The staff here is impeccable. Friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. Everyone we encountered was professional and went out of their way to be helpful. The drinks were excellent. I am not ashamed to admit that I really liked my wife's Pink Lady. My old fashioned was nicely unusual. The she crab was so good! And the BLT salad was also enjoyable. My shrimp and grits were a bit unusual - the grits were basically like a French toast. But I liked it!! Only thing I would change is - pass on the fried green tomatoes appetizer. It was good but you get fried green tomatoes in pretty much every other dish. Highly recommended as a lunch if you want to celebrate or just treat yourself. And Carmen - you were great!!

The Olde Pink House was recommended by a good friend from IL. We are here from AZ for a few days, so my husband made a lunch reservation. Our server, Carmen was so pleasantly helpful when choosing our dishes and checking to see if we were happy or needed anything. We split a few appetizers. We had the Low Country She Crab Soup, Fried Green Tomato w/Smoked Bacon & Sweet Corn Cream, and the BLT salad. For drinks my husband had an Old Fashion and I had the Pink Lady. There was so much flavor in our dishes. The Pink Lady was sooo good, but it is a sweet drink (pink lemonade w/raspberry vodka). The dishes are not oversized, but just right. We wanted to try the dishes we read about online. We split our appetizers and ordered off the lunch main dishes. For the main lunch dish, my husband had the Shrimp and grits with collard greens. He does not like collard greens, but he did these!! He said if all collard greens tasted like this, he'd eat more of them. The cheese grits were great too. I had the crab cake, which is the size of a green tomato. The crab cake was in between two fried green tomatoes and topped with a green remoulade. It was served with fries, but you can change it for something else. It is a bit pricey at $24.95. I feel it should have been the price of the appetizers. We enjoyed our server,Carmen, the dishes, our drinks, and the ambience of the Olde Pink House. It's pretty pricy $$, but we enjoyed it.

What an amazing dinner experience! The Olde Pink House certainly lives up to the hype! From the ambience, service, and food everything was absolutely top-notch. Dinner at The Olde Pink House feels less like a meal and more like stepping into a piece of living history. Built in 1771, this iconic blush-colored mansion was originally the home of James Habersham Jr., one of Georgia's early leaders and yes, you can feel that old-world Southern charm the moment you walk in. Each room has its own personality, from elegant candlelit dining spaces upstairs to the cozy, almost secretive vibe of the basement tavern. It's the kind of place where you don't just sit down to eat, you want to explore. The food leans heavily into elevated Southern classics. Think rich shrimp and grits, perfectly cooked fried chicken, and their famous pecan-crusted fish. Every dish my group shared was absolutely delicious with generous portions and well executed flavors. My grouper was divine. Drinks were strong without being overbearing. One of the coolest details? The house is rumored to be haunted, and the staff will casually share stories if you ask. Our server Briana was able to give us an entire narrative on all the interesting rooms and details of the house. You can tell history is a passion of hers. Definitely request her! She is a gem! We spent a good portion of our post dinner just exploring the other rooms and stumbled upon the underground bar and cellar. Everything felt like more than just a dinner, it was certainly an experience. 100 out of 10 recommended.

What an experience! We came for lunch and I had no issue getting a reservation a few weeks in advance. They have a handicap accessible entrance and there is an accessible bathroom, but the place is a maze! Lots of stunning rooms across multiple floors and hallways. Take some time walking around to see the other rooms if you can! sour waitress was so friendly and helpful. The pink lemonade cocktail was delicious as expected. The food was good, southern focused of course. Fun experience when you're visiting.

First things first. If you want to eat here, you need to plan ahead and make reservations (unless of course you want to go at an off time or really late). We were there for a conference and luckily someone made a Friday night reservation months in advance. It's funny that an Uber driver for one person in the party commented to not eat here because it's a tourist trap. Well I'm glad that we ate here. The service was awesome and the food and cocktails were great. Was it pricy? I'd say slightly but given the great service, great food, and great cocktails, it was a good value. I'm not sure if this is an every night occurrence but there was a female singer roaming the floor also. She had a booming voice. We were in a semi-private room and she came in to check in on us a few times which was really nice. I had a Bloody Mary and it was really good with a good amount of heat and generous vegetables. For dinner, I ordered the Crab Stuffed Grouper special. The portion size was good and it sat atop mashed potatoes alongside green beans. My plate was clean! Several people ordered the shrimp and scallop fettuccine and like my plate, those plates were also clean. It would have been nice to stay for dessert but most folks were stuffed so we decided to end the evening there.

