I had the pleasure of buying my first brand new car this weekend (2012 Mazda CX-9). I had originally went in for either the 2012 Chrysler 300 or 2008 Armada. When I arrived the Chrysler 300 wasnt in yet so we went to look at the Armada and compared it to a 2007 Yukon which I found out had a smaller engine but thinking about the gas was holding me back a little. Steven the person I was working with listened to what was important to me and suggested we look at the CX-9 and at first I was really not interested because the Armada was what I wanted but I took a look anyway and boy was I amazed for the same price of the used I could get a brand new one. We went over the numbers and they were great and not to mention their finance team got me the best interest rate imaginable. So if you are in need of a new vehicle go and see Steven Butterfield he is very thorough and not the sales pitch type he listens and truly cares what your thoughts are. Second he called the next day just to make sure I was completely satisfied which I was. He didnt talk me out of the Armada he made sure that the CX-9 had what I wanted but maintained the state of mind that I needed a gas saver. So thanks Steven for all the help. read more

Thank you Greg, John and Michael for all your help!! Felt very special. Love my CX5 Mazda! Overwhelmed by the technology the car has to offer but I'll get it eventually. read more

After bad experiences with shady dealers elsewhere, we made the trip (about a 3 hour drive for us) to Dublin Mazda. They offered us the lowest quote and were honest and straightforward with us. They were also very patient and accommodating to our specific needs. Kaz, Greg, Sean, and Big Mike were all helpful throughout the process. Thank you! We love our new Mazda! read more

I would not buy a car from this dealer nor another Mazda. In June we purchased a new CX5 (2016) from another dealer. After only having it for 2 weeks we had the unfortunate even occur on the 680 freeway. A gravel truck shot out gravel at all the cars behind him and our windshield cracked. It is a bad enough crack that we cannot drive it. Long story short, this happened back in June and we are still waiting for Mazda to provide a new windshield. Apparently, this model is so new Mazda is backordered oh this and other parts. Mazda doesn't expect to be able to provide parts until Sept or Oct!! Three months of lease and insurance payments and we haven't drive the car since June. I went into Dublin Mazda today to see if there is anything more I can do, and they were so rude and trivialized the entire issue as a minor inconvenience and couldn't understand why I was so upset. I was shocked how rude he was, and then he actually complained to me that he had 2 CX5's on his lot that he could not sell because he was waiting on windshields for them, REALLY! What a way to treat a brand new Mazda customer, I would stay away from this dealer read more

I consider myself an educated buyer who generally knows more than the salespeople I encounter. That was not the case here. Troy Dunlop, Product Specialist assisted my wife and I through the buying process. He was very informative and a pleasure to work with. This is our second Mazda CX-5 purchased from Dublin Mazda and have consistently received outstanding customer service. Thanks Troy! read more

Just got a Mazda 3 from this dealership, and overall I can say the service was great! I worked with Kaz, who was great and was a pleasure to work with. I had visited a previous Mazda dealership for a test drive back home in Hawaii, and my experience there had been completely different. The salesman was extremely pushy and wouldn't let me get a word in edgewise, just went on and on about the features. Kaz on the other hand was a lot more helpful, friendly and courteous throughout. He was really personable throughout the entire visit and I could tell that he worked hard to get us a good price. Genuinely great guy, and lots of pleasant conversation in between. Hats off to him honestly, he gave me the best service I could've asked for, especially given how long I stayed there for. In the end, we had to be redirected to Sean for the final word for pricing. He made sure to greet us personally, and was very courteous and professional throughout the process. In the end, he gave a great deal, and I can say I walked away from it all happily. Big Mike who did the financing was great as well, very quick and professional about final payments. He also made sure to explain all the extra package options and their benefits. Overall, a good buying experience that managed to make it within my tight new grad budget. And here I was thinking I might need to default to a Toyota Corolla for budget reasons read more

My wife and I might as well been invisible on the lot. Nobody even looked at us let alone came out to greet us. There was no other customer on the lot, so where were the product specialist? read more

We spent a few hours at Dublin Mazda today with my daughter who bought her first car; a used Mazda3. The folks in the show room made us feel like family. And our sales person, Richard U. was genuine and knowledgable. He made sure we got a great deal. The new manager, Sam was so friendly we almost bought two cars! Still might go back for the second one thank you Richard. read more

First I want to disclose that I am very difficult to negotiate with. GM of this establishment should take notice. I had gone to 5 dealerships while looking for a car, 2 of them Mazda dealers. Great representative for this Mazda dealership. I highly recommend you ask for Kiefer. I had a ton of questions and Kiefer answered them thoroughly and made us feel extremely comfortable. When we bought the vehicle, he was very neat with paperwork and he explained EVERYTHING!! Dealaerships need more sales reps like him. Keep at it Kiefer, you're a natural. I will definitely be sending you clients! Thank you Dublin Mazda for a great experience. read more

