If I got could give this dealership negative stars I would. On Thursday, March 5 around 4pm, my husband and I walked into the dealership and were rudely greeted by one of the associates. While I tried to explain we were shopping for cars and had lived in a major city for a number of years and haven't had to have a car in over 5 years, he brashly started asking "well okay but what do you want? You don't know?" Trying to be patient, we reiterated we weren't exactly sure but had hoped to look at hybrids. He then started spewing off the different models, which of course we weren't familiar with since this was our first stop. When we finally asked to see a hybrid compact SUV, he said with a clearly annoyed expression and tone "okay so you want to see the CRV then?" Both my husband and I were pretty frustrated at this point and just walked outside to see it. The guy didn't even bother to bring the keys with him and the car was locked. He kept glancing at his phone and after a few minutes asked us what we thought. We both said "well obviously we'd like to see the interior." He replied "well the keys are inside" and proceeded to just walk away. Now for the kicker- the man opened the vehicle while still being inside the building and did not even bother to come out or explain anything. We both sat in the car astonished and were frustrated that he wouldn't even bother to come with the keys so we could turn on the vehicle and do a test drive with him. When he finally did decide to come out, we asked to drive the vehicle and he said he needs our insurance and license. I then said "well like I just told you we haven't had a car in over 5 years so why would we have car insurance?" His reply? "Well, you can't drive the car." He then walked away without even saying bye. It was the rudest, most unprofessional interaction we ever had. My husband and I were so appalled that we immediately ruled out buying any Honda vehicle. Toyota was a perfect 5 star and the associate drove with us since we didn't have insurance. I wish I would've caught this man's name but he didn't even bother introducing himself or asking us for our names. The experience was so awful I left this same review on Google to let people know what to expect. Expect NOTHING other than rudeness, especially if you have the displeasure of encountering this associate first. Don't bother coming here. This honda wasn't bad but not the best to visit. At least they were able to fix my car key when it was malfunctioning due to faulty programming. But what isn't good is how expensive it was just to buy a new key even though they're aware of the keys having problems. That should be a free change or be under warranty. We were looking to buy a used car with easy maintenance and good on gas. And that is exact what we got. We found Roberto to be very honest and he took time to understand exactly what we were looking for. The interaction was straightforward and comfortable- no pressure and no up selling just pure customer service. The dealer used Police to suppress customer dispute for their mistake. ---------------------- Avoid this dealer by all means. Don't buy Honda Odyssey: The vehicle has 3 very expensive catalytic converters which may go bad in 5 years (less than 40K mileage in my case, soon after Dublin Honda changed the engine piston/cylinder, a manufacturer recall job. Don't know what Dublin Honda did to my vehicle that damaged the catalytic converters causing the engine light to go back on again in only several months) and cost $1500~$2500 each to replace. And you have to replace them because otherwise the vehicle won't pass the SMOG check. Cost me over $5,000 or worth one-third of vehicle value to replace them. In retrospect, truly a bad choice for me to buy this vehicle. I have been suspecting that if it was not a vehicle quality problem, my young catalytic converters were intentionally or by negligence swapped with old ones from other vehicles at the dealership, in view my vehicle was left with Dublin Honda for over a month for engine repair. By the way, the vehicle was purchased right at this dealer. Don't buy from Dublin Honda because of their terrible after-sale service. The first thing I want to say: Ken Harvey's Dublin Honda is the first and only dealer or any auto shop I met in my life using police to suppress customer dispute, citing that Dublin Honda is a private property, even if I am their customer, I have no right to be there. The second thing I want to say: The police can only suppress the civil dispute, they cannot solve it. PS: I picked up my vehicle on the early morning Oct 8, 2022. While driving back home I noticed from the mirror that a long window sealing rubber was fluttering/flying like a snake alongside the vehicle so I drove back immediately to Dublin Honda. The window sealing rubber was clearly peeled off by their automatic washing machine. Even the fact is so clear and so obvious, the service manager Teroll Melton showed ultimate arrogance, rudeness, offered no apology, refused to repair and called the Dublin