Dublin Car Tek - 25 Consecutive Years Earning the Diamond Certified Award - Auto Repair Near Me - Dublin, California

Dublin Car Tek rocks! It was my first time bringing my car in, and they treated me like family. They're kind, honest, and truly went out of their way to make sure I understood what's going on with my car. I never felt pressured--just supported. Their work is top-notch, prices are fair, and they got things done when they say they would. It's such a relief to have a shop I can fully trust. I know my car is in good hands here, and that peace of mind is priceless. Thank you to Ryan and the whole Dublin Car Tek team for taking such great care of me and my car--you've got a customer for life! read more

Good experience with service and price of smog inspection and certificate. I will continue to use this service to Smog Test my vechicle.

Tim and his crew are very good at fixing cars. And their prices are fair. I had a Volkswagen Jetta that nobody could fix. He would drive it for a while park and it wouldn't start till it cooled off. Nobody could find out what it was. But Tim kept looking into it looking into it finally figured out that Jetta is have a problem when the wires get old and hot they don't hold enough of a jolt to start the engine. Change the wires and the car worked great for another couple of years read more

So glad I found this place! I just moved to Pleasanton and came here for my smog check. Very friendly and fast service (despite me forgetting my DMV paperwork). Ryan was very helpful and friendly. I will definitely be back here for my Subaru's maintenance and would recommend to anyone! read more

I love this place been taking my car here for years. They always do a great job and are always straight up with me.

Excellent service and prompt response. Nice peeps. I would call and make an appointment

I can't say enough good things about Dublin Cartek. If you're looking for a trustworthy, knowledgeable, and genuinely kind mechanic, this is the place to go. The owner (Ryan) has gone above and beyond for me and my family more times than I can count. Every time I've called with questions--whether it's something simple or more complicated--he's taken the time to explain everything clearly and patiently. He's never made me feel rushed or like I was bothering him, which is rare these days. He's always accommodated my schedule and I can confidently say I trust him 100%, which is something I've never been able to say about a mechanic before. He's also helped my dad tremendously. My dad's car broke down a couple times, and the owner spent so much time on the phone with me, helping us weigh our options and figure out whether it was worth repairing or if it was time for something new. When we started looking at used cars, he gave incredibly helpful advice on what to look for, even doing searches for used cars online while I was on the phone. He walked me through everything I need to consider when buying a used care. Who does that?? One of the things I appreciate most is how genuine he is. You never feel like just another customer or a number - he actually cares. You can tell he takes pride in what he does, and it shows in the way he treats people. It's rare to find someone in this industry who genuinely wants to help and isn't just trying to just make money. Dublin Cartek is the real deal--honest, professional, and completely reliable. I feel really lucky to have found them, and I recommend them to anyone looking for top-notch service and peace of mind. read more

Amazing service! I got my car looked at over at the dealership and was quoted a crazy price. I call around to shops in the area but the knowledge and honesty I received over the phone at Dublin Car Tek was outstanding. Taking my car in was easy and I received honest feedback from Ryan and the team of what needs to be done and what can wait, and didn't break the bank. They went above and beyond to accommodate me when they did not need to! Blessed to have found my new Go To mechanic! read more

Came for a smog check, did not have an appointment. Without hesitation, they took me in and completed my smog check. Struck up a conversation with the owner about music and he was a joy to talk to. I have been in other places where I felt like my business was an inconvenience to them. Dublin Car Tek Thank you. Look forward to working with you with some projects. read more

Dublin Car Tek - Auto Repair Near Me - Dublin, California

Ryan and team were able to take care of my car's needs in an easy and seamless manner. I received quality care and they were very vocal about the steps towards repair and they made sure that my car was taken care of. I'm happy with the service, quality and value. Thanks Ryan and team! read more

I liked that they were honest, forthright and detailed in explaining what needed to be repaired as well as the cost of repair. I was not thrilled with the actual cost estimate, it was pricey and outside the range I found for that type of repair. Deducting one star because the estimator was mildly condescending and somewhat flippant about current protocols. That's not to say I wouldn't go there again; they seem very knowledgeable and conscientious about the repairs they complete. read more

Just adding in some missing info. Tim, I believed that the man with the beard was the owner, he stated "my guys are all helping out the neighbor bcuz he had work and no mechanics". I guess you were over there. He is the one who stated he could get my air running for 300.00. My friend also heard it. He also said that he would have time for repair of my truck the next day. Also, my Rotors were in perfect condition and my bearings were not loose as you stated on your trumped up estimate. I left you the email thru your website. I'm happy to remove my review with a refund because I think it's the right thing to do. I s/w the bearded office guy the day prior. He told me all about his neighbor and how you tried to hire their one good mechanic 3 times. How he has known him for years. Tim, I've never had an issue with the shop next door. They had no mechanics. You did not take me in nor did you listen to who did check me in. lol you obviously did not realize I had an appt and you had a lack of work, I ended up giving you a shot. Instead I took one. Also yes you did quote me 3500 to 4000 which is out of line but how do you not know what all is needed yet still charge me labor for an estimate? Wow. I'm happy to show you the work done on my truck and how my rotors are perfectly fine as well as my bearings untouched as your estimate says the bearings are loose and rotors need turning. There was nothing on the other two pages but it's your shop, pull them up. I'm no liar. Lmk read more