We give Savaun Davis 5 stars for his excellent service! We bought a 2017 Mazda 3 a week ago and he negotiated a good price for us including our trade-in. He also followed-up afterwards to make sure we were happy with the vehicle and returned calls promptly for other follow-questions. read more

I bought a new CX-5 from Bruce Bode, the internet sales manager, at Dublin Mazda. He quoted me a good price (lower than the other dealership I contacted), then we made an appointment and took care of the transaction. He made it really easy. It was worth the drive (this was not the closest mazda dealership to my home). read more

Can't comment on their sales department. But the service department is complete crap. Took my car there this morning and was promised it would be done by 12. Was also told they would all if they would be late. Went back a 1PM only to be told they had not even started working on the car and would need another 40 min. Gave up and took my car without having anything done. Will continue to drive to Mazda in Fremont where the service is much better and reliable. read more

Bought our Mazda5 from Kevin. Really nice guy. He was able to assure us that the car in the ad was in stock and didn't try to bait and switch us. At first, they weren't going to give much for my trade-in but finally came up enough to make it comfortable to part with my car. All the while, Kevin was sympathetic that I couldn't get the value I would like for my trade-in. Would go back again. read more

I am a BMW lover, and this is not my first one.... I purchased a used (2002, 325i this May) I left the dealership with every intention to write a 5 star review- Salesman (Jason K.) was awesome. They were all very friendly & "bribed" us with water and Starbucks coffee!. They negotiated on the price. The transaction to buy the used car took basically 3 hours and they did force me to run my credit even though I was paying off the car completely in cash (There was one guy- thin, older- telling lies about needing full coverage even though car is paid fully in cash- and that un-insured motorist insurance only covers you if your car is hit while parked- Lies. I checked with my insurance!) I Get the car home (to Berkeley where the roads are bumpy) This horrible undercarriage rattle starts. (I think-wheel bearing?) so...I bring the car to my mechanic and although all "safety standards" were all met- the car needed $3,000 worth of mechanical work! There was nothing legally unsafe about the car, but the brakes, "new" tires and belts were the poorest quality and those cheap shortcuts, almost ruined a nice car. Bottom line-I did not feel safe. The cheap material of the tires required 2 separate wheel alignments until we realized the tires were the issue... The cheap brake pads were causing that rattle. - car goes over bump, the break pads clash together... new brakes. My power steering was going out $1,000 (Not a safety issue?) Wow. Then assorted small repairs. When I called Dublin Mazda to tell them how I was in the hole $3,000 and this is what they told me: -That MY mechanic would probably try to uncover all of the little things to get money from me. "ARE YOU SERIOUS?" (This is MY BMW mechanic for many years- he is amazing, I want him to be thorough -Wouldn't you want your mechanic to be thorough when inspecting your car???) They cleared up that this would not be covered by the power-train warranty -That I chose not to buy the extended warranty from "Big Mike"- Also a nice guy (Guilty- I didn't spend $2,000 getting an extended warranty on a $7,500 car) -They repeatedly invited me to drive back to the dealership so their own same mechanic can look at the car again. What was he/she going to do? (#1-who has time to spend another full day at the dealership? No warranty is pretty clear, i'm not down with wasting time. #2- your mechanic WILL NEVER touch my BMW again, Once I figured out what caused my issues...I will be stripping all of the bootleg parts and putting quality parts in my vehicle!) I fixed the car out of pocket- as it was not worth the stress/ battle with Dublin Mazda -No warranty. Got it. Plus I wouldn't have their mechanic near my car... (chalk it to the game...) The End? (I wish!) heres the CHERRY ON THE TOP..... My registration & Vehicle title finally come by mail (After paying Dublin Mazda an extra $280 in paperwork/ DMV fees and.......... MY CAR TITLE has THE WRONG NAME ON IT. My name was NOT JUST MISPELLED- it was a completely different name. WHAT DID I PAY YOU $280 FOR? I did call them today when the title came in the mail, they promised to call me on Tuesday to correct it, They did apologize! Hopefully some redemption can be earned! Can we give stars back? I did have to put up the review, I wasn't going to because certain issues come with buying used cars. I think they take serious shortcuts either with repairs or inspection, cheap parts are a cheap way to do business and for me, that ruined it. Moral of the story: DO NOT BUY A USED BWM FROM THESE GUYS, (not ever) If their mechanic replaced any parts, your poor car was better off before, like mine was. read more

