4/26/26: I was meeting up with friends on a Sunday afternoon and we originally decided on the "Sweet Spot" which is further down on the same street. But I really wanted something a little lighter and healthier. Toastique was the perfect alternative. It was a min walk from where we were. The dining area is clean and modern with a calming, natural color palette. It makes you want to linger with free Wi-Fi and complimentary ice water (in the jug that has citrus floating in it). We were immediately greeted by the manager owner. It's a seat yourself and order at the counter set up. We hadn't grabbed a menu when we came in and the owner intuitively brought menus to our table. We ordered the avocado smash toast, the Blue Mystique smoothie bowl, and the Greek toast. Service was quick and they brought it out to our table. Each item came out looking beautiful, fresh, and delicious. I sampled the 'cure' cold pressed juice and now I feel like I need to go back to get a bottle to go. Excuse the pics, I always forget to take the pic first when the food comes out looking good, lol. I found the prices to be very reasonable for what you get compared to other "fresh food" fast restaurants. Definitely put this place on your list as a chill place to catch up with friends or to set up your laptop for some work while enjoying a variety of yummy fresh food choices. Oh, I always like to note when places have single stall unisex bathrooms and they did. The service quality and flavor is always my primary motivator when deciding where to eat. Sour dough toasted thick slice, fresh cream cheese, baby arugula, the most flavorful smoked salmon I've had here in VA, fresh sliced cucumbers, fresh crushed pepper, capers, picked red onions, nice heaping of microgreens, lemon slice and I believe balsamic glaze. The chain is based out of DC and growing fast. This location is locally owned and operated by a sweet couple from the area, Navy veterans who decided to settle here in the area upon retirement. - Parking - If you're lucky enough to find street parking, there are some right in front of the store. If not, go across the street to the parking garage. It's free to park there. Located in Summit Pointe in Chesapeake, this is a perfect place to grab breakfast or lunch as the toasts are perfect for either meal! I would even eat these for dinner! - TLC - Customer service is very friendly and courteous. - Noms - Mocha latte - I asked for extra chocolate which they graciously accommodated. It was just the way I liked it. Spiced pear juice - they have a lot of fresh pressed juices, bottled, in the grab-and-go fridge at the service counter. I had seen this juice advertised on social media, and I love Asian pear so I was intrigued. It was super refreshing and with the hint of spices, it was perfect for this time of year. I chugged that thing down so fast, but I'm not even ashamed of it! It was $8/bottle, comes in a glass bottle and sealed with a sticker. Tomato burrata toast - this toast comes on their delicious gourmet bread, toasted, with some kind of butter, topped with fresh heirloom tomatoes, both red and orange. The burrata is set right in the middle (so you'll have to break it up for every bite, drizzled with a type of pesto and balsamic glaze. I love a tomato and burrata combo, so this was right up my alley. Everything is so classy and well presented here. They really prep your eyes for your stomach. Each toast is presented on a Toastique branded wooden cutting board with a gold fork and knife. The only thing I don't like about these boards is that when you cut into the toast, the crumbs go all over and I feel like I am leaving the table a mess. Wonder if they could get rimmed boards, if that is even a thing? Overall, a great addition to the Summit Pointe area to have a fast casual, yet classy meal or snack to meet up with friends or business meetings. They have lots of great options, so whether it's toasts, smoothies or smoothie bowls, they even got you for hot caffeinated drinks! You won't feel leaving heavy or completely stuff. Toastique is just what the area needed! I have been here 3 times already. It's a great spot for a healthy breakfast, post-workout boost or just a quick snack. I met the owner yesterday, Sam, who is delightful. The place is clean and you are greeted when you walk in the door. I have gotten the Green Machine twice, a few booster shots (love these!) and a Blue Majik bowl. I love that they have a variety of items to choose from. I will say, service is a little slow, as the wait time for your items is quite long. However, I do think as people learn the business and those kinks get worked out, it will be fine. Toastique is located in Summit Point which is a beautiful area. There is street parking and a parking garage in the area. I first noticed the beautiful Toastique sign before I walked in. Inside they have bottled juices and more in the display for grab and go. I heard great things about the DC location and they were safe for those who are gluten sensitive/Celiac. When I asked the cashier if they had a separate toaster she told me no. I asked their protocol and she seemed not to be too informed and just stated she'd make sure everything was safe. I didn't feel too confident