She called for a Lyft to take me home and back. She listened to my concerns and made sure to update me throughout the day by text and phone calls. They will try to sell over MSRP. They will make things up in order to justify it. Just walk away. Watch out for the finance manager. He will put in maintenance contracts on the paperwork without asking. You have to manually ask them to remove the contracts If they did sneak the contracts in on you, don't worry, you can legally get them refunded in full in the state of CA. They will dodge your calls attempting to set up a refund for the contracts, so just show up and demand your refund. I left the dealership a negative review, and the managers here attempted to try and intimidate me. Don't let them bully you. But honestly? I recommend that you shop elsewhere. read more

My wife's car has been at the service department since late November and hasn't been worked on at all. The issue is that the engine failed due to connecting rod bearing failure. This is a known issue and there was a warranty extension on it, which covers 15 years, or 150,000 miles. There were class action lawsuits for this and even multiple Facebook groups where there are 39k+ members experiencing the exact same issue. My wife's car is only at 82k miles. She's a secondhand owner and has owned it since 62k miles. The reason for the denial is because she doesn't have the service records from miles 0-42k. Unfortunately, it was previously owned by Enterprise, who do their maintenance in-house, so these records do not exist. My wife has all of her service records since owning it in place, and the service techs even stated that the valve train looked good. The service manager even confirmed that the failure was due to the very issue that the I know that Hyundai Corporate is ultimately the ones that are responsible for shooting us down, but Dublin Hyundai has not been helpful during this process. There was a full 2 week period where contacting the service manager was impossible. The phone would legit ring anywhere between 6-12 minutes before anyone would pick up, they'd then forward me to to the manager's voicemail. I left at least 9 voicemails before getting a call back. Our regular service rep also doesn't call back when he says he will and never responds to our emails. I've had to head directly to the dealership to speak with them. The most stressful part of this whole dilemma is that my wife is now 29 weeks pregnant and she's been without a car for essentially a full trimester's worth of time. They wouldn't offer her a loaner because no work has been done on the car. The people we've spoken with the the dealership are nice enough, but horrible with communication and follow through. Within 24 hours of bringing the car home, I noticed multiple issues that were either not disclosed or overlooked, including an active coolant leak, a broken headlight, missing floor mats, and no spare key. I emailed Billy the very next day with my concerns so there would be a paper trail. I brought the vehicle back on March 7 and was told there was "nothing wrong" with it, even though there was visible leaking. Fast forward, the car overheated and now I'm being told both radiator tubes are busted... which tells me the issue was there from the beginning. What makes this even worse is I paid for an extended warranty, GAP insurance, and a service package, but when I first tried to take my car to Dodge Jeep Chrysler in San Leandro, I was told the warranty wouldn't even cover the repair. That was a huge red flag. My car has now been in service for almost three weeks and I still don't have it back. No written estimate, no diagnostic paperwork, no repair breakdown, no text updates, and barely any communication. Last week I was told it might be ready Monday or Tuesday, and now it's past that with no update. I called and was sent straight to voicemail. The most frustrating part is nobody seems to care, not sales, not service, and not even management. After confirming went to the dealership with the hour and they gave a completely different price and kept trying to show the monthly price was the same (down payment went from $3300 to $9400). When I asked them to explain, kept saying includes CA taxes, Gov fees etc ( all those combined don't add up to their down payment). When they could not explain the differenc, simply said; if you want that monthly price this is down payment; we won't explain the breakdown on what makes the numbers. Test Drive - so vehicle supposed to be certified but the alignment was completely off during the test drive. Big question on how they are certifying their vehicles. They didn't even fix one of the open recall during Certification process which they took an additional hour after I purchased the vehicle. After multiple requests the vehicle still wasn't cleaned properly. I just checked today that the engine oil level is low, and they told me the oil has been changed at time of purchase. Financial department - I told them upfront that I have pre-approval from Credit Union. They made up some bull**** excuse