Traveling dessert truck, finally "Shake'n" after months of stalking Instagram for a public pop up close to us. Verdict? 4-4.5 stars! Uniquely composed gourmet shakes, unseen anywhere else in the 757, artisan made by a minority owned local business. A tad pricey for a family of 6; bought 3 shakes served in mid-size clear solo cups for $36+tip, most with more whipped cream than true "shake." Rainy Friday evening made for virtually no line to order. Perfect for our first visit! Employees were friendly. Descriptive menu (black background, see photo) was posted AFTER we ordered; made the best of the picture menu, though felt bad asking "what's in the _______?" Paid/tipped easily via credit card POS system. Received an order number receipt; items in hand ~8-10 minutes later. Crazy cookie (5/5): HOMERUN!! A must order!! Outside cup rim had a thin vanilla frosting layer coated in Oreo cookie crumble. Inside, a straw helped to sip vanilla/choc cookie shake topped with whipped cream and chocolate syrup; spoon also inserted to better manage the half chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwich AND cookies and cream candy bar wedge. Every sip (and bite) was cavity inducing sweet, just the way a uniquely crafted ice cream dessert should be. Found the inside composition to be heavier on whipped cream than ice cream/shake. Banana split (4/5): Yummy! Their take on a Banana split'ish, in a cup. Outside rim had a thin vanilla frosting layer coated in choc sprinkles. Inside, a straw helped to sip vanilla/banana blended shake topped with whipped cream, choc syrup, and cherry; spoon also inserted to better manage the half ice cream sandwich and (fully wrapped) foot long piece of banana laffy taffy. Oldest son has a dessert stomach, devoured it like a professional. Blondie (3.5/5): Pretty good. Outside cup rim had a thin vanilla frosting layer coated in white chocolate pieces. Inside, a straw helped to sip vanilla shake topped with whipped cream and pecans coated in caramel syrup; spoon inserted to better manage the 2 triangular pieces of blondie bar. Also sweet and heavier on whipped cream than ice cream/shake. Would prob get something different on a revisit.

If you're in Norfolk stop what you're doing right now & make it on over to Shake it up! These over the top "EXTRA" shakes take things to a whole new level! We got the Strawberry Cheezcake milkshake & it was beyond delicious. The staff was so friendly & really helped us out with explaining each shake! Did you see the master piece they created ??? (See pics)! We will for sure make a trip across the water to indulge again! Love love love Shake it up!

As part if the hot cocoa war I stopped by at shake it up milkshake and I was pleasantly surprised to find out they offer much more than milkshakes ! They offer breakfast options and also cold brew mixed with your favorite ice cream! Their hot cocoa was a bit too sweet for me but overall I had a great experience !

Unplanned stop here when visiting S'mores Amore (they are next door to each other) and it was such a welcome surprise! So cute! Love the decor! Found out they carry Project Seed cold brew coffee and use it in milkshakes so we had to try it and it did not disappoint! It was so so so good! Glad we found Shake it up because we have an awesome little ice cream spot to visit regularly now!

Not too sickly sweet, their ice cream and cold brew shakes are creamy and just right!

Great shakes - my wife's shake had 4 scoops of ice cream, part of chocolate chip ice cream sandwich, cookie and more (see photo) in a rimmed cup), my shake had cold brew coffee and 3 scoops of ice cream. It's hard to find, it's actuality a booth in the air conditioned Selden Market which runs between Main and Plume next to the Hilton.

I looooove this place! It is so good and the present is even better! The owner is super sweet and generous! my favorite desert is the strawberry cheesecake milkshake!

I was dying to try a Shake It Up Shake. The concept is similar to the Shake Shack. The best part of the Shake is the toppings. Shack It Up are creative with their toppings. I ordered the cookie shake. It came with a healthy topping of a cookie ice cream sandwich, white chocolate candy bar, Oreo cookie and whip cream. I waited in line for 2 hours to get this Shake and It was worth it (although I wouldn't wait 2 hours ever again).

