Dp dough has never been a bad experience. I had a party of three and when we finished ordering, they told us it'd take about 10 minutes. We sat and waited. After about 30 minutes we asked one of the staff members what was going on. Just to find out that they never even printed out ticket to start with. We then had to wait another 15 minutes for three calzones to come out. They apologized for the wait and offered us cookies but I've never had such a bad experience here. I'm not sure if the guy working the computer was newer but how do you forget to push a button? It was very loud and we had to yell in order to tell the staff member the name on the order. read more

So I'm not the type of person to leave a bad review, unless the service is really, REALLY bad. I've worked in food service for years so I understand a lot of things that can go wrong, but.... Keep in mind when I got to the store, there were about 3 people inside and I could tell there weren't many delivery/pickup orders 1. I start calling in my order and about halfway through, the guy taking orders hangs up. 2. I call back and I'm on hold for literally 20 minutes. 3. I decide to just go to the store, and whole ordering, I watch the guy taking orders pick up the phone and hang up without even saying anything to the caller. 4. No cups for water? Strange. 5. The guy tells me they stop doing wings at a certain hour? The Fort Collins store has never told me this. I somewhat don't believe him but that's a strange policy if he was honest. 5. The temperature of the store was probably 58 or below and they had the ceiling fans on full blast. 6. He tells me the order is going to take 20 minutes. After 30 minutes, he walks up to me and my friend and asks us what the name on the order is again. At this point there are literally zero other people in the store. He walks back to the kitchen and brings up our order immediately. Who knows who long it was sitting there. 7. Super creepy area of town and we would hear moaning sounds every 2 minutes or so. Eventually found out it's one of their pinball machines. I could probably get past any of those things individually but all of that in one night? You guys gotta do something about that. My experience at DP Dough was pretty weird. I stopped in to grab something to eat before heading back to my hotel for the night. There was some open mic thing going on, so there were comics telling jokes while I was ordering food. There didn't seem to be anyone else inside the restaurant, so it was like they were just telling jokes to each other. It was pretty X-rated, which I do not mind, but it was just weird hearing those kind of jokes while waiting to eat. Either way, the staff wasn't rude, but not very helpful. My one calzone order took like 20 minutes to make, so I just waited around while listening to menstrual cycle jokes. Original review was 5 stars, updated to 3 stars. I love me some good DP Dough. I am recently noticing the service drop a bit. I have a 40 minute commute, so I call ahead, "be ready in 15 minutes!" Heard it before, numerous times. I've been waiting for 15 minutes and called in my order 40 minutes ago. Still waiting. I've also noticed that the punch card has been taken away. Luckily, I filled out my card with punches to get a free calzone one time. The calzones are still amazing. I enjoying trying new zones as my wife sticks to her Maui Wowie. If I could give this place more than 5 stars, I so would!! I've been a faithful DP Dough lover since I went off to college in Greeley and had my first taste out there. My husband and I usually order through GrubHub or Uber Eats, but every time we go in to eat, the staff is always funny, personable, and polite. I feel the price is right for the high quality and tasty calzones they serve. You really can't go wrong with any of their calzones. The girl that works here so obviously hates her job and is so openly rude each time I've been here. I know that there are only two people at night and that they're extremely busy which is why I'm always so patient and try to be kind. But that girl is just so sarcastic and rude and belittling every single time and it's not like she recognizes me from any time before. She just treats people like that. Truly baffling. Big fan of dp dough and I'm glad they're open and doing business again during this covid pandemic! I've been ordering from this location for years and generally get great service and good food. Very disappointed with my most recent order. I ordered 2 calzones and some dp dunkers via their online portal, I received a confirmation email shortly after and it stated that the food should arrive in 1 hour. I decided to call the store after 2 hours of waiting and inquire about my food, I was told that it was "out for delivery, and arriving shortly". After 3 hours I said screw it and gave up on the order, and ordered from somewhere else. After returning home with other food I had to call and make sure they cancelled my payment, this was 4 hours after the initial order was placed. While on the phone the employee told me that the delivery driver had given my food away to someone else (hope they enjoyed and leave a nice review) and that when she was told that my food was not delivered to the correct person it "slipped her mind". While giving her my info to cancel the correct payment she said "awesome" a couple times and barely squeezed and apology in. No offer to rush the food or discount it if I accepted it 4 hours late. I understand mistakes happen, and it's OK that they do. But to wait 4 hours with no correspondence, no solution and barely an apology is not ok. I'll be back but not without severely lowered expectations. Very disappointed with their customer service and professionalism. read more

This place has become my go-to spot for a late night post-work meal. They're always open late, the food is good, the prices great and the service fast and friendly. They have a good selection of veggie calzones. The pesto is a particular favorite of mine, though I also like the Strike Zone and the Spinner. Also, my husband tells me the wings are good. I do wish they had some healthier options, but that's just not what they do. I've had a hard time finding late night spots in my area of Denver, so I'm pretty excited to have discovered this place despite the cheesy, unhealthiness of it all. This review is for delivery. Parking sucks; the food is worth circling the block multiple times to find a space. Me and my family tried the combat zone. The twilight zone and the construction zone. We also tried both the boneless and bone in chicken wings oh and a cookie... every thing was superb. We are tourist in Denver and this was the perfect spot to grab some Denver originality. Go to D.P Dough's if you want an amazing calzone.probably the best calzone I have ever had in my entire 29 years of existance. I purchased the Italian Calzone with a side of Ranch Dressing to dip in. Words can't really describe it for me. It was just so good. Perfect amount of meat, perfect amount of cheese..and it all goes so well with the dressing. Hubby ordered a calzone of his own, although I forget the name of his b/c I was too focused on devouring mine..but he absolutely loved his as well. The cheesy bread was pretty tastey too!!! The prices are pretty good, a little over $20 for 2 calzones, cheesey bread and 2 fountain drinks..that seems pretty dang fair to me! I made myself only eat half of my calzone so that i could enjoy more of its awesomeness for a snack later :) I definitely recommend this place.. there's one in Denver and Boulder, I've been to both and theyre both the same..just great! read more

Beyond disappointing. I placed an order online for delivery, and then called in to ask approximately what I should expect for an eta. I was quoted at a half hour. A 40 minutes pass so I called in to check on things, I'm told the driver is leaving any second. Another half hour later, and I call to have them answer the phone saying "DP Dough, we're currently closed..." I explained my concern given the quoted time and that I only live 8 minutes away. Was basically told I should've never been quoted that (although I could tell it was the same person I talked to the other times), and rudely told the delivery driver was on the way and hung up on. When my food finally arrived, it was soggy and cold, lacking flavor. :( I will say the delivery driver was very nice though. In the end I will not be ordering from them in the future. read more

It is important to note a serving size is 1/2 of a calzone. I understand that it's a pizza place, and being stoned is a mandatory requirement for working in such an establishment, but for being in a town that prides itself on its ability to get shit done while high, the employees here bring shame to functioning potheads everywhere. Night manager here is super rude. Guy with glasses and bald. Ask for no pork in my calzone, tipped them, was super cool. I then left and got my calzone and it has bacon all in it. Called back and just asked if I could get another since my order was wrong and he just hung up. Pretty not chill. The dough and meat quality are also a big "no thanks". Great calzones! We always order the construction zone (build your own up to 5 toppings) and love the ingredients like broccoli, fresh garlic, and bacon. The price increased slightly by about a dollar, but at only $8 a calzone it makes for a great meal (sometimes leftovers)! The atmosphere is good for pick up and it's super casual.
