The shop was very clean and neat, with minimal decor and limited seating. What really stood out were the amazing flavors! I've also visited their other location, and the flavors are very consistent between both places. The service was great as well , very friendly and welcoming staff.
Cute little place. The decor is sleek and interesting. Love the spoon wall. The lady behind the counter was nice and friendly there are a ton of options with flavors and additions. 2 scoops for a small, and that was plenty. I actually had two different flavors. Bathrooms were clean. I'd definitely go back to try more.
The parking lot and the drive thru were popping on a Saturday night and that's always a good sign! My husband and I got a pint of the "Just Ask" and it was a decadent mix of white chocolate ice cream,cookie pieces and peanut butter. Solid 10/10. Even though it was busy the staff was attentive and quick. Prices extremely fair. Shop was aesthetically inviting. Freezer was filled with ice cream treats and to go pints. Definitely worth a visit!
Love the staff, they're so friendly and nice. My dad and I came in tonight after dinner and we were a bit overwhelmed by how many options they had. He settled on his favorite (butter pecan), meanwhile I couldn't decide. Pumpkin gingersnap caught my attention the most and after having a sample to make sure it was the one, I got a sugar cone of it. It tastes like a pumpkin spice latte in ice cream form with gingerbread flavored oatmeal cream pie cookies mixed in. It was lovely and sweet and perfectly spiced and something cold for a cold night. I think the place was empty because it was also so cold and a little late out (7:40 pm). It usually is packed the times I've driven by, which I can understand why now. It's overall cute and small, with good staff, and a wide range of options (including dairy-free), it'd be hard to not like this place. Maybe, unless you're here when it's packed! Definitely recommend trying if you're around the area and need a sweet fix.
Thursday 8/15/2024 Another year of me vacationing in Virginia Beach means another year of me visiting this amazing ice cream spot. Its still one of the top 2 best ice cream spots I've had, if not, the flat out best. I had to stock up the freezer back at home so i ended up getting 4x large cups of Oreo ($7.95 per large) for a total of $31.80. Oreo is still their best flavor with brownie sundae being number 2 but sadly they weren't selling any brownie sundae at the time since it's not a permanent flavor. Of course This is a spot that I would 1000% recommend and obviously return to whenever I'm back in VA.
Got the kiddie scoop of the flavor just ask and it was so delicious especially the frozen peanut butter chunks. The staff was helpful allowing me to taste any samples of the flavors. It's a great summer vibe!
I've loved Gelati Celesti since they opened their store in the Hilltop area a couple of years ago. Since I was craving something sweet, I decided to stop in a couple of weeks back and it was packed. Thankfully, they were staffed very well and we didn't have to wait long to order. I ordered the size small in a Waffle cone and asked for a scoop of Butter Pecan and a scoop of the Pralines and Cream. Once we received the ice cream and paid, we went outside to eat it since it was a beautiful evening. Unfortunately, after eating the top scoop which was the Butter Pecan, I realized that the bottom scoop was Almond Amaretto instead of Pralines and Cream. I'm sure since it was very crowded and loud due to others placing their order at the same time, the lady got the order confused and I wasn't paying much attention since it was so crowded. Nevertheless, the ice cream was still very good but next time I'll be a little more aware of which scoops I'm getting to prevent this from happening again. This store has extremely friendly staff and I will definitely be returning.

After Sophia and I left Bonchon, we made a stop here for some ice cream. This was one of our popular stops during the pandemic where we can eat inside of the car. Since then, they've opened up two more spots in Hampton Roads. Well, we decided to eat inside at this location for the first time and boy was it a treat. Once we walked in, we were greeted immediately by the staff and having samples of some of the flavors. The vibe was very chilled and the place was spotless. Definitely a nice time of the day to have some ice cream. I ended up selecting salted caramel (2 scoops) in a waffle cone. Very, very good. Real smooth and not too sweet. This treat was the icing on the cake. Sophia enjoyed her coconut ice cream as well. Not a bad way to end our trip to Virginia Beach. You can never go wrong with ice cream to satisfy your sweet tooth. During my visit her in VA, I came here two times..back to back days. The ice cream has amazing flavor that made it extremely difficult to pick! I honestly wanted to eat all the flavors if I could. My favorite flavor by far is the strawberry. I highly recommend it to fellow strawberry ice cream lovers. It's probably one of the best I've ever had! Also if you get a small, you can get two flavors. Just an FYI! Definitely also ask to sample flavors before. Staff is totally helpful and understanding as well.
What a cute shop!!! Most of the employees we've encountered have been phenomenal (I had one sourpuss last night but the rest of the team were AWESOME)!!! The flavors are both traditional and inventive. The names are fun. Also, YES, we did have it for dinner last night. ;o) We first tried this spot when we were in town during the winter and made it a point to visit again one our last-minute VB visit. It did not disappoint. I had a medium, which allowed me to choose 3 scoops. I got the Blanchard's Dark as Dark (espresso), Just Ask (white chocolate ice cream with Oreos and PB), & The Dude (kahlua & fudge)...all freakin' delicious!!!! Their mint chip is also super delicious with its yummy peppermint base that I super loved during the winter!!! Now we just need a location up in DC!!
First off, this ice cream spot has such cute decor. The two ladies that helped us were so nice and patient even though there was a line 20 minutes before closing. I tried Shellebration which was a seasonal flavor of cake batter with cake pieces and sprinkles and just ask which has peanut butter and Oreo. I was surprised my how large the Oreo chunks were and made my night. Was very happy with the size of a small and allowing 2 flavors. Love how they have a lot or seasonal flavors to try in addition to the staples. Not pictured but they have pints for sale as well as merch. They even have a drive through! Great place to check and definetly recommend! read more

