Empty promises. I signed an agreement for a future allocation that will never be honored. Since then, three price increases have come and gone while I've been left on the sidelines. I've purchased multiple new Porsches from this dealership & loyalty will get you nowhere with Porsche Livermore. The service department even managed to damage my brand new 911 during a PPF install. Leaving knife cuts directly in the paint across the entire front end. I had hoped things were improving under the new ownership group & gave them the benefit of the doubt... but nothing has changed. I continue to get the runaround, and I'm exhausted by the games the dealership will play with customers who genuinely care about the Porsche brand. I own aircooled 911s, and sadly the best era of Porsche feels long gone. What was once about engineering and passion now seems driven by shareholder value and squeezing every last dollar from customers. To all who are considering doing business at a LAPIS dealership (be it Porsche, Audi, Land Rover, Honda, Ferrari or Mercedes-Benz). Here is my experience...and it's not a good one. I had sought out a particular vehicle and finally found one of interest; the problem was, it was over 500 miles away in Southern California (I live in Northern California). However, even if the vehicle was in the area, I would still need to perform some type of due diligence, in order to assure I was purchasing a sound/functional vehicle. That said, I found a Lapis Dealership only 20 minutes away from where the vehicle resided and made an appointment for a Pre-Purchase Inspection (cost $740). Days later, I was contacted by the service manager and told the vehicle was in good condition, although it still needed some suspension work and to replace a few leaking seals. With this endorsement in hand, I purchased the vehicle and had it shipped to Northern California. Upon arrival, I immediately noticed the following: * No AC * No headlights * Windshield wipers inoperable * Antenna won't retract * Parking brake won't hold * Tachometer won't go above 2,000 * Windows require manual intervention to operate * Each door lock is keyed differently and neither works with the keys * Erratic Idle/RPM * Rear shocks leaking * Fuel leaks * Oil leaking from bell housing/main seal For those of you not familiar with cars, most of these items (some safety-related) would have been easy to identify by either pushing some buttons in the driver's compartment or readily visible with the vehicle up on a car lift). THE TOTAL COST OF RECTIFYING THESE ISSUES HAS RESULTED IN A REPAIR BILL EXCEEDING $30,000! Of course, I was less than pleased and contacted the dealership. While they were willing to refund my $740, they were totally unwilling to accept any responsibility for their obvious mechanical oversights...essentially just patting me on the head and hoping I would just go away! Well, $30,000 is a huge chunk of change and I wasn't willing to go away quietly. I contacted the Customer Care Manager and Customer Service Department for the car manufacturer and both told me the COO of LAPIS/Mark Venti would be my main contact for resolving this issue. However, after numerous attempts to contact Mr Venti to resolve this issue, my communiques (email, as well as certified mail) have fallen on deaf ears - NO RESPONSE WHATSOEVER. While it took every fiber of my being while writing this, I have refrained from utilizing 4-letter expletives to portray my displeasure, although a $30,000+ bill to cover their mistakes is pretty close to a living hell. In short, BEWARE the LAPIS Dealership Group does not have your back! I would highly recommend you seek out alternatives to a LAPIS Dealership! read more

I have purchased eight Porsche's all over California dealerships and it has always been the Porsche experience. I found a vehicle at Livermore Porsche and drove 2.5 hours to purchase. From the start, it was horrible. The sales rep didn't know the true details of the Macan EV. After the test drive, I was taken to a non-lit room upstairs by myself for over two hours! Not being checked on or offered anything. I arrived at noon and explained to the sales rep I had a 2.5 hour drive home and if we could hurry things along. They couldn't figure out how to program my profile, so I had no nav getting home except my phone. Now the best part, I purchased on 7/6/26 and as of today 7/31/26 my trade-in still isn't paid off with my bank. I have placed four calls to the finance Mgr who still hasn't responded to my 7/22/26 email or any of my calls. BEWARE OF THIS DEALERSHIP!!! THIS IS NOT A TYPICAL PORSCHE DEALERSHIP!!! This dealership is low low low they'll sell you certified Porsche with balding tires that are chunking and say oh they've got a life lots of mention there was definitely an accident and they knew about it and didn't even point it out. I bought it from out of state so Really sucks the door panel was completely screwed up and they glued it in took the mechanics forever to get the door panel out because it was completely screwed and rolling up in the window had to replace the whole thing go somewhere else definitely not honest. read more