I didn't even buy my Mazda from this dealership and yet Jesse was very helpful to me over the phone this morning. That's good hiring practice, to find a guy who is willing to help. Makes me think the dealership has integrity. read more

Michael was the nicest guy there. He welcomed us so cordially and introduced us to the little snack area obscured by one of the offices -- thanks to him, we were able to treat ourselves to some free coffee/hot chocolate with a variety of sugar/creamers while we waited. They had some couches lying around so you could watch whatever was on (football! The staff gathered in the room and cheered their heads off). Doesn't look like much on the outside or inside, but Michael, older white gentleman who took us around to see and test drive some beautiful cars, and the other salesmen seemed both unpretentious and not crafty lil schemers like one we encountered at the Toyota dealership in Milpitas. I love that, and that sort of attitude really entices would be car owners to purchase! People love honest people. The selections were very reasonably priced, the used cars that was. One 2009 Honda Civic, low mileage, was priced around $13000 which we successfully negotiated to a couple hundred lower. They have a decent pool of cars too, quantity-wise. Go! read more

Before I went into Dublin Mazda I was almost sold on another vehicle at another dealership who were waiting for me to give them an answer before the end of the day. I walked in and was greeted by Kaz who was really friendly and not overly confrontational. I gave him my budget, which car I was interested in and what car I was comparing it to. He was super helpful and helped me find the exact car I was interested in at a price I felt comfortable negotiating with. He didn't try to do a hard sell right away, just crunched some numbers and options to get us the bottom line. That's when Reyes, the manager stepped in to roll up sleeves and make a deal we couldn't refuse. And he did just that. I was pre-approved already with my credit union and he got me a lower APR by a full percent. He showed me the full numbers, tax and fees and how it related all to the end number. After still seeing us wavering he let us go out and look at the car again. Kaz and Reyes gave us plenty of alone time to really crunch my budget and pros and cons of my other car choice. They never talked bad about the competition, and focused on the positives of the Mazda. At the very end we asked for just a little more wiggle room to take it over the top and he smiled and said he could make it happen. After signing some papers, I was off to see Big Mike in Financing and he was just as awesome as Kaz and Reyes. He was really easy to talk to and didn't push me to purchase anything unnecessary but let me know that they existed and why they existed and he was very earnest about what I didn't need. I felt great with getting the extended warranty at a price I felt good with, and I don't trust all the new high tech electronics of new cars and from experience it felt like a secure needed addition. I left feeling awesome about my car and my buying experience. I won't lie, it was a long day, but in the end, we were able to negotiate a bottom dollar price I felt comfortable with. read more

I was very disappointed with my experience, especially with Bill Schlovic. First, he wouldn't show me the car that I asked about. Then, I test drove one of the used vehicles after he assured me that there was a rigorous safety inspection done on all their cars. I'm no mechanic, but the car was making funny sounds. After demanding that the car be inspected again, Bill tried to talk me out of my fears that there was something wrong, probably because I'm a woman and a first time car buyer. Well, after that lame attempt, turns out the engine mounts were broken. Then, adding insult to injury, Bill had the audacity to tell me that they wouldn't fix it until I bought the car. Needless to say, I never went back. If you feel someone is slimy, go with your instincts. read more

I got regular service check-ups at Dublin Mazda for several years after the Hayward and then Oakland dealers closed. I am a woman, African-American, and not smart when it comes to car repairs. Up until recently I owned a 2005 RX8. At one point I needed the undercarriage replaced. The cost of the part would be two or three hundred dollars I was told, but the service was going to be around $700. I ordered the part, but could not afford the service so it sat in the repair shop for many months. They called me about it. So I finally went in to have it installed and when the particular service rep said it would be under $100, I couldn't believe my luck! Final incident: Curious about what they would say, I asked one of the dealership people to estimate the value of my car in case I wanted to trade it in. The estimate he gave me was $700. My car had around 75,000 miles on it. I was very disappointed. A year later I had an accident and my insurance appraised the value at over $5,000. I knew $700 wasn't legitimate, but still! I know that I should not have been as utterly ignorant about these matter as I was, but I also marvel at how those people at Dublin Mazda can smile and routinely cheat and steal from folks like me and look at themselves in the mirror. I don't know how many times I got fleeced by them, probably every time I went in for service. Luckily, I no longer have to deal with them. read more

