    Cheese steak

I ordered a cheese steak with fries and buffalo cauliflower. The cheese steak meat was tender. The flavor was good, and I'd get it again. The buffalo cauliflower were a little on the spicy side, but they were good to. They come with ranch. The customer service was good and the restaurant was clean. There's plenty of parking out front. They can get crowded at times. But I like what I've had there so far. Check them out. ( I forgot to take pics, so the food is almost gone at this point)

Eggs Benedict and breakfast tacos we're amazing. So flavorful and really delicious.

From out of state just Visiting my daughter picked this place to dine and we were not disappointed. The food, drinks, and service were superb. What a great place to experience just Wish there was one back home in Ohio. When we come to visit we know where to go for our breakfast spot. The menu has vegetarian and gluten free options as well.

This is my second review but my third time visiting this restaurant and I have no complaints. The food was amazing and the service was great! A great brunch spot!

The customer service from the hostess to the waitress was good. Expect to wait about 20-30 minutes for groups or 2 or more on the weekend. The food was amazing. The French toast was soft yet the edges were not soggy. The coffee tasted good and you get free refills. My friend ordered the mimosa flight and said it was good. It was a busy Saturday afternoon, however the food did not take long to come out. Everyone seemed happy. It's a nice size restaurant.

I love coming here whenever I'm in the mood for breakfast or brunch. This has been one of the most consistent restaurants I've dined at over the years when it comes to quality food, great service, and a welcoming vibe. The Half Cinnamon Swirl French Toast was absolutely perfect. Soft, sweet, and full of warm cinnamon flavor. I've tried a few of their CYO Omelets, and every single one has been flavorful, fresh, and perfectly cooked. Whether I keep it simple or go all out, the quality is always there. The Meat Lovers Omelet is a standout. Hearty, well-balanced, packed with flavor and easily one of the best I've had. The Belgian Waffle was slightly crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside. Exactly how a waffle should be, absolutely delicious. The cubed hash browns are decent, and the biscuit is always served warm, soft, and buttery. My go-to drink is a Hot Latte with white chocolate mocha and caramel macchiato. It's always made to perfection; smooth, rich, and consistently delicious. The prices are fair, and the portions are more than satisfying. I also love the cool art and vibrant atmosphere. It adds to the overall experience. The service is always excellent , friendly and attentive every time. Overall, this place never disappoints and remains one of my favorite breakfast spots.

I was in need of breakfast. I was seated in a booth and I had ordered my coffee. The menu has a lot of chooses. I ordered the folded eggs, chicken and biscuit with the sausage gravy on the side. The sandwich was delicious and the hash brown was good. When my meal arrived it was nice and hot. The waitress was timely. Most of the seating was taken and the atmosphere was pleasant.

What a nice little gem! Needed breakfast badly! The food was pretty top notch and it seemed fairly busy. Our waitress was super nice and gave us a run down of the menu items and specials. Everything felt really clean and fresh. Would def come back to sample some of their other items.

In town for college volleyball game and were looking for a breakfast spot. Hit the jackpot with the Egg Bistro. Had about a 15 minutes wait to be seated, but it was absolutely worth it. Adorable diner like restaurant with bright colors and murals of Virginia Beach. Our server, Trish, was so down to earth, took the time to go over the specials and answer any questions. Our coffee mug was never empty and the coffee was incredibly delicious. I got the crab cake eggs Benedict as Trish recommended and it was phenomenal. My husband got the meat lovers omelette and he loved it. The grits were totally on point. Will absolutely come to the Egg Bistro next time we are in town.

I recently moved to the VA. Beach area and I've been on the hunt during my Doordashing for my new "goto" spots. I've picked up and delivered 2x and both times this establishment was brimming with activity, so I decided, I needed to pay a visit. The Egg Bistro has definitely made the cut!!! I asked the waiter Jay, if he would encourage the cook to put his whole foot in my corned beef hash, let me tell you something, that cook broke off a leg with the foot attached!!! The fresh corned beef first passed the test because it wasn't canned, and second because it was cooked with onion and served like someone in the kitchen cared!!! Jay gave impeccably impressive service, I'm hoping he becomes a manager sometime soon because his customer service skills and attention to detail were on point. He is a bright addition to the bright warm and welcoming atmosphere of the restaurant. Reasonable pricing, the food is excellent and the service even better!! EGG BISTRO I WILL BE BACK!!!

