I went in just before 9:00 AM to catch their breakfast specials and was honestly so excited to try their fried rice. When we walked in, the sign said to seat ourselves. The waitress who helped us was incredibly nice and took the time to answer all of my questions. Unfortunately, my excitement was cut short when I went to order the #6 breakfast special and found out the fried rice was pre-made with ham, and there was no option to get it without meat. Since the fried rice was out, I pivoted and ordered the #1 Special: 2 eggs (requested soft scrambled with cheese) 2 pieces of bacon (asked to hold the bacon) White toast Home fries Side order: Egg rolls to go The execution of breakfast was pretty disappointing. The eggs weren't soft scrambled, the cheese on top wasn't melted, and the home fries were very hard. To top it off, the whole plate came out at room temperature. I didn't make a fuss or send it back because it's a small, family-owned restaurant and they clearly have a lot of loyal regulars who love them. Overall Verdict: Breakfast Food: 5/10 Egg Rolls: 7/10 The service alone makes it worth giving them another shot. While breakfast wasn't a hit for me, I would definitely return to give their lunch menu a try. read more

I went early on a Sunday morning (sometime around 6:30), and as soon as I walked in I was warmly welcomed by the staff. There were already a couple of tables seated, and I opted to sit at the counter since I was solo. Ordered the big breakfast (Two eggs over medium, bacon, home fries and toast) and a coffee. Great little breakfast spot! Located in an out of the way little strip mall it's easy to find, plenty of parking on a Thursday morning. Servers were attentive, informative and friendly. Coffee was always full and all servers seemed to make sure we had everything we needed. I had a ham & cheese omelette, home fries and wheat toast. I thought the food was great! Coffee is okay but hot! (Which is a HUGE plus for me) my husband ordered the big breakfast and I ordered the 1/2 French toast with scrambled eggs and sausage links. I thought mine was great! I especially enjoyed the sausage links. I thought the French toast was perfectly balanced. Not so thick that it was mostly bread and not to eggy that it didn't taste like French toast. My favorite was surprisingly the scrambled eggs. I ordered them but regretted it immediately after I remembered they aren't usually good in restaurants. HOWEVER, I loved them! They were cooked perfectly! Not hard at all and not undercooked either. They were soft, fluffy and full of flavor. The only thing I wasn't a fan of was that our server was only around to take our order and bring our food. She forgot the pancakes for my husband so we had to ask for those after we had already given it some time and asked someone else. Whoever is available will wait on you and assist with refilling drinking and whatever else may be needed during your visit. They have a large menu with a variety of options, and a huge plus to me, they serve lattes! I had the Filipino breakfast with scrambled eggs with cheese, fried rice, tocino (bacon), toast, and 2 pancakes. Everything was great! The tocino is not your typical American bacon. It is a lot thicker (even thicker than thick sliced bacon) and has a sweeter taste. The fried rice was a unique, but very tasty addition. I loved their pancakes! They were super fluffy without being dried out! I had plenty of food to basically take home a second meal. Oh and I also tried the home fried potatoes, and while they look bland, they are SO good! They were wall to wall packed on the Sunday morning that we visited, but the cooks kept food coming out of the kitchen quickly, and the tables turned quickly in turn. There was a line out the door but we were seated at a table within 15 minutes. The wait staff was very attentive, with 2 or 3 different folks checking on you, refilling your coffee, and bussing your cleaned plates. Our food was hot and tasty when it was brought to us. I've been wanting to try their Filipino Breakfast for a while now, and I'm really glad that I did. Baby, it was EV-ER-Y-THING! I enjoyed my iced mocha too, it wasn't too sweet, yet it didn't have a strong coffee taste either. I was also able to grab a bite of my friend's pork adobo omelet, and it was delicious as well, that's what I'll get next time I grab breakfast here. Service was fast, friendly, and efficient. Despite the place being packed, we were in and out in less than 45 minutes, with waitresses checking in on us throughout our meal; furthermore, my friends and I left both full and satisfied with the service, while making plans to make a return visit in the near future. We went to Sunrise after first trying a nearby spot that had an hour wait. We decided it looked worth a try, and immediately decided we were right upon entering. It has a family diner feel, and I would assume based on our experience that most staff are indeed family. They were very busy, but continued to seat people as quickly as possible, while getting out food quickly. There are Filipino options on menu that I wanted to try but wasn't so sure about, but may next time. Our food was basic but done well, especially the pecan pancakes and home fries. My coffee is always full and if I need something they are walking by often so it is easy to ask. I love the ambiance in the restaurant too. So when I happen to pass by, of course I have to check it out. When I came in with my husband and mother in law. We see a very homey and family oriented place. I see a lot of big group people and some couple. But it seems that they all know each other or know the staff well and vice versa. You feel at home. More at home specially when we ordered Filipino breakfast. The service was quick. The owner and the daughter was there and they came to our table and spoke to us. The servers were great. Came with a smile and very efficient. They quickly recommended the specials when we ask them. Coffee was freshly made. The food came right away which is great. The food is excellent. Loved this small mom and pop restaurant. Simply homie. American breakfasts with a touch of small Filipino twists in a few dishes. The adobo omelet was great, it came recommended by a few friends so I had to taste and review. The order of lumpia (6) was homemade, the filling was seasoned well, I would however recommend a better sweet and sour sauce. The sauce packet that it comes with wasn't as flavored as the Thai chili sauce that we typically use for lumpia. The longs is a was delicious as well. Overall, a must try if you're looking for homemade dishes without actually making it yourself. We'll definitely be back since it's a two minute drive and so many other dishes to try. read more
