This review is for the mixology class only. I was excited to make a few different cocktails and was hoping to learn some new things, but this was a very disappointing experience. We made a daquiri, a kamikaze shot, and an espresso martini. These were all very simple and there was very little interaction. All we did was pour the ingredients and shake it up. It would've been much more fun to try more complex cocktails with different elements like garnishes, muddling, etc. read more

It stormed real bad when we were at Vici, but it didn't rain on our parade! We had a truly wonderful experience while there. The drinks are so thoughtfully crafted and delicious. The bar tender took wonderful care of us. It's clear he is passionate about what he does. We had the Savannah sour and the elderflower sour and we loved both. They were so refreshing! We also had the whipped feta app. My friend has a gluten allergy so they brought her cucumber coins and brought me bread. We were so appreciative and it was all delicious. One of the best apps I've ever had. Everyone that works there was so nice. From making sure we loved everything we had, to giving us garbage bags to put over our heads as we dashed to our ride share when it poured and we didn't have an umbrella. This little rooftop bar and restaurant has the feel of "Cheers". Vibrant conversation, friendly servers, and a fun laid back vibe. Our dinner was delicious! My Chicken Piccata was moist and I'd have loved a bit more of the Butter Garlic sauce - so yummy! The Brussel Sprouts the right amount of tender and salt. I truly do not like writing a bad review! We showed up with a reservation there was hardly anybody on the rooftop. There seemed to be a dilemma as to where to seat us. We finally get seated the young girl who was our waitress is not old enough to serve alcohol so we had to wait for someone else to come take our drink order which was fine. Placed our drink order. The espresso martini was extremely watered down and tasted like cold coffee. They were very nice about replacing it with something else For dinner we ordered the filet medallions and the shrimp and scallop pasta. The filet medallions were good nothing outstanding but they were cooked correctly. The shrimp pasta was good the scallops were very very fishy. Well, the place was very quiet/only 2 other couples here (but I won't fault that because it was a 60/50 degree day in Savannah-had not anticipated the colder when I booked flights and reservations here!) But still a cute rooftop! Considering they call themselves a rooftop "cocktail bar"... they had all the ingredients available for a favorite cocktail I wanted and I asked if they could make it, but bartender said he wouldn't make it (not a huge deal, but it was a pretty standard vodka drink-pornstar martini??) Tried three different wines instead, and they were not stellar, but they were ok!l (if you are a wine snob, as we can be, haha, try another place!) My shrimp and scallop pasta came out luke-warm and also missing the scallops, lol. They did bring me some when I asked about it. The whipped feta app was good. For my entree I had. A ceaser salad and a beef carpaccio. The carpaccio was good, homemade crostini. The ceaser tasted like it was drenched in Italian dressing and I didn't eat it. I let the server know and she said dressing was home made. I had a glass of Delta cab which I've never heard of. I didn't care for it, but there was a limited wine selection and I opted to drink it. It was a $16 glass . The markup is pretty insane for a $15 retail bottle. My daughter had a fillet. She to enjoyed it. Tasted grass fed, but appropriate for the price. I asked for the bill and the server said she would ask to have the salad removed as I previously told her I didn't like it. I thanked her. She came back with the bill and said the manager said it won't be removed because the dressing is homemade, so my 3 review went to 2 star. I"ve worked in foodservice for 20+ years and this is pretty absurd to not refund a salad you offered to refund. Businesses run like this don't often survive. read more

Their drinks were great too, we got a lychee martini and a Mezcal margarita, both were well balanced and perfectly done. We also ordered a Brussel sprout pasta dish and we expected full brussel sprouts and it was not, it was mostly pasta with some small pieces of brussels sprouts. While it was delicious it wasn't what we expected and the waiter didn't tell us any different. The only annoying thing was the waiter, Joaquin, he kept coming back too frequently to ask us to order an entrée and we weren't planning to because we just wanted to relax, it was not very busy and we felt like it should be. 5 stars - I LOVE this rooftop bar! It's tucked off MLK Blvd between several buildings. You can hear the bar before you see it. While there isn't a view, it's a quaint modern bar with such a cool vibe. I had some friends in town and we had the most fun at Vici on a Saturday night. There was a live DJ playing the best music. While we didn't get food - the wings looked amazing. I will be back to try their food. Our bartender, Jayden (I believe), was AMAZING. Super attentive, with the best attitude and made the most delicious drinks. He took his time to ensure they were perfect. My new go-to bar! read more

