Simply amazing!!! From drinks and beers to apps and entrées and most importantly the bartenders...friendly and engaging!!!

Absolutely loved this place! The vibes, the food, the beer, the service.. everything was top notch! You MUST get the nachos, they were amazingly delicious and I did not want the plate to end. Churros for dessert are also a must and the chocolate and caramel dipping sauces were to die for. The beer selection is vast and they have the options displayed on the wall, but are currently changing the menu. Overall the place is pretty tiny, but the long community table is such a nice and inviting piece that it really makes the vibes that much better. read more

I came here after a hike nearby and was disappointed to see they have very few plant-based/vegan options. The menu also did not match up with the menu online. They were accommodating in adjusting their vegetarian burrito to be vegan, but I would've loved to see a vegan burger and sandwich on the menu to be more inclusive to all customers (the online menu showed they had a burger, but it wasn't the case when I arrived). I would appreciate if you would continue to offer (and increase the number of) plant-based options! read more

This review is only for the drinks. We didn't order food as we'd had dinner elsewhere. It was slow, not very many people, but that worked out in our favor. We ordered a DIPA and a wheatbear. Both were great flavors. The server was attentive but not overbearing. We would definitely return. read more

Stopped in on our way home from Highland, NY. Cute little place that is long and narrow. Made our way to the bar and took a gander at the beer menu. Pretty impressive and many NY beers. Most drafts are between $6-7. M had the Suarez Family Ms Frank Kellerbier and Finback 3 minutes to midnight porter. Both were good. I ordered the Sloop Coco Baked Stout and the Hudson Valley Animal Balloon sour ale. The stout was good but I loved the sour! I ordered the grilled cheese and tomato soup for $12. The grilled cheese was good but the tomato soup was more like runny tomato sauce. Not creamy and definitely not as good as other tomato soups. Not worth $12. Honestly, even Panera Bread's tomato soup is much better. M ordered the chicken fingers and those were good! Lightly breaded and good size. The fries were a little undercooked. Bartenders were friendly and the place was fine for a quick lunch and beer even though it was a little overpriced. Not sure I'd ever be compelled to make my way back. read more

The food took a long time. My husband was given the wrong fish but didn't say anything because he didn't want to wait another 30 minutes for food. Also the guacamole was brown. The services wasn't great. The waiter never came back to check on us. I had to go find someone to get us water. I also had sauce spilled on me. Such a small, or rather narrow venue but its pumping out some amazing brews! We had the flights which are 4 for $10 nice size mini glasses. I was surprised to find that many I would have assumed I wouldn't enjoy-- I loved!! The B Nektar The Dude's Rug which is the most rando name ever was delicioussssssssss, as was the honey oat, the Mikkellar and another sour which I cannot think of. They have a solid variety for everyone's taste buds and have very many to choose from. We didn't get to sample any food but the overwhelming smell of rosemary was making me hungry. I cannot wait to come back and sample even more and try some eats from the kitchen :) read more

Great list of beers and cool atmosphere. But I've been here multiple times and always unfortunately run into rude bartenders. The one guy just seems like a miserable human, super unpleasant and inattentive. I have worked in restaurants and bars for 20 years and even on my worst day, I would never treat customers like he did. When I asked for a flight- pretty standard at a place that serves a wide variety of beer- he acted like I was personally inconveniencing him. I was told they were out of the flight glasses, and then proceeded to wait about 15 minutes while he leisurely washed a few. If I hadn't been in the service industry for so long, I wouldn't have tipped at all. He was also outside smoking every half hour or so outside and had the same crappy demeanor. Don't be a bartender if this is your personality- that's half the job. I won't go back and would not recommend. read more

Super place with excellent beer selection and wise beer-loving staff! My beer club came here and there was literally something for eveyrone. And it was all wonderful. Their sophisticaed tap system was something to behold. Although the space is long and narrow and defined by wood and bricks, it has a warm inviting feeling. The only drawback when we were there was a bit of an unpleasant odor towards teh back of the place. But that was probably just a one-off type issue. Amazing beer selection both on draft and in cans from highly rated breweries. I always keep an eye out to see what they have in stock. First time in Beacon for my fiancée and I. Saw this place and it's amazing draft list, and decided to grab a beer before we went home. Took the nervous and seemingly overwhelmed bartender over 10 minutes to get us a beer. The entire place had maybe 8-10 patrons. Then, I guess an employee off the clock, kept marching up and down the stairs behind the bar yelling and swearing downstairs, and pouring himself beers upstairs - all while awkwardly staring at us sitting at his bar unserved. At the end of the day, it's not my bar so I can't tell anyone how to run it. Maybe it was a weird, off day, who knows. What I can tell you is that the entire experience was off-putting and made the establishment look unorganized - and one that definitely doesn't really care about how they treat and appear to their customers. read more

