Charcuterie board and cheese board

Great vibe, staff, music and drinks! Everyone was welcoming making it feel like I had been there before. Definitely recommend this spot to anyone who is looking for cocktails and good vibes before a night out

Welcome to Savannah, Joe & Vera's! What a nice, local addition to the Broughton Street scene. This small, cozy new spot along historic Broughton Street has high ceilings, features a perimeter banquette with cocktail tables, bar seating for about 12, and a quaint back room for additional banquette seating. The servers were delightful and willing to help, too! Love a classic cocktail or a creative mix, and you'll find your favorite here. Their pretty Clover Club was lovely frothy egg white with gin, raspberry syrup and lemon - Lightly sweet with a touch of tart- a perfect refreshing summer toddy. Hubs loved the James Bond Vesper made with classic English, Gordon's gin! The "Get the Bread" charcuterie was very good - I just want more focaccia bread!! The peppers were sweet and I wanted a plate full!! Welcome to the neighborhood Joe & Vera's! I will return- and bring friends, too!

This place is a gem within our city. The drinks are phenomenal and the food is eclectic and allows lots of variety for your tastes. The servers are fun and informed. Mel is the best. It's a small place with intimate seating and a classy type of decor. If you can this place is where you gotta go if you're a local in the Savannah area. I think this place is just a ton of fun. Come try it out.

A perfect digestif!

Probably the best restaurant in the area. We loved our experience here. It was a little hard to find the place but a mysterious man named Tim told us it was actually just around the corner from what our gps said. He ended up being an amazing host too which was funny because we met him outside of the restaurant first and didn't know who he was (I think he was the owner). But it's really his hospitality that was so enjoyable, the ambiance is also really cozy and refined, and the food and beverages were super well curated and well executed. 10/10! Lovely new place and a perfect atmosphere for my husband's birthday. Great cocktail list.

The cheese board

Joe & Vera's was one of our favorite places while we were in Savannah, the service was phenomenal, super sweet and had great recommendations, the food was delicious, cheese board and the oyster were our favorite. And the place was super quaint, and just so chill

It's located on top of The Alida hotel (also one of my fave boutique hotels) in the historic River Street district. I've had the chance to visit The Lost Square both during the winter and this past week during the summer. They have a great view of the river and cozy lounge seating, as well as a full bar. The first time I visited was near Christmas and it was freezing outside, but they had a burning fireplace and the cutest little enclosed glass houses you could sit in to enjoy your drinks. During my recent visit, we had our 1 yr old son with us and decided to have dinner there and enjoy the weather. I had the Valencian Spritz (reposado, orange aperitif wine, fresh orange, white pepper, and cava) which was the perfect summer drink. My husband had the Soft Light mocktail (zero proof gin, papaya, kefir, and saline). For food, we started with the Labneh dip topped with olive oil, za'atar, and honey with fresh pitas on the side. Wow, this has got to be the best pita I've ever had. They were so fluffy, warm, and well seasoned. We even got a second order. The labneh dip was phenomenal -- highly recommend for an appetizer or just a snack. We also shared to the falafel bites and the Alida Burger which was very tasty! We'll definitely be back for another visit the next time we're in Savannah!

What a beautiful picturesque place to have some bites and cocktails!…read more I was welcomed into this moody, velvety spot with a sweeping view of the river. Beautiful glass, marble, deep colors of navy, mauve, and gold. Service was wonderful, felt welcomed immediately. For my appetizer, I had the crab cake with homemade tartar sauce, which was a light, bright way to start the evening. For my entree, I had the filet mignon. The server will tell you, the menu says tapas, but the servings are larger than that. Meat portions are generous at 6 oz. My only complaint is that I ordered my steak medium and got closer to well done. At least the steak was still moist and not dried out, but I would be hesitant to do the steak again. The spinach risotto I had with it was creamy and cheesy, however, so that was nice. Other options for food include burrata, a charcuterie board, grilled shrimp, sea bass, salmon, scallops. The cocktails are the real star here. They fall under the categories "strong and adventurous," light fare," and "signature." Non-alcoholic cocktails are also available. I started with the medusa 1597, under "strong and adventurous." Made with Old Tom Gin, extra dry vermouth, truffle, grapefruit, and amaro, it was extremely strong. A bold, slow sipper I would have done better to have later in the evening, but I still appreciate the complexity of it. I also had the Bella primavera, a lighter cocktail under the signature section. Made with pisco, blanc vermouth, French herbal liqueur, watermelon, and basil leaf. A smoother, brighter, faster sip than the Medusa. And I also had the blood orange martini, made with French vodka, blood orange, lime, and cranberry. A little sweet, but not cloying, and again, would have been a better starter as opposed to a closer. I think when I return, I will ask the bartender to make me off the menu drinks. This place seems creative enough that the outcome would be fantastic. I loved this place. The vibe, the view, the service, the offerings. Can't wait to see what more they have in store.

Ambiance is prohibition bar vibes so a little more rustic and casual. I was a bit annoyed by the hostess. We had a reservation for our party of 6 and arrived about 15 minutes early. I asked if we could grab drinks at the bar and she kept coming up with excuses on why we couldn't stand or sit in certain areas. Finally, I just asked her to come up with a solution because we had 15 minutes to kill and they didn't have a waiting area. Funny enough, she decided then to get our table ready. It was just odd. Our server was from Ukraine so she was efficient and fast. Not super friendly or chatty with us which missed the mark on Southern hospitality and made our experience feel cold compared to our previous dinner experiences in town. I don't fault her for it though as she did her job. We ordered an excessive amount of starters and some of the entrees. The stand outs for me was the crispy Brussels sprouts, roasted bone marrow, steamed mussels, and grilled octopus. Skip any of the bread options. They weren't even toasted. For entrees, we also decided to share them. The pork chop and NY strip were stand outs. We ended up sending back the halibut. It tasted mealy and freeze burnt. Skip the crispy Japanese eggplant. I was expecting a grilled dish and it was actually fried with a thick batter. Too heavy for my liking. Overall, we enjoyed our meal but not somewhere I am dying to go back to.