Made reservations for The Olde Pink House for lunch while visiting. The inside looks amazing. Old time house with multiple rooms and dining areas in each one. Feels very unique and welcoming. The staff are very kind and welcoming. The experience does feel special and more grand than a standard restaurant lunch. The food was good. The crab beignets were especially good. Our food did seem to take a rather long time to come out as the lunch itself took almost 2 hours by the time we left. It's a special place so expect to pay a premium but they'll treat you well while you're there.

Had a nice day visit the Historic District and stopped in for lunch. We were celebrating our anniversary, and decided the Olde Pink House was a great choice. The servers offered us a few different choices for tables. They had a table in the main upstairs dining room and we were escorted upstairs. The mansion is stunning and really makes you look around amazed. After we were seated Jaden came by to talk to us, and take drink orders. We tried the Pork Nachos, as per Jaden's recommendation. So delicious! Next up was the Shrimp and Grits and the Fish of the Day Sandwich. The shrimp and grits had such a beautiful presentation. The grits were a grit cake, with the shrimp on top, with collard greens on the side. Amazing flavor, so delicious. The fish sandwich was delicious. I had mahi mahi with a flavorful dressing, and a side of spinach. The mahi was huge and perfectly cooked on a tasty brioche roll. Since we were celebrating our anniversary we decided on dessert. Before our dessert came, they brought a candlestick to the table. Nice touch. We had the Peanut Butter and Praline Mousse bombe. Outstanding! So rich and delicious. We had the Key Lime Pie with fresh whipped cream. So yummy. Jaden suggested we take a look around the mansion before we left. We looked at different dining rooms, the bar area, and the basement. So interesting! If you want to explore the house, get down to the basement to look around at all the wine, the bar area, and the atmosphere. So incredible and fun. Thanks for a memorable experience. Certainly will not forget it, and will definitely come back for another time when we are in Savannah again. 5 Stars

After so many outstanding reviews saying this is a must stop restaurant in Savannah, somewhat disappointed in our first meal of the trip. Our server Wendy was excellent but the food fell short. Drinks were great, we tried the planters punch and pink lady. For apps we got the low country she crab soup and the crab cakes, both delicious and also the homemade biscuits- chefs kiss, perfect! The entrees we ordered the filet mignon and special stuffed grouper, but a long lag of probably 30 mins between apps and entree was unexpected. Our server apologized but once food came out both were more room temp than hot off the stove sadly. Based on their prices and difficulty getting reservations you would expect a lot more as far as food quality, timing and temperature. The experience left a lot to be desired. The nail in the coffin was looking down and seeing a roach sneak by, I couldn't eat any more food after.

Stopped in as soon as they opened at 11: 00AM for lunch, which our friend who lives close by said that's the first time he's actually made it in. For dinner, all those dining rooms in the pictures get filled! As elegant and beautiful on the inside as the front of that historical negatives on the outside. Food was excellent and service was impeccable. Drinks were tasty without being overdone or too sweet. All in all a great experience and our friend who lives close by was happy to get in for the first time even though he's lived 100 mi away for 5 years!

Great food, service and ambience. This is a must-do for a taste of old Savannah. If you just want drinks and an appetizer, or if you don't have a reservation (a must) then the downstairs bar is a wonderful option. The outside area is nice, but there is also usually a wait and doesn't have the ambience of the Pink House or downstairs bar. Expect to pay for the experience, but with it.

I treated myself to lunch at The Old Pink House and it was simply wonderful. From the moment I walked in the staff couldn't have been nicer or more welcoming. My server was a very knowledgeable young man named Jaden and he helped me decide on a few things ..and his recommendations were spot on! I got the BLT salad and the pulled pork nachos and found that I was nodding my head and saying "yes" in my mind with each wonderful bite. The ambiance was super welcoming and though the dining area is formal do not hesitate to stop in and enjoy some real culinary delights even if you are wearing sneakers.