Pancake One-good, just too thin for my liking

First timer and enjoyed it all! Pros: Service: From the hostess to our waitress as well as the manager who stopped by to make sure we were having a good meal/experience, we had great service. Food: Since it was our first time I got a few different sides to sample that included grits, shredded hash browns, banana bread French toast, pancake and chili. All were good but the standouts were the banana bread French toast and the chili! The pancake was a little on the thin side, my preference is a little more fluffy but it was still tasty. Husband got the fried breakfast chimichanga with chorizo and loved it! Drink: I got the "mimosa" flight and it was delicious! I asked if they could sub sprite because I'm not a big drinker and our server went and asked and they did. She also gave great suggestions on what fruit and juice pairing. Ambiance: A mixture of booths and tables and even some seats at the bar. There is an outdoor patio area too. Lots of Dave Matthews posters along one wall and the place has a nice vibe. It gets crowded but understandable with such yummy food and good service. Cons: More of a personal preference but empty glasses and plates were not cleared off the table till we had to ask. Made it sort of crowded!

Ask the Community - The Egg Bistro

Hi. I see there's a Peanut Butter Coffee in the pictures here. I don't see it on the menu. I asked for it yesterday, I was told it might be at another location. I haven't seen it on either of the menus. Is this an actual option to order or no?

There was a photo back drop available and the decor was so festive, and classy yet simple. The decor wasn't over the top , it was just the right amount of decorations to add pizzazz and celebrate with festive spirit. We all had a very enjoyable time celebrating Galentine's day! It was a wonderful event in an equally wonderful space. The music was on point, as well as the volume level. It was loud enough to enjoy the music, yet low enough that you could hold a conversation without screaming to hear each other. It was very peaceful and even if you don't choose a booth, the tables on the opposite side of the bar do provide some privacy due to the small partitions. The variety of food offered was just right (not overwhelmingly too many options and not too little options) and the food was tasty. It was an excellent first impression that left me excited to await what other fun events they will hold in the future.

With it being a Friday night, we were hoping it wasn't too busy and thankfully, it wasn't. We sat at a table near the music and it was a bit loud but they did turn it down, which we thought was nice. The Gummy Bear Martini is one of my favorites so I started with that. Since they had a special menu, we wanted to try some of the new items. I ordered the Gumbo and we decided to share the Beef Empanadas. We also ordered the Bourbon Bacon Meatballs, which we love. The food was served pretty quickly. Unfortunately, I wasn't a fan of the Gumbo! It had a peculiar taste that I couldn't quite pinpoint. The Beef Empanadas weren't bad but could've been seasoned better, I enjoyed the chutney on top. The Bourbon Bacon Meatballs weren't a hit this time, which was disappointing. We remembered them being more saucy and flavorful, but they tasted like the frozen meatballs from the store with some sauce on top. Very underwhelming. I grabbed the Bee Sting, which consisted of honey habanero moonshine, lemon juice and simple syrup and I loved it. We also ended the night with Espresso Martinis. Overall, the food just didn't hit the mark this time but the drinks were great as always. My friend even had them customize a drink for her and it turned out very good. Our server was absolutely amazing though! She was personable and made our experience very enjoyable. I'm sure we'll return because it's one of our favorite spots but I hope we have a better food experience next time.

You order and pay via QR code right from the table, which is very efficient and honestly should be the standard everywhere at this point. I ordered the chicken tacos, fries, and a blackberry mojito. The drink was excellent. Really refreshing and well balanced. The tacos were good too, although I've had them here before and the chicken was noticeably a little dry this time, which isn't usually the case. Still good overall, just not quite at the level I've had here before. The fries were... fries. They did exactly what fries are supposed to do. Another plus: there's a water station near the kitchen where you can grab your own water whenever you want. Small thing, but convenient. The big issue for me was the live music. There was a band playing covers and they were decent, but it was unbelievably loud. Like "lean directly into the person next to you and yell your sentence twice" loud. If you're coming to drink beer and vibe with loud music, you'll probably love it. If you're hoping to have an actual conversation with the people you came with, it's a bit of a challenge. Overall still a solid spot for drinks and casual food, but next time I might check if there's a live band scheduled before I go.

