they do is a family feud version of trivia. It's different, it's fun! I think I arrived about 10 minutes before trivia started, and all of the tables and most of the bar was full! So definitely get here early if you plan on participating in trivia. A table did happen to open up right before trivia started so I was able to stay with my family and play. I tried the broccoli, which wasn't bland and just steamed. They grilled them, and they had a great crunch, and the perfect level of charring. Very good, highly recommend. I ordered the brownie as well. It was so warm and perfect, topped with the vanilla ice cream. I would say the dessert is large enough to share with at least one other. read more

We have driven by Warriors Taphouse many times but decided to stop in for a quiet lunch on Black Friday. The place was quiet. Overall, the ambiance was nice. There are plenty of TVs for the sports aficionados but they are not blaring. The service was very good. We were greeted promptly and had just the right amount of service without being bothered. Our meal was very good. I ordered a Reuben and I am a Reuben freak.....it has to be made just so....this was one of the best Reubens I ever had and the best so far in the Hampton Roads area.my husband had a jalapeño burger. Always on the hunt for good, craft beer - we found some here. From a flight of 5, then choosing 3 pints of Frogman a piece, we had our fill. My wife had the Brussel Sprout appetizer, said it was delicious. It was chilly this day 42 was the high, we sat on the patio in the sun, with our 3 Labradors who each enjoyed the sunbath afternoon, as we watched fighter jets over head one after the other, quite a spectacle and a treat for us. I love this location is veteran owned and is very welcoming to the military community. Oh what a find. Just a mile from our home, we were always curious as to what this place offered being it was a "Taphouse" as I love me a good craft beer. Goodness does this place hits on all cylinders when it comes to that. Elton (with the rockin beard) was awesome guiding me through the plethora of amazing brews before settling on what I wanted to enjoy. My wife is not huge on craft beers but even she enjoyed the one she had (will return back to her in a moment). The happy hour offers amazing apps and specials but what was also a pleasant surprise was the quality of the food! Elton sold me on a PBJ Burger that doesn't sound that amazing at first but let me tell you, that was probably one of the best burgers I've had in this area or in a long time. I don't remember exactly what was on it but the combination of the perfectly cooked grilled burger, Gouda cheese, fig something, bacon jam, peanut butter on a soft roll... OMG I was blown out. So much so that I referred several people here and returned to try other burgers, apps and main dishes. All of it is amazing on top of a very cool vibe giving respect to our "warriors" with all sorts of cool memorabilia as their ongoing vibe. The location is sort of hidden off of General Booth in the shopping center where One Life is and Bay Local is located but when you add it all up, this location can cover a great time both day and night. Warriors does off a great brunch so don't forget about that as well. I love having fantastic local spots like this and highly recommend a visit! Oh.. funny thing as I remembered to come back to the wife comment. Although she enjoyed the brew she had, she is a budlight fan through and through no matter where we go. When she found out they did have that on the tap (you really need to look for it), she was like "seriously, you had this the entire time"?? Stopped by Warriors Taphouse for a birthday party last Friday and took advantage of their Happy Hour, which was from 4-6pm (Tue-Fri). The cocktails were $2 off the regular price so I ordered the Tito's Strawberry Lemonade and the appetizers were discounted as well so we ordered the Buffalo Wings and Lumpias. Our waitress, Bella, was so sweet and brought out my drink as soon as they made it. The Tito's Strawberry Lemonade was very good! As soon as I finished, I ordered another one lol. The food came out fairly quickly. I wasn't a huge fan of the wings but the lumpia paired with their sweet and spicy sauce was very delicious! With us going around 5pm, it wasn't too large of crowd so we were able to really sit and enjoy without feeling rushed. The outside patio area was spacious and I could see it being a nice area to sit outside and enjoy their food and drinks this Summer. I've been to Warriors Taphouse years ago but I thoroughly enjoyed their Happy Hour and will be returning very soon. read more

I was there on a Sunday morning with about 7 women for brunch. We had awesome service from Logan. You can order off the brunch menu or the regular menu which I was happy about. I personally did not care for the brunch menu but that is personal preference. A few ordered off the brunch menu and I heard no complaints. I got the tacos with blackened shrimp and they were delicious!!! The pineapple salsa was fresh and added just enough sweetness and the cilantro creama was so good. I got 3 for $13. We ordered mimosas and bloody marys for $5. I personally thought a $5 mimosa was a little pricey because you can get bigger ones for less around town. Logan was nice enough to offer us a pitcher of mimosas. We drank it. And he split it on our bill which was awesome. Great service and food. I would definitely go back and would recommend. read more

