I've had cakes here a few times (gluten free) and each time they have been delicious. The most recent visit, I ordered online for instore pickup and it was a very easy process. Today I just went to this Nothing Bundt Cakes the only one I've been going to for a long time. But today was different me and my grandma asked for 3 Bundt cakes. We asked for one confetti, vanilla, and red velvet. We ended up paying about 22$ and some change. But when we got home we ended up with 4 Bundt cakes confetti, vanilla, lemon, and vanilla again. We ended up paying for more than we asked for and our server he was nice but didn't check our order diligently ended up in our order being all wrong and having spent more than expected. It was my neighbor's daughter's 18th birthday and I usually bake them something, but this time, time got away from me, so Nothing Bundt Cakes (NBC) came to my rescue! This is not my first time at an NBC (first time was in Savannah at a trade show) but this was my first time in an actual shop and at the Chesapeake location. I popped in on a late Wednesday afternoon and I got ahead of the afternoon rush. The store is really bright and clean. The lady at the service counter was welcoming and patient as I looked over their options. Their menu is pretty straight forward: -3 sizes of bundt cakes: mini, 8" or 10" - 2 options of decoration: frosted (standard) or decorated (extra embellishments) - 9 flavors: Chocolate Chocolate Chip, Classic Vanilla, Red Velvet, White Chocolate Raspberry, Confetti, Carrot, Lemon, Marble, Pecan Praline. I chose the safe option and went for an 8" Chocolat Chocolate Chip for my neighbor's daughter and got 2 minis for my kids, Red Velvet and Chocolate Chocolate Chip. The bigger cakes are stored in the back and they were quick to bring one out. I really like that they show it to you before they seal the box! When I brought over the cake, my neighbor said that he had bought a cake for his daughter but she did not like it and told him that he should have gone to NBC! Where there you go, wish granted! I really enjoy picking up Nothing Bundt Cakes for special occasions or to give as a gift. I love the different sizes they have (cakes, bundtlets, minis) and that they offer a nice gift wrapping. I think the bundtlet (personal size Bundt cakes) are the best deal though! They have online ordering where you can easily personalize an order and seamlessly pick it up in store. At this location, the staff has always been pleasant. The inside of the store is clean, organized, and very appealing to the eyes. The flavors are classic and always delicious. When I inspected the case, I was initially disappointed because only half of the flavors were there, but the kind young lady helping customers must have sensed it. She immediately told me not to worry - all flavors were available in the back of the store. A few minutes in the back and she returned with my request - lemon and chocolate chocolate chip bundlets. The price is incredibly reasonable - $5 for each homemade confection and they come individually packaged. They've got several flavors for all tastes and you can also purchase undecorated/unfrosted cakes if you want to add your own toppers or a different icing. The easy to go option and order ok the spot for a decorated cake made my sons last minute birthday preparation a piece of cake. I waited in line but it didn't take so long.. just a 5 min await to get inside. The lady at the counter was so sweet and easy to talk to.. She showed me the book of options I could choose for my selection. You can order on advanced online and have the cake picked up or deliverered. They will deliver as long as the minimum cost of the order is $25 or more. They have cute bundtinis or a tower of bundt let's one can order. I got the beautifully crafted "Deliciois Wishes" cake that came with a mini decorated present with a candle at the top of the cake with a lime green decorated bow. There were many delicious flavor options to choose. There is confetti, lemon, red velvet, chocolate chip, gluten free, white chocolate raspberry, and pecan praline. I chose the chocolate chocolate chip cake, and they personally wrapped it in cellophane, enclosed with a birthday card message printed especially for my son. Once who took a bite into the cake, it was moist as ever, flavorful and not overly sweet, I loved that the cake was not loaded with a ton of frosting. Only negative is that they were out of punch cards for the customers who are regulars. Parking is in a shared shopping area in the Volvo Parkway shopping area. The store is clean, spacious, well lit and the layout is customer friendly to allow browsing if you need to wait. While you're waiting, they have a table set up with a sample of bundt cake. During my visit, it was red velvet and it wasn't hacked off pieces from a cake that didn't make the cut; it was plated and adorned in an appealing way. If getting an assortment of bundtinis, you'll be asked if you'd like their top selling flavors and of course you can customize your dozen. There are some flavors that are seasonal so inquire if your favorite flavor is leaving soon. I really appreciate that each customer was asked if they were active duty military. An absolute fan of Nothing Bundt Cakes, with my home location being the VB one. Since I worked nearby and was on a crunch, I decided to order from this location instead. Now when I tell you my face dropped when I saw the line was 5+ people deep and lined up outside the building...my face dropped. With a line so long, it's a bit of a challenge to see that there are two separate lines and what they are for. It would be nice to have bigger signs, a rope, or even someone checking in outside every few minutes or so. I of course ended up in the wrong line since I was just picking up. I believe a manager stepped in and was able to get things up and moving. Everything was smooth from there aside from the 15 minute wait. I could only imagine if it was cold outside! I love this little shop! The ladies that run this bakery are the most adorable; kind hearted ladies, I have ever met.... The cakes are amazing. The texture is always so velvety. I would say red velvet is the way to go ; but honestly I'll name a few more just in case, carrot is definitely a favorite in my house, but lemon is definitely a favorite in the summer months. Wanted to gift the docs and staff at the Animal Eye Care Associates office and the dozen mini bundts were perfect! It was my first visit to Nothing Bundt Cakes, but will not be the last. After seeing so many reviews and videos about Nothing Bundt Cakes, I decided to stop in and try since we were in the area traveling. We came in and the shop is very spacious, very clean, and bright. The young lady working the counter was friendly and quickly got our order in. She mentioned to come back in about 10 minutes so they could put our order in. We ended up getting the pack of 12 mini Bundt's and 2 of the smaller bundettes. All of the cakes were extremely moist and flavorful. I loved the icing! It really brought the cake together. Ok I'm updating my review because of a incident recently,I'm still giving 4 stars because the cakes are still amazingly tasteful with just the right amount of icing(my opinion of course). I ordered some bundtinis(probably spelling it wrong) but anyway when I got them they were very nice looking in the box but when I transported them and got home the bundtinis were all over the box. Apparently they were not placed in properly in the box(let me also say the transportation of the box was set properly on the floor in the back seat of my vehicle wedged tightly). I emailed the manager of this establishment and have not gotten a response as of yet,it's been a week and we all know in a place of business a timely response is important,so I would say make sure the patrons place your treats properly in the box before transportation to your destination. I think I love this place for a quick cake fix, or a birthday cake order. I've been ordering these cakes for my in laws events for a year now and they're always satisfied. They had a free sample of the white chocolate raspberry one in store, so I gave that a try and it was delicious. I tried to switch it up when I bought one and got the pecan praline flavour. It was decent, but I think I preferred the white chocolate raspberry. The Bundtlet was a good size for me. I was able to share half of it with my husband and we both felt like that was enough. The icing does get a tad sweet... I wish they sold pre-made minis with a "less icing" option like you can order for the big cakes. As soon as I came in I was greeted and offered a sample of their marble cake, which was heaven in my mouth I was there for a pickup order I had placed for my husbands birthday. I went with marble, white chocolate raspberry and lemon (his favorite). They were all perfect, the best cakes ever. As for the presentation, it exceeded my expections.
