Good service. Cold beers. Simple menu but got the job done on a holiday weekend. Plenty of seating space inside and outside.

We stopped by The Comfy Belly for breakfast as a backup. Actually, it was a backup to the backup. However, we realized that we should have gone to the Comfort Belly for our original plans. I will say that the bar/pub/restaurant is very no frills, but the food (at least for breakfast) was pretty decent. Our waitress/bartender was pretty nice and friendly. The only small annoyance was the restaurant did not have quite a few food items during our visit. After handing us the menus, the waitress was like we do not have A, B, C, D, E. Jokingly, I was like maybe it would be easier to tell us what you do have. ;) While folks might be more interested in some of the more fancy dining spots in the area (especially near the beach), The Comfy Belly is a pretty good backup if those places are full or if you cannot find parking.

I checked this place out last month for breakfast and left very underwhelmed. The little dive that serves breakfast, lunch, dinner and caters to a late night drinking live music crowd has been open around three months. Comfy is located on the corner of an. Hampton and Pleasure House. Parking is in the front and side of the business. Not a lot of spaces, bit more than adequate in the morning. I found the lot to be mostly clear of debris. I walked in and felt like I was in a bar, nothing wrong with that. Just giving a heads up that the decor is dive bar dark, bar is on the right side with booths around the perimeter. I ejected to sit at the bar and was quickly greeted by the bartender/waitress. She was friendly and provided a menu. There were a few basics for breakfast, but no stand outs. I decided on the breakfast burrito and coffee. The coffee was in front of me quickly. However, it was below par, but drinkable. A few other customs were at the bar too! A server came in the door to start her shift. She had long dark hair that was soaked as if she just got out of the shower. It was not a professional appearance. My food arrived shortly after, maybe 15 minutes. There was not a lot of flavor, the burrito was pretty average. Possibly was hot sauce etc would have helped. But I don't care for that stuff. While eating the waitress who had just arrived began flipping her hair back and forth coming way too close to my meal and grossing me out. My server did ask how the meal was and provided a refill. Before departing I used the restroom. I found the men's room clean with proper supplies. It actually was nicer than what I would have expected. If I try them again it will be for late night drink and music. 2.5 rounding up. Just not impressed.

Such a great variety. Fresh fruit of all kinds, french toast, waffles and chicken, biscuits and gravy, bacon, sausage , scrabbled eggs, quiche, house potatoes, deviled eggs, and a charcuterie board . On the sweet side they had mini cinnamon rolls, danish, brownies, cookies and cupcakes with the galentine theme. Even though it was a brunch buffet, staff were attentive, friendly and frequently checked on all tables to address any needs or questions. The lovely staff were genuinely happy to take photos for us without any prompting. The flow of the buffet was perfect, and the food presentation was delightfully charming! There was a photo back drop available and the decor was so festive, and classy yet simple. The decor wasn't over the top , it was just the right amount of decorations to add pizzazz and celebrate with festive spirit. We all had a very enjoyable time celebrating Galentine's day! It was a wonderful event in an equally wonderful space. The music was on point, as well as the volume level. It was loud enough to enjoy the music, yet low enough that you could hold a conversation without screaming to hear each other. It was very peaceful and even if you don't choose a booth, the tables on the opposite side of the bar do provide some privacy due to the small partitions. The variety of food offered was just right (not overwhelmingly too many options and not too little options) and the food was tasty. It was an excellent first impression that left me excited to await what other fun events they will hold in the future.

