Wow talk about walking into a time capsule. This establishment brings you back to the 70 's . I ordered a old fashion and was not disappointed . Collin the bartender really made me feel like I was at that cheers bar where everyone knew each others for years. Definitely felt the love . The prices are what you expect from Manhattan. The decor like I said is a throw back to when drinking was all everyone did. The patrons are friendly. please do your self a favor and stop in and have something to eat which looks so delicious and a drink you will leave with a smile.

So. Running around in nyc. Hungry for some bar food. Look up this place. Thanks to yelper friends who left reviews. It's a really fun spot. Playing 90s rock music. Tv on. It's pretty loud. But nice ambience. Great staff fast service. Good food. It's also a small nightclub after hours And they have outdoor seating. Try if you in the area.

Date: Wednesday, May 7th, 2025 Time: around 7:30pm My group of 4 stopped by for a bday get together in the back room. It was pretty crowded when we arrived, but we headed straight to the back. They had grabbed some tables in the corner as there were a fair amount of people here already. There was a TV which was great as it was during the NBA Conference Semifinals and the Knicks were playing. We partly went up to the bar and grabbed drinks and partly ordered from a server. I think there were some fries in the mix as well. I know one of my friends saw the specials at the bar, so we did end up with their shot of the day, cocktail of the day, etc. When it came time to order from he server, I wanted a spicy margarita so got that. I know I was handed pours of jameson at some point as well. Vibe is as expected during sporting event. Bustling and fun. REVIEW #3767

Opens at noon, & food is served from noon to midnight. Good selection of salads, & the beef chili was great. The wings were only mid, but you can't win them all? No German pils on tap, but the Stella was cold & very fresh. Good vibes in here at all times, day & night, & great mix of all types of people from all walks of life vibing together. The world needs ALOT more of this right now! Clean inside, & very friendly & attentive staff, & fair prices.

OMG, this place was amazing! I finally understand why they asked for my name--and I loved the surprise (peep the pic!). The friendly vibes, delicious food, and impressive whiskey list were absolutely on point. I stopped in before a Broadway show, and it was the perfect way to kick off my time in NYC! I only wish I could have stayed longer! Next time!!

While in town for a team meeting, my colleague and I went to grab some pre-dinner drinks. I like a good "dive bar" and the Whiskey Tavern checked off that box for me. As we sat down in one of the booths, our waiter came over right away, introduced himself to us and also asked for our names. I thought that that was a nice touch already but what later happened would certainly exceed my expectations... Anyway, we started drinking and chatting, ordering some snacks and then...at some point...I look up and see a sign that reads: Happy Monday, Uli & PJ. I really was surprised as I have no idea when they hung that up! Really, really loved this personal touch! Oh...and they rounded up our evening with a free tequila shot! Nice one!

Great location in Chinatown, nice surprise open early in the day. Service is outstanding. Great place to visit after lunch around the corner. Drinks were made well, beer was cold. Music was fine, DJ was spinning tunes in the evening.

Stopped in to get out of the cold on a girls trip to NYC, after shopping on Canal street hoping for a place to warm up without spending a ton. Coming from Austin; we love a good dive bar and this is exactly that. A GREAT atmosphere, the bar tenders were fast and so nice, made us feel right at home never like an outsider! Michelada was great as well. Highly recommend this place! 1000/10!!

Stumbled in here after our company holiday party. It was just the vibe we were looking for! We ended up sitting in the back room. It was kind of quiet but still had music playing, lots of Christmas decorations. It was perfect! We ordered a bunch - quesadillas, tater tots and chicken fingers. It was just what we needed. And some shots (which we probably didn't need lol). I'd definitely come here again.

You will never not have a good time here. Every single employee makes you feel special, every visit! Great drinks and food, fair prices. You can't help but dance, laugh and sing along because the DJ is great, always!

Thee best pretzel I've ever had hands down! Cute intimidate bar with TVs for sports watching. Great food menu and drink list, paired with an immaculate playlist!