Menu is a little better than your basic bar and grill. I like that if had multiple salad options and tacos, in addition to burgers and chicken. However, food wasn't great. I ordered a steak salad, steak cooked rare and blue cheese crumble on the side. The steak was closer to medium and there was SO much blue cheese crumble on the salad. Fortunately, it was in huge chunks I could move to the side. It had two types of onions- sautéed and crispy, in addition to sautéed red bell peppers. The crispy were terrible, maybe really overcooked or old and salad components didn't really work. One adult in our group had a dairy allergy. This isn't the kind of place that addresses any of that and server wasn't overly friendly in helping her. The place is a cute bar and grill with multiple TVs playing sports. We like going for happy hour. They have a whole list of specials. The Fig & Goat cheese Lamb burger is our favorite it is sweet, salty and a little spicy. Bratwurst is under handheld. Oh so yummy snd the bun is a pretzel bun. All I can say is everything we have gotten has been too shelf wonderful Warriors craft burger is big and we like to split it. But it is so great you might not want to share. Mushroom and Swiss burger is so full of flavor. My favorite is the fingerling potatoes. They are seasoned and roasted. Has a bit of a outside crisp and so delicious. The hand cut fries are great. I do like a little more salt but try them first before you add it The sautéed Brussels & Bacon is so good. Let me start by saying it's rare for me to give 5 shinning but Warriors Taphouse has knocked it out the ballpark!!! Upon walking in we were greeted and seated with a menu and brought water to start. The menu has anyone one could want and more. Drinks are many and on tap so many I can't even begin to name. However, if you love craft beer I'd recommend getting a flight to sample several beers. Meanwhile add one of their delicious appetizers as we did! I've posted the menu so take a gander and then come on over and have some drinks and food! They are pet friendly whoohoo and they have an outdoor seating area. Please make sure your pet stays on their lease I love when I can take my dog to places however sometimes people allow their dogs to roam hence making places stop due to liability. First impressions walking in, there was no staff ready to seat me making stand and wait. I finally got service after 10 minute of waiting. I put in 3 orders, spinach and artichoke dip, Mac and cheese, and their signature Warrior Craft Burger. The wait wasn't terrible but it did seem a little slow despite how non packed the place was. The food was good though, my only complaint would be how little chips they provided compared to dip, and the strange bacon flavor on both the Mac and cheese and burger. The bacon just didn't taste right. Other than that the service was friendly and also offer veterans discounts. read more

