We are traveling to VA beach and wanted some good food, so we decided to travel away from the beach for this place. We put our name on the list, but they forgot about us and sat people before despite us being on the list. Our food food took over an hour and the order was wrong. Our waiter was AMAZING! So sweet and great suggestion! She noticed the food was wrong but she didn't want our food to get cold, so she still gave it to us. I could tell she was overwhelmed, but every time she spoke to us she smiled and was very pleasant! Overall, the food was good, but not memorable. I think it was overpriced for the taste. Breakfast Bar Hispanic Fusion is located in the Lynnhaven North Shopping Center in Virginia Beach. I've seen the area where the business is in the past, but never made the stop there. My mom and I decided to try this place out since our regular Sunday breakfast spot was closed that day. The visit here was on April 5, 2026. This restaurant was pretty easy to find once we came into the shopping center. There are quite a few businesses along the stretch this restaurant is located at. When you first come up, you can see the darker colors on the outside of the business. There were also a few info boards in front of the limited outdoor seating available. It was pretty early in the morning, so it wasn't too busy yet when we came in, though when we were done, it was much busier. There is quite a bit of indoor seating available. The overall theme inside does have a breakfast type of vibe to it as well. We were immediately greeted and seated when we came in. Our server Anna was pretty quick to come to the table and introduce herself. We weren't ready to choose what we wanted to eat or drink yet as we had really just gotten seated, but she gave us a few moments and then we were ready to order drinks. My mom went with coffee, but I figured I would try their Bloody Mary. She was good about checking the age too. After the drinks came out, we were then ready to order the breakfast courses. I decided to go with the Mallorca French Toast entree with coconut syrup and Argentinian Chorizo as the protein. My mom decided to go with the Scrambled Eggs (Two Eggs) with crispy bacon, white toast, and breakfast fries. While waiting for the food to come out, I tried the Bloody Mary, which was very good. It wasn't too spicy, which is the way I prefer to have it. The flavor combination was good for that. After ordering, the food came out about ten minutes later, which is about the time I would expect with the order we had. The Mallorca French Toast looked really good. My mom's order looked good too. The Mallorca French Toast was quite the indulgence. This was the first time I had had that type of bread. The bread was soft, fluffy, and easy on the mouth too. The coconut syrup was a great complement to it, as I normally don't do syrups due to the sugar content. I knew this meal would likely spike my glucose, and it did, though not as high as I thought it might have gotten to. The Argentinian Chorizo was really good too and had a great flavor to it. I would definitely do that as a protein on future visits too, as you don't see that everywhere like you do bacon. Our server was great about checking in on us and asking if we had any questions or issues. Overall, this was a very good first experience coming here. The food, service, and such were great. I want to note that there wasn't a surcharge for using a credit card as of the time of this visit. Since their menu has lunch type items too, I would come back and try some of those items in the future. Today is May 23 we are visiting from Dallas Tx my husband brought me here for a birthday breakfast to kick off the day. Our thoughts: Service: there was a breakdown in communication we requested to be seated outside and no one was assigned to take our order. So we had to go fetch someone to be serviced. They apologized. We were waiting to receive a steak knife to cut our fried chicken they forgot to bring that. Our server was very informative when asked about the restaurant concept and menu. She and the person she was training were very friendly. Food: we applaud the concept and the risk to infuse various cultures into the menu. Portion size for a $5 side of home fries was disappointing we are thinking it was maybe a half of a potato. The menu is diverse and the price point isn't bad. Ambiance: ok, we sat outside. Found this lovely place on Yelp and because it was so close to where I live I decided to give it a try. When I got there I was rethinking my choice but only because it looked closed down because their outdoor space is not yet set up. Luckily for me I parked and went in. It's a nice size space with like 10+ tables. Everything was clean and they had Spanish music playing. When I got there, there were only two other diners but within 15 to 20 minutes they were packed. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We ordered the all meet omelette(my husband), the sweet and creamy pancakes (me), the Spanish potatoes and a Mallorca, and two churros. Everything was delicious and the food is made to order. Make sure you have time to wait for your piping hot food. Sophia and I drove to Virginia Beach to eat breakfast at this little spot tucked away at the Lynnhaven North Shopping Center. They actually appeared on Channel 13 for their Friday Flavor segment just recently. An Economics Professor from Tidewater Community College opened the restaurant in the summer of 2024 bringing her Latin culture to breakfast and lunch dishes. Let's see how the visit went. We were greeted upon walking inside. The decor is beautiful and well kept. At the time we came, there was only one table occupied by 4 people who seemed to enjoy their selections. A few more came after us but it wasn't packed at all. After a few minutes of looking over the menu, we were ready to order. My selection was their omelet with Argentine sausage