An Incredible Meal, Exceptional Service & the Perfect Soundtrack! Went to dinner recently as a solo. I had heard so much about their short rib and mashed potatoes dish that I had to try it. I requested Rylee as my server. I met her when I had lunch this past year. Rylee is certainly one of the best servers I have ever had. Her recommendations were on point and I cannot say enough about her professionalism, friendly demeanor and menu knowledge. The short rib dish was beyond what I expected and absolutely delicious! Hands down, one of the best meals I have ever had! I also decided to get the flourless chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream for dessert. It was so yummy! I will definitely be back. Love the atmosphere as well and the bar area is inviting. Wait! I forgot one of the best parts! The music! I am a huge fan of alternative music so being able to enjoy my meal to the sounds of New Order's "Ceremony" and then Depeche Mode while finishing my dessert was the cherry on top of the cake! Another visit to Savannah for work. This time, on the last night before heading back home, I ended up here at Ardsley Station, thanks to a coworker who mentioned she loved the food, though it's always been takeout. Locals haven't steered me wrong in the food scene here (so far), so it's where I ended up for dinner. There's a small parking lot, which was full so I found street parking. I didn't see any posted restrictions and I didn't return to a ticket so either I lucked out or there aren't any. Check for yourself. No reservation, but open seating at the bar. That's where I ended up. There's also outdoor seating but you better believe I opted for indoor seating. Took one of the high tables in the bar area. Liv was the bartender and server. She was attentive - even while taking care of what seemed like was the entire bar area. Friendly and knew her stuff. Her cocktails were balanced and though they didn't really pair with my food, I enjoyed them anyway. Food. See pics. Went with deviled eggs, tomato soup and mushroom gnocchi. Simple. Tasty and I'd have them again. Capped the night with a crunch cake (? - don't remember the name) and left feeling great having had a simple, but delicious meal in a lively fun gathering spot. We came here for lunch and had a great time. Our servers were kind and vey helpful. We're both surprised we haven't been here yet given we've lived in the area for a while now. There's a small parking lot behind the building, we arrived right when they opened so we got a spot. But when we left, the lot was full. I think some cars parked on the street, and there's a public parking across from the entrance. I ordered the station burger and my husband got the shrimp and grits. Even though the portion was on the smaller side, He said it might be the best shrimp and grits in Savannah! The burger I ordered was delicious. I also got a few side sauces to dip my fries and they were so good. The inside is on the smaller side, I can see this place getting packed quick, but there are more seats outside. We had a reservation here for a large group while we were visiting Savannah for a bachelorette trip and I'm so glad that they chose Ardsley Station. Our server was so nice and helped us make our choices all night. First we split the meatballs and calamari for appetizers which were both crowd pleasers! We all also ordered drinks from wine to dirty martinis and everyone enjoyed them so much so that they ordered more than one round! For my entree I had the steak and subbed the fries for mashed potatoes. It was fabulous! We decided to try Ardsley Station again during a visit to Savannah. Since it was a late night stop, we decided to share a meal and try something a little different this time. We ordered the short rib with fresh vegetables over mashed potatoes and a side of the truffle gnocchi. The gnocchi was definitely the star of the show. It was soft, pillowy, and perfectly balanced. It practically melted in your mouth, and the truffle flavor was subtle and not overpowering. The short rib was tender, the mashed potatoes were creamy, and the vegetables were nicely seasoned. The only small note was that the carrots could have been cooked just a little longer for my preference. Overall, the meal definitely did not disappoint. We are regulars at Ardsley Station (once or twice a month), and have always had excellent food and service. The atmosphere is great, whether you dine inside or on the patio. The cocktails are always spot-on and the appetizers are delicious (our favorite is the pimento cheese bruschetta). They can provide a great meal for any palate...all the burgers are excellent, but my favorite is the Station Burger with bacon jam. For salad lovers, I recommend the Steak Wedge with tarragon dressing. And for a hearty meal, try their short ribs...one of the top 3 recipes in Savannah! After my review, the owner Tyler reached out personally -- not just with a thoughtful response, but he located my check and issued a full refund without me ever asking for one. But Tyler responded publicly, owned it, and followed through completely. That kind of accountability is rare, and it's what earned the bump. The shishito cream sauce was way too acidic -- tasted like uncooked wine or vinegar. Crispy rice cakes were bland and a strange pairing (rice blocks with salmon?). This is by FAR a top restaurant that I love going to alone and for lunch dates. I always the wedge salad with grilled shrimp + the pasta dish! I've never had any issues with the food. Also the bar tender was super friendly whereas other times the service was a bit on the slower slide two times that I've been. Like -walking past my table to two several times with out checking in/ getting us started. Other than those service run ins this place is gorgeous and I'd highly recommend. read more

Amazing atmosphere sitting on the patio watching the fire, especially with the patio heater keeping me warm as the sunshine settles behind the historic Savannah trees on this warm winter afternoon. The service I had was excellent and paced my meal very well. Enjoyed the discounts from happy hour on my Creature Comforts Tropicália in a nice cold glass and saved a few dollars on my wings as well. Which I then spent on the amazing desert at the end of my meal. The shrimp and grits were timed perfectly as I finished my wings and got a fresh cold glass for my second beer to enjoy with my seafood. The shrimp were plump and juicy and cooked perfectly, I added my leftover blue cheese crumble to the grits which were delicious but the addition of the BC took them to the next level and added more depth of flavor. A wonderful friend and I wanted to have dinner. I'm bougie and he's not. Ardsley station seemed a good compromise for our contrasting styles. They have shareables, such as bruschetta, queso, charcuterie, crab cakes, deviled eggs, duck confit, bbq shrimp, poutine, and so much more. I had the