to fill online application for a temporary credit loan hold for 7 days, so I can work with my Credit Union wire the money or shop for different loan. Sale agent, Alex, confirmed that they will NOT run my credit report so my credit score will not get hit. Now, I walked into the Finance agent office, Tommy, who already ran a hard check against my credit and gave me the same interest rate as my credit union without my consent. When I asked, I never authorized this. Tommy said, "oh well". Such a shitty response. Tommy said it's a 7-day hold, so you can work with your Credit Union. I signed all paperwork; He tried to sell me additional stuff... said No to everything. At this point, car is not clean, when I asked about there are only 27miles remaining before gas runs out, they fussed about it and fill tank only half way for a $40,000 vehicle. Shitty dealership. On a routine service visit for our 2012 Hyundai Genesis a slight leak was discovered on the right front brake line. Our Dublin service rep Ronesh Kumar found that the required brake line parts for our 14 year old 2012 brake line would take 2-3 weeks to arrive and we could not take our car home until the brake line was repaired. I requested that he think out of the box and try expediting the parts process by looking beyond the Dublin parts dept.. And he called back next day that he found the necessary parts at a Los Angeles dealership and they would be shipped to Dublin within 3 days. Incredible service. I actually got a hold of a live person when I called and they handled the appointment without transferring me everywhere. Minimum information needed because they already had it from my phone number. I was already stressed a little bit and they made it easy when I arrived on my appointment time. I was acknowledged by an assistant that somebody would be with me soon. My service advisor was Melissa Cardwell. She was kind, genuine and so easy to speak with. She addressed my issues, and informed me about a necessary recall. I took my car in for an oil change and walked away spending $500!!!! Let me count all the lies..... I was told they were the only place that could service a Genesis G70 because it was more entailed than a simple oil change (LIE #1) it ended up costing $350 for an oil change. I was told there was an actual nest in the cabin air filter making it hazardous and needed to be changed. (LIE #2) After it was changed, I asked to see the old filter, and when he brought it to me, he said "oh I'm going to have to eat crow, it didn't have a nest in it, just some debris", (which was a single little leaf and some dust) that was another $150. Then I was told both front and back brakes needed to be changed. That the back brakes were at 1mm and dangerous to drive. (LIE #3) I was told that would be $3500. I decided to get a quote elsewhere for the brakes and when I did, was told I did not even need brakes! This company is so shady! All they do is lie and try to get you to spend as much money as possible. With the economy being what it is, making money tight, they should be ashamed of themselves! We had one of the worst experiences at this dealership. The salesperson who approached us was clearly inexperienced--she didn't even introduce herself, just walked up and said, "I heard you are interested in a car." She showed us the car, but when we asked for an out-the-door quote on a Hyundai (after explaining that we had already driven it elsewhere), she scoffed at us and sat us down at her desk. Instead of providing the quote we asked for, she kept pushing us to give her the price we wanted to pay. We were confused because all we wanted was a clear out-the-door number. She left to "get the quote" but disappeared for about 10 minutes, only for her manager, Manuel, to show up--also without introducing himself. Get this, I find out on the site his actual name is Will Amiri. From the moment he sat down, he was aggressive and condescending. He kept repeating that we didn't understand him, but when I asked him to actually explain what he meant, he deflected and avoided answering. There was no language barrier--he and I are both American. Instead of clarifying, he blamed us for not understanding while refusing to explain anything clearly. To make things worse, as my husband was speaking, he kept staring me down. I gave Dublin Hyundai service a chance after a couple years of avoiding them and was pleasantly surprised. Their leadership changed and it's quite obvious as soon as you walk through the door. The staff is now helpful and friendly with what appears to be a much healthier work environment. They still have some relatively new service representatives but they now seem to have the experienced team members to back them up and support. They seem to have the goal of customer service in mind and are willing to grab supporting team members when needed. Charlie the service manager is great. Eddie which seems to be the shop foreman is phenomenal and earned my trust quickly with his detailed explanation, and recommendations using his 30+ years experience. Tips: 1) Keep in mind they are very busy. Set expectations to work with people that are juggling several service tickets that may be a little rushed. I think they had a good balance of customer waiting and giving customer attention. 