Such a great local roof top spot, ambiance, service and drinks were amazing. Aloft Hotel recommended this location and it didn't disappoint. A 10 minute stroll and we arrived. The Ginger Gin was amazing! Reason for 4/5 stars 1. It was difficult to find the entrance a sign outside of the iron gate is needed to reduce confusion. 2. They didn't have any ceiling fans around the bar area that would be a huge improvement especially in the summer heat. They had large industrial fans but they can block conversation. 3. Food was ok, nachos were lacking authenticity and queso! Oysters were great. Overall a great time was had by all and when in Savannah we Will definitely be back! read more

We spent a whole evening of my bachelorette trip at Vici with Anthony & Veronica and we loved every minute of it. We did the mixology class followed by the spritz tasting. Despite having a large patio and almost no customers, Vici has decided, for reasons beyond comprehension, not to allow dogs. My wife and I were quite surprised by this, especially considering we had taken our dogs there before. We will not be going there again and suggest you do the same. read more

First time visiting Vici while I was vacationing in Savannah. A pleasant little rooftop bar with a great staff. It opened at 5 pm and I got there around 5:15 pm. When I arrived, I was the only patron, which I was fine with. The bartender and some of the staff were chitchatting and grabbing an early dinner. The bartender was attentive to my needs and checked on me at regular intervals. I ordered 2 of the Aque duct cocktail. The bartender made it just a touch sweeter for me upon request. So f-ing good! Then I had the pork belly. It was a little saltier than I'm used to but not unbearably so. It's more of an artful snack than a meal so adjust your expectations accordingly. Afterward, as the second cocktail started to hit, I ordered the cheesecake with a caramel drizzle. It was delicious as well. Two cocktails, an "entree" (small plate really) and a slice of cheesecake = $67. Maybe pricy for some but as someone who doesn't indulge that often or often grabs a cocktail at a bar, I was fine with that pricing. I ended up joining in on the staff conversation about a variety of topics. All great people and good conversationalists. I would come back here again. I did deduct a star because the rooftop view is eh. You're staring at a large building or a sliver of a street corner. Tip #1 - The actual entrance are the metal stairs leading up to the rooftop. Look for the wooden & metal entrance gate. I say this because there are a set of double doors about 20-30 ft away marked "Vici." Tip #2 - There is no parking lot. There is street parking and metered parking. I went on a Saturday. Since these meters south of Liberty street, according to the City of Savannah's website, those meters only run M-F from 8 am to 5 pm. So free parking even tho I was parked on the main, busy street vs the side street that Vici is on. Tip #3 - The bathroom is located inside. You walk past the hostess stand (its straight ahead, can't miss). It takes you into a small well lit area. The bathroom seats are heated! Tip #4 - The food and drink menu are available through a QR code. It takes you to the website. Since I scoped their website earlier, I knew exactly what I wanted when I got there. read more