Stopped by here on our dumpling crawl and we had the best time. The atmosphere is fun; there's bubbles, incredibly nice staff, and fun name signs (wont elaborate, just go and find out). Most importantly, drinks were strong and affordable. Highly recommend; make the stop. Sips and Sizzles loves Whiskey Tavern!!! Instagram @sipsandsizzles

The Peekytoe Crab Cake had a perfect crisp on the outside, tons of flavor, and an excellent nori aioli. The standout for me was the Eggplant Zen, which was incredibly flavorful and well put together. From the moment we walked in I was hopeful, the girls at the window were great checking us in, but there was a slight issue and I felt that shifted our entire night. We sit down and the tables are TIGHT - we were sat right next to the stage and the woman that was on was GREAT... digging the vibe, super excited - my arm would constantly touch the girl next to us and we then started all talking to that table as well so it became less awkward but still... Drinks come, Ok - My drink I had to assemble myself which was cute I could make it too my liking, I just might have liked if there was actual alcohol with it... Then food, apps were Ok... The mains, NO... The steak had NO FLAVOR, not even bad flavor, NONE... Then the music changed, and the band that went on after was just NOT a vibe - what we had hoped would be a cute, cuddle in a little booth, get some music, good food, turned into a "are we done, lets hurry and go drink at the hotel bar" experience! Sad because I wanted to love this place, and maybe another booth where my ass wasnt on my neighbors chair, and the music was a different band might change this whole experience!

Although the song is about love,…read moreand not dining, I've found that when I have an impeccably perfect time at a restaurant, the subsequent visits just don't measure up to that first time. And this isn't entirely the restaurant's fault: when, as a customer, you've already tasted a good part of the menu, seen the decor, experienced the good service and ambience, it's really hard for future visits to be "as good as the first time." But then there's Parlour Room that dazzles me every time I visit New York. Last Saturday we sat at the same booth as our first visit and were lucky enough to have Jesus as a server again. I was so excited to see him. We had so much food that we had to take a good amount to go, but let me give you the rundown. New things we tried this time: Octopus: I've never had octopus in my life. And I've never wanted to try it. No interest at all. But a Parlour Room suggestion? Okay, sure. I trust it. And guess what? 10/10 Ribs: The presentation was pretentious in the best way, but still, my expectations weren't too high. BUT they rivaled the best soul food restaurant. Fall off the bone and full of flavor. I couldn't believe it. Another 10/10 Mac and cheese: I wasn't enthusiastic about ordering this because I didn't want all the carbs and cheese. Then I couldn't stop eating it. 10/10 The usuals: burger and fries, meatballs, and deviled eggs. Always 10/10, or 5 stars, in Yelp standards. :) The drinks and dessert were unbelievably decadent as well. As usual. What an evening. One more thing...They changed the menu recently, and in my experience, that usually means some sort of disappointment as you discover they've gotten rid of your favorite dish, added uninteresting things, and/or consolidated the offerings in general. But Parlour Room was thoughtful in this regard--unlike anything I've seen before. And what a relief. When I didn't think the menu could get any more perfect, they went and concocted another level of perfection. Oh, I love this place.

He is generous with his knowledge, happy to answer questions, and clearly loves sharing what he has curated. One of the best moments, my wife asked for something sweet, wheated, and low proof, over a single cube. He smiled and said the hardest part of that order was the ice. No ice. Everything is served neat. A purist's paradise. Seating is extremely limited and there are no reservations, so get here early. Watching the locals roll in was half the fun. Tucked into the Financial District, this spot blends old New York history with some of the best cocktails in the city--and it's easy to see why it's been named "World's Best Bar" more than once. It adds a layer of character to the place, but what really keeps people coming back is the atmosphere and the drinks. The space is split into two levels: a two lively, sawdust-floored Taprooms downstairs and a more refined Parlor upstairs if you're in the mood for a quieter, cocktail-focused experience. Drinks are the real highlight here. The Irish Coffee is widely considered one of the best in the world--rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced with whiskey, coffee, and fresh cream. All of the cocktails were expertly crafted and I really do mean "expertly" in every sense of the word. The bartenders here are extremely knowledgeable. If all the cocktails we had, and we had many, my favorite was one in which i challenged the bartender. I ordered a lamb burger which was great and I had already drank and old fashioned so I wanted to try a daiquiri. Knowing the flavor profile of each of these two items, I thought they would clash but the bartenders assured me he would make something that accompanied the lamb well. The bartenders assured took some time to think about how he would create an accompaniment to my lamb in the form of a daiquiri. I was skeptical but when I was served my drink as I was eating the lamb burger, what he concocted was nothing short of genius. A daiquiri is normally acidic and sweet but this one was earthy and made the perfect drink pair to my lamb while staying true to the way a daiquiri is made. Amazing place to grab a couple of drinks. Well worth it!