Warrior's Taphouse is located in a shopping center just south of General Booth Blvd. and Dam Neck Rd. in Virginia Beach (across the street from the Food Lion essentially). This place opened in 2015. There is ample parking available in the shopping center where they are located. I've driven past the place many times over the past few years, but never made my way in there. That changed on February 6, 2020 during the 2020 Virginia Beach Restaurant Week. The exterior of the restaurant is very simple in concept. Red, White and Blue, as well as a flagpole with the U.S. flag on it as well. Simple is great when it comes to this. You can easily see them once you come into the shopping center. Once you come inside, you can easily see that this is military themed, which is expected by the nature of this place. On the back of the menu, there is some information about the warriors on the wall (photo included). We were immediately greeted when we came in, and they said we could sit where we wanted. Due to coming in at a non-peak time, it wasn't too busy in here, as there were just a few over at the bar area. We went with a booth towards the back. In less than a minute, our server Logan was at the table. He asked if we had been here before and if we wanted anything to drink. I went with the Dr, Brown's Craft Root Beer for a drink. A few moments later, he was back asking if were ready to order or if we had any questions about the menu. We were ready to order at that time. For the appetizer, we both ordered our own Bavarian Soft Pretzels with beer cheese. I ordered the Chicken Sandwich with fries (pickles on the side). My mom went with the Mac & Cheese, which also included a salad with it. Within a few minutes, the appetizers were at the table. Now the fun begins. While waiting for our food, a nice thunderstorm rolled through with some strong, gusty winds. At that point we watched the staff scramble to get stuff inside because the winds were that strong. The winds were strong enough that they had to lock one of the doors because the winds kept opening the door. The storm didn't last long, but man that rain came down heavy too. Mother Nature at her finest. Shortly after Mother Nature loosened her grip, our entrees came to the table. The food looked really good and was hot. It took a moment to start. It's always great when it comes out hot. The Chicken Sandwich and fries were really good. I would totally get this again when I return. My mom really liked the Mac & Cheese and the salad that came with it as well. Since this was part of the restaurant week, we also got to pick a dessert. We both went with the Cookies and Cream Nightingale Gourmet Ice Cream Sandwich. This was a nice sweet spot to end the meal. Overall, this was a great first experience here. The Bavarian Pretzels were amazing and would totally get them again in the future. It's even better that they are cheaper on the happy hour too. Although the menu isn't large, there really is something for just about everyone here. The food was great too. Service was on point the entire time, even during the weather event. This is a great casual place to come and grab something, while supporting local veterans at the same time. "Killer" nachos were certainly anything but. Decent size portion of nachos, with maybe a spoonful of each topping. After a few bites, the rest are just plain chips... BBQ burger also lacked on toppings - thin slice of cheese, one or two onion petals, and barely a dab of bbq sauce Highlight of the meal (and the only reason the rating was not lower) was the Rueben. Warriors Taphouse is a very good restaurant. There will be a wait for your meal, but the disclaimer is in the menu. The food is worth the wait. It was made fresh and flavored very well. Some of the items are made from beer as it is a taphouse, I didn't try the pancakes (beer battered) (they have brunch options )I did however try their lunch menu items and it was very good! Their alcoholic options are a little pricey but they are pretty strong drinks and shots so you may not need a lot of them. The ambience was nice, they staff worked together and were super nice and accommodating to my large party. I will be back !! read more

Although my fiancé had been one other time, we went for the first time together on Tuesday and have already been back! First night, had an amazing steak salad. And then last night, had the best Reuben ever with delicious Brussels sprouts w/bacon on the side. The staff is super friendly and the owner even stopped by to see how things were. Came on a Friday right after work and it wasn't too crowded. We were greeted right at the front door and sat. The large tables are a bit awkward for small groups, but I can see how they would work for parties of 5 or more. We had a group of 4 and by the time 6:30 rolled around, it was so loud we were raising our voices across the giant tables. The beer selection is extensive, but our server had to go hunt a menu down for us. Sounds like they need to print more menus! Our server was friendly, but the beers took quite a while to arrive. The menu itself was disorganized, with stouts and porters listed under IPAs and Ales. It needed a bit of tweaking. The food menu is concise with just a few options each for apps, soups, salads, sandwiches and entrees. We started with the soft pretzels and hummus. Pretzels looked good (didn't try them) but the hummus was.. interesting.. All 3 varieties tasted way too strongly of citrus and the pita wedges were either really stale or over-toasted. I appreciate the presentation, but it was just too much. Having to dig carrots out of the hummus while trying to avoid getting it on my fingers (we shared with others) was annoying. For entrees, our friends tried the Warrior burger and BLT. Both got good reviews. Hubby had a side of fries, which were fresh cut and tasty. It's obvious that they're new and there are wrinkles that need to be addressed. I look forward to going back and checking out some of their other beer selections. read more

My girlfriends and I dropped in for Sunday Brunch. We walked in and there was 1 couple in there. It was about 11:40AM. The ceiling had a leak and was dripping onto the table. Maybe it was the AC vent? Not sure but they didn't have anything down to catch it. Our waiter was awesome. He was very attentive and nice. I ordered chili and a mimosa. My drink was delicious. You can't go wrong with champagne and orange juice. My chili first came out cold.. it wasn't even luke warm. I told the waiter and he came back with a new chili that was hot this time. The chili was just not the best. I barely ate it. He felt bad and took it off my tab. I really wanted to like it but it was bland.. My friend ordered a pineapple cider but they had ran out. We wanted to order another round of mimosa but he said something about his champagne was messed up so we couldn't, that was our queue to leave. I love the mission statement of this restaurant. As a local of Va Beach, supporting the armed forces and veterans are near and dear to my heart. However this restaurant is a huge disappointment! My chicken sandwich was burnt! It was pretty gross. I tried to talk to a server to get it re-do. But no server came by. And food lacked any seasoning. No refills on drinks.
