I wanted to like it here but just couldn't. They have a nail tech with horrible nail fungus. He uses the nail file on his fungus nails while he's waiting for your nails under the heat lamp, then he tried to use it on my nails. It was nasty! Gross! read more

I've been coming to Dublin Nails for the past 6 years and today was the last day. I came in for my gel manicure and the nail tech spent about 5 minutes filing and buffing them (she normally takes her time) they were rough and uneven so I asked the second technician to fix them. She did an okay job so she began to paint them. As she was painting them the paint began to separate on my nail and it was the WORST paint job I've ever seen. I asked them to redo it with a separate color and at first she said she won't switch the color so I insisted. A new technician came and took over, they turned out just ok. My nails were buffed so raw that by the time I left they hurt. They are priced low but the products are horrible quality (gel won't last more than a week). Sad to say but I will not be returning. read more

I used to go to Good Nails in Dubin, but the service was terrible....then I tried Bollinger Nails....ok, but pricey. A friend recommended Dublin Nails and having been going ever since. They are organized and polite and do a good job. The owner is a man, and there is another guy who works there. When I get him, I sometimes have to ask him to ease up on the leg massage....his hands are so strong he could tear a phone book in half! The massage chairs work well, and they have a good selection of OPI nail polishes. My pedicure looks good for a long time. I don't get manicures; I work in the garden too much to be bothered. read more

I would recommend Dublin Nails to everyone! My two favorites are Tien and Minh. Tien is the BEST, and my nails always look great. Minh gives the BEST pedicure in the world, and he even painted cute octopi on my toenails! They are always nice, gentle, and do excellent work. I've been to this place twice. Both times my nails looked fine, but it was other things that bothered me. They have poor service, an unfriendly atmosphere, and a very dirty salon. When you walk in, there is no one that welcomes you, until you awkwardly stand there and one of the workers turns around and asks what you want as if they are annoyed. Sitting down with my manicurist, she looked stern. I tried to make conversation, in which she shot down with one word replies. When she did my nails, my purse fell from my lap and coins rolled out onto the ground, in which the lady stared at me all wide eyed, and sat there watching as I struggled to pick up all the coins with my freshly glued on fake nails. She is inconsistent about the price, saying that she has to add on $5 for certain things like shaping nails that take longer than not shaping them. The price is good compared to other better salons, which mine was $25 and $30 the second time, but the salon itself is dingy, the walls look dirty, and i was happy to get out of there. I went in to get my nails done before New Year's Eve. I asked for a new set. I had an old set on that had been on for 3 fills already it was time to get new nails because I had broken 3 nails already. The man who did my nails started repairing my broken nails first. Then started to fill the rest. I asked him are you taking those off I want a new set. He gave me some excuse that these will be fine. They will hold. I came back two days later with a broken nail. I told them this is why I wanted a new set. I paid $40 for a fill and a new set would have been $48 which seems so high for a new set. And then she tried to tell me my nails broke because they were too long. I've always had this length. It was simply bc I needed a new set and they were too lazy and busy to give me what I wanted. It's been a week and a half now and I have 3 more broken nails. I will never go back here. Horrible customers read more

So I came here after work for a mani and shellac was $50 my jaw was on the floor because it was nothing special. I should have left when I noticed the water in the bowl was dirty, I had someone's long hair in it and looked like dust or cuticles in it. The man that did my nails was really quick and didn't care my skin and nail stuck together because of the shellac. I asked him to fix it and he didn't understand. I also niticed the tools never came out of a bag. Not going back for that price and never putting my toes in danger again. read more

I haven't been here in a long time since I moved far away but I still remember this as my favorite place for acrylics. I always went to the two male technicians, particularly the older one. He knew just how to give my nails the perfect arch and the perfect shaped tip to make them look thin and almost natural but still long - just ask for "thin." Everyone always thought they were gels. Went back this past week with 2 friends. Ladies treating the oldies at the salon so sweet again! I love the extra care they give them! I received a nice pedicure with a great foot/leg massage. I recently went to get my usual monthly pedicure, and I recieved an infection shortly after on several of my toes. I used to love this nail place due to it being afforable and the nice massage I recieved, but after getting an infection and the rudeness I experienced from the nail techs...I will not be returning. I would much rather pay more to get my nails done than listen to a bunch of ladies speak in a different language about customers and give dirty looks. Stay far way! read more

Tan did my nails about a month ago. I'm going back this week to get a fresh set. I've never lasted with nails for over 2 weeks! When he did my nails he didn't try to rush and you can tell he cared about how they were going to look at the end. (they aren't rough with you nor do they get annoyed over little things!) One star for the actual salon, the place is old and warn and not a place to go when you want to be pampered. One star for the fact they use the same disgusting pumice stone on every client. I was really disappointed this time at Dublin nails. I went in to get a mani/pedi for my wedding the next day with 3 friends of mine. I raved about the place because the first time I came they were incredible. I wanted to get a flower done on my big toes and on my ring fingers and even had a picture they could go off of. I'd seen their work before and thought it was similar to what I'd seen and thought they could handle it. I was wrong. The guy I had messed up and had to redo the flower on my tow probably about 8 times and it still didnt look like what I wanted. I gave up and just said it looked great because I had a lot of other things to do that day. My friend got better flowers than me but she got a terrible fill. I was really disappointed. I even mentioned this was for my wedding, you would think they would've gone above and beyond but they didnt unfortunately. A waste of $80. Not sure I'll be back there neither will the 3 girls I came with. :( read more

