Did not have the cookie I wanted and it was only the second day!! How do we run out so fast?

While I was in the area, I wanted to try the Dubai Chocolate Brownie w/Strawberries for Valentine's Day. I called ahead to ensure they had the brownie available and the lady was super sweet on the call. She ensured me that they had a few brownies left but that they were going fast. I decided to order online so I could just stop by and pick it up. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted and they started to prepare the brownie. This was my first time at this location and it was very clean and organized. I was in and out under 2 mins. Overall, the customer service was wonderful and the brownie was great. I ordered four cookies from Crumbl as a thank-you gift for my mom, and unfortunately, the cookies were not good at all. The topping tasted extremely sour--almost like sour milk--and the cookie itself had a strange, grainy texture. These were not minor quality issues; the cookies genuinely tasted off and were not something I felt comfortable giving to someone as a gift. I called the store to let them know about the issue, and the experience with the shift lead and trainee made an already disappointing situation even worse. They were extremely rude and dismissive and told me that I was not eligible for a redelivery. I was told I would have to bring the cookies back to the store. I understand that businesses have policies, but when a customer receives food that tastes spoiled or otherwise clearly isn't right, the response should be to address the concern--not make the customer feel like they're inconveniencing you. Very disappointing experience, both with the quality of the cookies and the customer service. I'll be emailing Crumbl's corporate office because this should have been handled much better. read more

This location is a bit smaller than other locations I have been to, but nonetheless the overall look and cleanliness is a plus. We ordered ahead of time and we picked a time slot. We arrived a minute or 2 before the time slot, but still received our cookies/cakes, so that was a pleasant surprise! The tres leches cake was delicious. I couldn't get enough of it. I wish I had gotten 4 of them. I was not a huge fan of the Chocolate Cheesecake. It was very dry compared to the Trés Leches. I noticed this place on a day out and as a big fan of cookies, I decided to pay a visit. First of all, the music was SO loud that I couldn't hear anything else and it wasn't even good music at that! The ordering seemed confusing to me and I ended up with some random selection of cookies as I couldn't concentrate due to the blaring excuse for music being blasted through the very small building. It was extremely overpriced for only a few small cookies. They were bland, dry, and not even worth the box they were in. I still don't know why this chain gets so much praise. A scene that is all too familiar these days. A lobby full of confused and angry customers and 4-5 employees in the back with no idea what they are doing. Their explanation to one customer on why her order was messed up was "you can email my manager." Wow employees can't even resolve a messed up cookie order. Well well well. I'll be back to have another Kentucky Butter Cake Cookie. The thing was warm, soft like cake, buttery as promised and I love that it was a cross of a butter cookie and a sugar cookie. Didn't like the chocolate sundae as much as I thought I would but I'm sure it's someone else's pick. But between me and you ... THIS BEATS INSOMNIA COOKIES BY FAR (at least the one on Monarch Way in Norfolk) I wish there were bags to carry your boxes out in because the server's gloves transferred chocolate and the likes all over the outside of my boxes. Nevertheless I wiped them and transferred them right to my stomach. It's really small inside with no seating. So you have to eat them in your car if you want the fresh out of the oven experience. Which I highly recommend because while they're still good at room temp, they're MUCH better fresh and hot. Let's just say I'll be back. Hopefully the menu changes out regularly instead of seasonally because the options were super small (only 6 when I went). I had such high hopes for this place. I decided to try it after smelling their branded soaps/lotions at Walmart. I love me some cookies, so I was excited to try these. For a first timer in the store, it's a wee bit confusing on how to order. I ended up asking another customer because the staff couldn't be bothered. Either that, or maybe they couldn't hear me over the music. It was seriously like being in a dang club. It would have been nice to actually get the cookies I ordered. Be sure to check before you leave. Two didn't even have the icing at all. The name "Crumbl" is appropriate seeing how all you get when you bite into these hard pucks are a mouth full of dry crumbles. Between the tasteless disks disguised as cookies, the overly loud music, the exorbitant prices, and the employees that would rather be ANYwhere else, I think I'd rather eat the body scrub from Walmart. I've heard a lot of hype from friends about Crumbl Cookies so I finally gave it a try. The small shop was pretty busy when I walked in and the employees all seemed to be working pretty well together. Flavors change weekly and ordering is on a kiosk. I ordered a couple hummingbird cake and chocolate cupcake cookies. It only took a few minutes for my order to be ready and I was soon on my way home. The cookies were beautiful and well presented in a branded pink box. They were fresh and delicious. The cookies are a bit pricey but not out of line considering the companies obvious overhead expenses. 3.5 stars rounding up for a clean shop and great service. read more

To be honest though, the taste was just average, hence the 3-star rating. I really debated giving it a 2-star, but that would've been based exclusively on taste. Giving 3 stars because I love the cookies here! They are always so yummy, warm, and delicious. I will recommend them always. What was disheartening was my experience. There was a couple and me in the store. The couple asked the lady working there what she recommended. As I'm checking out at the self service , paying $45 for the box of cookies, I heard the last thing I'd ever want to hear while purchasing cookies or any food at a store from a staff member. The staff member said " I don't like the cookies here". The couple rapidly left the store. Clearly uncomfortable by her response. This staff member looked and laughed to her coworker and kept talking about how she doesn't like it. I felt bad for her coworker because she was working hard rolling and baking the cookies, it just seemed wrong. If I didn't pay I might of left too. I rely on staff at places I eat for recommendations and I love it. She could have at least shared what the popular items are, that would have been helpful to us customers . Horrible service. My sister and I were the only two people in the store at the time. I had a question about a potential allergen in one of the cookies so I stood next to the counter waiting for the woman behind the counter to acknowledge us, she had AirPods in (which is fine if you can actually help customers) but we stood there for about 2 minutes trying to nicely get her attention before it became clear she was doing everything she could to avoid looking at us. We gave up and decided to just go ahead and order the cookies. On the kiosk is a section where you can add any special instructions so I asked for them to put the cookie with nuts in a separate container due to an allergy. When the other woman brought the cookies out, they were all in one container. I had asked again, can I please have the one with nuts in another box and she straight up said "No, I can't do that." She must've seen the confusion on my face because she followed it up with "I saw you asked for that, but if I put it in another box then I'll have to charge you extra." I understand she's just doing her job and following company policy so I can't fault her for the extra charge, but I was frustrated that she saw the message about an allergy and put the cookie in the box anyway without saying anything to me first. It is also an outrageous policy to charge extra to put a single cookie in a separate box for an allergy, especially when you're already charging $5 for a cookie. read more
