Had a great experience today with Dublin Mazda, and was converted into a manual driver after not being able to pass on a great deal. Thanks, Kaz Hartstra and the Mazda family at Dublin Mazda for expanding my horizons with my "new" Mazda 3! read more

WOW what a difference! I drove to Dublin Mazda from LA to buy a car because I got a better deal and I was treated with courtesy, respect and honesty by Juan Vasquez, Internet Sales Manager, through all my dealings with them. I car shopped for 6 weeks in So Cal and was real disappointed with the pressure, obvious sales tactics and just plain ego I encountered. I found the exact car I wanted at dealers in LA and Orange County. I did my homework and found the fair market price, but they refused to come down, even after telling me straight up they had room to negotiate. An Orange County Ford-Mazda dealer told me his Certified Used car with low miles was basically a new car and priced as new. I tried a few more times by email and phone calls to negotiate on the car, but they refused to move even one dollar from the listed price and would not sell it to me unless I paid what they dictated! Dublin Mazda had the same car and were willing to negotiate. I needed some help with the financing because my credit's not perfect. The Finance Manager worked hard to get me the lowest rate possible. Dublin Mazda really understands customer service and delivers it before, during and after buying a car. Its a no-brainer, don't you think? read more

I left voice messages regarding APR at 4 Mazda dealerships around the Bay Area and this was the only place that returned my call. So I thought it earned my business. So I went there and was greeted by Jim Anthony and Michael Barrilleaux. Unlike many car salesmen I had met, these two gentlemen were very professional. Throughout the whole car buying experience, I felt so comfortable; there was no pressure whatsoever. I ended up getting a brand new CX5 Touring and have been very happy with it. read more

I had done some research on line and decided that I wanted to buy a Mazda CX 5. I took the kids and went to the dealer closest to my home...and left without even taking a test drive. It was not a pleasant experience and I was dreading looking for another Mazda dealer, but I decided to try again out in Dublin - and I am so glad that I did! I had a great experience at Dublin Mazda - Kaz was our salesperson and he was very thoughtful and encouraging without being pushy at all. He asked relevant questions about what I was looking for in a car, he didn't try to talk me into anything or shake his head with the "you're just a dumb woman, you don't know what you want" look...I appreciated his respectful attitude immensely. The finance person, Big Mike, was similarly helpful and respectful. He didn't try to sell me anything I didn't want and made the financing process quick and painless. I traded in my other car and drove off the lot in just a few hours and have been driving happily ever since. read more

Jim is great. Helped us a lot in picking a car. Gave us good pricing. We had to pick a car urgently and he stayed late to help is out. He got us the rates we asked for and he negotiated on our behalf with his manager. Great customer service. Appreciated. read more

This car dealership is FANTASTIC!!! I just bought a new CX5 Grand Touring from Dublin Mazda. The sales people were kind, courteous, knowledgeable and very professional. The sales managers were polite and extremely helpful. The finance guy was efficient and quickly had all the paper work done and ready for signatures. The entire experience was a pleasure. Five stars are not enough but that's the most I can give them. Awesome dealership!!!! read more

Overall I had an excellent experience at Ken Harvey's Dublin Mazda. This was my first new car buying attempt and I was successful in purchasing a 2014 CX-5. My first visit involved an enjoyable test drive of the CX-5 with Jason K. who was friendly and very informative about the vehicles features. After an exhaustive review of other vehicles in the same class, I returned a week later and spent the afternoon with George L. to have another look. George was very supportive and patient in allowing me to make a decision and find the car I wanted. I then worked with George and Reyes G. to smoothly continue with the purchase :) I felt comfortable the whole time. The dealership is very clean and everyone that I met was easy to talk to and friendly. Of course this was on a weekday so things were relatively relaxed. George has followed up with me a few times since my purchase to ensure that everything was going OK. I get a sense that the staff really cares about the customers experience and well being. Looking forward to my 1000 mile check up visit! read more