but was glad the owner came out to let me know they do have a separate toaster, pull fresh ingredients & she'd personally make my food. She let me know they had only Bern open for a week and not everyone was up to speed (which I think is important in this case so no one gets sick). I like that she asked if it was preference or allergy. I ordered the Spicy Crab on gluten free bread and the Recharge juice over ice. My food did take 20 mins or so but I'd rather that so I knew it was safe. There was paper on top of their serving platter so it wasn't touching directly which I liked. The toast was delicious and the juice was definitely refreshing. My meal was about $23 as there is a $2 upcharge for gf. I finally decided to stop by to give this place a try. I went on a Saturday morning with my daughter. The service was fast, and they were not crowded. The staff was very helpful and nice. I was super excited to hear about the new toastique opening in Chesapeake! I've tried this place back in 2019 in the DC area and absolutely LOVED it then and still LOVE it now! You order at the counter once you walk in and then seating is first come first serve. They serve a variety of fresh toast, acai bowls, juices, smoothies, and coffees! The food was so scrumptious and refreshing! A breath of fresh air. I started off with the smoked salmon toast and it was the perfect mixture of toppings. The salmon not too salty. The cucumber and herbs added a touch of freshness while the lemon juice added a slight acidity to balance the whole thing out. The toast is served on its own little cutting board and it's so cute. I do wish the boards were just slightly bigger because when I was cutting my toast, a lot of the toppings were toppling over and there wasn't so much space for it to fall on! However, I loved how much topping they put! The herbs were definitely fresh and you could tell with each bite. I also tried the matcha açaí bowl and it was pretty big. I had to half it with my partner since we both had our own toasts. I was hoping for a stronger matcha taste, however I wasn't disappointed about it since the bowl was so delicious! The cacao nibs as a topping was my favorite. Absolutely beautiful inside! High ceiling, modern meets earth tones makes everything look clean and fresh. I stopped by Tuesday morning to return some glass juice bottles and purchase some more. I got $.50 off each drink for returning the empty bottles. I also decided on their fig and arugula toast to go. I had just come in after a large party ordered. The lady at the counter was super nice. I didn't expect to wait 25 minutes for a toast though. I will say, my fig arugula toast was delicious and beautiful! It held up on the way home. On the downside, it was tough to eat with the plastic utensils that it came with. My fork broke. No worries though, I just took my toast out of the plastic container and put it on a regular plate with regular utensils. Though beautifully presented, I found it awkward to eat. But I did enjoy every bite! Keeping up with the location and the high-end decor/look, I understand their line of thought for pricing. However, I felt prices were a bit high. EDIT: it speaks volumes about how much the owners care about customer experience when they respond to reviews quickly and both address concerns while explaining what happened while going through new restaurant growing pains. We will definitely be back and recommend to our friends. Food and fresh juices were great. Gentleman at the front counter who took our order was a sweetheart, however the young lady with the buzz cut was extremely rude to my husband. It was our first time eating at Toastique so my husband was waiting at the counter for our food and she asked him aggressively if he could go sit down since she would bring our food out to us and there was no need to wait at the counter. She ended up bringing out everyone else's orders in the restaurant and then as soon as ours was ready, she yelled his name and made him come back to the counter to collect our food. Everything else about the restaurant was nice, she just left an extremely sour taste in our mouth for the price we paid and the customer service we expected. What a great opening day!! I heard of Toastique through instagram and woke up bright and early for a nice breakfast with them, and they absolutely blew me away. There was a line coming into the store, but it went by pretty quickly. Inside, the decor is very chic and cute, with a good amount of seating options available from table seats and bar seats. All of the workers were very friendly and knowledgeable of what items they had on the menu. I ordered the smoked salmon toast, and my order came with minimal wait considering how busy they were! I didn't know what to expect plating-wise, but WOW the presentation with the little cutting board and gold cutlery really elevated the experience. The toast itself was so delicious: salmon cured just right, amazing cream cheese shmear, fresh greens, and the little bite from the pickled onion and lemon, all 10 out of 10. I'm very glad they provide silverware because it's a sizable piece of toast with a generous amount of stuff on it, eating it just with hands probably would have been a bit messy haha.