police. The dealer also messed up with the electrical wiring of my vehicle when they replaced the engine cylinders in 2021, a manufacturer recall job, causing some lights on the vehicle dashboard to behave strangely. Check Engine Lights went on and off cyclically for an uncertain period of time for no reason. Maintenance light turned on at 15% oil life, off at 8% oil life and back on at 1% oil life. There seems to be a connection between the status of Tire Pressure Light and that of the Check Engine Light. And many other weird behaviors. All these together indicate there is an on-going electrical wiring problem that they introduced when they replaced the engine pistons/cylinders: some wires going to the wrong device/sensor, damaged, burnt or short circuited, or not contact well. The dealer proposed a free diagnosis on the Check Engine Light Problem if I agreed to do vehicle repair there on Oct 7, 2022 (Unless I agreed, they refused to do anything). They quickly concluded that the catalytic converter --- something similar to muffler --- is broken and need to be replaced which could cost hundreds even thousands. Their so-called conclusion certainly in my view is ridiculous because it does not explain many other things. In my opinion, the dealer messed up with the electrical wiring when they repaired my engine last year, and they don't want to check and redo the wiring because it costs them too much to correct a big mistake they made. In my view, the dealer can only do simple works like routine vehicle maintenance; they don't have the expertise and knowledge to do complicated, systematic and advanced work: they will just screw up your vehicle without taking any responsibility. So if you have a complicated job like an engine repair job that requires high skills and expertise, avoid using Ken Harvey's Dublin Honda. Even if it is a small and simple routine maintenance job, you need pay close attention to minor things like missing tire caps, off window sealing rubbers, scratched surface, and screaming wheel sound at sharp turns. Had a horrible experience on July 27. I took my Honda Clarity for a factory recall. I decided to do a service as well since I was there. They took the car and mentioned they will text me in the a few hours. There was nothing from them, I went there at 5pm. They told me to wait and I waited for an hour. I finally got the car at 6:15 pm. The lady offered to wash it but it was so late that I declined. They gave a paper saying everything was done and green. Next morning there were a lot of warning lights about the Adaptive Cruise Control problem, lane keeping assist problem. Essentially all the adaptive cruise was not working. It was intermittent as if they had messed up while doing the other repairs. I took the car to them today. They said they will look at it but kept telling this must be a co-incidence. They did not text me as promised, I had to call. They started by saying not their fault and wanted me to pay for the new repair now. I used to go here earlier but will never go back here. I saw other people waiting in the evening yesterday for their cars but their service people had left. Okay so I want to start out by saying that yes, I did leave a review on google about how terrible of an experience we had due to wait time. We had an early morning appointment that ended up taking 8 hours for an oil change and tire rotation. Which to me- highly unacceptable. That defeats the purpose of a scheduled appointment. They kept providing a time of when it would be done and then it just wouldn't be. However, I wanted to add that it doesn't even seem like they gave our car the time of day. During a tire rotation the mechanic is supposed to physically check each tire and ensure that are all good. Well, somehow they completely missed a nail in my tire that was alerting my car with a low tire pressure. HOW?! It seems like the lack of care and human decency to do the task you're being paid to do is well and alive here. Do not trust this dealership. My experience with Dublian Honda started on Wednesday and ended on Sunday, and the entire time I was being pushed by Brittney and William to come in because they kept saying the car was ready or almost ready. That was not true. They repeatedly told me the car was "ready," "almost ready," "in detail," or would be ready very soon. They also kept promising photos, but the photos were delayed over and over again. When photos finally came, the car was still dusty, still in the workshop, and clearly not ready. On Saturday morning, I was told William would be there around 11:30, and I was also told the interior/leather still needed cleaning. Then I was told the windshield was being replaced and the car would be good to go that night. Later, I was told photos would come in a few minutes, then I was told to wait until the next morning. On Sunday, I got more delays and more excuses. Then at 5:05 PM, they texted that detailing took longer than expected and photos would be sent as soon as possible. At 5:09 PM, I called and was told the