    French Onion Soup Deviled Eggs
    Marissa C.

I was recommend to go to Dubs Pub the other day since I was going to Savannah and I am very glad that I went. It was very cool because when you walk in, it is all brick and had a historic ambiance to it. Right when we were seated, our waitress took our drink orders. I ordered a sweet tea because you can never go wrong with ordering a sweet tea while in the South! We then ordered a few appetizers to pick from. The special deviled eggs of the day were French onion soup. I was a little skeptical at first, but they were very good! The Margherita Flatbread was absolutely delicious! It was cooked just right. This was also my first time trying pimento cheese and it was delicious! I feel like it could be better if it was warm to bring out more flavors, however, even cold it was delicious! I definitely would visit again!

The host & waitress made our visit memorable! They were very accommodating & high-energy! While in this restaurant, you can't help but soak in the historical ambiance! Hint: Order the Fully-Loaded Tots! The tots are super crispy & not greasy! Yum!

We were just walking and needed a place to eat with our kids so we stepped in. Food was great and service was too. Good variety on the menu and all reasonably priced. I had crab cakes and they were good...needed a little more lump meat but still good. The homemade fries were awesome!

We just came in here for a quick drink but it is definitely an old style pub. It seems a little unsanitary in there but idk if it's just because of the oldish vibes they have. Our waitress was very nice and fairly quick with our order of drinks. It's on the river st strip so it's always busy. We didn't get any food but we saw other ppls food and it smelled and looked so good. I would definitely stop by again for another drink and something to eat.

I've been to been to Dub's a few times, and each time it's been a pleasant experience. The drinks are usually good, and the food is decent. The crowd is usually friendly and welcoming. I recently went with a group of friends, and I must say that the food was significantly better than usual, and the drinks were just as tasty. I'm not sure if it's a new addition, but they also now serve Jell-O shots, which was cool. The best part was that there was no wait time, which was really convenient for a Saturday afternoon.

We went here on a Friday night to grab dinner. This place is by the river. You have to walk down the stairs to get to this area. The food was ok. They had tv's playing a variety of sports. The service was good. Went we went they were busy so it took a little bit to get our food. This place was ok.

We visited Savanah GA for the Nike Showdown and made a group reservation by email for a group of 32. I communicated with the restaurant up to the day of the reservation. We arrived and were told they didn't have a reservation but of course I had the contract and emails. The manager on duty immediately contacted the lady I was communicating with to see what they could do because they made a mistake with the days. I will say they made it happen without any hesitation and for that I give them 5 stars. This could have went differently but they took ownership of the error and made up for it by the amazing food and service they gave us. We had two waitresses who did a great job taking care of us all. The food came out hot and so good! Not one complaint out of 32 of us including teenage girls and everyone left full and happy. Thank you for making it a fun lunch and amazing team outing! Hope we come back next year and if so we will be back!!

Awesome pub/tavern. Best infused Bloody Mary in Savannah! Also liked the chicken skins. Friendly bar staff, lots of fun.

Stopped in for a drink! Reasonably priced, clean, unquie take on the marg. Thing to note** we came here to play some bar games (darts, pool, ping pong) but the bartender said they haven't had these for years, and the sites / pictures just haven't been updated. So come for the food / service but if you wanna play bar games this isn't the place, luckily the super sweet bartender gave us Recs, including next door and congress street social club to fill our competitive cups!

"Smoked" salmon salad.. or cat food?

