I stopped in hoping to get a quick drink after work before a dinner, I stood at the bar for 7 minutes completely unacknowledged. Once I was acknowledged, the bartender immediately ignored me and refused to take my order. I spoke up and said that it was rude that I was waiting for so long with no even, "hello welcome in", I was asked to leave for expressing my frustration. I will never return and will certainly never recommend anyone go here for even a glass of water.

Eastpoint was a great place for drinks and ordering appetizers. My friend and I ordered the Frozen Strawberry and Mango Margaritas which were delicious. We also ordered the Seasoned French Fries with Aioli dipping sauce. The French Fries were fresh, flavorful, and the dipping sauce brought the French Fries to the next level. The staff were very friendly and kept checking in on are table to make sure everything was okay. The staff we're very pleasant and also recommend items we should order of the menu. Eastpoint is definitely a place I would come back to try other items on the menu.

We started coming here in February 2024 when we were looking for a bar that played Bravo shows (specifically Vanderpump) and found this spot! VPR is typically on Tuesdays when they have $3 taco Tuesdays and $3 tecates. We also loved seeing one of the bar tenders little dogs run around and learned their a dog-friendly establishment - inside and out! When it started to get warm they opened their outdoor seating, only for us to learn they have covered outdoor TVs in their outdoor street-parking booths! We love that they always have sports on and finals (we're here for Copa America games now) and their 1/2 off all drinks for Happy Hour til 7 on weekdays is great. Today their frozen margs are $5 instead of the typical $14, a deal that can't be beat for frozens in New York. Ambience and deals aside, the food, drinks and service are always great. This place is super reliable. Highly recommend for Happy Hour or sports. Haven't had their food outside of their tacos (or that time their chef made a random cake!) but I have pretty good expectations at this point.

Eastpoint is good for what it is. This is a bar meant for lively gatherings, cheap tacos, and cheap booze. If you're expecting authentic tacos, you will be disappointed. I came here for their taco Tuesday special ($2 beef, shredded chicken, and veggie tacos) and it also happened to be national margarita day ($5 margs). I got a beef and shredded chicken taco. The beef is NOT carne asada. It was ground beef, like the type of beef you'll find in a Taco Bell taco. It lacked seasoning as well, but that was remedied with some Tabasco. The shredded chicken taco was seasoned much better, and I was surprised how yummy it was after experiencing the less-than beef taco. If you're looking for cheap tacos and drinks, this is your spot. You have to know that it's not going to be taqueria-grade, though. Not sure if I would come back, but I'm glad to have gotten $2 tacos for the night. Also, if you check in on Yelp, you get a free house shot!

Absolutely love Eastpoint! Definitely ask for Maeve, MJ, Katie or Carly as your waitress -- they are the absolute best!! The food and drinks are always great. The service is fast and the girls are so sweet. Definitely will be back!

We went to Eastpoint to grab a bite to eat. It was fantastic! We discovered something new and loved it. I mean how often do you go out to eat and come across a tasty new mode of food transport. It was a burrito in a cup. I know it sounds odd but it wasn't. It was like a burrito that didn't leak! Which is pretty much something I never thought I'd see. I asked the server what it was and she told us it's called a StuffMe. The name made a lot of sense cause you can put anything edible in it and go to town. The food was great, the vibe was great, the drinks were great and discovering the new improved burrito was just super cool. We will definitely be back.

Where do I begin? This establishment deserves more recognition than I could ever provide from a mere yelp review, however, I'll do my best. The vibes in the air were special from the moment we walked in. Music was out of this world, it was like the DJ knew the inner workings of my brain, more so than I knew myself. The service was knock-your-socks-off good. I never had to wait to order a new drink because we were being checked in on so often. All 6 tequila shots were handled with delicate care. The floor was cleared later in the evening for more dancing space and all parties took advantage of this, embarking on a night they'd never forget. I for one will certainly never forget this place and I'll fight every day to make sure everyone knows it exists.

These nachos were sooooooo good a little watery at the bottom but alll dressed up so delicious flavors the outside seating is such a good vibe too

*Upon checking in through yelp, you get a free shot! (February 2022)* We came here for taco tuesday + national margarita day. Upon coming in, we were offered their last standing table near the front. It was a busy night, and so it understandably took us a bit to get our order in, and food out. Definitely a higher energy place, decor was nice, would be a fun place to go with friends, especially for friends into sports! We got our shots, a blueberry margarita (which was okay -- mango or strawberry would probably mesh better with the ingredients), and a bunch of the $2 tacos! Note that Taco Tuesday deals are not applied to all tacos -- only ground beef, shredded chicken, and veggie taco. Unfortunately, while I don't have regrets as the tacos were only $2, they were quite disappointing. The chicken was definitely better than the beef, as the beef had virtually no seasoning. I would never purchase either at their regular price of $12 for two tacos, but if I happened to be in the area, hungry, on a Tuesday, I wouldn't pass up the chicken tacos for the price!