After driving around various dealerships and test driving a range of cars, we were pleasantly surprised at the way we were treated at Dublin Mazda and Jim, the Salesperson we worked with. Other dealers were the typical "pushy" type and one guy would never give ANY time for my wife and I to just converse with each other; Jim was quite the opposite. Pleasanton, helpful, professional, but gave us space when required. We finally purchased a 2015 Mazda 6 last night with a MiniCooper S trade-in and enjoyed the entire process. From the dealership itself, to Jim, and to the Finance department, it was a breath of fresh air. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a car. And if you didn't consider Mazda in the past, then you should; they drive so nicely and are very reliable. read more

We had a great experience buying our latest car at Dublin Mazda. Allan Bentley helped us find the perfect car, a 2014 Mazda CX-9. Mr. Bentley and the rest of the staff worked very hard to earn our business, providing us with respect and a great price on a new car. We had two other dealers in our search and Dublin Mazda is by far the most professional and most interested it selling cars! Thanks to the folks at Dublin Mazda. We love our new car except the ipod interface. That's Mazda's problem, though. read more

6 months ago bought my car here. Best car buying experience EVER! Recently brought it in for its 1st service. Best service experience EVER! Just this week brought it in to have the Cila Jet applied to the paint and interior. Best service EVER! Super friendly, professional and quick. Came back because we needed to replace our old Nissan Maxima that was on its last leg. No regrets. We shopped around all weekend and decided to make Dublin Mazda our last stop (save the best for last?). My wife and I were here two years ago and our experience was positive and hassle-free. Our sales rep., Bruce, was helpful and easy to talk to. Unlike the three other dealerships we visited over the weekend, they did not pressure us into signing for a car we weren't 100% in on. We told Bruce what we were looking for, gave our budget, and he was able to come close. The deal was slightly above our budget but we went with it because we want to stay with a company that treats their customer right. We definitely recommend and will come back. read more

I had a very good experience yesterday purchasing a 2017 Mazda 3 GT Hatchback at Dublin Mazda. My sales person was Troy. He provided excellent service. He was extremely knowledgable about the vehicle and had a great test drive route mapped out to showcase the performance and features. I went in thinking I wanted Snowflake White and I ended up getting Machine Gray, because it's a great color. It really needs to be seen in person. I already worked out the price via e-mail prior to arriving to the dealer. The manager agreed to match the price that I was quoted by other dealers even though he felt it was low. I only have two criticisms about the process which is why I am rating 4 stars. The first was dealing with my trade. I traded in an older vehicle and they didn't offer me much for it. I was able to negotiate this a bit. I went along with it even though I didn't get what I wanted for it, because I didn't want to deal with selling it privately. The other criticism is that the dealer already had the rear windows tinted, and wanted an arm and a leg for it. I can't stand when dealers install stuff to drive up profits. Thankfully, I actually wanted the windows tinted, and was able to negotiate this as well. Troy was a great advocate with the manager. Getting the paperwork done was painless. Johnny from finance was great. As expected, he tried to sell me the typical stuff including extended warranty, pre-paid maintenance, paint protection, GAP insurance, etc. He took the time to explain them all in detail and was respectful of my decision to decline. When Troy delivered the vehicle he spent time explaining all of the important features in detail and answered my questions. I am very happy. This was a relatively pain-free, smooth car-buying experience. I was only in the dealer for a few hours. I love my new 3. If you looking to buy a Mazda go see Troy! read more