(Sours, stouts etc.) I had the kookaburra beer and it quickly has become one of my favorites. The Grape Gatsby was served only in a can, but was also delicious. I am a big fan of sour beers and this brewery hits the mark. The brewery itself is definitely a more open brewery. There's a quick line on busy days, but the bartenders are quick and efficient and make the line move. The bar itself has picnic table like seating and a huge open area outside, with each table having a QR code for food/beer etc. This last time, I had the pimento grilled cheese, with tomato soup and it's the perfect snack for a winter day. When heading towards the bathroom, there was a huge chalkboard of posted events coming up as well as another section for events. I really do like a brewery that has events in the area to make people come and visit and it gives people a chance to experience cool events in the area while having a familiar place to go afterwards or before. I Came here for coffee one morning, and the coffee as well was excellent. I enjoyed the 007 which is a shaken espresso, Highly recommend! They also have pastries, we got the blueberry scone, chocolate chip scone and the cheese danish. All were great and tasted fresh. Not what you would expect from a brewery in the morning, but it was well worth the trip. The brewery itself was at a low volume and had great sunlight peeking through for a great coffee in the morning. Parking was a bit rough when it was busy on a Saturday afternoon, but there was a separate lot if you can't find parking in the main one. Honestly, I wouldn't pay that again for the portion of food you're getting. For food at this price point, I think there's better places. Meh, despite the good food and the convenient location (this Lendy's is much closer to me than…read moretheir General Booth location), the service - particularly the understaffing, is a problem. With Misako closed until mid-October (the owners are on a much-deserved vacation), this was an excellent opportunity to try out this Lendy's. Upon arrival, they were setting up for karaoke night (Tuesdays) and there were a few regulars already seated at the bar. This Lendy's appeared bigger than Anchor Allie's that was previously here. It's more spacious - full of games, TV's and the like. I decided to sit at the bar where I was greeted by their bartender, Courtney. Courtney was nice enough, but she was battling a neck injury which, I later learned, was the result of her, "falling down the stairs." That sucks, and she toughed it out simply by showing up for work. I remained patient throughout, but I was left to wonder what caused her to fall down the stairs. Anyways, Courtney took my drink order - Coke and a bottle of Bud Light. I received the Coke almost immediately, but after a few minutes she remembered the beer. She apologized, but it was all good since I was still looking at the menu (the long wait for the beer did factor into me not ordering another round, though). I eventually ordered a dozen wings and potato skins, and proceeded to relax and wait. In the meantime, that's when I noticed Courtney was the only person working the FOH, while the kitchen had one dude doing all the cooking (he was also the food runner). The food took a little time, but actually came out sooner than I anticipated. I chose garlic parm wings, and they were just as good as the wings I've had at the original Lendy's. The potato skins were also excellent, although the cheese could've been melted more. Regardless, the food remained the high point of my visit. I didn't finish either item, so I asked for a togo box and my tab at the same time. This is where my visit became an extended stay as Courtney continued to place me at the back of the line. Courtney took about five minutes to give me a togo box. She gave it to me without my tab, which meant I had to wait again for her to get that to me. In the meantime, she had to knock out orders for the other customers, then had to turn around and take an order for a big party who sat down behind me. The wait was understandable, but I did become antsy. After all that, Courtney gave me my tab, and I plopped down my card immediately so she'd know I was ready to get out of there. The check and my card sat at the edge of the bar for a few minutes before she came back for it. When she did, she ran my card, then proceeded to pour drinks for customers while waiting for the machine to print my receipt. I began to take issue when she stopped to chat with the regulars at the bar as if they were the only people in the restaurant. That lasted a good 5 minutes, then she proceeded to ignore me when one patron from the big party walked up to the bar to ask her for something. At this point, I finally blurted out, "May I have my check? PLEASE?" She had a look on her face that said, "S**t, I forgot," while I gave back a stare similar to Ice Cube in Friday when he said, "Bye, Felicia." Courtney ripped the receipt from that machine, gave that & returned my card, then quickly muttered, "Thank you for your patience." I was ready to turn into a-hole Justin and then gtfo there, but I said nothing, signed my receipt and proceeded to get the hell out. The real issue with this Lendy's is understaffing. My visit was a combination of events - dinner service, happy hour, and karaoke night. How are you not staffed for that? I could tell Courtney knows what's up, but leaving her alone (with just one cook) while working injured obviously resulted in subpar service. At the same time, taking extended time to chat with regulars pissed me off because I was obviously not important enough to receive the same attention. Lendy's, your food is good. But running understaffed and providing inconsistent service is garbage. I want to evenly split my visits to this shopping center between Misako, Lendy's, and Mommy Mom, but omitting Lendy's as a viable option has become easier after this visit. I'll give Lendy's another shot down the line, but if there's only 1 FOH person again when that day comes, I'm walking out. JV
