Stopped in around 7pm on a Thursday and was seated after about a five minute wait. The place was clean and had a comfortable, casual vibe. Service was excellent. Kara was my server and she struck that perfect balance of warm and friendly without feeling scripted or like she had just completed a corporate training video on "How To Smile At Guests." I ordered a blackberry margarita that isn't even on the menu, and she later came back with genuine curiosity about how it turned out. That kind of attentiveness is rare. The margarita itself was excellent too. Bright blackberry flavor and, thankfully, not drowned in simple syrup like some places seem contractually obligated to do. I ordered the fennel sausage and sweet onion pizza. Worth noting: pizza is half off on Thursdays from 4-9pm and all draft beers are $5, which is a very dangerous combination if you have even a moderate amount of self-control issues. Flavor-wise the pizza was good. The fennel sausage was nicely seasoned and worked well with the sweet onion. The one issue was the cheese. It did not appear to have formed any sort of meaningful attachment to the pizza. Each slice came with what can only be described as a full cheese blanket sliding off the top like a landslide. Not ideal. I'm not sure what the technical pizza science is behind making cheese actually stick, but whatever that step is... it may have been skipped here. Overall though, service was quick and friendly, the restaurant was clean, and the margarita alone was worth the stop. With the Thursday specials, it's an easy place to drop in for a casual dinner.

To drink, I ordered the Harvest Sangria (10/10) I loved the flavor and fizz. I did taste the Blackberry Bourbon and felt like it was overly strong and didn't have an actual blackberry flavor. To eat, I ordered a Maple Bacon Smash Burger (9/10) it was cooked well, fresh, and flavorful. Only thing missing was it not having a lot of sauce on it because it was a tad bit dry. I ordered some ranch on the side. Def will be back again! My overall rate of experience : 8/10
This is a restaurant that I really wanted to like. But my expectations weren't met with the food. On a frigid day the server first said the has no coffee of any kind, that they got it from somewhere else. Now what Breakfast, Brunch & Dinner spot doesn't have coffee? Later he came back and said they had gotten some. Very strange. The menu was extensive. I was torn between the Pastrami Benedict and the Pastrami Hash, both was which were billed as being from Carnegie Deli in New York. I asked him if it really came from Carnegie and he confirmed. I settled on the Hash, which I now regret. The hash wasn't like a hash I had ever eaten. The pieces were large with a three egg covering, which I ordered medium but were actually well. The pieces of what must have been pastrami were crunchy. It appeared to have been a dish prepared hours earlier that has sat too long. The service was good except for the server having forgotten the coffee refill we had asked for. He had to be reminded. The decor was lovely. The granite table top where we were seated was the same pattern as one of my bathroom vanity choices. The booth was padded and quite comfortable. I was surprised to see in their bathroom the same fixtures I used in mine. It was a comfortable, happy feeling place which appeared to be popular with those who live in the area. The location is in an outer parcel of Greenbrier Market Center, a large shopping area on the southwest corner of Greenbrier & Volvo Parkways. My rating is 2.5 rounded up to 3. I won't try the eatery again.
Brunch with a quiet atmosphere this definitely the place for you to unwind and enjoy a relaxing breakfast. Super impressed with the service here our server was absolutely wonderful and made us feel welcome and very friendly with us and we set outside not bad at all and she very attentive to make sure we were good which was extra plus very fast with service here not a long wait at all on weekday. And they have special throughout the week for those who like to dine in on a weekday and enjoy some tasty bites. They did have a good selection when it came to their food for brunch and of course drinks as well. I got there buttermilk pancakes very classic and light not to heavy and breakfast potatoes those were a show stopper definitely the best I have so far at brunch spot. For drinks I tried their summer sangria I appreciate them adding real fruit and making It outside its traditional appearance and it was fruit forward and sweet where it was just right. The server was super sweet she gave a surprise sweet treat for the holiday as it was our first time trying out the restaurant was very thoughtful and nice and we will be more regulars here and I would highly recommend this place if you want more of a calm relaxed brunch experience.
Bakers Crust is a great restaurant in the Greenbriar area of Chesapeake. It shares a parking lot with a larger shopping area, so parking is ample. Recently they re-vamped their menu with some great additions. Decor is pleasant and tasteful the mural on the far wall is fitting to their commitment to fresh natural ingredients. On this visit I had the pleasure of being served by Alyssa. She is on point with her knowledge of the menu and very polite. I ordered a cup of the tomato cheese soup to start off. It is like a tomato bisque that is on another level, creamy with great cheeses and tomato flavor topped with a perfect blend of seasoning. For the main course I tried the **NEW** Chesapeake smash burger, and it did not disappoint. the combo of corn and sundried tomato relish paired with boiled crab dip on two smash patties makes your tastebuds rejoice.