After extensive research, my husband and I decided just to "take a peek" at a Mazda CX9 to kill some time on New Year's Eve. As soon as we approached the Dublin dealership entrance we were welcomed by Keith, but not in an aggressive sales way. We told him exactly what we were interested in and he brought us a car to test drive right away. Since we had our children with us my husband and I took separate test drives, during both test drives he was incredibly informative and professional. He described all of the "bells and whistles" and knew exactly what to have my husband and I test out (U-turns, flooring the gas, etc...). The whole time we did not feel pressured by him at all, in fact while my husband and I were discussing things we had to keep reminding ourselves that we couldn't make a decision based on how much we liked Keith. While my husband "worked the numbers" with Keith my girls played in the children's area, there was plenty of room for them to play, kid friendly seating and a tv. It made waiting much easier for all of us. My husband does not enjoy the car buying experience normally, but he said that this was the least stressful car purchasing experience he has ever had. Keith even stayed after closing on New Year's Eve to make sure we worked out all the kinks. We returned the next day and there were no hidden tricks or last minute changes. We traded in my previous Mazda 3 and signed all the paperwork. Not only was Keith excellent at his job, he went above and beyond to make us happy, he even helped put the car seats in the new car and bought my daughter a hat she liked! Thank you so much for everything! I absolutely love my new car and I will definitely be returning to the Dublin dealership and Keith when looking for another car. Also, Dublin is pretty far out of our way, we happened to be in that area that day but we live in Cupertino, all I can say is that it was worth the drive! The local dealership (Oaktree Mazda) right down the street would not try to make a deal with us at all and blew my husband's emails off. Take the extra time and go to Dublin! Ask for Keith Morita!!! read more

This is definitely the place to buy a car! Everyone I came into contact with was genuinely nice and helpful. Rosie was great, she too the took time to explain the different types of coverages to me even though she had just gone through them all a few minutes before. Gregory was so nice and took me around until I found the car I wanted to take a closer look at. The stand out guy was Troy Dunlop. He went above and beyond any customer service experience I've ever had. Troy was so helpful and I never felt pressure to purchase the car. When we got back to the office, he took time and went through different purchasing options with me, still not pressuring me to buy anything extra, but explaining the benefits of the different options. You can tell he really enjoys his job and helping people get the car that's right for them. read more

Yesterday I barely purchased a CX-5 from Dublin Mazda. I say barely because there was a point in the process where both my wife and I almost walked out the door. My wife and I have owned a Mazda 6 for six years now, and we'd been considering replacing my old Saturn with another Mazda. Originally we looked at CX-7 models, but when we first heard about the CX-5, it seemed to be the perfect match to what we were looking for, so we waited for the CX-5 to be released. We live in Modesto, but we often travel to Dublin/Pleasanton. Several months ago we were in Dublin and decided to stop by Dublin Mazda on a whim to see more CX-5's in the various colors. We met Michael Barrilleaux, production specialist. Michael is the best thing at Dublin Mazda. We explained to Michael what we were there to do, and he responded by showing us all the CX-5's. I had been following the CX-5 since before it was released, so I am very informed about the CX-5's features. In Michael, I