I took my car here and they changed my spark plugs and coils when they didn't need to be changed. When he replaced my coils, he only replaced three to start with then my car misfired again the next day took it back there to get the fourth one replaced. asked him why all four weren't changed at the same time. He said that he had to wait for the last part from HONDA! so he indicated all my parts were Honda parts. He even gave me two different prices for aftermarket and Honda parts. I decided to go with the Honda parts. & I just took my car to Honda. They have indicated that they are all aftermarket and he charged me for Honda parts. This place is horrible. A new shop in Dublin. Although small, the owner/mechanic is super knowledgeable about my car's issues. When I pulled up, he was working on a Aston Martin! Which to me is a good sign. My old little smartcar was making some noises and I didn't want to bring it to Benz dealer who'll charge me an arm and leg so I brought it here. I received a free code diagnostic and advise on possible issue and DIY solutions before service. I tried cleaning the mass air flow sensor as instructed but ended up having to replace it. Hoi gave me an honest explanation of the issue, was fully transparent on costs including parts and labor without any hidden/unnecessary fees. Honest and reliable shops are hard to come by. I am always wary of car mechanics. The asymmetry in the knowledge between us and the mechanics means that we typically get played and either overcharged or convinced to get some services done which are otherwise not needed. My Sienna had one of the headlight bulbs blown out. I contacted various other mechanics, and their appointments were at least a week away. With the holidays approaching and travel plans in place, I needed to get this fixed at the earliest. I called this shop. The owner Shawn Mai said he could get it done on the same day and would cost me $40, which was just a small markup over the price of the bulb. I took the car to him. Shawn was very friendly and fixed the bulb in about 5 minutes. Interestingly, once he fixed the bulb, he looked at me and said, "now you know how easy is to fix this, next time you could do it yourself" !!!!. He then helped me fix some interior plastics. Each of his work was very thorough and neatly done. Interestingly, he did not charge me extra for the plastics repair. I urged him to charge me a fair amount for the time that he spent in fixing the plastics. To which he said "it is ok, I have time". If I had taken this to a dealership, I would have been charged at least $500. I have never seen such as honest, simple and friendly mechanic before. Such people should be encouraged. I have decided to take both my cars to Shawn for all works in the future. I urge others to do so as well. read more