I went for a Tribute Society event on a Friday night and it was such a nice time. The event was held in the basement and it was so nicely decorated. The vibes were great and the event was so nicely put together. I had a series of margaritas and they were all the right amount of strong and savory! The bouncer told us the first floor was a good time as well, I will make sure to come back to check it out

This location is convenient to Grand Central, Bryant Park, & Times Square. I was excited to find them after a getting off the Metro North. Unfortunately, the two times that I've eaten there hasn't been great, compared to their other locations in NoHo & Union Square. I'm not sure if the more touristy ambiance & customers makes a difference. First visit got the Pork Adobada Taco ($5-ish). It's similar to Al Pastor (even served with a few pieces of pineapple) but spicy. It's pork marinated in an adobo sauce made from dried red chiles (like guajillo or ancho), vinegar, garlic, and spices. The corn tortilla was very fresh & good but the pork was SO spicy. Some kind of chili oil was drizzled on, in, within, at the bottom. It comes with a sort of green crema. I barely finished - thought it was a joke or something. The second visit I got the Adobada (requested Zero spice) & a Chicken taco. The pork meat was delicious & reminded me of the first time I had Los Tacos No. 1. The chicken seemed like dark meat & was either over-marinated, slightly undercooked, or on its way out? resulting in weird mushy, slightly liver-like consistency. I even picked through the pieces to check for pinkness...the meat was just dark with little flavor. It came with a dollop of guacamole that didn't have much flavor. The corn tortillas also seemed slightly mealy/mushy & underdone. They weren't airy & slightly puffed as usual. I'll probably go back because their location and cost is convenient. But have to make sure the pork has No Spice & not sure how to ask for "done" tortillas. There's always a line at Los Tacos but it moves fast. The condiments & radishes, limes are always fresh. The staff is always pleasant & work quickly customizing your taco, wiping down the All White! hightops & refilling napkins. Don't think there's a restroom FYI.

We had our usual list of spots in Midtown East, but this time we wanted something a little different. We ultimately landed on Mexican, however even then there were several spots to chose from. One of my colleagues found CdM, and since we had nothing to lose we decided to check it out. In terms of physical space at CdM, there is very little; this is actually a walk-up spot hence it is solely a takeout restaurant. The menu is pretty straightforward - lots of Mexican staples with a good variety to choose from. The burrito bowl looked good so I decided to go with that - I was given choice of protein (I chose pastor) and types of beans (I chose black). The bowl was really good - all the ingredients tasted fresh and they were generous with the portion. They added sour cream to the top of the bowl and it came with a side of salsa verde which I thought was a nice touch. We also ordered some bags of tortilla chips to share - these were my favorite kind as they were semi-thick and super crunchy. Overall, I had a solid experience at Cinco de Mayo. It definitely hit the Mexican craving spot and I would have no qualms returning for another meal.

The birria tacos were really good (or so my son said) but sadly the taquitos were terrible. They literally just had unseasoned shredded chicken (but serves me right for ordering something so basic). The energy was flat, and that lack of enthusiasm carried right into the food. The menu needs a complete overhaul. I'm not sure if it's trying to be "different," but the taco options were unappealing just from reading the descriptions. I managed to choose the two best-sounding items I could find, and honestly, they were so bland I don't even remember what they were. The setup and decor were basic. This spot could be a fun hangout, but it would take a better menu and staff who actually seem to care. It feels like just another restaurant that's lost sight of creating an actual experience for guests. The lack of vibe is obvious--if you don't want customers, just say so. I didn't see any but saw buckets for umbrellas. I opted not to leave it there since I didn't wanna forget or risk someone taking it. I took it upstairs with me. My friend had arrived and was seated. Apparently, they do offer sleeves because she got one. But the 3 people who were at the hostess booth failed to offer me one. The beautiful ambiance will get your attention immediately. It is a stunning space. The tableware was gorgeous as well. We waited for our last friend to arrive who was almost half an hour late before ordering (we thought she'd arrive sooner). Our server, Matias was gracious about it the whole time. What we ordered: Drinks: Passionfruit Margaritas & Mojito - we were happy with them. Tlayudas, Guacamole y Salsas - this was really good and a great option for the table to share. The homemade chips alone were excellent. Liked all the different dips. Guac could've used some cilantro and more acid/spice. Tán Ceviche - I loved this. Super fresh and great flavor. Could use a touch of acid. My entree was the Shrimp & Crab Enchiladas - This was pretty good. The sauce could've used some spice and some acid to cut through the richness. My friend ordered the Yellow Corn Soup as part of her meal and she did not like it. She said it was too sweet which I thought was strange. I tried a spoonful and I agreed with her. It needed a savory note and again, acid would've done wonders. Also, the crab was a bit fishy in this. She enjoyed her tamal though. I tried a touch of the sauce and it was delish. My other friend had the Quesabirria which she was also happy with. To sum up: Ambiance: 5/5 The space is undoubtedly gorgeous. Food: 4/5 Beautiful presentation on everything but each dish lacks an element or two to make it a home run. Staff: Wait staff 5/5. Downstairs staff (greeters/hostess) 4/5. Needs to be more on point like offering customers sleeves for umbrellas or pointing out the buckets to put them in. At some point through our entrees a group of 3 women were doing a 10-minute photo shoot by the stairway where our table was. Absolutely inappropriate behavior and a manager should've stopped it. Camera flashes all up in our faces while we're eating wasn't cool. Overall, still a great elevated Mexican cuisine option. The slight tweaks would make this a 5 star place for me. I'd return to try more things.

Personally, if it wasn't for the drinks and the space, I cant say this place is worth it - you're not coming here for the food. Another little complaint I have is the women's restroom on the second floor - right by the door is a floor to ceiling mirror which I understand was included to make the space seem bigger, but my friends and I agreed that it is a little misleading - I kept wanting to walk into it thinking there was more space there and not wall. I would recommend maybe putting a decal on it to clearly show its mirror.