Original Coldbrew Milkshake

I purchased the original coldbrew milkshake. It tasted good but I felt like it was lacking in a coffee flavor. It also looked very vanilla/white compared to the advertised photos. For $8 I feel like the price is comparable to other milkshakes but still felt pricey. I wish I purchased the smaller one as it became too much for me about halfway through. I would try again.

We got the Ube Loaded Cake, Ube Cream Puff, Ube Fatty Cookies, and Ube Blondie. Everything was amazing and, next time, we will definitely get more. Our favorite was the Ube Loaded Cake. While there…read moreis no shortage of great filipino food in NYC, this place does something quite special which is hard to find - merging authentic filipino flavors in a well-crafted, delicious and new way. Everything I've had here is delicious, but here are some of my favorites: UBE BLONDIES *** Probably one of their most signature items that stays on the menu season to season, this crumbly, satisfyingly dense, soft baked good with that nice punch of ube flavor will really have you coming back for more. The frosting glaze is just perfect, adding that sweetness that carries the ube flavor really nicely. The texture is just soooo satisfying, you can just tell when you cut your fork through it that it has this airy, yet dense and crumbly texture. TURON FRITTER Kind of like an apple fritter, but oh so crumbly, delicious, bright, and soft on the inside. Also had their brown sugar boba pudding cup when it came out, and it was really good; the tapioca actually blended quite nicely and was chewy and fresh, which means you're not stuck chewing it forever. Definitely on the sweeter side, but brown sugar items tend to be that way.

When I saw my favorite Kouign Amann I was overjoyed because these are my absolute favorite laminated dough baked good and they are almost impossible to find in the States. My favorite bakery in Miami, Florida stopped offering them during the pandemic and never put it back on their menu. Anyway, it was delicious and I bought the last three!!!!! My husband, son and daughter in law each got a personal pizza and really liked them. I especially love the ham and Gruyère croissant and even ordered them to be served for my birthday last year. The service is efficient and kind and the atmosphere is super chill. I love stopping here when I'm in the area and want a pick me up. My most recent visit I decided to take my friend here after we grabbed coffee at Fr8 house a few minutes away. We opted to get a whole pizza and went for the Brisket and Blue which had fresh mozzarella, gorgonzola, smoked beef brisket, basil, pickled red onion, and green chili jam. The pizza was incredible. It had a great bite, slightly crispy, super savory with a touch of sweetness and the brisket was the savory star of the show. I added a bit of red pepper flake and it took it from a 9 to a 9.5 dare I say 10. I highly recommend checking this bakery out whether it's something as simple as a cookie or croissant or the whole pizza. There is something for everyone.

First passport stamp--bougie ice series continues!…read more As part of our Sweet Tooth Saturday Passport Series, we made a stop at Strawberry Fields, and this little spot was an absolute gem! It's a small, charming place with a lovely variety of flavors--and the staff was super kind and patient while we sampled quite a few options before making our final picks. (They didn't rush us at all, which was really appreciated.) I ended up going with the Strawberry Basil Gelato, which was light, refreshing, and surprisingly delicious--especially considering I don't usually go for strawberry anything. But this combo? It was giving elevated, not-too-sweet, and just the right balance. I think I'm officially in my icy era... we've done snowballs, Italian ices, and now gelato--so I'm fully committed to the frozen life right now. Is it dog friendly? Not quite. Dogs aren't allowed inside, but they do have outdoor seating where you can sit with your pup, so we'll call it half dog-friendly. Lexi got to enjoy the vibes from the patio, at least. And a fun little moment: we were the first ever customers to get our passport stamped here! That's becoming a bit of a trend for us, and it honestly feels like an honor each time. We love supporting local businesses, and this one definitely earned its place on the passport. The only reason you got a four is because you're not dog friendly on the inside

It jiggled when I tapped it and the side salad tasted great with dill in it and it brightened up things. The combination of both was great. The crust on the quiche was nice as well. My spouse enjoyed their sandwich but didn't realize there was mustard so he ended up just using the chips to eat his egg and sausage. His egg was also fluffy. The patrons that came seemed friendly and you can tell who are locals since they greeted by name often. I love that this place is open. They also have local wine you can purchase.