**Update** - The owner promptly reached out via Yelp (I posted on both at the same time) and apologized for the below experience as well as offered a round on the house, pleased with both the outreach and timely response. To be fair, the food here is good, the beer selection is great, and the prices aren't bad. I've been going here for a few yrs with my friends and up until now, no complaints. However, the past few times my friend and I have tried grabbing a drink around 12 or 1am on Friday/Saturday night and the owner has turned us away or been outright unfriendly in some cases. I think his name is John. Given he's been friendly in the past and even acknowledged us as frequent patrons who never cause trouble and aren't roudy, this treatment the past few times we've stopped by when he's working only rubs me the wrong way. If we came by after last call? No problem. If it's been a slow night and business has been bad so you're closing early? No problem. The problem is when you're sitting outside your own bar in a chair reading a book on a Saturday night, and we approach asking in a polite and non-pushy way if you're still open for just one round, and you respond coldly with just a "no", not even looking at us, and then ignore us when we reply with "no problem, thanks and have a good night", I don't really feel any motivation to come back again. John, all you had to say is "Sorry, we're done for the night but thanks for stopping by and hopefully see you next time" and actually look at us while talking to us. That'd make me want to come back. It also didn't help that we passed on the street 15 minutes later and he was back behind the bar serving two customers after telling us we couldn't have a round. We were sober, not acting disruptive or stupid, and there was no good reason to turn us away in that manner, especially given our past patronage. Very disappointed. read more

We booked Draught Industries for our rehearsal dinner! It was wonderful being able to rent out the whole bar and keep it private for our bridal party and family. It was really nice that it wasn't a traditional "sit down" type of setting and everyone was able to mingle easily. We had an open bar and food deal for a great price! The staff made sure to keep everyone happy by bringing out appetizers quickly and making sure everyone had their drinks. The food was delicious! We were even in charge of the music. Just came here for the first time and it'll definitely be my last. The bartenders were so drunk and/or messed up on something they were barely understanding what my friends and I were trying to order. There were multiple people smoking vapes at the bar, customers going behind the bar, it was overall disappointing and really weird. *the owner and/or another part of management has since reached out to me to apologize* ***edit*** since posting this, I've had a handful of people reach out to me to inform me that this is the usual scene in this restaurant. Was ignored for 15 minutes on a non-crowded day (about 4:30 PM on Saturday) before we left. Staff was mostly tending to a group of 3-4 regulars/friends, who came in right after us and headed to the bar. Initially, the guy working was friendly and accommodating, bringing over food menus to where we were sitting and explaining which of the beers on the menu were kicked. But after 15 minutes passed and not a single employee came over, even to take our drinks order, we left. We sort of got the vibe they were trying to wait us out, so the party that came in could take our seats (which they did, the moment we got up). I'm a bit confused. Are you supposed to order food at the bar? That wasn't made clear, and since they brought menus directly to our table, it was safe to assume they would return at some point to take our order. If we had to order at the bar, it would be helpful to tell patrons that. Or list it on the menu. This place had a solid tap list and the food menu sounded good, but unfortunately I didn't get to try any of it. Place felt more like a "members only" venue. read more

I like that the space is narrower than the beer selection, which is impressive, dynamic, and easy to read posted in easily-updated slate on the wall before you make it to the bar. I also liked that they featured some beers from local breweries I have yet to visit or from which to sample - Elizaville's Sloop Coco Baked Stout is now on my must-get/must visit list thanks to Draught. The service is really good too, the bartenders regularly check on you if you are at the long table in front rather than you having to order at the bar. The food isn't anything I would consider fancy, but it's well-prepared, served quickly, and it doesn't deter from the real reason you're here, i.e, the beer. read more

I will be honest, I was very skeptical about ordering a burrito from a bar but was very wrong in my assumption on how it would be. It was one of my favorite burritos that I have ever eaten. Accidentally went during the anniversary party and the place was packed. Not enough service workers for a Friday night. Beer and cider on tap were good. Truffle parm fries were consumed so fast and I would go back for those in a heartbeat. Duck tacquitos were interesting. Good flavor on the accountremonts but the actual duck was a little bland. I had the burrito made vegetarian and it had no flavor. Tough mushrooms inside with no spices but a wonderful salsa served on top. The chicken quesadilla was also made with that salsa and was reported a bit on the spicy side. The fish tacos got excellent reviews and were gone in a flash but the best dish was apparently the Cuban. Not the right type of bread but large sandwich, fries and a dressed spinach salad on the side. read more