I've only been to Baker's Crust once before but remember I enjoyed the shrimp tacos and the corn chowder very much. I especially appreciate a place that serves fresh cut fries! Yum! NEX time, I plan to try their fresh cut chips! Today I went with a friend and decided o t he Ahi Tuna Burger - it was delicious and so were the fries ( nice and hot and crispy!). My friend said she enjoyed her pizza and side of fries, as well. Our waitress was wonderful. She was very friendly, patient, and knowledgeable about the menu. It's a cute place that I intend on going back to try their breakfast and brunch choices. In the area? Check Them Out!
We enjoyed Bakers Crust for a quick casual meal. I was glad to see some gluten free options although I was they offered more gluten free breakfast food like chicken and waffles and pancakes. My boyfriend's chicken and waffles looked great. The chicken was a little tough, so tough he accidentally dropped his knife trying to cut it, but the waffle was soft with great taste. I will say the gluten free bread was soft, which isn't always the case for GF bread. The sandwich was simple but good. I also enjoyed the side salad. This was close to our hotel and in a good area, so we may come back when we're back in town. I recommend fo a casual meal.
I have been to two other bakers Cross but this is my first time in Chesapeake. Large inside with elegant yet casual decor. We ordered their mimosas that we're on special. I tried the blood orange and I enjoyed it. I also ordered the grilled chicken and veggie quinoa bowl. All the ingredients were grilled perfectly. The sauce poured over top was a nice touch. I highly recommend this dish. Our server was sweet and helped us in making our lunch decisions. Great spot for a family, catching up with friends, or for a date.

The service here is impeccable. This is my first time visiting, and they made me feel very comfortable. The waiter explained the menu thoroughly to me. And also suggested some menu options. I enjoyed the pizza which was made fresh. The ingredients were balanced on the pizza. The cinnamon bun was as large as my head. It wasn't too sweet, but definitely decadent. The ambience was very comfortable Somewhat trendy. I would definitely return.
Awesome environment. There is a family feeling and a girls Night out feeling all at the same time. Would recommend for either.

Whenever my bestie and I are looking for a good restaurant to have a nice dinner and meet to catch up over our busy schedules, we suddenly find ourselves craving the fantastic salads at Baker's Crust! We always choose the Greenbrier location in Chesapeake since there's ample parking available, and the service is very good. Tonight I tried a new salad, the Lemon Basil Harvest Blend, and I appreciated our server, Jackeline M for asking if I preferred the dressing on the side. Yes, please! I'm so glad she asked! This mixed greens salad has some star ingredients that caught my eye: charred artichokes, green olives, and grilled balsamic chicken. Yum. I'll be ordering this salad again. My bestie ordered her favorite bc combo with Tomato Soup and the Wine Country salad. She says that soup and salad combo never disappoints. She finished it! But, we always save room to share a trusty bc favorite dessert: the Wimbledon (strawberries with whipped cream crepes). Although it's no longer on the menu, the Greenbrier location always whips it up for us when we ask. It's an oldie, and a goodie! We enjoy the cozy atmosphere of Baker's Crust and find that our dinner catch ups over their delicious food and dessert are always long overdue. Tried a new spot based on other yelp reviews. The burger was pretty good and the fires were cooked really well. My meal overall was fast and delicious. I didn't enjoy my Vodka Lemonade, mainly because of their lemonade flavor. But I would try other things there. The service was pretty good and the restaurant was bustling. We went to brunch on a Saturday morning. We'd been there for dinner but never brunch. It was busy but there was no wait. Everything was okay. Not spectacular, just okay. The pancakes were not fluffy at all and a bit flat. Our blueberry pancakes had way too much blueberry on them. Which honestly may just be a preference. They don't serve specialty coffee like a cappuccino or latte, however you can get regular drip. Not sure that we'll return for brunch, given there are better options in the area, but it would definitely do in a pinch. read more