found someone who knew even more. We informed Michael that we wanted a CX-5 in a specific color with specific features. He wrote it down, along with my name and contact information. When we made it clear we wouldn't settle for anything but that particular color and feature set, he said he would let us know if one arrived. Michael touched base with me several times over several months to see if anything had changed and to verify that I was still looking for that exact car. Last Wednesday, my car rolled off the truck. Michael called me that day. I said I was very interested in seeing the car, and would attempt to see it this weekend. We told me to call him before I drove out so that he could make sure he had the car ready for me. Saturday I called Dublin Mazda, and I made the mistake of asking for Michael in sales. The receptionist thought I was referring to the used car sales manager, who was out for the day, so she referred me to Reyes Garcia, the sales manager. This is where my experience goes downhill. Reyes had the car ready for me when I arrived, and we took it for a test drive. When we returned to the show room, I was ready to purchase. Reyes started the process with me, but I noticed Michael across the room and waved to him. After getting financial information from us, Reyes left to work out an offer. Michael came over and started talking to us, and I felt much more comfortable with him. Reyes seemed too eager to make a sale, but Michael seemed like he genuinely wanted to help me. The point where my wife and I almost walked was when Reyes returned with the offer. He placed it in front of us and immediately started pointing out the monthly payment side of the sheet. I looked over, and I noticed that the price of the car listed on the offer was raised $2000 over MSRP. Reyes seemed surprised and alarmed that I even noticed, and when I asked him about the markup he just told me it was market value. Being an informed customer, I knew that CX-5s are selling fast. Reyes seemed to think that meant he could raise the price of the CX-5, but if you check KBB.com, it means that most other dealers are selling them at or under MSRP. I felt Reyes was trying to hold me hostage because they had the exact CX-5 I was looking for. I told him that I was willing to wait for another dealer who wouldn't raise the price on me. He went on to insult the car I was trading in, a car I've owned for 13 years and have quite an attachment to. He finally countered $750 above MSRP, but that still wasn't what I wanted. My wife and I were about to walk, feeling bad that Reyes lost Michael our sale when Reyes finally asked if we would settle for the car at MSRP. Since I did want such as specific car, that's all I wanted, so I agreed so that Michael could keep the sale. I then mentioned the $500 Mazda loyalty rebate, and Reyes said he would make sure it got added. Michael and John Sutfin in finance led us through the rest of the process. It became clear that Reyes hadn't even done everything he was supposed to do before running our finances, having forgotten to get us to sign several important privacy documents. When we went to talk with John about the deal, it was clear Reyes had also "forgotten" to add the loyalty rebate. John checked on it, and got it added for us. While we were finishing the deal, I felt Reyes was now avoiding us since we'd caught him trying to sneak a massive mark up onto our CX-5. If I could give individual star ratings to individual people as Dublin Mazda, Michael would get a 5-star review for great customer service, John would get a solid four stars, and Reyes would get only one for trying to take advantage of me. Unfortunately, I have to give an overall rating, which I'll put at three stars. I hope Reyes doesn't take this out on Michael since I believe he's Michael's manager, but if you're going to Dublin Mazda, definitely look for Michael B. He'll steer you right. read more