as the protein with home fries and dipping sauce (a mix of ketchup and mayo) and Mallorca bread (which is $2 extra for the meal). Overall, my dish was good. I don't remember if I had Argentine sausage in the past, but it was a wise choice along with veggies cooked inside. Their home fries were good, and the dipping sauce was fine, but I would've loved to have a bit more spice included (just my preference). The Mallorca bread which I've never had before was fine, but it was toasted a bit too hard. My only brief suggestion for the restaurant is to have the chairs wider. I was surprisingly fine seated, but Sophia wasn't comfortable based on how it was curved. Based on how it was designed, it's for folks on the smaller side. I'm sure they can improve on that. Random Thursday morning breakfast trip decided to try the Breakfast Bar. Service was excellent. Seated right away, received fresh brewed coffee. I tried the eggs Benedict and my wife tried a simple breakfast of eggs, potatoes toast and turkey sausage. My Eggs Benedict was not great. Kind of boring hollandaise sauce. Mixture of sweet bread, lettuce, turkey sausage was just ok. Potato cubes were good. Wife's breakfast was not too hard to mess up. She liked the what she ordered. For an almost $60 breakfast for 2 would have expected more. In fairness, another table ordered pancakes and I definitely had entree envy. They smelled great and they devoured them quite quickly. Quick little breakfast date before shopping and this was a last minute decision, but it did not disappoint! We were warmly welcomed upon arrival and seated immediately. We ordered - Chicharron - Seasoned to absolute perfection and topped with the lime , made for each bite exploding with flavor. And they definitely deliver on everything walking in we were greeted very fast and friendly with no wait especially on Sunday this was definitely the first brunch spot we been to where there was no wait on a Sunday . The atmosphere in is your classic brunch spot with all the vibrant vibes our servers who guided us through there drink menu where they had a variety of both mimosa and sangria she recommended the sangrias we tried the mango-guava and piña colada and than the Jamaican-pineapple all were delicious and well balanced of sweetness and fruity. We got our food recommendation from the owner herself super sweet and very fun to get to know the origin of some of the menu items that was definitely a good way to start the morning with. I tried their waffle and Argentina sausage and egg empanadas with Argentina sausage very good in flavor and new twist to the traditional brunch with some Hispanic style foods. A friend and I decided to try the Breakfast Bar for a her birthday. We arrived around 10am on a Sunday and since the restaurant only had 7-8 tables, we did have to wait 15 minutes to be seated. The hostess did mention that we could sit outside but the weather was a bit chilly so we opted to wait for indoor seating. Our server greeted us as soon as we were seated and informed us of their popular items and items that weren't on the menu. Since we love espresso martinis, we were hoping to be able to order one but they have very limited alcohol drink options, they only offer mimosas and wines. After looking over the menu, we decided on the Birria Eggroll, Mallorca French Toast and a Ham Omelet with Mallorca Toast. Our server was very nice but she checked on us quite often while we waited for our food which was a bit much lol. It took about 40 minutes for us to receive our food and received the Birria Eggroll (which was the appetizer) 10 mins later. We're not sure why it took so long but the food was pretty decent. The Mallorca French Toast was my favorite, it didn't even need syrup. The Ham Omelet wasn't bad but they used deli style ham and I wasn't a fan. The Mallorca Toast was different. I didn't care for it with the omelet but I'm sure it tastes great on a sandwich. We weren't fans of the Birria Eggroll. The beef was very scarce and dry and it didn't pair well with the spicy cream sauce. The server mentioned that they were expanding the restaurant which is a great idea. If you have nothing better to do on a Saturday or Sunday, but spend a few hours with the restaurant then by all means stop by, but if you're in a rush to go somewhere and want to get your day started and have something to eat, I would suggest you go somewhere else. Apparently the one on Instagram is a totally different location even though it said Virginia Beach so right from the gate it got off to a wrong start because they didn't have a very big cocktail menu like the one on Instagram. The place is very small, maybe five or six tables. They had more help than they did tables but the service was very, very slow. We ordered what they would consider an appetizer that never made it to the table till almost the end of our meal. We were both very hungry and didn't order anything very difficult so we thought, but it took us over an hour and 20 minutes to get our food by the time our appetizer made it to the table we were almost done and pretty much over the whole experience, the appetizer and the description sounded amazing, but it did not live up to its hype. The appetizer was Birra eggroll, which had no flavor and not what you expected at all if you know what a birra taco is. Unfortunately, the food was just average. I probably would not recommend going back. The woman inform us that they were going to be expanding soon which me and my friend thought it was kind of odd because they really couldn't even handle the small space that they currently have. So again, if you have nothing better to do for a couple hours and want it to have some food at a local place and by all means go, but I'm sorry on a Saturday or Sunday. "This table sucks." This was really nice to hear as we were leaving. This place was very busy! The reviews on Google and Yelp led us here. There isn't