car had already been sold. That is not a simple delay. That is dishonest and completely unprofessional. They wasted my time for days with shifting stories, false readiness updates, and promises that were not true. I never even got to test drive the car. Do not rely on what they say. Do not trust verbal promises from Brittney or William. I wanted to start off by saying- I called Hayward Honda twice, and left a voicemail for a call back but never heard anything back. The third time I called, i got hung up on- I gave them 3 chances for my business. Yet; one call to Honda Dublin- I immediately get set up with an appointment within the same phone call in less than 10 minutes. I am already satisfied. Fast forward to today's service - I had an appointment at 10 am and I ended up arriving at 9:45 - with no hesitation Albert immediately helped me out. I mentioned my appointment wasn't until 10 and I am willing to wait, but he still helped me anyway. Albert was very kind when checking me in. Afterwards, he warned me about the wait prior to actually taking my car. Most services i've been to, tell me the wait time after they already have taken my car (at that point, i'm waiting). About halfway through the day, I texted to get an update and within 2-3 minutes i got a response. I made an appointment to have a roof rack to be installed at 8:00 AM and checked in on time. I was initially told over the phone the service would take 1-2 hours and then upon checking in person 2-3 hours. Five hours later, there was still no accountability or clear communication--each time I checked in, the estimated completion time kept getting pushed back. What was most frustrating was being told that "it's not like a doctor's office where an appointment means much beyond checking in." On a whim, we had decided to stop at Dublin Honda prior to going to Dublin Toyota to look at the Civic and Accord hybrids. We were met by Vince whom took care of us and showed us the cars that we were in the market for a Civic hatchback hybrid. However, we were looking at all of the hybrid vehicles and started to sit in each of them. Fast forward to the next Friday, we had decided that we wanted to go with an Accord Hybrid Sport. However, we had not test drove the vehicle and Vince scanned us in, and off we went with a silver Accord Hybrid Sport-L. Needless to say, we fell in love with this vehicle and were ready to come off the lot with it, if Dublin Honda was willing to part with it within our budget. We came to an agreement quickly - and was brought to Luis whom manages the finance. So this is something to note - Dublin Honda during payment.... will offer warranty and service extensions. These could be good for you, but YMMV. Be forewarned that this is coming and could add a several thousand on top if you take all of it. Also - you can actually put some of it on a credit card, and pay by cashier's or personal check. They are fairly good about the terms, and we made sure that we paid in full. The only issues we had was that there was only one key fob when we drove off the lot. We were told to come back, and I had asked if Saturday was okay (they said yes), and then come Saturday, they couldn't make the extra key fob, so I had to come in another day (Tuesday) and Joe helped to get the second key fob made. The cutting of the manual key is 5 minutes, and then if a service person is available, then the programming of the key fob takes about 10 minutes. However, if you book through Service, then be sure to be available for at least an hour. We had a great experience with the sales team at Dublin Honda, and look forward to potentially buying future vehicles from them. read more

We brought our Honda Pilot in for an oil change on Saturday, and Isabella provided outstanding customer service from beginning to end. Her communication was clear and thoughtful--she guided us through each step and even showed us how to use the online check-in system to save time, which was especially helpful since it was our first visit to Honda Dublin. Super convenient! After the inspection, we chose to replace the filters, and during that process, the team discovered a missing lug nut on the front passenger side. It was originally supposed to be ordered and installed at a later date, but Mr. Cher (apologies if the spelling is incorrect) went above and beyond--he found a spare nut and installed it within seconds. That level of attention to detail and genuine care for customer safety is rare and truly appreciated. I purchased a preowned 2008 Toyota Corolla CE, in March 2025. Next day it would not start(clutch starter switch faulty). Horn was not working and the TPMS light came on as well. Three of the sensors were faulty and found 3 in the glove box, brand new. I guess they never got to replace them. So I spoke with Joe the used cars manager and told him the issues. He told me to get the issues fixed, not with a a dealer, and he would compensate me. Got everything fixed. Called him an about 6 times and left messages. They never got back to me. SERVICE