Gelati Celesti is a go-to in my family. From the insane amount of flavors to choose from (even though I almost always get Chocolate Decadence). I absolute love their mint chip and amaretto flavors too. We've even ordered a 6-flight of ice cream this past Valentine's Day and it was the absolute best V-Day outing. Everything is made fresh and in house. You really can't beat a visit to Gelati Celesti. The service is always friendly and they always recommend trying any flavors to see what you're in the mood for! We always end up eating our ice cream at one of the many tables inside or outside. It's a great spot with multiple locations! It's the perfect place for dessert or a sweet treat any time of day! This sweets shop is always a must stop when your in the area. The one thing I really enjoy is the drive thru alley thru have complete with lights overhead. This shop sits between the mattress shop and next to Nawab. The shop has a ton of standard and rotating flavors like blueberry lemonade sorbetto, sour cherry marscapone, or almond mocha chip. My best tip is to try a few samples if you're indecisive and get a small cup that you can mix two flavors. Everytime I've gone the flavors never disappoint and the service is friendly. So scoop yourself over for a sweet taste of gelati! read more
Loved the ice creams. Loved the charming friendly service. Loved my dogs enjoying their first pup cups. Zero complaints. What a sweet way to conclude a Sunday Funday. We got our order through the drive thru. We've walked nearly 6 miles since 9 this morning so felt too lazy to go inside. We were greeted by a wonderful young lady who took our order. She offered our dogs some pup cups. Neither have ever had one before. My dogs both devoured them in seconds! It was such a lovely gesture to make. Our ice creams were also delicious. We got strawberry and butter pecan ice cream and both were amazing. I can't wait to return again in the future. read more

This was my first visit and I elected to write as I feel confident future experiences would be similar. This is Gelati Celesti first location and is located just outside Hilltop across from Chick Fil A. They offer a drive-thru. Parking was adequate during the day. However keep in mind they share the lot with another business. I found the area free of debris. My daughter and I were greeted upon arrival. A sign on the door said mask were required for everyone. I did not feel comfortable complying with a mark mandate and nothing was said upon entering. The place is bright and clean with an attractive decor of ice-cream dippers on the wall. They do offer eat in with a few tables, nothing outdoor. The two cases offer over 25 flavors and are labeled with names. Two employees hustled their butt off to handle the crowd inside and also manage the drive-thru. My daughter requested samples which they happily obliged. What shocked me were samples on miniature metal spoons. WOW! First time I have ever received a sample on a real spoon. My daughter decided on a chocolate variety in a cup. I decided on a coffee type shake. The young woman who assisted us was fantastic and smiled through her mask. Checkout is up front. Tips are cash only. It's not cheap, so be prepared to pay a quality price. My daughter and I hung out at a table and really enjoyed our treats. If there was a disappointment it was the tiny straws which offered a challenge to drink my shake. I mentioned this and the staff said the larger straws have not been available. Looking forward to coming back and possibly trying their new Town Center location out. read more

BEST ICE CREAM IN VB!!! I can't even begin to describe how amazing Gelati Celesti is!! Since they opened I have probably given them well over $1000 from ordering their amazing ice cream Their flavors are classic but still very unique and they are regularly rotating, which is a bonus! I've never had a bad flavor I personally like chocolate dendance, melon, watermelon and blueberry sorbetto,gingerbread & peppermint during the holidays. I think they're fruit flavors are unbeatable compared to anywhere else. They are so flavorful, you can taste the cream just as much as the fruit! Even though most of their staff is pretty young , they are always very nice and open to conversation plus very personable with customers! Also whoever was their interior designer did an amazing job with that ice cream scooper wall, stunning! read more

We were visiting VA Beach and decided to find a Chick-fil-A to grab some ice cream. I happen to look right before we made a left into the Chick-fil-A parking lot and there was Gelati Celesti. I quickly looked the business up and it had 5 stars...I did a quick U turn and went thru to drive thru for a milkshake and a few cups of ice cream. 10 out of 10 would recommend and I wish I could bring it home to NC with me. read more

