Today I sold this little gem I had struggled with what to do with her for sometime she needed some work and getting in and out of this car wasn't as easy anymore when you are use to driving SUV's. I didn't want to go through the private party sector so I did what I always do when I have a big decision to make. I prayed, I asked God to guide me and give me the right person to contact. I called 3 companies that specialize in either Mercedes or Restoration of Classics. This is how it went I made an appointment to have someone come out to give me an estimate/evaluation the appointment was set for Wednesday 9:30 AM with a local company. Early Wednesday morning around 1 am I woke up and prayed again God send me the person who should buy my car. I went online from my iPhone in bed and keyed in the type of car I have a company specializing in restoration popped up from Northern California. I filled out a simple questionnaire and uploaded some pictures of my car. I went to sleep the next morning at 9:30 AM the local company from Anaheim came out although professional and kind I felt the price they were offering was too low. The man kept saying that's all your going to get...in a moment my phone went off a number I did not recognize hmmm, I said excuse me I need to take this call, on the other line a man who said "is this Lorraine" yes it is! Hello this is John from Dusty Cars in Pleasanton California he had the pictures in front of him and new a lot about my model type car. I said John let me call you right back if you don't mind. I said goodbye to the first man and called John Back! Whoa....he was professional and very knowledgeable he said what do you want for it? I told him he said Okay let me call you back tomorrow. He did and he made me a good offer I asked for a little more and he said yes! Thursday he called me and said Lorraine I'll be going to the bank tomorrow to deposit your money for the car. Thank you to my branch manager Kerri who made arrangements with the branch up North so that my account would not be compromised. John deposited cash to my account and a Transporter was at my house within 2 hours to take my car back to Dusty Cars in Pleasanton. I wanted to share this because something that I felt was going to be so much work turned out to be a Blessing that I know only God the almighty could have orchestrated! My first contact with Dusty Cars and in Person Douglas and Bruce has been around Christmas 2014. I was looking for a 911 Targa. I found it at Dustycars.com I live in Germany, 10 Miles off Cologne. So the whole Communication was done by E-mail and by Phone. Douglas and Bruce, both were very helpful and patient with all the questions i had. I got the impression that they answerd very openly, precisely, and honestly. While i had no time to travel, i had to make my decision by checking the really detailed Pictures and the apparently competent statements of Douglas. Finally i trusted my gut feeling and wasn't disappointed. Although the price was not cheap, and the negotiation was hard, it was the right decision. The Porsche was exactly as described. I am totally satisfied. It was and still is a really great car and i know, i will get more than my money back if i go and sell it. Nobody really want a cheap classic, everybody wants a quality one. Douglas and Bruce hopefully make good money with their Business because they do it with great integrity. 2016 i visited Dusty Cars and it was a pleasure to meet them both personally. Meanwhile i bougth two more cars from them. 2018 a "one owner, Ladydriver" Mercedes 560 SL for me and 2019 another 911 Targa (for a friend). Both cars in fantastic condition and exactly as described. Do not believe when they say highest prices paid we buy cars any condition i wasted a lot of time sending them pictures and information about a car i wanted to sell they asked me what price would i take we are interested in your car even put a smiley face :) in the emails i gave them a fair price that i wanted for my car where they could make a profit they declined then i dropped the price $ 5,000.00 LOWER to $20,000.00 it is a sort after car, cars in the same condition as mine sell for $40,000.00 to $65,000.00 Bottom Line do not fall for their sales pitch like i did where they say we pay highest prices because we sell to top end buyers The fact is they look for people that do not Know any better what their car is worth so they can get your car dirt cheap If you are looking to get a good price for your classic car GO SOMEWHERE ELSE do not waste your time and effect with these people . read more

I've been looking for a classic Porsche for a while, but finding the right one can be tough. I was pleasantly surprised to see a stunning 1960 356B Super 90 Cabriolet available at Dusty Cars. 356B Cabriolets are tough to find, because there were only about 3,000 made between 1959 and 1961. This is, without a doubt, the nicest one I've ever seen. Doug has spent years bringing this beauty back to its original glory. I've bought all my classic cars within a couple hundred miles of home.