I walked in on 12/3/25 with excitement and anticipation. Boujiee is a tiny place - they could easily be mistaken for a simple bar. Their interior, though, looks modern, organized and clean. Plus, it's well-lit, so it definitely doesn't have that dark look and feel of a bar. Upon entry, a server quickly greeted me and told me I could sit anywhere. She was kind and helpful, and immediately knew it was my first visit. When I confirmed that notion, she proceeded to give me a rundown of the entire menu. She didn't have to do that, but I felt like ordering everything afterwards because everything sounded amazing, haha. I settled on a soda (which they sell in bottles), a couple of bottled beers, the Dougie Fair Dog and Corned Beef Fries. Boujiee's glizzys are meals - each item on their menu is full of ingredients and toppings. Normally, I can devour 2 hot dogs in a single sitting, but at Boujiee you better be hungry to finish off 2 or more. The Dougie Fair includes spicy Polish sausage, grilled peppers, onions, melted cheddar and mustard, all on a hoagie bun. Dougie had some kick, so it wasn't super spicy, but I definitely enjoyed this item. I also had the Corned Beef Fries (crinkle fries, corned beef hash, cheddar, fried egg) which was as hearty as it was delicious. I was barely able to finish them both, but they were so good I almost had to. Based on this visit alone, Boujiee Dogs is a five-star food spot. Along with the impeccable service, this may become a part of my food spot rotation. I look forward to many future visits. Thank you, Boujiee Dogs! JV

On the other hand I like to try something new or different. I got the Spicy Sisig (I know others server this) and this was a new entrée for me. The pork belly was cooked absolutely fantastic, but prep yourself for chili vinegar!!! . In my opinion they have best homemade Kimchi!!! Definitely give this place a try when you want that taste of Hawaii!

Luckily, there was no wait this time and there were some tables open when we arrived. It's actually kind of small on the inside so I def see how the place fills up often. We started with the Spam Musubi (6/10) big chunk of rice and a small sliver of spam, wasn't a fan of that. The Skewered Chicken (9/10) was fresh and hot and a decent amount to share. For our first round of drinks we had the Swizzle (10/10) strong and yummy and the Blue Hawaiian (8.5/10) it was sweet and tasty, not too strong. We also tried the Blackened Mahi Mahi Tacos (4/10) they were dry and even after I asked for extra sauce, I still wasn't satisfied. Either the fish, the slaw, or the sauce had a weird tangy after taste! On the side I had some Macaroni Salad (10/10) that was yummy for sure! Second round of drinks we had another Swizzle and a Tiki Island (9/10). Overall, I loved the vibe and atmosphere of the place. It's great for date night, but I wouldn't come back for the food. I was def left disappointed. I would; however, totally come back for drinks. I saw they have live band nights, I'd love to come back and see how that is. My overall rate of experience : 8/10

We made a special trip to Rustic Spoon for my husband's birthday because their website listed…read morescotch eggs, which was something he'd been craving forever and that we hadn't been able to find anywhere around town. It happened to be Restaurant Week, which made us a little nervous, but it ended up being totally fine. The dining room never felt overly crowded, the noise level was comfortable, and having the Restaurant Week prix fixe, drink specials, and regular menu all available gave us plenty of options without feeling overwhelming. One small note: the plastic logo cups served with the water decanter felt a little out of place. They were a bit sharp on the lips and didn't quite match the rest of the dining experience. Minor detail, but noticeable. The drinks, however, were excellent. On our server's recommendation, my husband ordered the Gingerbread Old Fashioned and I had the Salted Caramel Martini. Both were seasonal specials and both were fantastic. When we asked about the scotch eggs, our server explained they're normally a brunch-only item. We were a little disappointed (and may have made a few pouty faces while explaining we'd come specifically for them for his birthday), but we quickly let it go, it obviously wasn't her fault. What we didn't realize was that she went back and told the kitchen manager that it was his birthday and that we'd made the trip just for those scotch eggs. Since the kitchen wasn't slammed, they decided to make them anyway and surprised us with an order. We were honestly floored. My husband was thrilled. That kind of thoughtfulness is rare. And the scotch eggs were exactly what he'd been hoping for! They were crispy on the outside with a rich, savory center. For entrées, his Nashville Hot Chicken was juicy with the perfect amount of heat without being overwhelming. My Haystack Burger was stacked and delicious, though the BBQ sauce was strong enough to overshadow the pickled green tomato a bit. The fries were fantastic - crispy, battered, and perfect from first bite to last. Our server checked in at all the right times and kept drinks refilled without us needing to ask. The fact that she went out of her way to do something special during one of the busiest weeks on a restaurant's calendar says a lot about both her and the restaurant. Rustic Spoon is the kind of place that works just as well for a casual date night as it does for a birthday dinner or a night out with friends.

Upon seating, our waitress Faith came, introduced herself, and took our order drinks while we look over the menu. We decided both brunch & lunch. In a short wait everything came out hot. Overall the service was great, food delicious & great for group casual dining.