2) If you are questioning an expensive recommendation or honesty, nicely request an experienced person to explain. Their team has a lot of experience and showed integrity throughout my entire maintenance process. BigOTires vs Hyundai: I started using BigOTires when I wasn't happy with the Hyundai service team a few years back. BigO charged me 30 minute troubleshooting and recommended $800 of work which didn't fix a suspension problem. After our recent experiences we will never, EVER set foot in this establishment again. They have a pattern of deceptive practices and unacceptable customer service. The First Betrayal: The Kona Purchase (Kona SEL 2025) My wife and I arrived at 8PM, making it clear we intended to buy a car same night, provided we were treated well and not pressured. We were both looking to purchase new vehicles - my wife first, and I planned to buy mine a few weeks later once my current car sold. Our salesperson, Lauren, was pleasant but proved to be completely unhelpful and shockingly uninformed. She repeatedly listed features for the Kona SEL 2025 that were categorically not included in that trim level. We were told it had a power passenger seat, power trunk, heated seats, and smart cruise control. To our absolute dismay, after the purchase, we discovered none of these features were actually present. It was late, and despite my frustration, I calmed my wife down, explaining that Lauren simply seemed unknowledgeable, and since I had done my research and knew what the car did have, we proceeded. This was our first mistake. The final insult on the Kona: we were promised a free set of weather mats in exchange for a 5-star review on a specific survey link. We fulfilled our end of the bargain, only to be told later by Lauren that it was the "wrong link" and she "can't send the new one," effectively reneging on their promise. This is a blatant bait-and-switch tactic for reviews. The Second Betrayal: The GV70 Advanced Package Nightmare Foolishly, I returned. After selling my car, I was ready to purchase a new GV70 Advanced package. I visited on Memorial Day, hoping for a better deal given our recent Kona purchase and the prospect of spending another $65,000. Lauren put together a quote, but then tried to sell me a GV70 with over 100 miles on the odometer, claiming it was normal because "people test drive them, it is what it is." I explicitly told her that, given our previous negative experience, I was NOT buying the same day and would be shopping around. I asked for their absolute best deal, stressing that I hated pressure tactics (being in sales myself, I detest them). Their "best deal" was a quote for the "Advanced package" at $57,000 for that 100+ mile car, with the caveat that if I didn't buy it that same day, the price would magically jump to over $63,000. This is exactly the kind of high-pressure, scammy behavior I despise and asked them to avoid. A Breath of Fresh Air (and Honesty) at Genesis San Bruno I took their quote to Genesis in San Bruno, and the difference was night and day. The salesperson there was incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, and, most importantly, not pushy at all. After a test drive, their initial price for the GV70 Advanced package was higher, around $65,000. When I shared the quote from the Dublin dealership, their salesperson immediately pointed out, in plain sight, that the Dublin quote was actually for the BASIC model, cleverly disguised with tiny, barely visible fine print. This is, without a doubt, a bait and switch scheme. We also shared our horrendous Kona purchase experience. The San Bruno team was genuinely appalled and, as a result, lowered their price for the Advanced package down to an incredible $55,000 for me. This stark difference in pricing loudly screams that the Dublin Hyundai team was trying to literally rob us. My new 2026 Genesis GV70 from San Bruno came with just 3 miles on it, reinforcing how a legitimate dealership operates (separate cars for test drives vs. sales). The Final Insult: The Service Department (Kona Oil Change) Today, with 800 miles on the Kona, we brought it in for its first oil change. We were explicitly promised that the break-in period service would be included for free, on top of the 36,000 miles or 3-year warranty. Now, we're being told it's "too early" for an oil change, despite Hyundai strongly recommending a break-in oil change after 600 miles to remove metal shavings from a brand-new engine. We were told "there's no such thing" as a break-in oil change, even though the car's own manufacturer manual states it needs to be done. We were then given a "choice": either pay for it, or use one of our four included services for the 36,000-mile warranty. This is unacceptable. The Contrast Continues: Genesis San Bruno Service San Bruno Genesis assured me the break-in oil change is recommended and is complementary and does not deduct from my existing warranty services. Oh, and by the way, they actually delivered the free weather mats they promised, AND gave us a $200 gift card. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP! Their practices are dishonest, their staff is ill-informed, and their service is abysmal. They have lost a loyal, multi-car customer forever. read more