If taste buds were high-fives, mine would still be celebrating. But the true highlight was our amazing server, Sergio, who gave us (and surrounding tables) five star service. Sergio was cheerful, patient, knowledgeable, and so smooth I thought I walked into a rom-com. Today we came in for a much over due girls brunch but it's not our first visit to the bakers crust. Sergio has waited on us before and he was amazing then too. Let me tell you though, today was spectacular, from the service to the food. They offer a gluten free menu, I think that's known but they currently have two brunch specials that my friend and I just had to try. When Sergio mentioned the French toast Japanese Milk Break with cheesecake filling and strawberries on the side I didn't realize he was a match maker too. Now, he did tell me it's not too sweet but I think that falls down to personal preference. It was sweet just not sickly sweet. It was delicious. I would have liked the filling to be on the thicker consistency but I'm not complaining because I loved it and with a side of bacon made this a perfect brunch meal. My friend ordered the sausage and gravy over a biscuit with over easy eggs. This meal was hardy and filling, a great proportion for any hungry individual. We went around 12PM, the restaurant was clean, quick service from seating to ordering. I have been to this location several times, it's a hit or miss when it comes to how packed it is or the service and food. Obviously I've never had anything truly negative since we do come back for more. Kudos to Sergio, kudos to the team, kudos to the chef! Can't wait to come back and enjoy another brunch date with the Bakers Crust. read more

I just love the menu at Bakers Crust. Long day at work, all I needed was a bowl of healthy delicious flavorful salad. Healthy greens to boost my mood. Leafy love. Having Bakers crust catered at work is a regular thing. I have had most of the salads. Today I found 1 that I have never had. All of them are equally delicious. This Wild mushroom. Apple and goat cheese is now at the top of my list. The pizza was for comfort, offering Sautee onions, fennel sausage and cheese. Baked to perfection with a hand stretched thin crust. What could be better. Our server was great, offered to bring out the pizza while half finished the salad was more than perfect. He offered a bit more dressing justas i was going to ask. I completely finished every morsel of my salad. read more

Baker's crust is a top notch restaurant with lots to offer! They have so many options for everyone including a gluten free menu. I ordered the Grilled Salmon dinner . Salmon was delicious and had that nice grilled touch. The orzo was made really nicely too! Lots of unique flavors! Staff was stellar! One of the managers came over and offered us a sample of the tomato soup which I loved loved loved! Thank you to Mark for bringing it over to us! Bakers Crust is a great and cozy place to dine. They have delicious sandwiches, soups, and salads as well as a variety of entrees and burgers. They also have a yummy brunch. We started with the tavern chips which were massive! I wish ours had a little more bacon spread throughout and more of the cheese layered in the bottom, but they were delicious and the ranch is sooo good! The pick two is a wonderful option for lunch and the portions are plentiful. I got the mortadella and buratta sandwich with a Greek salad, This sandwich will be my go to each time. It's perfectly creamy, salty, herbaceous, fatty, and fresh. The salad also was fresh and there was plenty of feta and olives! The balsamic dressing was thick and tasty. What's not to love? I've been going to Baker's Crust for years and have yet to have a bad experience. I mean, every once in a while, something might be a little off - slower than usual service, french toast on the dry side - but any restaurant has those days. Even the best of the best has the occasional off day. That said, this spot is pretty darn consistent with solid food and service. I'm partial to their artisan sandwiches with homemade chips (which made me a big BC fan in the first place) and brunch items. In particular, I'm currently obsessed with their chicken and waffles. The chicken is always fried perfectly and the waffle has the best mix of light and slightly crispy outside with a soft, fluffy inside. Few places make waffles as well as they do here. The other day we had their calamari for the first time. Definitely won't be the last because it was some of the best we've ever had. The only thing I wish they'd do with this location is to lighten it up a bit. My favorite location is the OG spot in Norfolk where it's so open and airy. This is a smaller location that sometimes feels closed in, especially when it's busy, despite all the windows. Hopefully, they'll do a little remodeling down the road. read more

Bakers Crust is not a large restaurant; I suspect it would take forever to get 22 people fed. Let me say tho, the Chesapeake store makes a reservation for our regular group of 8 and they take good care of us. AND the quality of the food is…
How does the "curbside to go" works?
You order over the phone ahead of time. They'll ask for a description of your car. Pull up to the designated parking spot and someone will be out with your food and the check. Done. :)
