I stopped by the new Sweet Spot in Chesapeake and walked into the cutest pink, bright, and photo-ready dessert shop! The decor is super fun and definitely one of those spots where you end up taking more pictures than you planned. They serve just about every dessert you could crave: milkshakes, funnel cakes, waffles, coffee and ice cream. What stood out to me is their focus on quality- everything is made fresh when you order and the ice cream is real premium ice cream (you can taste the difference). This place is extremely cute! We did come in with questions, although they have vegan options I wasn't sure if they were made with anything nuts. Being that my nephew and nice both have extreme but allergies. They kept emphasizing that the options were non dairy. (This is the only reason why I am eating it a 4, because I still don't know the base of the vegan ice cream) So to play it safe I got my niece (who had dairy and nut allergy) the Strawberry Banana Smoothie. It was sweet and she enjoyed it. My son and I shared the birthday cake flavor which was good. My nephew enjoyed the cookies and cream! Our wait was about 15 minutes. My husband and I recently visited Chesapeake and found this amazing coffee spot while staying at my sister's house. We ordered from them several times and each time tried something different. Hands-down some of the best milkshakes we've ever had. The lattes were incredibly flavorful and innovative. The packaging is just nothing short outstanding. It is obvious that every little detail is thought of with a lot of intention. This location is beautiful! I've been to most locations (all beautiful) and feel like they got it right with this one. The decor is nice. I love the chair designs. They have self serve kiosks to place your order. You can order at the counter and staff is very helpful. The kiosks are pretty user friendly. This was my first time getting a to go order and the package the items to travel well. My churros were still warm and crisp when I got home. My son had the funnel cake and that traveled well also. Strawberry mini puffs- the mini puffs are DELECTABLE! they come out hot & fresh, crispy/chewy but still very tender / melt in your mouth, topped with nutella, fresh strawberries and vanilla ice cream.