However, they have more variety now, including more cider options which is one of the deterrents before (only my better half can have beer). One hell of an olive branch. Ok so, had a really bad experience with the updates under the new owners last few times I had been in and as some of you were made aware the owners were less than thrilled with my review. I hadn't planned on returning, but recently my friends were up from the city and one is a beer nerd and really wanted to go. I told them the story but they dragged me in anyway and I'm glad they did. Greg knew who I was immediately and service was wow. Greg apologized, spent time talking beer with us, and offered me some good size tasters of some cool stuff he had behind the counter, including a collab can from his own personal collection. I still don't like the TVs, but I suppose I'll live. I didn't go in at night this round so no strobing lights or excessively loud music to contend with. Their Draught list did improve significantly and I applaud that. As well as them taking the time to look at the complaints I voiced that were largely agreed upon by a lot of former regulars. We had a good chat both via messages and in person and I'm really happy this turned around. I'll be back in, we'll see how a night visit goes ;-) read more

My husband and I found Draught on a Tuesday after a long day of driving. The owner was pouring, he greeted us right away, very friendly and outgoing. He asked our taste and we went through the on tap list and he made recommendations. Everything he suggested was amazing. We really love the hazy beers, but the list has lots of variety for other tastes too. I'm glad it was a Tuesday, one to meet the owner and two because it was a mellow scene to a busy weekend day. The next time we are on I -84 passing through Beacon Ny, we would definitely stop again, impressed! read more

This is a great place to grab a drink and gorge on some delicious Mexican food. We went there after a hike on the nearby Beacon mountain and even though it was a busy Saturday evening on main street, we were seated quickly (waited about 10 mins). The outdoor setup is cute and the service is impeccable. Our server was really nice, she even brought us hand sanitizer so that we could use it before digging into the tacos in front of us. The guacamole and tacos were all pretty good. Even though most reviews here are for their great beers, we decided to have the spicy margaritas to complement the tacos and they turned out to be great. We also tried one of their German lagers which was nice. Would highly recommend stopping by this place if you're in the area. read more

Crisp battered and very tender fish, with a great slaw with a slightly smoky aioli Chipotle artichoke dip (4.5 stars): also smoky, cheesy, very savory; came with tortilla chips Reuben beignets (5 stars): more like croquettes. These were so creative and addictive. Very crisp coating, cheesy and meaty center. Could eat these all day Service: quick, friendly. Order at the bar. Seating along the long bar or at the communal table in front. No problem for 2 on Friday night at 7pm but filled up when we left. Sadly disappointing. Friends recommended this place for the good beer list and solid bar food, so we went in looking for their old menu. They've hired a new chef and changed the menu - but we decided to try it anyways. The truffle fries (pretty tough to mess those up) were bland, the flatbread pizza was awful, and the burger was small and tasteless. The beers were good. The bartender was obnoxious, swearing every other word at what sounded like the top of his lungs, and the place is so tiny there's no escaping him. Keeping my fingers crossed that they make some staffing changes so we can try this place again on our next trip. read more

A narrow, brightly-lit space with an exceedingly long bar and an exceedingly long stretch of draft taps to match, Draught Industries was yet another world-class bar in an unexpected place. Their selection was varied, yet cutting-edge with a good mix of styles and several rarities. On a cold and lonely Saturday night in November, we stopped in here for a beer and stayed for a few more. Among their offerings was the one that drew us in: Prairie BOMB! (99 on Beer Advocate), a flavorful stout that was high in alcohol and flavored with cocoa nibs and ancho chillies. Paola claimed this as hers after the first sip and it got better as it warmed, releasing more of the flavor of its ingredients. I chose another, Crooked Stave Progenitor, which was a well-balanced wild ale, sour and fruity, yet complex and not overpowering. I followed that with the St. Bretta (Valencia Orange), which tasted similar, with what I suppose was a tint of orange mixed with the sourness. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, especially about the other local breweries in operation and in planning. After a few hours chatting and sampling what they had on offer including Dogfish 120 Minute 2014 and 2015, I wish this was our neighborhood bar. Unfortunately, we were only in Beacon for the weekend but we will return and make our way back here. read more