As an lifelong avid patron of local restaurants, no matter where I travel, I encounter a plethora of dining establishments. For the life of me, I can't grasp any experience at the Olde Pink House as anything less than special. First, our server Brianna was excellent. In addition to her attentiveness, she never hesitated at getting answers to questions in which she didn't have expertise. Her manager, Justin, Aldo made multiple table visits to ensure our dining experience was exceptional. The food was outstanding, both my wife's salmon and my grouper. Perfectly cooked, with balanced textures and flavors. Our blackened oyster appetizer was also excellent. Even their biscuits were among the best I ever had. The wine list is not as extensive as other restaurants of similar class, but its diversity exceeded many of those others. Having access to a Spanish voldeorras was a real treat! On our next visit we plan on dining in the historic basement tavern. The candlelit walls and tables appear to take it back in time. As a side note to gentleman diners, if you're not comfortable in a tie maybe you can at least find a shirt with a collar. And maybe leave the ball caps at home. Dress for the environment, man!!

One of Savannah's tradition is The Olde Pink House. Built in the 18th century - this house serves today as a restaurant. Originally this home served as a colonial mansion, with most rooms today serving as dining spaces. Staff is nice and friendly, and although reservations are preferred, we walked in without one and got seated promptly. Restaurant has a great deal of wines, cocktails on the menu as well as beers. Food is typically southern! Think shrimp, crab, fish, pot pies and local salad offerings. Deserts are also good with pecan pie, key lime pies... All in all a fantastic place!!!!

The Olde Pink House Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - The Olde Pink House

What is the best dining area for dinner for 2? Do they have live music? If so, what days and time?

The 'cellar bar for a cozy throwback old time feel. A second floor dining room if you want to feel catered to and cared for.

We are traveling through and only packed jeans. Would we be too casual?

    You can wear jeans

    Is there a kids menu?

They don't have a paper one, but the server can tell you options. I believe my kids had Mac and cheese and chicken tenders.

Has anyone had Thanksgiving Dinner here? Is it a fixed menu or do they offer the regular menu? We have made reservations and it's our Anniversary so we're really looking forward to this with our young adult Marine grandson. TYIA

How do I get a reservation downstairs at the tavern in the little wine room?

I'm sure you can call the restaurant and request downstairs. Do it soon though because they get booked up pretty fast.

What time do you need to be in line to go to the basement?

It varies by time/day. We went on a Thursday night. We had a dinner reservation for 8:30pm and arrived early at 7:00pm. We put our name in at the bar. We had a seat at the bar by 7:30pm, and they brought us from the bar over to the table when the… Read more

    Do you need reservations?

Yes. Book reservations weeks-months in advance, especially if on the weekend. Use OpenTable.

Which room is best to be seated at for lunch reservation?

Do you have experiences with how helpful they are with allergies? I'm looking for Gluten and Corn free options.

I do not have allergies so I cannot speak on specifics, but our waitress was sure to ask if we had any and if there was anything they had to tell the chefs.

Is there a dress code? If so what is it?

Not specifically. But, it's a nice place, so you should dress nicely.

    Is there outdoor dining?

Yes (sidewalk) but there is still a wait time of approximately 30-40 minutes. It's worth it!

    Do you take walk ins?

Yes they do but I would arrive as soon as they open so that you get on the list. Arriving later does not guarantee you a seat

    Are jeans appropriate?

There is no dress code. You will see men wearing khaki shorts and a polo up to those wearing a jacket and tie. Jeans are fine.

    Is it handicap accessible?

While most of the dining area is upstairs, there is an elevator available for handicapped persons.

Is there live music and if so, which day of the week and what time?

Sometimes they have a singer an piano player in the lounge downstairs.

Are there gluten free options or chicken pot pie made GF?

There are GF options, but do not know if CPP is available GF?

Are dogs allowed for outside seating?

I do not think they have outdoor seating.