bruschetta, made with pimento cheese, red pepper jelly, and radish. The pimento had a bite and I think they added a little extra spice! Great dish, but would have really put it over the top if the bread was toasted just right. They also have burgers (toppings like pimento cheese, smoked gouda, mushrooms, cheddar, bacon jam), salads (Caesar, wedge, and harvest with fruit, feta, pecans, tarragon, and vinaigrette). They also have the large plates section: mushroom gnocchi, pecan pesto, cauliflower za-atar, bourbon salmon, half chicken, beef short rib, pork chop, rib eye. I had the backyard bolognese, made with pappardelle pasta, 12 hour pork, sausage, and parmesan. Overall a decent dish, had that savory edge to it, but seasoning and that BANG flavor was not there to punch me in the face. My companion enjoyed his shrimp and grits. I had a few of the cocktails. Take me home tonight (cucumber vodka, pomegranate liqueur, cucumber shrub, and lemon) was a hit for my friend, who was looking for something sweet. Miss with me. Cloyingly sweet and not a hint of cucumber anywhere (it's the pink drink the in the photo--tell me how it matches the description). My favorite was the Saturn, made with Ford's gin, passion fruit, orgeat, and lemon. It was the perfect balance of bitter and sweet. The blood orange margarita was a miss. Overall unimpressed by the cocktails I had. Main reason for four instead of five stars: one, it was very crowded, tables close together. We were right on top of our neighbors. Acoustics were rough, as we had to struggle to hear each other speak. And our server was fine, but as the end of his shift approached, he was a little pushy about getting us to go boxes and getting us the check (restaurant wasn't near closing yet). Don't get me wrong--I'm all for letting a server get cut, but he could have just said that, rather than being passive aggressive, but in such an obvious way. This turned out to be our final supper in Savannah. We actually booked this just before heading down to Savannah, so it was certainly a last minute find. It's a cool vibe inside. Diners get a ton of sunlight because of all the windows. We ordered the following items: 1) Jalapeño Margarita: Can never deny one of these. Always hits the mark 2) Truffle Fries: Also hit the mark after a ton of walking around. 3) Pecan Pesto 4) Cauliflower Za'atar I actually spotted the Za'atar when initially reserving the place. We also split the charcuterie board, which could have used a tad more bread (we ended up ordering extra....it's SO good, and house made) but had such a wonderful variety of meats/cheeses and other goodies. It fed 3 people perfectly! We finished off the meal by splitting the Salted Caramel Cake, which was so good that we contemplated ordering a second one. We had an excellent dinner There on Sunday night celebrating a birthday and the holiday season. The service Chance gave us was professional, very friendly, precise and inviting. After driving past this place for the past few years, I finally had the opportunity to give it a try - and I'm very glad we did. It is fantastic. We sat outside on the patio because we brought our dog. The staff were very welcoming of our dog and brought her some water. They also brought a portable heater to our table because it was starting to get chilly. Appetizer course - the muscles with the curry tomato-based sauce is spectacular. I could just eat a loaf of toasted bread and this sauce. A definite recommendation. I had the short ribs which were the special for the evening. They were cooked perfectly, super tender served with garlic mashed potatoes and veggies (carrots, squash and zucchini). She had the pan seared flounder. It was light, crispy and delicious! For a starter, the Pimento Bruschetta is a unique surprise. Great bread and the pepper jelly over the cheese is a nice touch. My partner got the mushroom gnocchi and added shrimp. The sauce was excellent and I even ended up dipping some of my flounder in it. The flounder had a wonderful crisp but the inside was soft and fluffy. Ardsley Station goes above and beyond for their patrons! I've been two separate times, approx. 2 years apart and Chef Tony delivered both times. I confirmed they have vegan options over the phone and the common option is a menu item with substitutions. However Chef Tony came out to my table the 1st visit and talked through a custom vegan dish with me. This recent visit I explained to the server that I was perfectly happy with a normal dish with substitutions but if the chef wanted to make something unique that I was good with that as well. Chef Tony brought the dish out to me and explained what it was. I wasn't being a good listener but it was a combination of mushroom tempura, rice, curry, and a mix of vegetables. It was phenomenal, it had a little spice to it but in a way that really accented the rest of the dish. We will be back again!! We did go a little earlier in the evening on a Friday and they weren't particularly busy. I'm sure they don't always have the availability to do a custom dish like this but we genuinely appreciate it! Grits were perfect and the dish had a lovely, harmonious flavor. I always either start with or add truffle fries, because they hit every time, especially with that aioli. Ardsley Station is a popular spot but my experience was far from welcoming. From the moment we sat down, we were told that we had to be out by a certain time because of another reservation. That immediately set the tone as nothing says "we value you as a guest" like putting a timer on your meal. While I understand they're busy, there are better ways to handle reservations without making customers feel like an inconvenience. This was a spot on my radar however a reservation was hard to get. I took the first one that was available and it was for outdoor seating with a 90 degrees temperature. When we arrived, the hostess was a darling and found us a table inside and we were quite grateful. We ordered 2 old fashions, dirty martini, and a glass of wine. They were good and not too strong. We went for Fathers Day lunch on Sunday. They sat us right away (we had a reservation) and gave us a wonderful corner table. My husband ordered the Biscuits and Gravy and said they were delicious. We made a reservation to celebrate Christmas Eve while visiting Savannah. The experience was amazing. We started with some crab cakes as an appetizer that were simply out of this world, a charcuterie board that was both beautifully plated and filled with delicious cheeses, cold cuts, bread, and other treats. Followed by braised ribs in a bourbon sauce that melted in your mouth. My son and I ordered steak with truffle-parmesan fries, and my husband ordered the local flounder. Service was great from the host that greeted us to our server. The dining experience was fantastic, especially with the cold weather outside and the fire pit burning, creating the perfect atmosphere.