really a great place to check in. You could tell that this place was recently remodeled. Half of the cooking prep area was painted and the other half just looked rough. We ordered drinks, some got their drinks, some didn't. There were three people serving. Two attempted to serve, the other person walked around and occasionally did something. I had to serve myself when it came to the drinks. This was awkward. We knew it was going to take a while given that all tables were taken, and not a single table had food. It took more than 20 minutes to place our order and more than 45 minutes to receive it. The food was okay, I wouldn't come back here though. It wasn't worth the time, energy, or frustration. The bathroom door did not lock so this was fun. This place needs: some TLC. If you've spent the money to renovate this place, follow through and finish it. Leaving it halfway renovated...not a good look. This place needs some management of some kind. He gave us the option of him going over their most popular dishes or just giving us time to look over the menu for ourselves. We decided to let him make some recommendations, and they were spot on! The corn beef hash empanadas were out of this world good! I am not sure what they do to their hash, but it isn't just hash out of a can! We also had the pastellitos eggroll - also very goo! The empanada and eggroll were big enough for 2 to share. As an entree we got the breakfast platter that come with 2 or 3 eggs, breakfast fries, pancake or waffle, and your choice of protein. If you add the Argentinian sausage as your protein choice, just know it comes scrambled into the eggs. We got the option of adding tomatoes, peppers, onions and cheese to our eggs which was a great addition! I chose the sweet potato pancakes and they were SO good. Also tried their coconut syrup, but to me, it didn't seem any different from the regular syrup. The portion sizes were big. Honestly, 2 people could've shared the one meal. My ONLY complain was that we came in a day it was an unusual 70 degrees in January, and the restaurant was uncomfortably warm. I had to pull out my fan. On the door is a sign that says, "Come Inside, You Are Family." On seeing that, I knew I'd found something special. My server, Barbara, was smiling and generous and welcoming, and made sure my every need was met. My coffee was always topped off and she made sure what I had ordered came out one thing at a time, so each thing would be piping hot and just right as I dug in. So let's get to it! I had a cup of their Galacian Broth, which I could eat all day long, every day. So delicious, satisfying, and hearty. Next was the Mallorca Bread with Argentine Chorizo Gravy. Imagine biscuits and sausage gravy taken to a whole new level. SUBLIME. Then? Then, friends, came the Cuban egg roll (the thing I came here for). It's what would happen if you took a Cubano (that glorious sandwich on egg bread with its succulent pork, mustard, and pickles), rolled it up, and fried it. It was so good, I took two home to Philly with me. I was able to chat with the owner, Marilyn, who told me Breakfast Bar has only been open for three months and they are already expanding into the space next door. This is the first Hispanic fusion brunch place I've been to and it is absolutely amazing. Definitely our favorite breakfast place in the area. The Mallorca break is to die for. We've been here 3 or 4 times and it has been amazing every time. I highly recommend the eggs Benedict with the Argentinian sausage or the French toast. She's very knowledgeable of the menu and was happy to take time and explain the menu items. This Restaurant has been on our hit list for a while, so I'm so happy that we found time to drop in. Definitely will be on our list of places to frequent. It was really hard to decide what to order. Because we wanted to embrace the Hispanic flavors. Normally, we don't get an appetizer for breakfast, but we went ahead and got the Cuban eggroll. Absolutely delicious. My husband got a traditional chicken and waffle. And I got the sweet potato waffle with a fried pork chop. They had three different syrups to pick from. One was sweet and spicy, traditional and coconut. We went with the coconut syrup and it was to die for. So many things on the menu that I want to go back and try. If you're in the neighborhood or feel like taking a little drive ,be sure to drop in. This was our first visit to this establishment on 6/24/25. I found this place last week while searching a breakfast place after a doctors appt. to find out they were close due to construction. Well today my sister and I decided to try the spot out. The ambiance was nice , decor was inviting, friendly environment. As far as the service it 8/10 the young lady that welcomed us was very nice at first and very attentive and after the food was served we didn't hear back from her. The establishment was not busy at the time but it seemed as though she was busy with a business meeting. We both ordered simple breakfast which consist of eggs, Argentine sausage , cube potatoes which on their menu are referred to as home fries and they are not home fries and Mallorca toast. The food 7/10 our eggs were suppose to be over medium and they were over well very hard , the sausage tasty but could have been cooked a bit more, the coffee was a typical American coffee which we thought being that it was a Hispanic Fusion restaurant that it would be cafe con leche. Being that the name is Breakfast Bar Hispanic Fusion we were expecting more of the Hispanic- Latin dishes .Over all experience we give it 7/10 we had high expectations and were pretty disappointed. I drove out of my way to come to this breakfast spot because I'm allergic to wheat, corn & eggs, so finding a good whole nutritional breakfast is super hard to find but i saw a l review that said they had some of the best sausage around, which is one in of the things i sought out for.