I took my RV to this shop after being unable to find many places that would even perform a simple inspection and diagnostic. The staff were knowledgeable and good people. The turnaround time was quick, and the shop seemed very busy, but I never felt rushed. I was offered multiple suggestions for repair and will definitely go back if I need service. read more

I visited DCT after finding them on Yelp when I need a Smog Check for my registration. Ryan and the staff were extremely kind and helpful. As a woman it's important to me that I don't feel like I'm being treated unfairly or taken advantage of. I've since came back for an oil change and will continue going to DCT for future visits. I highly recommend DCT! read more

I had a very pleasant experience here. I work close to here and they were kind enough to accommodate without an appointment. Ryan is extremely helpful and kind and kept me in the loop throughout the day about what was being worked on. Now this place was a lifesaver, it was a day before Thanksgiving, and I needed a smog done, and you know how busy places are the day before Thanksgiving. I called them, and I asked if they can help me out, he said sure bring it by. Spoke to the owner, thanked him for his amazing service. The price was great. The service was amazing. Can't ask for anything else. I would highly recommend this place. read more

Great service. Appointments can be made over Yelp Chat. Reasonable prices, fast, nice guys. What more could you want in a smog check.

AAA towed me there for a fuel pump replacement. They were slammed before Labor Day Weekend, but they got the car to me next day. Super impressed. However, a clip broke while I was driving, apparently a cheap plastic part. Coudn't get gas to pump, resulting in another tow on Monday. I get a call before 10am this morning that the issue was resolved, they took complete responsibility, no change, and even filled up the gas that I lost - a half a tank which isn't quite cheap today. Grateful they can be trusted. They are honest and have integrity. Mistakes happen, plastic things break. They took care of me without any hassle and taking full responsibility, very apologetic. I've found my new go-to mechanic! Ryan and crew are top-notch. read more

Ryan was amazing and so informative and friendly! He took great care of my car and I will be a forever customer for sure! I highly recommend coming here you won't be disappointed! read more

Seven days ago, driving my 2015 Nissan Van to South Bay, Hot AF outside and the A/C gives up the ghost. Do some of my own simple troubleshooting and OBD diagnostic and determine the job is out of my scope of ability. I am thinking its a bad compressor. I research some of the local car repair shops , they can't give me a price or a date to bring in until almost a week later. I yelp DCT and see some good reviews and their site has a coupon for A/C check that is my "Cross your fingers hope that is all that is wrong" issue. I was able to drop off that Monday not having to wait until Thursday. Ryan and his team spoke to me with respect and I truly believe honesty. They didn't try to sugar coat it and let me know how they were going to attack the problem and diagnose the issue. I even stopped by mid-repair to see the progress of the repair and they took the time to show me the work they've done and also listen to my, I'm sure boring stories of my own car repairs. Anyway picked up the van today. Repairs done and I am happy. And they are Veteran Friendly so that helped with the costs. Thanks to Ryan, his son and the rest of the Team at Dublin Car Tek. They earned my business and hopefully I won't be a repeat customer, but if I have (newer car) problems I will be seeing them again read more

***Update*** I replied to the owner's response below regarding the pricing via private message. So far I haven't received a response. To clarify, I called this location for a quote on the smog check. An employee on the phone give me a quote for $49.95. I didn't even mention a $20 coupon they have on their website. I just found it odd that an employee would tell me the price is $49.95 when the actual price is $69.95. read more

A friend recommended Dublin Car Tek several years ago and so I took my vehicle of same make/model to them. My husband also does now too that are cats are out of warranty. They provide good service and I feel like they know what they're doing. And I don't feel like they're trying to sneak something past. In fact for big services, they inspect and replace what is needed rather than having to replace everything whether it's needed or not.., the price e can be pretty significant from a dealer when they just replace everything. I'm taking our third car in now to them. I think that says something. read more

Saw this place in Yelp- they had great reviews . This is my first time at this place. Ryan was awesome in helping out the clarify gray area on coupons . He was still able to accommodate our car's needs. Because of his awesome customer service and knowledge , we had the smog test AND ADDED the oil change. They did not disappoint - we even waited for our service. They give you estimates on how long it will take and they were on point! Very honest and clean , professional job! This is the place to go. read more

Great service, good work and nice people. What more do you need from your auto repair shop? I had some repair work done on a car I recently bought and was satisfied from start to finish. I have talked with Tim, Alan and Shane and find them all to be knowledgeable, friendly and just plain nice guys. The front end repair was done perfectly with no post-repair issues. The car immediately felt better when I drove off. What sold me on Car Tek was this - I brought my car in with a list of things to repair. They put the car on the lift and asked me to join them to take a look underneath. They pointed out everything they saw on the list and told me exactly what it would take to fix it. They were straight-shooters, honest, and gave me the facts to make my own decision on how to proceed. They have a Yelp coupon if you check in and spend a certain dollar amount. If you're browsing Yelp for an honest, reputable shop that you can trust, I urge you to stop in and talk to them. All of the things that I can't do myself will be taken to Car Tek without question. read more

I have been coming here for about 15 years, and am very pleased. Over the years, I have brought about 7 different cars to be serviced here. Correct fix at a reasonable price each time. I especially enjoyed bringing my identical 2 Ford Tempos in, to try to challenge their mechanics. I was never able to baffle them, but I tried. They always get the problem fixed the first time. Well, okay, not 100%, but about 98%. So, I have to admit they are not actually perfect--they are human. The only time they ever made a mistake, they fixed it right away at no charge. What more can one want? Nice people, competent, friendly. read more