REVIEW: I was almost ready to give this place a great review until I picked up my car. I brought my car in for regular maintenance. Appointment was easy to make, and they have coupons on their website. They offer free shuttle service around Dublin and Pleasanton. Most communication throughout the day was via text, which is my preference. When I got a text that my car was ready, I got a shuttle ride back to Honda. Everything had been so smooth until I paid. I was told my car would be brought out shortly. I waited 38 minutes for my car. Others who came after me all got their cars and left. There was no waiting room inside, so I waited in 96 degree weather for over 1/2 hour. When I finally got my car, the complimentary "car wash" was a joke. It was like a car spray. I think when they texted me my car was ready, they forgot to wash my car. Then made me wait in the hot sun while they gave my car a little spray. My car was still dripping when I got it. This might have been a fluke, but I was really pissed being ignored while everyone else got their cars before me. At least someone could have given me an update. I don't think I would feel so bitter if at least they apologized for the long wait, but the guy just handed me the car and said the key was on the dash. Tony was the salesperson I met with, and he had the cars ready for me and had great energy. The Location has a great mix of city streets and freeway to really get a feel for the cars. The dealer building had some older, mint, Hondas and the whole dealership had a real and authentic feel to it. The other salespeople and workers were also friendly and genuine. An added bonus is that this dealer isn't installing overpriced add-ons like junk alarm systems are GPS trackers. I went in last Saturday for service with Fred at Dublin Honda in California. After the service, I did some digging and realized that I did transmission fluid change last time in 2024 as well as four wheel alignment. As a service advisor, Fred not only didn't point that out to me but also sold me those services which for transmission oil wasn't necessary at all. And I also got a second opinion from another technician and he said the rear brake shoe is obviously larger than 2mm and in the photo the measure is not 100% at all right angle. He also tried to sell me more than $200 for changing the wipers. The list goes on and on. All make me frustrated and feel they are not honest. I'll not consider going back ever. Review of Dublin Honda Service Department and Dublin Honda We recently had our brand-new 2025 Honda Civic Type R--just three weeks old--rear-ended. The body shop we chose works directly with Dublin Honda, so they coordinated the mechanical portion of the repair. Once Dublin Honda completed their work, we were told they needed to perform an "extended test drive" before returning the car to the body shop. Our body shop asked if we were okay with that, and we agreed--assuming it would be done during business hours and the car would be housed at the dealership afterward. Unfortunately, that was not the case. We were shocked to find out through our AirTag that the "extended test drive" involved taking our vehicle 20 miles away to what appeared to be the service technician's residence, where it was left parked on the street overnight. This happened over the weekend, so the dealership was closed, and we received no response when we called for clarification. The next morning, we received another AirTag notification: the car was moving again--but not straight back to the dealership. It made a stop at a Starbucks, where it remained parked for an hour before finally returning to the dealership. All of this occurred without any communication or explanation from Dublin Honda. When we contacted the body shop to share what had happened, they were just as disturbed as we were. They had no idea the car would be used in this manner and were concerned because, had anything gone wrong--another accident or mechanical issue--they would have been liable. They assured us they would reach out to Dublin Honda for answers. As of our last update, Dublin Honda had still not returned their calls or provided an explanation. To be honest, we're left with the impression that this "extended test drive" was more of a personal joy ride. Since the 2025 Honda Type R is in high demand and can't even be test-driven before purchase, it raises serious concerns about how the car was treated. Did they push the engine too hard? Grind the manual transmission? Slam the brakes? We'll never know. We want other Honda owners and customers to be aware: if your vehicle is serviced at Dublin Honda, ask exactly what an "extended test drive" entails. In our experience, it meant the car was taken to someone's home, parked overnight on the street, driven to Starbucks the next day, and returned without any transparency or accountability. We had been looking for a very specific vehicle for months. We finally found one at Dublin Honda. We live 2 1/2 hours from there so we wanted to make sure our efforts would not