If I could dump the brand new Genesis Electric I bought here 8 mos ago I would. Within weeks of purchasing the car, it was apparent the AC system did not work properly. After a day in the shop, they couldn't ID the problem so got it recharged and sent me on my way with dye in the system to see if there was a leak. Meanwhile, the screen in the car began intermittently turning on and off. That system has now been recalled and replaced. A few weeks ago, as the temps got very toasty, the AC system began acting up again. Back to the shop....2+ weeks (!) later, I still do not have a functioning car. They said they needed to "order the part". I guess they keep their inventory at the International Space Station because if the part existed anywere on earth, they ought to be able to get it in less than 2 weeks, no? Word is that they fixed the AC and the screens but a promised detailing on the car has now required a 2nd trip to complete and I just got another call that the car needs another day (to detail the car...come ON!). It took this dealership over a month to complete my car sale. They made me come down to the dealership every weekend to follow up because no one at the dealership answers phone calls. Sales rep. Anthony Grijalva on day 1 told me that the check will be processed in a day or two but it was a lie. He went on to lie so every weekend I went in-person to follow up. He gave me his "personal" phone and never answered that either. He even tried to low ball the offer by saying my BRZ does not have any luxury features. Ofcourse it doesn't, it's a performance car, buddy! Just an unprofessional, disrespectful and frustrating person to deal with. Finally the site manger - Adnan, stepped in and cleaned up Anthony's mess. But then, their accounting department had another week's delay to cut the check. I brought my vehicle in August 2024 for what was determined by the on site mechanics to be caused from a known recall. I have all the paperwork and messaged to confirm this. The 3 months of trying to coordinate an appointment was a major headache. The long story short of this issue was that Hyundai refused to take accountability for installing faulty parts (which are still in my vehicle - installed by their technicians)! So I'm writing this review as a last effort to get some help from this business. I'll keep it plain as I did on day one - I just want my vehicle safely fixed in a timely manner with no more sending me back and forth departments. I apologize for the late post; however, I cannot and will not stop praising the service I receive at Hyundai of Dublin. From the moment I walked and was greeted by Melissa, I knew my time was going to be well spent. I was taken in, set up and went to the waiting area where the other Customer was waiting and put on my headphones expecting a long wait. Again, not to my surprise I was informed that my car was ready. One thing I noticed this time is that the sales reps were politely and quietly assisting other customers in the showroom as opposed to the other dealerships I previously reviewed here on Yelp. What I can truly say, is that my experience here has been nothing short of professional and personal attention, so when I am ready to upgrade (Palisade?) I will certainly come here. Update: We purchased our "new" car in 2024 and added on the Vehicle Service Contract which was supposed to cover yearly maintenance. When we went to get the car serviced, the service department turned us away saying that our car was "used" because it was a dealer loaner. We were never told this when we bought it, we were told it was freshly unwrapped that day. After arguing for hours we were able to convince the service department that we bought it new. Now, at the following service appointment, we are being told the same story and have been turned away from honoring the service contract that we bought on a new car. This has been a massively frustrating experience and I recommend anyone stay away from this dealer and their shady approach. Also, the good reviews are only because they promise free items in return when you buy a car there- don't trust any of the good reviews. read more

Poor communication and giving false expectation of services given. A summary of my experiences include requiring a half day for an 18 point inspection and tire rotation and that was with an appointment. Left 3 messages for the manager before getting a call back. A manager promising me that I could come in for wheel lock removal but did not communicate that with his team. Telling me it would take "5 minutes" but on arrival being told it would take 1 hour. No apologies and no attempts at service recovery. read more