last week my daughter announced that her little college commuter car needed "something done to it". It's her first car and the idea of going to a shop not knowing what you need or how much it will cost is always intimating. I have worked with Mr. Hannigan before so I trusted him to do right by her. He has a great way of giving it to you straight with out making you feel stupid : ) It turns out the car needed a "MAJOR service" these are scary words when you don't know what they mean more importantly how much will it cost. Paul must have noticed the worried look on her face(college kids are on a tight budget) because he really took the time to break it all down and the bottom line was totally affordable. long story short the car got its major service and my daughter feels comfortable handling the next service on her own ( as long as she can take it to Paul Hannigan at Dublin Mazda). Shout out to to Dave Brown (general Manager), Mike Davis (Internet Manager), and "Big Mike" Van Brunt (Finance Manager) at Dublin Mazda. They and Mazda Finance appreciate our men in uniform. Besides a great deal on the car, all of them went above and beyond to help me with the logistics of purchasing a car on my daughter and son-in-law's behalf. Even now that the sale is completed they're still helping me to gather some of the documentation that we'll need to ship the car to Germany where they are stationed. This wasn't your average car buying experience, and I knew that there would be some hitches along the way. We even had one other dealership refuse to work with us once they understood what was going to involved. Mike and Big Mike were so kind and patient and helped to bring all the pieces together. Called in about a used car I saw on Auto Trader. Was met by Gregory Gutierrez on the lot and he immediately remembered my call and showed me right to the car I was interested in. He was extremely knowledgable about the car and the skyactive technology involved. During the test drive, he gave enough directions for me to know where I was going without feeling like he was filling space with chit chat. Respectful, no pressure, and willing to work with my time constraints and budget he got me a great deal on my new Mazda 3. Loved listening to the team sing along with the music playing! Had the tires rotated and they gave me a loaner so that I could go eat and walk around the shopping center near by instead of waiting in the lounge. Walked into this place to buy a Mazda 3 and saw one at a decent price. Tried to negotiate with them and the manager Reyes came out and told me and my three friends to "get our butts" out of his store or buy the car on the spot. I said i needed to think about it and he told me I had 2 seconds to make a decision. He then continued to say "I just want to keep it real, you know what I mean?" to one of my african friends repeatedly along with some other off color remarks. We drove 2 hours to look at a 2012 CPO CX-9 that looked good online with a good price, at least compared to every other Northern Cal Mazda dealer. Troy was our sales person and was helpful, patient (3 test drives!), and knowledgable, and most important, low pressure. We reached a deal, not much off the advertised price (which was already good according to KBB and other sites), but did get some parts thrown in that I wanted. Then we needed to deal with the finance guy, a part of purchasing from a dealer I usually dread. John turned out to be just as friendly and helpful and we drove our new to us CX-9 home in short order. Both Troy and John have followed up with me to make sure everything is satisfactory. Miserable experience trying to buy a car from Dublin Mazda. DO NOT GET FOOLED BY THEIR SUGAR COATED customer service. The problem here arises only when you spend half your day at the dealership, decide to buy the car and sit down to sign the deal. They promise you a deal to sucker you into coming in, and when you do, not only renege on their promise, but have the audacity to claim that they do not need to abide by their commitments. Here's a blow-by-blow recount of the whole farce. Michael B worked with us on the CX-5 and did a good job explaining the car. We liked it, but they didn't have the color we wanted. They told us that they had located the color that we wanted at another dealership, and got us started on the paperwork. Fast-forward an hour and a half, and we get the news that the other car had been sold. We were bummed at having wasted our time there, since they hadn't bothered to tell us that the car hadn't been secured. They decided to keep pushing a color that we said we didn't want, at least a million times. Anyway, we decided to call off the search and wait for the new (2014) models. Fast-forward three weeks to today. Dublin Mazda now had the vehicle and color we were looking for, so we decided to give them a second chance since Michael had been extremely helpful. We call back in and get a quote from Bruce in the Internet department over the phone. We call each other three times, since Bruce first needed to confirm that they still had the vehicle, and next the price. We told them about the quote we had, which they promised to beat by $100. We made sure to ask the exact price too, just so there was no vagueness. We agree to this deal and rode the BART over to Dublin (a 1.5 journey), so that we could drive the vehicle back. Warning bells started to go off in out heads when we see the vehicle -- it had a wind deflector and navigation equipment attached (by the dealer). Now, no mention had been made, either on the website, or over phone about these add-on features. Still, Michael assured us that they would work something out, and took us on our test-drive. We liked the car and decided to move ahead with signing the deal. This is when things began to sour. They came back to us with the information that they had messed up the quote, and had offered us the price based on a previous model!! This after all the back-and-forth, and us being extremely clear about wanting the 2014 model. So not only did they neglect to tell us that they had all these add-ons that they wanted us to pay for, they also claimed to offer a quote that they wouldn't be able to honor! Judging by a previous review, this was not a one-off occurrence, which leads us to believe that this is common practice in this dealership -- provide quotes based on base trims, and trick the customer into purchasing unnecessary dealer-installed options. We were firm with Michael and told him that we wouldn't accept anything other than the agreed upon price (which is why we turned the other dealerships down). We didn't care for the additional equipment, so they were free to take it off. After some back and forth, they finally let us know that they would only "do business" with us if we bought the add-ons. If this wasn't bad enough the sales manager Sean decides to be extremely rude and insulting. First of all he doesn't even bother getting up from his seat to greet the customer. Secondly he is not the least bit apologetic about the whole situation. He also had the audacity to cut us short while we were explaining the situation and say "We can't do business with you". This guy clearly doesn't value his customers and is plain arrogant. I guess you can never be sure of buying a car from this place even if someone confirms a quote for you. Be prepared for some unpleasant surprises when you are close to signing a deal. read more