be wasted. I called and spoke with Tony who was immediately friendly and professional. He was eager to answer all my questions and work with me. We negotiated price and a time to meet over the phone. He even sent me a predictor of final out the door cost over email. We drove to Dublin Honda where we met Tony. He was very kind and genuine. I didn't feel like he was trying to "sell" anything to me, just help me simply buy a car. The dealership was very clean, modern, and well spaced out. Everyone greeted us kindly. We loved the car. Tony was more than accommodating. He went above and beyond to get me and my husband what we wanted. The process was the smoothest one I have ever experienced buying a car. We had our two high energy boys with us (under 10) and they did great there as well. I can't say enough good things about this place. I went to Stockton Honda looking for a specific Honda pilot to be told there was only 1 in CA. I knew more than the sales man. I left considering a model I didnt want to "settle" for. I looked again online Dublin Honda had a recent arrival called 7:57 3 minutes before closing still got an answer from Vincent. He offered to hold the vehicle until the following evening. I was hesitant driving from the valley thought the sales man was trying to lure me in! But the car was parked right in the front waiting for me. If I could give 10 stars I would. I want to start by saying this dealership has done a really good job with bringing the fun back into buying a car and really that's what it's supposed to be exciting not gut wrenching. If I could imagine what it may have been like back in the day for my grandparents to buy a car I imagine it like the experience I had at dublin honda. They honestly looked up the best financing deals and did not try to sell me things I didn't need. Very rare now a days for you to actually feel like a place is looking out for you. I really appreciated the way that Ken honored the owners history and brief story about his life. He said he has worked there a long time and the way he talked about the owner mr Harvey really tells a story about how Mr Harvey must look out for his employees as he does with his customers. Derek the newer guy helping us was great and I could tell Ken is looking out for him. Also I've never sat in a finance office and didn't feel like I had to fight off the finance manager. Alex was great. Sam I believe is one of the managers and was very fair in his negotiations with me. I enjoy negotiating and usually gear up mentally like I'm going into battle when ever I have to buy a car lol. This was not the case here. What a great team of guys they got here. Worse dealership by far! In my 15 years experience of purchasing vehicle I have never came across a dealership/worker like Dublin Honda! I have never been so insulted in my life to be called a fraud and a criminal! Purchasing a car, you definitely want to find the best deal out there, therefore of course you start to negotiate the price. Apparently people here never heard of negotiating????? I offered a price and the sales guy insulted me saying you want me to sell you the car at $$$ price? So you're asking me to comment fraud in paying your taxes to get it at the price you want?!! He showed us many options at different price ranges and allowed us to come to a decision. Because we trusted him, we felt comfortable in making an immediate purchase. Over the years I've bought cars from family, strangers, off Craigslist, and a used car lot. This is the first time I've bought from a dealership, and boy do I hope it will be the last. Sales guy was great, but once we went to the finance department it was a different story. I understand that that is just how dealerships are, but it's horrible and exhausting and I don't want to do that ever again. Craigslist was a million times better than this (though sadly these days it only seems to have salvage titles). We told the sales guy that we didn't want the LoJack and he said they would take it off. Finance guy had it on there and pushed it hard after we said we still didn't want it. Ten minutes of my life I'm never getting back right there. Then as I'm filling out the like 30 pages of paperwork he's pushing the warranty incredibly hard. To the point where he said he used to work for Toyota and they don't need warranties, but Honda needs them because my transmission will definitely go out. Honestly at that point I almost just left, I had wanted a Toyota to begin with so he almost talked me out of the car altogether. If this is why people like CarMax so much I'm just going there next time. My partner likes to buy from Hertz and while I'm iffy on buying rental cars that seems like a much better idea now. I will try every other avenue before buying from a dealership again. It is entirely possible that this wasn't as bad as other dealerships for buying a car, but why do we put up with this? I shouldn't have one of my largest purchases be so emotionally and mentally exhausting when it is already financially exhausting. read more