Oh, Dubs Pub, where do I begin? Our Savannah adventure kicked off with such promise when we met a waitress outside on her smoke break. She was friendly, chatty, and got us hyped to try this place--billed as "elevated pub food." Spoiler alert: the only thing elevated here was my blood pressure after waiting 30 minutes just to order a drink! We strolled in, optimism high, and got seated quickly. Nice start, right? Then... crickets. We sat, we stared, we contemplated sending out a search party for our server. Finally, the manager swooped in to take our order, probably sensing we were about to start gnawing on the tablecloth. To their credit, they tossed us a free appetizer as an apology. Sweet gesture, but let's just say it wasn't exactly a culinary love letter. My girlfriend ordered the smoked salmon salad, dreaming of a beautifully smoked fillet. What arrived looked like it was scooped straight from a can of bargain-bin salmon--no smoky flavor, no finesse, just sadness on a plate. I went for the shrimp and grits with a chorizo sauce, expecting a Southern classic with a spicy twist. Instead, I got a big ol' bowl of "meh." The sauce was trying so hard to be fancy, but it landed somewhere between confused and forgettable. Dubs calls itself "elevated pub food," but I'd call it "overly complicated not-good pub food." If you're aiming for a vibe where you wait forever for food that makes you miss your microwave, this is your spot. For the rest of us, Savannah's got better bites elsewhere.

We stopped in after an afternoon of shopping Saturday, around 3 PM. It was not busy at all, which, being located on River Street, I was surprised. Thankfully, this was just an added bonus! It got soo busy not even an hour later. We were greeted by the host and sat within 2 minutes. Our server seemed to be 1 of 2 on the floor, and he still did a great job taking care of us. Our drinks were never empty and he recommended us the pork nachos- which were definitely the right choice. The beer cheese was delicious. Our Cobb salad was good too, with finely chopped chicken and a yummy jalapeño ranch (I really enjoyed this sauce). The restaurant was clean, with a large amount of TVS playing. Typical sports bar vibes. The food was good, a little more pricey than a standard sports bar on the southside or something similar (downtown prices are a real thing)!

Crab patties I wish they weren't so thin !

How are those chicken fingers though?

I've only tried the wings and corndogs which were great. Good amount of meat on the wings and everything. Next time I stop by I'll give the fingers a go.

I'd been desperate for pho, the simple but amazing Vietnamese soup whose broth takes almost a whole…read moreday, several pounds of beef and beef bones, and the chef's full freaking attention, if it's done right. Saigon Cafe on Waters Ave. closed, and that was the last place I knew in Savannah that served that exquisite, clear soup. I always get chicken soup (pho ga). The new owners are doing good work, but I'd been spoiled. The broth doesn't have the depth, and it isn't hot enough. It's gotta come smoking, fogging glasses, clearing sinuses. But Boomy's brings the broth. I've been there two or three times, and it's my new pho go-to. The noodles are wider than At Saigon Cafe, but that's fine; they hold their bite longer without getting mushy. Please note: Boomy's is a bar on Congress Street in Downtown Savannah. It's wheelchair accessible and laid back. A Dad out with his two young boys asked if one kid could use the bathroom and was welcomed ... no purchase, no hesitation. And a lady in a wheelchair with her companion and her dog ducked in for a soft drink and a rest. Everyone's welcome. Nothing about its façade or dive-bar vibe suggests it serves bangin' Vietnamese food. Waitstaff is quick to show you the burger menu on the back, in case pho isn't your jam. Because they serve Thai food as well, they're careful to have you choose your heat level. They're happy to give you pepper flakes on the side and Sriracha at the table. But my pho didn't need it. My lunch companion got the rare beef pho. The hot soup came with thin slices of beef wrapping in foil on the side. Drop it in and it cooks. Looked delicious. My pho ga was amazing. I rarely can eat it all, but I did that day. My only minor complaint is that the bean sprouts looked a little less than fresh, but I'm not a big fan of them in soup anyway. Didn't slow me up one bit. But I AM a big fan of their cucumber and tomato salad. Cukes, chopped tomatoes, grated carrots, and maybe grated radish were all dressed with fish sauce, maybe rice vinegar, and a little sugar. If I'd had some cilantro I would have added it; cilantro is expensive these days. Can't blame them for not including it. It may be available by request. Oh, and try the cocktails. I had the tequila cooler and subbed watermelon vodka for cucumber vodka. So refreshing. Go to Boomy's. Get there on one of the few remaining cool days of spring. Or if you come down with a spring cold. Or if you work downtown in an office meat locker, go to warm up from the inside out. It's worth the hunt for parking.