I have never in my life experienced such an absolute disaster of a dining experience. If this place has a 4+ star rating, I can only assume it's either heavily padded or the kitchen is capable of miracles on some nights. But if one night can be this bad, how good can it really be? Let's start with the most egregious offense: the gall of this place to demand $80 per person two weeks after reservations were made, without any prior notice. A sneaky cash grab conveniently revealed just three days before Valentine's Day--by which point, of course, it was impossible to secure a decent alternative. We were already committed, so paid and hoped for the best. Little did we know, that was only the first of many, many missteps. We arrived dressed for what should have been a special evening, hopes high but very quickly dashed. The timeline speaks for itself: 6:00 PM: Arrived. Fourth party in an almost empty restaurant. 6:15 PM: Water. (Groundbreaking.) 6:20 PM: Drink orders placed. 7:00 PM: Drinks finally arrived. One hour. For a cocktail. 7:30 PM: First course. Hunger setting in. 8:20 PM: Second course. Hopes of an enjoyable evening officially dead. 8:45 PM: Dessert, which at that point felt like a final insult rather than a treat. Nearly two hours with nothing but a single glass of water and one drink. And speaking of water--six separate times we were assured our glasses would be refilled. Six. Every single time, we waited, expected someone to actually follow through, and yet our glasses remained bone dry. By the time we left, we were still sitting with empty glasses. It was almost comical--except it wasn't, because we had just paid a ridiculous amount of money for a supposed "romantic" date night. Now, onto the complete and utter managerial failure. This restaurant was either criminally understaffed or run by people who couldn't empty a boot if the instructions were written on the heel. There was one waitress handling the entire restaurant--one. She was overworked to the point of tears, and we felt terrible for her. The "management" (presumably, we have no idea) swooped in at some point, not to help, but to further derail the entire evening by misdirecting orders and sending cold food back out after it had been rejected by other tables. Speaking of other tables, we were far from the only ones outraged. Nearly half the restaurant complained--loudly. Requests for refunds were met with "Take it up with wherever you purchased tickets."... That would be your resturant my guy. One unfortunate couple next to us sat for over two hours without receiving a single dish (or drink) before they finally cut their losses and walked out, kissing their $200 reservation fee goodbye. The cherry on top? After this miserable slog of a service, two of our drinks were comped (after we asked) as some attempt at damage control. Yet, when the charge hit my account, it was more than what was on the receipt + tip. A simple mistake, or just another sleazy move from a place that clearly has no issue misleading its customers? Who knows. To be fair, the food--when it finally arrived--was good. But "good" is not worth a three-hour wait, a prepaid scam, and the worst-managed service I have ever witnessed. You can find equally good (or better) food at dozens of other restaurants, without having to suffer through a hostage situation disguised as fine dining. Under absolutely no circumstances will I ever return. And if you value your time, money, or sanity, I suggest you don't either. read more

The experience my party and I had at this restaurant was unacceptable on multiple levels and deserves to be acknowledged. We were a group of eight women, celebrating a birthday. It was hard to ignore the stark difference in how other patrons who did not look like us were treated compared to our group. We were overlooked, avoided, and made to feel unwelcome. Whether intentional or not, the experience carried the weight of racial profiling, and that is something that should never be tolerated in any establishment. When the food finally did arrive, it was lukewarm at best and definitely not worth the wait. When addressing our issue to wait staff we were told that a solution to our issue would be to call the police. Dining out should never leave you feeling disrespected or devalued. I hope management takes a serious look at how they treat their guests and addresses the unacceptable gaps in service and equity we experienced. read more

I had two of these and it was perfect every time. nice deep alcohol flavor. It was perfect way to see an apple. Beef carpaccio- delicious! Terrible service. We went for Valentine's Day. they had a special menu and we had to prepay over $200 for two of us. We had a reservation and arrived 10 minutes prior. We were seated and after 30 minutes not a single waitress stopped. So we got our own drinks at the bar. A few minutes later someone dropped off water. We sat with the drinks we retrieved and after more than an hour not a single employee had talked to us. Finally a waitress came, only because the table next to us told her we had not received any service. She then disappeared. I asked to talk to a manager and some man said, I'm acting as that tonight. I told him what has happened and he told me to email to company for a refund then he also asked for me not to talk about this at the bar. He asked me to talk to him outside. Where he preceded to interrupt me and say "send an email." He also said multiple times, "we are busy and I'm trying to catch up but you are preventing me from helping customers." Oh, wait, I'm the reason you're not taking care of customers?? Terrible experience. I would never go back. read more

I hate giving bad reviews, but hopefully this one will give the owners incentive to improve. We live nearby, so we walked over on Friday night. The staff was friendly and there was plenty of seating as there were few people there. The cocktails were drinkable for sure, but the food was just not good. It took nearly 30 minutes to get two bread appetizers. Both were bland, unexciting, and definitely didn't taste fresh. The sauces tasted like they came out of a can.