Getting my 911 into top condition was critical for me, as it's fairly collectible and will be worth the most $$$ when it goes to market. So, as you can imagine, I had A LOT of very specific, detail-oriented requests for my vehicle. Heck, some of my service requests weren't even in Porsche of Livermore's wheelhouse (removing sun faded protective film from the vehicle's body, adding an aftermarket carbon fiber front spoiler, securing an explainer video from his technicians about my 911's overall condition). Took it to nearest dealership 100 miles away from home town because it was on the way home. First dealership, that one that diagnose the problem did not have the part. Said they would send it over to Livermore Porsche so they could fix. Livermore refused to fix problem because they detect nothing now. So I either waste a day to go back to dealership 100 miles away, or don't get it fixed. Porsche does NOT back there product. This whole adventure of buying a Porsche has been a nightmare. Save yourself time and frustration by going to another dealership. I scheduled an appointment for potential services to be performed and simple speaker warranty issues. My appointment was for 10AM on Thursday. Car was dropped off day before. After multiple calls to check status on Friday, I was told that they are running behind and could not tell me when they would get to my car. They noted that "due to low staffing and scheduling there was nothing that they could do about it." I told them I would pick up my car and take it to another dealership. They acknowledged the situation as being unsatisfactory but said that there was nothing they could do about it. Shameful to book appointments for people to leave their cars for days with no intention to honor the appointment or provide reasonable follow-up. Visit Porsche Walnut Creek. Buying a car is like dating. Most people shop around, do a bit of research, check things out online, reach out, email, chat, text, phone, follow up. You know the drill. Sometimes it works out, sometimes it doesn't, sometimes you get ghosted, sometimes you meet IRL only to be disappointed. I can only speak from personal experience as we all have different circumstances. End of the day, buying a car is a transaction and selling a car is a business. Porsche is a luxury brand, bespoke to your liking if you are willing to pay the price, from paint color to matching color stitching on your chrono. Point is, you know this already if you are looking to buy a Porsche. If you don't, it's pronounced por-shuh. You can skip this review if you are shopping for a GT3 or can properly pronounce Doppelkupplungsgetriebe. This is just my personal experience, buying a Porsche for the first time in bay area. Full disclosure, I won't name specific sales personnel or specific dealerships for parts of this review because end of the day, we all gotta eat, not trying to mess up someone's bag just because they fumbled it. There are three stereotypical types of sales at a dealership: deadbeat (been in business longtime, pays the bill, seen it all), slick talker (loves to talk, best dressed in the office, lies to your face with a smile), desperado (new in the game, needs to hit quota, annoying). Each dealership have different ratios of these people, I don't need to tell you where but you know when you step in. You know the vibe. Buying a car 101. Why are sales important? Because they negotiate for you on the floor. They are the middlemen, the gatekeeper. They talk to the manager to finalize the deal. You want someone who can bat for you and at the very bare minimum, someone willing to try. The waiting game? That's all bullshit, the manager knows the number already. They do this everyday. But before ChatGPT replaces everyone, this is the way. Let's talk about Porsche Livermore. Of all online inquiries, they were the most responsive and consistent with followups. Now, the way dealership work is, they get assigned cars based on a various amount of factors. This isn't a huge deal, if you are looking to custom order, as they can do that for you. But if you are on a budget or looking for a specific trim, you got to shop around and see what is available. Because truth be told, those online listings aren't always accurate, those stock images all look the same. Which is why, it is important the visit the dealership. Those small options can add up and next thing you know, you got to cut your daughter's piano lessons. Point being, figure out which options are important to you or make more money, so easy. Now, let's talk about JR. He was our guy and this was by chance. When you submit an inquiry online, it gets randomly assigned to one of the five people on the team. He gave us a deal, negotiated and gave us a great deal. Being a kid at a buffet, I had to sample everything before committing. Let's just say, at the end, I got an even better offer from another dealership. However, I did not enjoy that experience at all. I won't go into details besides *cough* it's at a place that starts with nut. Long story short, JR was able to match the offer and did it without hesitation. I am not the first customer to be singing him praises and I will not be the last. Porsche Livermore is currently undergoing renovations. Not gonna lie, almost walked off because I wasn't sure where the office was or even which door to knock. But here is the thing, I was there to buy a car. I wasn't there to be impressed by pristine polished floors or fancy glass offices where managers sit and never come out. When I went to Porsche Livermore, I met the entire team in a trailer, even the guy that detailed the car. They have a tight knit team and everyone feels like family. You don't get that vibe at a lot of other dealerships. End of the day, we all want to be fast & furious in a new Porsche but the most important thing is family. Just a note, there are tons of mixed reviews for any dealership. Salesforce being borderline unusable seems to plague the industry, same with paper jams. Now, this might be urban legend or a completely fabricated story but one sales rep told me, allegedly he tried to sell Marc Benioff a Porsche 20 years ago but it didn't work out because the car was too small. A lot of the credit goes to our Porsche Brand Ambassador, Daniel Fox, who was awesome to work with. It's been by far the best car purchasing experience we've had. He's is super knowledgeable. During the ordering process he gave me useful feedback on the car options, even suggesting not to option some things (e.g. the Mobile Charger Plus), which gave me budget to spend on other options. After the carrier dropped off the car, he immediately texted me a photo and let us have an in-person sneak peak before PDI. We even got to take off the factory shrink wrap! I spoke with David before I went into Porsche Livermore for a test drive. Prior to this, I had visited the dealer in the Peninsula and they didn't have the time of day for me and weren't interested in letting me test drive a used car. The experience I had at Porsche Livermore was completely different. From the moment I walked into the front doors, I was greeted with friendly faces. David was with another customer but he came over to give me the keys for a test drive. He even gave me pointers on which routes to take. I didn't end up purchasing the car on that visit since he was still with the customer. We communicated on phone and email a couple times before I went in to complete the purchase on a subsequent visit. David was very helpful and patiently walked through each option but was never too pushy. He also went above and beyond to follow up with me afterwards. If you're in the market for a Porsche, I would recommend checking in with David as he is relatively new to the dealership, he's transparent but not pushy, asks for assistance when needed and provides for a great experience. read more

I browsed most of the Porsche dealerships in NorCal when buying my first Porsche, a 2024Cayenne S Ehybrid. Decided to go with Dan Fox at the Livermore dealership as he was the most helpful and had the most transparent pricing, no after dealer markup (ADM), and no mandatory add ons from the dealership. Probably the best car buying experience I've ever had. The show room is undergoing a major remodel / rebuild so it's not quite as luxurious as the other dealerships but they seem to go the extra mile and more to make up for it. They also have many more cars available on the lot to see and drive, whereas the other dealerships have very limited space onsite and keep most of their cars offsite.
