ordered around 1:50 am. been waiting for over an hour to get food. Granted they had several drhnk college kid incidents but only have two people working for a friday night in a college town. it's been over an hour. i know they are working hard but DP Dough needs to hire more people or have more people working this shift. i have never had to wait over 20 minutes for food on the hill. the food is good but for over an hour wait it is not worth it. it'd be better to try somewhere else read more

Very rude personal. I talked to one of the managers and didn't even care to listen to what I had to say, he just made poor judgement of the situation and just went with it. I ordered a calzone and requested mushrooms in it but they didn't add them. When I went to let them know, they just dismissed me and said that I didn't order them. I told them I had but they refused to correct the order and said it would have to be a while new order. I said money wasn't the problem, it is the fact that they didn't even consider they made a mistake and try to make the customer happy. I had an order of 4 calzones and they didn't care to even try to fix anything. I will never go back to this place again. Worst experience ever! read more

Is this going to be the best calzone you've ever had? Probably not, but it is a pretty good calzone that you can get pretty late. I've gone to this location a few times, usually after 11pm, when not much else is open. I typically order online to pick-up. My order is usually ready within 5 minutes of their time estimate. They have a menu of set combos in your calzone or you can build your own. They also have vegan options. The place is pretty unassuming. It's a small place with some seating available. I usually do take-out, so I've only sat down to wait for my order. I am sure I'll be back when in the area. read more

I've been to DP Dough quite a few times. Let's just make this clear, it is a hole in the wall calzone place. Get off your high horse and don't expect 5 star service. You're going to get real, authentic people who are making the most delicious calzones. If you're nice to them, they'll be nice to you. Also, yes you wait a bit for the calzone but it's not fast food, it's fresh AF. So if you want something in 5 mins, go to Pizza Hut. Inside they have arcade games a few tables to wait but honestly I've never eaten there. Give it a chance, you'll be surprised at how awesomely delicious the calzones are. read more

Unreal how bad the service is!!! Ordered two calzones for pickup, waited about 20 mins beyond the original pickup time. Upon opening our order, we had one calzone (barely warm to the touch) and a half eaten cookie inside the other calzone box. Extremely disappointed in the customer service and experience. Great customer service! Food was good too. Chris was the man, and fixed a tiny issue with my order. Beyond that, he handled it kindly, and talked to me with respect, and was understanding. My drink was missing (which isn't a big deal) and It also may have been Uber Eats fault, possibly DP Dough. Regardless, when someone hears you out, is respectful to you over the phone and tries hard to make the customer satisfied (even if it's over a silly cheap $3.00 soda) I think that speaks volumes about how good a business is. Along with Trader Joe's, I would marry DP Dough if possible. Passing by DP Dough, you wouldn't think it's anything special but this place holds a special place in my heart. There was a DP Dough in my college town and I went there many a times after a night of boozing, always ordering the Buffer Zone with chicken, bleu cheese, mozzarella and buffalo sauce. Soooooo when I saw a Living Social deal for DP Dough, I nearly pissed myself with excitement! When we walked into DP Dough and I saw not only the Buffer Zone but about 20 more calzone varieties I've never seen, I could barely speak. So many choices I tell you but true to my past, I stuck with the Buffer Zone and it was absolute bliss. Ooey, gooey, cheese with just a little kick of buffalo sauce, I was in calzone heaven! This location has a pool tables and seating area which I've never seen before so it was nice to actually sit inside when I planned on carrying out. Your belly will be quite full, but who cares? Although I love MEAT, I tend to go for the veggie options here. I think they just taste better wrapped up in the cheesy delicacy. Wowza.. that's a lot of zones'! Bf bought a couple of the living social deals and I'm definitely glad I got to go along for the ride. So many choices.. chicken based zones, steak, hamburger, veggie there's definitely something for everyone. The dough was nice and flaky, I prefer the steak to the chicken zone but I definitely look forward to trying many of the different flavors. And their cookies... MMMMMMMM so good! I cant believe I haven't reviewed this place yet, I feel like I'm here once a week! The food isn't the most healthy for you, but they do offer salads! I have had the buffalo chicken salad which is delish if you like their buffalo sauce. The chicken is nice and crunchy and deep-fried and the veggies are fresh. As far as the calzones go, you will not be disappointed. My favorites are the Buffer Ranch and the Chicken Fajita. The Buffer Ranch is the Buffer Zone but instead of blue cheese, you get ranch. NOMZ. Buffalo and ranch is such a beautiful combination of flavors. The dough on the outside is always the perfect density and consistency. The chicken fajita has some additional veggies which adds some nice texture and flavor. Most of the calzones don't come with any vegetables which my bf loves. He has tried many different calzones and has never been disappointed. He is obviously the reason we are always here. The only complaint I have is that they are sometimes a little slow. All in all, I really appreciate their consistency in making delicious calzones, especially late at night! read more

It was 11pm on a Wednesday and most places were closed so I ordered online for pickup from DP Dough. Nothing extravagant just one order of cheesy garlic knots. The confirmation email didn't give me a time to expect it ready. I walked to the restaurant (10-15 mins) and when I got there they hadn't put it in yet. Was here with Hubs for a VERY VERY LATE Dinner or LATE NIGHT EATS, on Friday January 20th 2012. Time was 22:30hrs ish. When we first arrived, there are several patrons dining in. We opt to order these that evening : * Meaty Zone ($6.75) * School Zone ($6.75) * Cheese Bread ($3.50) * 6 Wings ($5.00) * Root Beer ($1.00) * Fountain Drinks XL ($1.50) It took like about 15 mins or so, for all our food to be ready. We decide to dine in, at this establishment that evening. The good thing about this establishment, when you received your order, they "circle" the name of your order on the respective individual box. So in our case, Hubs its Meaty Zone and mine, was School Zone. Hubs like his order of Meaty Calzone and Cheese Bread. Thankfully the Meaty Calzone, are made with Ground Beef. The Meaty Zone are of Meatballs, Onions and Mozzarella. He gave 3.5 stars. YES the Calzone, is HUGE PORTION for some. I am glad it did, so I have plenty of leftovers. I am slightly disappointed with the Wings I ordered. Perhaps next time, I should request it with BBQ Sauce?? Maybe... I like my order of School Zone. The School Zone contains Steak, Mushrooms and Mozzarella. The food came out fresh, piping hot, cook to order and prepared for you like how I saw thru behind the counter, where all the CALZONE Action begins. This establishment was indeed kept clean. My ONE "qualms" perhaps with this establishment "policy" is that they locked the bathrooms, so you need to ask them for the keys to the bathroom and you definitely need to be a paying customer. I know its standard policy, but it could be a hassle for some, and perhaps for safety reasons due to where this establishment is located. As for the food alone, its a toss with 3.5 stars and DEFINITELY we dont mind returning when needed especially there are alot to choose to eat. When we were in Denver last weekend (we're from Los Angeles) I was craving pizza or a calzone. (Keep in mind, LA doesn't have calzone places anymore as they no longer exist so I just about lost my shit when I came across this place on Yelp!) well, we ordered two calzones, the bacon cheddar tater tots, the basil cheese bread, and 2 sugar cookies- yes, my sister and I ate all of this LOL. But the calzones were amazing! Marinara sauce to go with it was really good! The tots were really good & the sugar cookies?!? OH MAN!!!!! freshly baked sugar cookies that the owner recommended, best sugar cookies I've ever had in my life! So good! Overall, great experience and quality of food was very good for it being about 11pm on a busy Saturday night.