I just moved here from San Mateo and have been looking for a good nail salon. Dublin Nails is clean, basic, and efficient. They have 2 flat screen TVS and brand new spa chairs. The nail technicians did a nice job, good massage on hands and feet, pushed back my cuticles and painted them well. $30 for a mani/pedi is fantastic. I think this is going to be my go to nail place. I tried Synergy Nails before here and although Synergy had a spa-ish environment and the workers were very nice, the quality of nail proficiency wasn't as detailed and thorough as Dublin Nails. read more

Got a mani, pedi and wax. My nails don't usually hold color but so far my French mani is holding up after 4 days. I got an amazing leg/foot and hand/arm massage. I went on a Monday early afternoon so maybe that's because they were slow. The prices versus the quality is MUCH better than what I was getting at Bollinger Nail Salon. I came here for the first time on a Thursday afternoon for a mani & pedi and it was quite busy. Luckily I was able to be seated immediately before a few more people arrived after me who had to wait and the customers continued coming in. Seeing this I figured I came to the right place but I was wrong. When I go to a salon, I like the personal experience of being pampered by one person. I noticed it is custom here for one person to service your pedi while another serviced your mani and add one more for a design and this started to make me feel claustrophobic and nowhere ever did I feel that way. I felt obligated to tip all three and which I did generously. However, the manicurist who did my pedicure was not satisfied with an $8 tip and gave me attitude for it. A feeling I was left with afterwards was this place works some kind of scheme with the way they do things because how did I pay about a total of $20 tip for a $45 service?! To make my experience worse, I was left with chipped nails on 8 fingers TWO days later at my brothers getaway wedding and had to quickly find a place to give me another manicure. I have my favorite people that I request and when they are not available and someone else does my nails I'm usually disappointed. They are not all at the same level of expertise. Visited a few weeks ago as they were open a little later than my usual place (plus looking for something different). Either way, I think I was expecting something a little nicer based on the reviews. Pretty run down looking building and the salon wasn't much better. Got a shellac mani and pedi. The overall experience was OK. The shellac was decent and has lasted like 3 weeks without chipping. I also liked how the technician gave my feet a thorough scrubbing during my pedi ;) The massage chair was INTERESTING to say the least. Never sat in a chair where they had massage rollers for your bottom LOL If you're looking for ambiance, this is not the place. If you want quick and decent job, give them a try. read more

I LOVE this place for acrylic with gel overlay. Larry is the best. Unfortunately I commute from Southern California (Orange County) to Mountain View weekly. I was unable to find any place close to my work off 101 and saw a great nail job on a friend up here. She referred me to Larry and if I was able to get there weekly, this would be my go-to nail place forever. The nails look natural, they are thin and do NOT lift. I am forever trying to get back there except that my schedule does not allow it as I work and live too far for weeknight drives. If you can go, GO and ask for Larry. Back when I used to live in Dublin, this was the only place I would go to. They are just the best. Their prices are really good too, I think I paid $30 or $35 for crystal with french tips (in San Jose that costs like $50). I used to get artificial nails here and they were always perfect. No bubbles, no irregular edges no peeling by the cuticles. Just perfect. I'd recommend going to the two guys who work there, especially the older one (I forget his name but he's a perfectionist). They're both so nice and super skilled. Plus, they recently remodeled the place so it's cute. They also are cool about you walking in without an appointment but you may have to wait a little and you might not get your choice of technician. read more

Amazing attention to detail and the ladies are very careful and thorough in sloughing away dead skin, providing excellent leg massages and they offer a great array of nail colors. I went to get my eyebrows done and when she was done i looked in the mirror i was telling her there's no arch and one side is longer than the other side i just didn't like them at all. So I than asked if they can be fixed first she was like oh there fine but i didn't like them and that's all that matters. So she said do you want me to get someone who can fix them i said yes so 3 minutes later some other lady came and said they looked fine to me and tried to fix them but they looked the same so i was like its okay you can't fix them.I didn't like how i wasn't satisfied and they kept telling me it's fine it's fine it's fine and they wasn't. They are very pushy and that was my last time going there they will not get my hard earned money again. read more

Other reviews say the wait is long, but that is never true if you make an appointment and show up on time. I love the family atmosphere and have never left unhappy. I had a pretty terrible experience at this place for multiple reasons. I'm usually one to give everyone the benefit of the doubt, so I kept telling myself that maybe it's alright. But then when I walked out of that place feeling bleh..I realized that No, there's way better nail salons that don't even charge as much and make you feel so much better. So here's my reasons why. #1, I felt rushed at this place, even though they had other empty chairs, it's like they want to get rid of you as soon as possible. Everyone was working on me at the same time while I was in the chair. A guy was doing my feet, awkwardly balancing the UV machine on his lap, while another lady was working on my hands. It didn't feel like a relaxing experience as it should be, felt like they just want to get you outta there asap. 2nd, when I was getting my gel nails on, the ladies kept talking Vietnamese amongst each other. While I understand that's common for nail salons, and many jokes made about it, I don't understand why they still do it!! At this place I felt uncomfortable, like they were discussing me, kept glancing at me while talking in their language. Is it really that difficult to understand that it's completely unprofessional and makes your clients uncomfortable?! I mean really though..At this point I just wanted to be done and outta there. I got plain color on both feet and hands, no designs or anything, and paid $60. Which I guess is somewhat average, IF you get a great job, which it wasn't. The shellac quality was horrible. I got it done for a trip to Europe, on about day 3-4 I started getting tiny bubbles in the polish, the color stopped looking fresh and the nude pink started looking dirty. Then by end of week 1, it started coming off the edges. When I get my shellac nails done at other places, it lasts beautifully for 3-4 weeks until I get tired of it and take it off myself. Overall, not the greatest salon for many reasons! Will be taking my business elsewhere. read more
