A great friend suggested this place to me. I normally do dealership service but she said to try out this place. I came in early and Alan took the key and phone number. He said he will try to get it done by 1 but definitely before 5. I told him the service warning that shows up on my dashboard and he said no worries. He will check and let me know if there are additional work. Called about 3 hours later saying the car is done! No upsell, no long winded explanation. Just told me one concern that should be addressed on the next service time and that's it. Price is much more reasonable than dealership. Just be warned, there is no place to wait. I ended up walking to Panera to wait for my car. If you have someone who can pick you up and drive you back that's better. There is also Johnny's donut a little bit down the road or Taco Bell across the street. Glad to have found a reasonably priced , honest mechanic around here. I'll be back for sure. I was told that he's pretty busy and can't guarantee your calls will be picked up. So I didn't even try to make an appointment . I just drove my car there and hoped for the best. read more

I've been going to Alan as my ONLY mechanic for the past 15 years. I 100% trust him and his advice and quality of work. We were in the market for a brand new car 3 years ago and we decided that we would only purchase a Japanese brand solely because that's what Alan specializes in. I've always wanted a BMW but Alan doesn't work on those and I don't trust anyone else for maintenance and repairs, especially the dealership, so we got a Lexus instead. On 3 separate occasions I brought my older car (2008 Acura TSX) in because it was having issues and Alan did not charge me anything. One of those instances it seemed like the battery was dying. The car would cut off and lose all power randomly. I figured it was something serious and would cost thousands of dollars. Nope. I dropped it off with Alan in the morning, got a call back a few hours later and he told me one of the battery cables was loose and he tightened it, no charge. I remember him saying "I didn't really do anything so I don't feel comfortable charging you for this". He also wouldn't allow me to tip him for that service so I ended up leaving money on his desk, lol. Two other occasions he diagnosed a major problem on that same car that he wasn't able to fix, and he didn't charge me for that either. He told me exactly what the problem was, exactly what needed to be done to have it repaired, and a general estimate of what another shop should charge for this. I don't know anything about cars so that information was invaluable. I took it to another shop and told them the same information he gave me. They looked at it and told me I needed other work done as well (of course). I explained to them to only do the work that I'm requesting. They did, roughly around the same price so that was good, but the car has been fine after that. I'm actually going to drop off my car this morning with Alan. Nothing is wrong with it that I'm aware of, but I'm about to take it on a road-trip and I want it inspected and checked out before I do. If I took it anywhere else they would come up with a problem or find a non-existent problem just to make some money. Alan doesn't do that. He's honest, trustworthy, great personality and funny as well. read more

My Honda Civic was overdue for an oil change, my service light came on. Alan does not answer his phone, so don't expect to call for a quote or hours of operation. He opens at 9AM, you just show up first thing in the morning and tell him what you need. However, how Alan operates is that he tells you what your car needs and not the other way around. For example, I have a service light on that tells me I need to replace my air filters, etc. He will do the oil change and check if the other items need replacing. Surprisingly, he told me I just needed the oil change and I didn't need the other items replaced. He does tire rotation for $25? I forget the price. He only does the rotation if requested. I dropped off my car around 9AM and I believe he was done by early afternoon, I received the call most likely around 1PM. The price of the oil change seemed reasonable, not too cheap but definitely not too expensive either. For routine car maintenance, I definitely do plan to bring my car back here. Honest Review: If you ever need any services and maintenance done for your Lexus, Acura, Toyota and/or Honda, you must go to Alan! I have been a loyal customer for 7yrs since 2015 to 2022 (switched over to European cars since YOLO and will plan to trade-in then upgrade to a Lexus LX 600 in a couple years lol to see Alan again). Alan has worked on my following vehicles: 1.) '04 Lexus RX 330 (SUV 150K miles) - Full Synthetic Oil/Filter Change - Ignition Coils x2 (not 6) Replacement ***Alan only uses GENUINE parts because he had found that my previous local auto dealer (from '08 to '15) had used aftermarket cheap parts in my Lexus where at one point the engine lights came on since it kept on misfiring with vehicle stall (luckily I was coming out of a parking lot after having dinner with the fam going local then pulled into street parking); I had AAA towed it to Alan's Shop overnight on a Saturday late evening then left it there until Monday morning. Alan told me that 2 out of 6 ignition coils had failed to operate requiring immediate replacements which was done soon as he reopened his shop that Monday. A few days later, I went ahead and detailed the entire interior/exterior of my vehicle by self before selling it since it was going on 150K miles where ALL major replacements would be needed LOL. 2.) '08 Toyota Yaris (Hatchback 175K miles) - Full Synthetic Oil/Filter Change - 120K High Mileage Maintenance - 150K High Mileage Maintenance 3.) Alan has told me many times before not to worry especially since I was new to Honda that they will run just fine with little wear & tear unless it was truly needed for safety precautions; fortunately, I ease into my brakes and drive on the freeway frequently for commute/work/leisure so no serious major replacements were needed. It's hard to find an honest mechanic and alan is that honest guy. I was tired of getting ripped off and paying ridiculous labor fees and that does NOT happen at lexura. I had my brake pads and oil changed and he fixed a leaking sun roof. Alan got my car back to me the next day at a great price. This the only place I'll take my toyota to from now on. Had an issue with my car took it to this shop on weekday morning. Alan the owner attended my issue. He was quick and responsive. He heard the issue opened a ticket. I left the car with him. He called me around noon and told me that instead of replacing the coil and spark plug of all 4 cylinders which will be expensive. He recommended replacing the spark plug first as they need tk be replaced at 110K miles. for diagnosis, parts, and labor he charged with $260 with tax. It was quick no BS no trying to make a quick buck. Was prompt and picked up car that day. Bottom line will recommend this place if you have a used car that needs work. read more

Returned back to get my vehicle serviced. The shop never picks up the phone. Wanted to get a 90k service done, but because I had time, I took it in at 86k. He said he would not do it because he is stubborn like that. I get it, but if a customer is willing to service their vehicle early, why not. Quite possibly the best auto repair/maintenance place I've been to. Honest, quick, and affordable. You Yelpers didn't steer me wrong. The place is slightly difficult to find. It's off the street, behind some other buildings. I took DH's old Acura here when the check engine light turned on. Alan checked the code - it said the sliding door was stuck. But the car doesn't have a sliding door. So, he reset the light and advised me to bring it back if it came on again. Best of all, there was no charge! I took my car here for an oil change. Fortunately, I called a few days ahead of time and booked an appointment. They have Saturday service times. I dropped the car off and it was ready in an hour, even though they were packed. They did a great job, no leaks, and it was a great deal at a tad over $20. They also take credit cards.