I purchased my first 2013 Mazda 3 at this location in May. This was the first car I purchased on my own and I was a little skeptical at first. I didn't want a sales person to sell me on what they think I wanted but more on what suits my lifestyle. Bruce Bode was the gentleman that helped me. He was patient and offered me different selections along with knowledge of the cars he was selling. This made me feel at ease and I grasped a better understanding of my options as far as car selection, payment plan, and any other offers or rebates at the time. I was definitely happy with my purchase thanks to Bruce. Then a couple months later in September I was involved in an accident which totaled my car. I was devastated because I loved the 2013 Mazda 3 I purchased and I only drove it for a couple of months. I knew I wanted the same car again so I went back to Ken Harvey's. I was pretty stressed out and I needed a car fast because I commute over a bridge to get to work. I met a gentleman by the name of Jim Anthony who was another salesman there. He made me feel comfortable and assured that I would be walking out of there with a car that fits my every need and that I'll love for years to come. We looked at the lot at a couple of different styles. Of course I still wanted a Mazda 3 and he gave me a great deal on a higher trimmed Mazda 2013, one above mine. He was very knowledgable and showed me all the great features this model had and I was super excited to drive off the lot with it already. Not only was Jim patient, knowledgable, and very helpful but he also empathized with my situation and made sure I was getting the best deal I could. He talked to the financing team and offered me great savings and rebates which consisted of a owners loyalty program which saved me a lot of money. All the staff there are really friendly and they work as a team. They treat you like family and it's important to me that I'm comfortable especially making a big investment like this. I definitely recommend purchasing a vehicle from Ken Harvey's and I will come back for any future purchases. read more

I purchased a brand new Mazda recently and I come to this service department often. They are great here, always take care of my issues and questions. Every visit is very quick and the waiting room is nice and comfortable. A few of the guys at the front desk could use a little help in customer service though. They aren't friendly at times, try to rush you off the phone, and just act as if they don't enjoy their jobs. Jesse is great though, he always remembers me and has a great personality, but other than that I am very happy with Dublin Mazda. read more

My wife and I purchased our vehicle from Dublin Mazda and I can tell you that it was a great experience. My salesman, Garth was excellent. He explained the nuances of the car. We test drove it and really liked the ride and the interior of the car. We left and went to check out other dealers. Some of the other dealers tried to push a sale on us but I do like to buy a car like that. I like to check facts on a car, see if I can see myself driving that car, and I like to get as much of the things on my wish list as I can; even the color. We went back to Mazda and got the vehicle that we really wanted. The finance guy was the best as well. He was very nice and thoroughly explained what we were signing. Thanks Garth for making this car buying experience one of our most pleasant ones! read more

i wasn't planning on buying a new car...until mine was totaled after i got rear ended on the freeway. my rental coverage was almost up and after looking at a few cars online, i headed to dublin mazda for a couple of test drives. i was looking to replace my 2009 altima with a other sedan, but after being in a crossover vehicle for about three weeks, i was intrigued by something bigger. kevin was very helpful in showing me my options - i test drove a mazda cx5 and was sold immediately. it met my three requirements, black car, back up camera, and push start while being cuter and sportier than the rogue. i also checked out a mazda 6 and a newer altima, but my mind had been pretty much made up. i absolutely love my new car and had a great experience. i wouldn't hesitate to return next time i'm in the market for a new car...although hopefully that's not anytime soon. read more

Traded my BMW for a Mazda 3 and I am thrilled! I have been car shopping for a year; knowing that my 2002 BMW needed to be replaced. Good gas mileage was very important to me, along with hands-free calling and I wanted something that was fun to drive. I am so thrilled with my new Mazda 3 - drives like a beamer, the entertainment system is wonderful, intuitive, easy to use. And the Mazda gets avg 34 MPG. But the real story here is this fabulous Dublin Mazda dealership. Roger was my salesman and he was more of a trusted adviser than a salesguy. He wanted to know what I really cared about in my car; we looked at all the different models and test drove several. I told him the price I wanted in a lease and he got me a great deal. I always hate car shopping - I hate the whole experience - the haggling, the back and forth to the sales manager, etc. None of that at Dublin Mazda! I told Roger what I wanted; he went away for a few minutes - they appraised my BMW and he came back with such a great lease deal it was a snap! I never felt rushed. I felt that all of my questions were answered. John in Finance was super nice, and the actual paperwork took about ten minutes. I have never had such a pleasant experience buying a car. Thank you to both Roger and to John for being such professionals and really providing value. Also, I took my new car in a day later to Mazda service to get the Cila-jet protection applied (great value -recommend it, particularly if you have small children or grandchildren). Stan in service was courteous, friendly, had my loaner car ready and I was in and out again in less than 10 minutes. I am absolutely thrilled with my new car and I recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a new or used car. Make sure you check out the Mazda - it is a well-kept secret apparently that they provide tremendous value; European styling, totally fun to drive and gas mileage like a hybrid without the sticker price. Mazda has a new convert and I will be coming back to Dublin Mazda in three years for my next new car! Thanks again to Roger and to John for making this a great experience. I feel like I made some new friends in addition to getting a new car. read more