WOW. Just WOW. Gelasti Celesti (GC) saved our day! We trekked all the way out to that side of VAB to check out the grand opening of a neighboring business across the street, but when we arrived, the shop had unexpectedly closed early due to high demand. What?! NOOOOOOOOO. Bummed out and not wanting to look like we were dishing out empty promises to the kids, we diverted their attention to GC. WOW. Just WOW. First time there and definitely won't be the last! - Vibe - Love the ice cream scoop wall and the quote mural! It's a bright space, even at night. Menu board is clear and simple. They seem to have permanent choices and a the handwritten placards must be flavors that change weekly/periodically? - The Scoop - Kids got the Salted Caramel and Birthday Cake. Husband got the Pumpkin Gingersnap & Chocolate Peanut Butter and I got the Coffee & Cream. Their ice cream is just sooooooo creamy! I mean, just look at my pic of the ice cream pull. It. Was. Amazing! - Things to note - *They have a drive-thru window! * They have merch for sale. *Thirsty? The water tap is located on the merch wall. * They have a fridge with to-go items. *Location is super busy. It was 8:30 at night and there was a steady flow of people going in and out. Not ideal for social distancing, so again, they have a drive-thru window! Needless to say, we completely forgot about our initial disappointment from the early closure of the other business and left happy campers from GC. Delicious ice cream, fresh waffle cones and yummy dessert!! When you got that sweet tooth this ice cream shop doesn't disappoint. Once you walk in you can smell the sweet fresh waffle cones and ice cream. The ambiance here is so modern, fresh and IG worthy! There are many tables and chairs available and even an outdoor/indoor space to sit outside. They have a big selection of different and unique ice cream flavors. Don't be shy about asking for samples, they have so many and I always end up asking for samples before finally deciding on what flavor to buy. The ice cream is fresh, smooth and delicious! We love coming here for dessert when we have dinner in the area!! read more

Wow!! This place is amazing!! I actually had this place bookmarked but had the opportunity to attend a Yelp Event so I gladly took up that offer. Let's just say I have been back 3 times since the event. This is some of the best gelato I've had in the area. It is smooth, creamy, and oh so flavorful! I've only tried two flavors because I can't seem to try anything else when I go. That pumpkin ginger snap ice is to die for! I also has the birthday cake which was really good but I've gotten the pumpkin each time I went. I cannot rave enough about it! The place is really clean. With COVID going on they are not offering any samples nor can you dine in. The employees are super sweet and very patient. They are so many flavors to choose from it's hard to pick. To sum it up I'm so glad to got to try this place and will probably go back tomorrow:) read more
What a great place for ice cream, shakes, and ice cream cake!! Get a cone, a sundae, a cup, or even an ice cream sandwich of their delicious frozen desserts!! Tons of delectable flavors to try, both unique and classic. I can't wait to come back here - it was my first visit to Gelati Celesti, and they have some of the most delicious frozen treats I've tasted. The inside of the shop is very cute, with lots of seating and a well-lit interior. The workers were patient and helpful with any questions I had. I ordered an Oreo Milkshake, and my sister got a Vanilla Chip milkshake. They came out quick, with big straws perfect for sipping. We sat by the wall of ice cream scoops, and had some of the best milkshakes ever! Their shakes are simple compared to crazy places like Sweet Spot, but they are oh so good. We tried each other's shakes - not sure which I liked more!! But they are the real deal. My shake had nice chunks of chocolate cream cookies, and hers lots of chocolate chips. Freshly made ice cream is a world of difference over the store-bought stuff. It tasted so.... real. Lol. I can't wait to bring more people here to try this place out. Can't believe it was my first time after seeing all of the rave reviews!! See y'all soon!! read more

Love this ice cream. So many flavors. I had a chocolate ice cream with peanut butter chunks. And I took home 2 homemade Ice cookie sandwiches. So yummy. They also have drive thru if you don't want to go inside. read more
I LOVE GELATI CELESTI. On Valentine's day I saw they posted some neat looking ice cream on Facebook. When I got off work I went right over for a Valentine treat. The Ice Cream was so amazingly SMOOTH. I just cannot get over how wonderful this ice cream is. I got the red velvette oreo ice cream. Let me tell you TOP KNOTCH , not only oreo bits, they add WHOLE OREO'S. So GOOD!!! They have really won my heart for Valentine's Day. I was looking for my husbands favorite. They did not have it in a pint so I could take him some for a Valentine's day treat. The staff helped me with a smile and speedy service. LOVE THE STAFF. They are always so happy and cheery. Anyways. She made me a special pint of rum raisin. I gave it to my husband for his Valentine's gift. He is the happiest man. So you can take icecream home. Any of their flavors you can get made into a pint to take home or to the office. Great idea. Have delightfull ice cream there and then get a pint to take with you for later. read more