This review comes a little late but is deserving. Michael and Greg were more than willing to help us in buying a car. Working with a specific budget and type of car, Greg made sure that we found something we liked. He made sure we looked at all the options and that we were comfortable with our decisions...no pressure at all. When it came time to closing the deal, Greg and the manager met us at what we were asking for and even threw in some perks. They are great guys and would recommend them to anyone else looking for a first car. read more

Gregory Gutierrez was also very knowledgeable on showing us all the features of the car and getting everything set up. John the financial advisor was also very helpful and makes the paper work process fast! He too was knowledgeable about the warrantee and maintence packages. I just bought a Mazda CX-5 from Dublin Mazda and I am extreemely happy with my purchase. I worked with salesperson, Rebekah Secada and she was fantastic. She did not use any high pressure tactics to get me to make a purchase and answered all my questions. They did not needlessly run my credit until I was ready to make a purchase. I could have gont to another Mazda dealer for a slightly lower price, but because Rebekah was so helpful and professional I chose to go to Dublin Mazda. I also want to give a shout out to Michael in financing. He was excellent and gave me the best price for the gap insurance and the extended 7 year warranty. He explained everything for me. I had a relatively poor experience in the sales department with Michael Leung. After being interested in a 2014 Mazda3, I came in for a test drive. Everything went well. I told the sales person that I would be coming back later that week to pick up the car. A few days later, I emailed the same sales person with regard to the final price of the vehicle including taxes and applicable registration fees (I was intending to have the bank write a cashiers check). I got no reply whatsoever. I ended up calling with inquiry on the out-the-door price in the car (with negotiaton). I was told that due to me being a minor, he was not legally able to relay such information to me. Despite the fact that I've gotten the same information from other dealerships, it was somehow against the law to tell a minor the price of a car. I had my mom call him inquiring on the final price of the car, to which he replied that it was impossible to determine that over the phone and that we would have to come in. I had no problem with coming in. However I did have a problem with having my time wasted if all he was going to do was say he doesn't know. I decided not to even bother. The problem I see with Mazda, not just through my experience but in general, is that they are positioning themselves as a luxury car company, on the level of Lexus and Acura. This presents a problem in that Mazda does not have the customer base to be successful in the luxury segment. They compete with the likes of Honda, Toyota, and Nissan. This arrogance manifested itself in my experience where I felt like I was responsible for placating the sales person and thus going out of my way to please him. He was very close to making a sale but his arrogance got in the way. It did not, however get in my way as I purchased an even better vehicle for a better price at another dealer that same day! I hope this will serve as a warning to others not only about the sales department but about the lackluster customer service. Michael Leung never even called or emailed since. read more

We test drove a variety of crossover SUVs over a period of a week or so and decided that we liked the Mazda CX-5 best of the models we tried. We enjoyed the personal attention from Savaun and Robert at Dublin Mazda when we took our test drive, so we went back there yesterday to see if there was anything in stock that would meet our needs. We were very happy to see Savaun again, and to be well looked after as he searched the inventory, as well as that of other local dealers, to find us our ideal car. Luckily there was a vehicle in stock that met our requirements and after brief negotiation we shook hands on a deal. John the finance guy was very knowledgeable and detailed about available options, and so we left the showroom very happy, in a sparkling new Mazda CX-5 - thank you, Dublin Mazda! read more

I had been shopping around for a CX-5 for over a month but other dealers in the area had not been very helpful. I couldn't find a vehicle in the trim and color I wanted or with packages I needed. As a last ditch effort- before considering a completely different vehicle altogether- I requested a quote from Dublin Mazda and within an hour or so I heard from Rebekah Secada. She sent a couple quotes of vehicles that were of interest and after exchanging a couple emails I made an appointment to check out the vehicle that interested me the most. I visited the dealer on a busy Saturday morning but despite that I had a great experience. Rebekah and Bruce were both very helpful and easy to work with. No hassle and no bs. The purchase was smooth and I left the lot with the vehicle I had been searching for. Rebekah continues to be extremely helpful and go the extra mile answering all the questions that have come up after purchasing my CX-5. Thank-you, Rebekah! read more

I have never been one to write a review but the help I received was too amazing not to! Usually when going to car dealerships most salesmen tend to try to get you to buy buy buy and rush you to make a decision. This was not the case with George Lodato. He was very helpful and informative. He did not leave any question unanswered and made sure we got the best deal. Something I would love to reiterate is his laid back approach. We did not feel pressured to purchase anything. Keep up the great work George and Mazda! read more
